It was my first trip to New York. I was really impressed by the staffs and everyone at Pod 39. Very efficient and valuable hotel in New York. The location is very convenience. The hotel room was comfortable for one person or two people. I'm surprised of how clean the room was. The hotel maintain the cleanliness very well. Very reasonable prices. I wish they had a small fridge.

Great location, at an NYC cheap price. The room got completely dark at night. I couldn't hear much noise from the street or any noise from other rooms. The hotel itself was well kept and I felt safe. The comforter on the bed was only mostly clean, and the door to the bathroom was dirty also. You can clearly hear whatever is going on in the hallway, even when your door is closed. The bed wasn't sower comfortable.
I really enjoyed my stay at Pod39. The hotel was very nicely decorated, definitely a "trendy" hotel. I know they have many room options - I stayed in the bunk bed room which was very small and New York-like. The beds were really comfortable. I would most recommend this place for people traveling alone or with a small group (although the bigger rooms might be good for families - there is a bar/restaurant attached to the lobby, though, so keep that in mind). The price was quite good for an NYC hotel, and the location was great - I was able to walk to all the Broadway theatres as well as Koreatown near Herald Square. Also fairly close to a subway station and Grand Central. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay here again! The room was so small there was no ironing board - I didn't ask the front desk what my options were because my clothes weren't that badly wrinkled, so there may be a way to get your clothes ironed. It's not that big of a deal, really!
In a city where 3 star hotels are above $250 per night, POD 39 rises at a fenominal location, with modern clean and fresh look at a fraction of the price.... Staff is excellent and the rooms are small- cruise ship size, but that's a great compromise for the bvenefits you get... HVAC system was great and the shower is the best ever.... Some of the electrical outlets didnt work and could not be fixed..
We loved the layout of the room, the cleanliness, the speed of the elevators. Even staying directly next to the elevator wasn't a problem. Staff were very nice. The glass wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom is a big problem for us. I can't think of anyone I'd be comfortable staying in this room with. If I were alone, it'd be great.
Sure the room was tight but the bed was comfortable and everything worked fine in the bathroom. The location is wonderful and so is the value. I will return. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities very good

Great location, yes the rooms are small hence the name Pod however you're in New York, you're not really spending much time in them. The rooms are very modern and the shower is great.
Great shower and comfortable bed. Awesome location. Very small. Needed one more mirror and had a great place on the empty wall above the desk. Peep hole in the door had been pushed out and was filled with toilet paper. Bathroom sink was clogged up and wouldn't drain even after maintenance supposedly fixed it. Didn't have extra rolls of toilet paper and had to go to front desk to request more. Also no ice machine. Had to go downstairs to the bar and they looked at us like we were crazy when we ask them for a cup of ice.

We were on the 36th floor and most of the elevators were broken during our stay. Was difficult getting to and from our room. We had to use the service elevator many times.
Great access to grand central station, i.e. don't even have to go outside. Beautiful modern lobby, with dedicated elevators, so short wait times. Nice rooms, modern. Black mildew inside shower curtain. Did not swap out all towels after first evening so had to have face cloths and hand towels delivered. Maids talking in hallway while cleaning rooms early in the morning (my biggest pet peave).
Very good ambiance in lobby and also bedroom. Very nice experience during entire stay. Closer access to all main attractions & restaurants in NewYork. Value for money in major city. No hotel valet parking so need to find other valet parking nearby.
Staff was very pleasant and it was simple to extend an additional night. Cost of marketplace!! Noise was easily heard in hallway.
I did like the location and the fast check in. Room service was nice and fast! I did not like that I got a $30 per day upgrade and the room was still real small. Got a view of the side of another. Also, no shuttle to airport. Housekeeping didn't give extra towels at checkin as requested online. Wish I hadn't upgraded!

