Hotel staff was friendly, pool was nice, lobby/restaurant/bar area was nice. Price was certainly competitive. Could hear a fair amount of noise from outside the room at night. No open electrical outlets near the desk in the room. Not much of interest within walking distance and it's a bit confusing accessing the hotel from the road (for cab/Uber drivers).
We enjoyed all aspects of the hotel including the restaurant, bar, pool, room, proximity to downtown Phoenix and the Light Rail, employees, and convenience of having a fridge/microwave in the room. Special callout on the pool which is much nicer than similar hotels and having a pretty nice restaurant & bar on the premises. The top issue with this hotel is its location. It sits up against the 17 Freeway and the road noise is significant. If you get a King Suite, it will most likely have the bedroom area / window right next to the freeway and is very loud. I would stay there again on a subsequent visit, but I will be sure to not book a King Suite and I will specifically request a room that is quiet. I also notice the traffic is louder on the 3rd floor, so I will also try to stay on a lower level. There was an odor in the room. I actually bought an air freshener from the store to put in the room. The free breakfast is OJ, Coffee, Sweet Rolls, Bagels, Muffins, and Apples. It would be wonderful to have something healthy besides apples (yogurt, oatmeal, additional fruit). They do have oatmeal and yogurt on the restaurant menu for $7 each which I took advantage of.
I rarely take the time to review stuff, but this place was really quite awful and if I can prevent other travelers from making the same mistake that my friend and I made by booking a room here, then maybe I'll feel vindicated. Truly the worst hotel I've stayed at, and at 100 bucks a night, it's no bargain. I felt completely duped by the pictures, the actual room we were given was completely devoid of any charm or modern amenities, but worst of all, it was just plain old dirty. Really disappointing and frankly, pretty gross. The only thing I liked about it was that it was within walking distance to Charlie's, perhaps the best bar in Arizona, so I could drink away my anger and disgust at myself for not actually taking the time to read some reviews before I booked this place.
Nothing. The hotel was absolutely filthy and the service was beyond terrible. It looks like the rooms have never been cleaned nor has anything ever been repaired or replaced. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The neighborhood also seems very unsafe.
The staff was very friendly and it had an awesome pool. Room was very hot/ac didn't work well. Mattress was very thin with a topper.
BED A/C unit POOL / Washer facilities Access Room appearance. Pool hours were ALWAYS disregarded and loud partying going on till the early hours. ECHO between the 2 buildings. CONSTANT clanging of unlocked / keyed metal gates. A hard to adjust hot / cold shower. Kreuger 1 cup coffee maker<< Should be a small pot coffee maker. No freezer in fridge.
The hot tub was cold and the housekeeping was very slow on responding to get toilet paper to room. 6 hours later
Staff was friendly. Facilities were clean
Clean Elevators slow and creaky, Shower slow & hard to set, Air Conditioner very noisy, Breakfast forgettable,
The front desk guy was really nice and willing to help with directions. The entrance and elevator smelled like cigarette smoke because they let guests smoke with the door open.
The staff was great and for the price the whole experience was what I would have expected with a 200$ hotel! Hotel 502 has become my go to when I come into town for business.. The location is great for what I need and the price works without blowing my whole budget.
Staff was very friendly and did everything in their power to make the stay comfortable. There was a nice flat screen tv in the room. Rooms felt uninviting, no where to plug electronics in, very strong orange cleaner smell in the room. Walls very thin, could hear the couple next to us, no breakfast offered at all. We stayed on the 4th floor, only ice machine on the 3rd floor at the very end of the hall...a little creepy. Very outdated bathroom fixtures, tiles and small cheap white towels. I would much rather stay at a chain hotel next time.
Nothing . I liked nothing about this place . Roaches alive and dead all over it was so nasty within two minutes of being in the room I regathering my shit and left . Nastiest place I've ever thought about staying . Renting to the drug locals and didn't feel safe at all . Just nasty ... Stay away from here Roaches , the other people staying , noise , toilets stained and sink stained . And live and dead roaches everywhere . Disgusting ... Immediately left and found another motel to stay in .
Checking in was a complete nightmare. After we checked in we couldn't access our room till it was cleaned. Finally went to our room only to find someone had been given our room. Given another room and that one looked as if someone had been murdered in our room. Box spring has huge blood stain that didn't look that old. Drug deals, homeless people, prostitues, gun shots. Absolutely horrible and I have no clue how they are even open. Worst hotel ever!!
Liked the location, room size, price and customer service DID NOT like bugs and roaches in the room, had to get my own bug spray, fees for WIFI, no breakfast included
I liked that I had shelter I didn't like the burn holes in my cover the weird leakage when I flushed or washed my hands
The price for one night is unbeatable. The room was nice. Very modern. And the lighting was absolutely amazing. Perfect mirror to take selfies in. I have never delt with such horrible customer service. CeeCee from front desk was extremely rude and had no sense of customer service.
Filthy dirty motel. Not worth the price. The motel is a hangout for criminals, drug addicts and prostitutes. Rooms that were supposed to be non-smoking reeked of stale tabacco odors. Horrible hotel. Swat squad with subscribe guns were active on the premises.
Proximity to Fry Bread House restaurant. Really shady part of town and sketchy people. They advertise WiFi, but it costs extra. I worried about the security of my car and it was loud.
