I had difficulty finding the hotel, the location of which bore no resemblance to the google map I got online.. The girl at reception was unable to tell me where my room was. She wanted the porter to show me, but as my car was full this would have entailed his running along side the car! I finally asked for a room I could find and she gave me one closer. There is no map of the Hotel to show guests where their rooms are. I realize this is too much to ask of a Mexican hotel, but it is a sensible solution. The coffee shop does not open until 7:00 AM. This means that by the time they get their act together, one would not get on the road until almost 8:00 Hotel is overprices for very little.
The hotel has a certain, Mexican charm. The breakfast is bad, get it somewhere else

Nothing The fact that as soon as I arrive at Hermosillo's International Airport, and go to their booth at the airport, I am told there wasn't a reservation in my name, and that I probably got it wrong. I pulled my smartphone and showed the attendant the reservation confirmation and date it was made (Oct 4) and she then proceeds to tell me that my reservation was cancelled and given to someone who was part of a larger group. And I did not even receive a courtesy note, e-mail or phone call.
This is our second time staying at Lucerna. The staff was very pleasant and nice. I will say though, that our first stay was nicer. In our room there were not enough towels and after asking for them, I still didn't receive what I had asked for. Hence the 3 stars. Room was clean and food was good. The front desk was very nice and welcoming.
The rooms have been completely renovated, the pool is amazing and the buffet brunch is just incredible. Its located in a great and safe area central to everything in Hermosillo.

I give this place a 4+ star rating (fifth is highest). Some of the changes this place should do is remove the carpet in every room! After many feet have travel through, it has a uncomfortable smell. Tile would be the best change for an old building. The service was very good, restaurant food was great! Pool area is beautiful, cleanliness is very good inside and outside. Staff very nice, friendly and polite. Beds and pillows did NOT smell....yeah! Bathroom very clean, a bit old but well kept. Towels could use some softener to make them more appealing to the body. Area is nice....easy to travel around the city. Lots of ammeneties around. I recommend this hotel ****
I love the stuff, the rooms, the shower, the parking, the food in restaurant. This is now my only choice for Hermosillo.
The hotel and rooms were very nice Front desk was not very organized when it comes to your reservation. They had 2 reservations for me but didn't show that I cancelled one which caused a delay in checking into my room. Also, I later realized that they charged me more than what I had reserved the room for.
One word 'staff'. If there had to be something it would be the breakfast was not getting renewed quick enough. Which was not really a problem.
It is very clean and modern, but what sticks out immediatly is the staff and the professional atmosphere upon enteriing the hotel. Nothing line any Hampton I have stayed in in the States. The one thing that did not sit well is that this room in specific had trouble with the door closing fully on its own which became an issue with the cleaning staff and their follow though on the security of the guests.