Location was excellent. Lack of options in the neighbourhood for affordable food, unless you wish to tempt fate and eat from a cart of death on the street. Gave us some credit for our hot room. Room was hot, hot, hot. Ac could not keep up. Went down to front desk to ask for assistance. They tried to find a fan but could not( 2:30 am don't blame them). The next day we had to get maintenance up the next day and they found us a fan.

proximity to train station, snack bar in lobby, restaurant just up from the lobby dirty bathroom floor, poor unkeep in bathroom--sloppy caulking around shower door, built-up crud around shower area, couldn't get into shower without walking directly under shower head. Worst problem was the "modern" touch light switches---couldn't leave a light on in the bathroom to see your way there in the middle of the night. Difficult to use all lights. Dark décor--depressing and dark wallpaper installed poorly--all you noticed were the seams in the wallpaper

Me and my girlfriend arrived to the hotel at 6pm. Check in time was 4pm but we were told we still had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the key? I would've understood if it was a computer problem but I wasn't given a reason as to why I had to wait.
Door man was not in a service. Luggage deposit payable even in waiting for the room clearance.
Location was perfect. My room and bathroom were very small, even cramped. I glanced in other rooms while housekeeping had them open and they were much more appropriate-sized. Perhaps my "low priced room" wasn't a bargain, but just the price of a small room.
Location, location, location. If you plan on walking and using the subway to get around the city the hotel is perfect as a home base to come back to if need be. Don't spend your time at the bar in the lobby...pretty pricey and you can just go to a hidden gem anywhere in the city. Also no room WiFi, but free in the lobby, so not too bad.

Easy location. Noise levels from road were quite loud. You can't sit in the bar area without buying a drink, even if you are a hotel patron. I had forgotten my phone charge and the hotel staff was not helpful in providing a temporary replacement, perhaps from lost and found. Instead I was referred to an overpriced in-house gift shop trying to sell me a micro-usb cable for 15-20$. Check-in is late at 4:00 pm. Room was tiny.
Accessibility/ location, customer service No sound insulation in rooms near elevators (room near elevator was outrageously loud because of elevator mechanism and doors continuously opening and closing). They moved our room, but could be a problem if hotel is full.
Wifi was great and entertainment and amenities on the ground floor were amazing. I had to change rooms because of the auto noise on the Lexington Avenue facing side.

Our room was nicely decorated and was clean. We also liked the fact that the hotel had water and coffee in the lobby. The hotel is centrally located, which made getting around the city very easy. The room was very small and it was difficult to maneuver around our one piece of luggage and each other in the bathroom. The wifi also wasn't secure.
The room was ok, was not too happy with my experience here. The place was a "4" star and the hallways my family and I smelled weed When I asked the valet parking to get please get my car "I was told it took 20 minutes " I waited 50 minutes and no one came to let me know my car was ready, and they knew I was wait for it.
The room was large for new york and very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding!! It includes juice, coffee and a basket of bread and pastries. The best pancakes are at Sofitel. It is a short walk to the theatre. No complaints, I will definitely go back to Sofitel
This was our first trip to nyc and chose Sofitel by recommendation as well as location and reputation. It was within walking distance to many attractions as well as excellent places to eat. We felt safe yet away from the main hustle and bustle. The beds were super comfortable and the bathroom was top class. Thankyou!

The location is PERFECT! Its close to everything yet away from noise and traffic! 5th ave is half a bloch away and time square is a bloch and a half. The rooms are very spacious and very clean. the staff is extreamly warm and accomodating. It is the hotel to stay on if your looking for luxury yet the comfort and warth of your home!

The room was overall inviting and the bed and pillows especially comfortable. Having to pay an extra fee for internet access, it should be a part of the cost of the room.

The location was perfect for theatre and shopping and catching the subway. The room was a little small. We had two twin beds and really not much of a view. Concierge (one of 3) was not particularly helpful. Very minimal Christmas decorations in lobby, other hotels much more festive.
The room and bathroom were spacious for a NYC room and with a coffee maker. The bed was not as luxurious as it appeared, the pillows were nice but the bed was rather stiff. Compared to the rest of the room it needed to be upgraded. The work out room was like being in a dungeon, ancient equipment, located in the basement in a really small space with low, low ceilings. A good amount of the space was taken up with an ice machine, soda machine & water despencing system.

Friendly staff, nice hotel, wifi with no charge, 2 PCs with Internet connection in Lounge for general use like on-line check-in for air travel. First room (no 611, at the back of the hotel) was small and very noisy due to air-conditioning outside in the alley. Staff were very helpful in transferring us to another room on the street side at the top floor (no PH05) the next morning. This room was more spacious and had more luxury. Noise from the street did not disturb us at all. Very well situated at 45th Str between 6th and 5th Av. and at walking distance of e.g. Time Square/Broadway, 42nd Str, 5th Av, Empire State Building, and even Central Park, etc. Café Manhattan right across the street is very nice for breakfast & lunch.
Staff was overall friendly and very helpful. Conditions were clean and well maintained. Free snacks in lounge area : ) Free bag check and maps of the area. Some of the staff members were a bit unfriendly. View was terrible and we had a choice of a room with a view or ground level and we asked for a view of the city. We were given a room with a view of a wall.
Great location, low rates. Very poor maid service, hotel environment very quiet & boring, not a place you would hang out in.
It was quiet refuge to come back to at the end of the day, and it's proximity to Times Square, theater district and dining made it very worth while.

Location is excellent. Hotel was also very clean. Cold drinking bottled water was available for hotel guests which was great in the NY summer heat. NY hotels are expensive so must say Club Quarters is value for money in comparison to others.
When I arrived, I was given a free upgrade to a queen size room. I was prepared, given the other reviews, for a pretty small room, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was more than enough room for just myself, and the bathroom was spacious as well. I also really liked the toiletries (they smelled so good!) and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Turning the shower to "high pressure" resulted in a very wet bathroom floor. I hadn't expected the lip between the shower and the bathroom to be so low! Additionally, I left my bag at the front desk the day I checked out, and I guess someone else's bag leaked something on mine? Or it's stored in the same space as they keep extra toiletries. The stain it left smelled a lot like the toiletries they give out. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until I got home.

It was fine... Nothing I would say it was a 4 star. Staff was very friendly and courteous. The cookie at night was good! Room was TINY! Barely enough room for the bed.... And it was only a full bed. Everything was old. Wallpaper was dis colored and peeling, bathroom tile had the corners that looked dirty but were just so old the tiles were worn. The bed was more of a futon than a real mattress.

Fantastic staff that went above and beyond to meet our needs. Turn town service was nice (cookies in the room!). The room was very small, but functional. There was a party going on down the hall that was very loud due to the thin walls. Took 2 hours from the first threat to kick the people out at 3am.
Only 1 window in room and it opened to a brick wall. Unable to see daylight. Room was like staying in. Large closet.
Easy check in and check out - all on a computer. Nice staff, perfect location for business on the east side. My window was open the whole time and I couldn't figure out how to close it. The heating was VERY loud.

Great location and valet parking
The complimentary happy hour in the lobby was a nice treat for hotel guests. Although, there seemed to be many attendees who were not hotel guests. I didn't like the smell in the hotel or my room. It smelled like pets and found out later the hotel was pet friendly - not a fan. I also didn't care for the decor in the hallways or room I stayed in. It seemed very dated and in desperate need of some modern updating. I also felt the complimentary toiletries were very disappointing and so was the $5.99 charge for printing tickets from a desk computer (labeled business center - very weak). The housekeeping service was very, very noisy each morning and the rooms weren't cleaned up to normal hotel standards.
Older building, recently updated. Lots of charm, yet very modern. Location wad terrific. Hotel was spotless. Pillows on bed were small.
Clean and spacious room The only reason why i booked this hotel is for the rooftop and you guys completly ruined my stay by closing the rooftop for a private event the ONE day i booked. Good to know that no matter how much cash you shell out youll still get beat over the head because of rich people wanting to close off a whole area of a hotel. Horriible experience.

Although an old hotel, everything was very clean. Poor window isolations, you have to keep the air conditioning on all the time to avoid street noizes. As everything about NYC accomodations, the prices are ridiculously high.

Large suite but basic and near Grand Central and perfectly adequate for a city trip. Hotel needs a makeover. No double glazing so rooms at front has lots of traffic noise. No blankets in room or spare pillows. Old and tired! We asked concierge about travel detais on the subway and he simply shrugged his shoulders and left us to find out ourselves.
I went with my girlfriend and her 17yr old sister. Everything was perfect. The front desk personnel were more then accommodating and the room was beautiful. the hotel itself was great. I couldn't have asked for anything more!!
In general the staff was nice and accommodating. In particular the concierge named Aisha (spelling?) was extremely kind and helpful. The room was clean, and got the job done. I would stay here again as it was a great value and location. My 'Cosy Queen' was pretty small. If I had another person sharing the room, it would have definitely been too small. But for myself it was fine, but not for the clastrophobic!
The lobby is beautiful and the location is great. Upon arrival to an already expensive hotel, I was told I had to pay a MANDATORY fee for "free wifi and a 10% food voucher and gym use". I didn't want any of that, but was forced to pay anyway. I was woken up by housekeeping next door at 5:55am - no apology when I left at 6am because I couldn't sleep. The room was dusty and not very clean and I ended up taking the stairs from the 12th floor because the elevators were sloe, though those issues were nothing compared to the terrible hours and ridiculous fees. Do not stay here.
Historic property. They don't make them like this any more. Elevators were very slow and jam packed with people at peak hours. Also, there are lots of stairs in lobby making accessibility a challenge for disabled.
I liked the location and for the most part the room was clean and the bed was nice. I didn't like how most of the hotel was not updated and the valet service took a while.
The location for the cost is imcomparable. I will definitely put this on the list next time. Front desk and bar staff were not service oriented. Bar prices are... well... it's NYC.

Checked in after a long flight from Australia at 11pm. Room was not made up and bathroom was disgusting. Went to receptionist who allocated us another room - same result. Demanded a refund, and went and checked in at the Westin. Very disappointed.
Location was great Elevators were impossible. Had to wait upwards of 10-15 minutes for an elevator to reach the 10th floor, every single time we used them. Actually opted to take the stairs a few times to save time. Toilet in the room ran for almost 5 minutes after every flush. We were locked out of our room at 1130am, 30 minutes prior to checkout time. The "breakfast bar" in the hotel lobby had nothing but coffee and 2 bananas left at 10am, with no other options provided. We did not get a receipt at checkout, either, nor was one emailed to us. And lastly, we waited for almost 30 minutes for our car to be brought around at checkout because the driver was waiting for the doorman to call him to come around (which he did as soon as we came outside).
The deluxe rooms are a good size considering NY space. The baths in the deluxe rooms are a real indulgence if you have the time to take advantage of them, the staff are helpful and friendly and the hotel generally achieves its 'cool' status if that's important to you. Just a heads up, it is a real favoured after work drinking hub and often still much like a bar into the late evenings. Nice touch with the Ipad in the room, location was spot on and easily accessible to all the areas. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Royalton, but had gotten a good rate through booking.com. Paying standard rates I may have felt it was alot of money for what it was. Concierge Sasha was exceptionally helpful and was always willing to help. Whilst I appreaciate the mood and ambience of the hotel it would be nice to have been able to get more natural light into the room, we faced the inner courtyard so this might have attributed. I found the cost of the room service pretty expensive but the food was good if small in portion. My main gripe was the internet in the room, for a pretty signigicant charge it would cut out regularly if two consoles or laptops were being used at the same time (I was there on business), suggestion for improvement would be maybe a more varied offering in the gym it was relatively limited on the machines.
Location is good. Very Poor customer service. Room Key was not working @ 1am. They send me back n forth 4 times to check if i was doing something wrong or key was the problem. After that they figured out the lock battery was discharged and was recognizing the key. Then we Had to wait in the waiting area till 230am with my pregnant wife. I was so outraged with this but hotel staff was least concerned. Horrible experience & very expensive parking.
As a regular guest at other Morgans Hotels, I was once again left completely impressed and taken by the ambience created in each of their hotels, from decor, to music, to design to their staff. Ideal location, lovely bar/foyer, wonderful cocktails, fantastic service.
How close it was to 5th Avenue Nothing
I loved the environment. It was very friendly and warm. My bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. I wish the TV was in a better location and the iPad had more apps on it.

Jessica on concierge was fantastic. She was very helpful and was very friendly. As well as being the only person you literally have any contact with. I really was disappointed with the ambience each afternoon. It felt like we were walking into a nightclub each day. The lighting was perfect, however the music very obtrusive and the relaxation of the hotel was not there.

The location was great. Walking distance to Grand Central Station. The bathroom was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were friendly and the concierge was somewhat helpful. The first thing I noticed is that the staff were not dressed very neatly. As I struggled with my bags and getting into the lobby the doorman didn't help at all. Then when I got up to my floor I smelled a strange odor, almost like a skunk, and then in my room it smelled like mildew the entire time I was there. I had to spray my cologne all over the room so I wouldn't smell it when I was trying to fall asleep. The blanket on the bed looked dirty like it was covered in dog hair so I didn't even touch that and also everything felt sticky in the room. I also didn't receive a courtesy call to assure everything was ok with the room.

Rooms were large (for New York) and comfortable. Bathroom was large. Staff was friendly. Very close to Grand Central Terminal. Quiet at night. Food prices at Silverleaf were not posted and VERY high!
The staff was so nice and went above and beyond to be as helpful as they could. Mario was a wonderful door man that was able to compensate the trouble we had with our door. Chris and Danny helped my mom and I get metro cards so we could use the subway to travel around the city. Danny physically walked us to the train station to show us where to buy the metro cards. We had issues with the door to our room the entire stay, the key card wouldn't work after ten minutes of being programmed.

Great Staff, very good location for us. Were always cheerful from the front desk to front door and especially the service people. Would recommend outright with the exception of noise. Had very noisy neighbors next to us. Sound traveled easily through the walls. Traffic noise was also pretty apparent.

Easy to get to fom Laguardia. Room nice, clean , quiet, temperature control worked well, staff efficient and nice. Twenty min walk to Harold Squire, MSG, Penn Station, 5 min to Grand Central. Good value hotel.
The location is great for anyone coming from Long Island. I really like knowing that Kimpton always welcomes pets. Fire alarm battery needed to be replaced. I ended up taking it out to make the beeping stop. I told the front desk, but they didn't seem bothered. The thermostat was held to the wall with tape. It came loose and the batteries did as well. I don't know if I received awards points or not, but I'm not sure I care. Kimpton wouldn't honor the lower price I found on hotels.com; so, I didn't book the room through them.
Enjoyed comfortable beds, coffe shop and evening wine that was complimentary. Stayed there with wife and two teenage children - bathroom was too small!

Nice Astrosphere.. Close to the theater district.. Room was Pose. Like the fact they held our bags while we roamed the museums after we checked out. Wish it had two chairs in the room, the bed was too soft and to low hurt our backs getting in and out of it. Wished we could get more than an continental breakfast from the hotels' restaurant.
Staff were courteous, helpful and polite. Really enjoyed coming back to the hotel to a Glass of wine- nice touch! The Hotel is almost ready to receive guests! Bulb missing in bed side light 201. bad batteries in most of the smoke detectors, and plumming making tapping noises in the evening. The staff was very kind, prompt and courteous in dealing with the problems.

When we came it was just opened and some starter problems, handshower didn't work rooftop not open yet, but I'm sure it all will be fiixed and perfect in no time,would book it again for the rate I got.....hope it wasn't a beginners rate
the design of the hotel and rooms and its location THe shower ran cold for about 10 minutes. Also it was plumed wrong. the hot markings were freezing and the cold one was hot.
Clean rooms, basic but of a good standard. Nice having a balcony albeit with no view to speak of. No real bar in hotel. No twin bedded rooms but very large bed.

Very close to the subway and Grand Central Station. 24 hour luggage storage after checkout and the staff was very friendly. It is on a busy street due to the location and you can hear some traffic from the room but it wasn't too loud, especially for NYC it wasn't too bad.

Nice efficient hotel and very conveniently located. The room was of okayish size. The attached washroom was rather awkward - can't lock the door and the wash basin was too small leading to water spilling all over the place. One day the room could not be cleaned and when we complained, the manager himself came for the apology and also offered compensating action which was very nice of him.Elevators are quick. Washroom
Elizabeth in housekeeping was a tremendous help in getting bedding and towels for us!!! She was pleasant while we were all very angry about the bed situation. Thank you Elizabeth! Long wait for checkin. Need more staff at front desks. I reserved a room with 2 double beds for 4 people. I called twice to confirm and reiterate that I wanted 2 double beds. At checkin I said I needed 2 double beds(this was at 1:30pm) Receptionist said yes I see that is what you requested. I was told room was not ready and they would call be about 3pm when room was ready which they did. Again, a long wait for receptionist, she gave me keys to room which had a king size bed and pull out sofabed!!! I called front desk to get a room with 2 double beds as I requested and they said they had no more and because I booked with a third party (travelocity) they could do nothing about it as rooms are not guarenteed (bed types). I am angry about this situation and will rethink ever staying at a Westin hotel and I will also rethink about using travelocity.
Nothing. Third party booked stay then went bankrupt. No email or advance notice. Hotel receptionist extremely rude and antagonistic. Not enough decency to offer comparable rate to alleviate situation. Never again.

the location was good for the purpose of my business trip the bathroom was the size of a small closet with the smallest tub I have ever seen. the internet did not work for two days and on one day I had a cold water shower. Definitely not a 5 star hotel other than their prices and flower arrangement in the lobby
Clean and comfortable upscale hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The restaurant pricing, especially for breakfast, is out of control.

Location good. No facility for making tea in the rooms. The extracters in the bathrooms did not work. Complementary Tea/coffee in lobby stopped at 7am.Basic internet facility should be complementary. the bathrooms are too small.
Rooms are quite larger, ceilings high. Decor is modern but not colorful. Still some areas under construction
The staff were always helpful and the hotel was in a great location to shopping, Times Square and Grand Central Station The shower used cloth shower curtains so that by the second shower the water would wick out to the second curtain and onto the floor. Also there is no fan in the bathroom so it was a bit steamy when you got out.
We went to NYC just before Christmas and could not have been happier with this hotel. Although our room was small, we did not spend much time in the room and therefore it did not bother us! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the location was amazing! We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the city!

Location was good for walking but, I was very dissappointed at how dirty smelling the lobby was. I stayed in NYC before and after a trip to the Galapagos. On the way down I stayed at a Hilton and on th way back I spent a little extra to end the holiday on a high note and chose the Intercontinental. In Asia Intercon hotels are luxurious and wonderful. The Intercon Barclay was a big dissappointment. The smell in the lobby for all 3 days was sour and foul. It reminded me of a gym locker. I hated walking through the lobby and sometimes you could smell it on the stairs before you even entered the building. Considering I paid about 100 dollars more a night then the Hilton, which was only three streets away, the room was very small and cramped. The bathroom was also very small, dirty, and the grout in the tile had not been cleaned well
