accessibility to southbank, its market and resturants. The fact that for the 5 nights I was there the gym and sauna were not operating due to renovations. This was not stated on the Hotel.com site. It was one of the reasons I booked it.Very disappointing. The hotel did provide alternative places but its just not the same and inconvenient.
Dining room menu was limited and food was not of the highest quality. The CBD bar had basic food( chips.burgers etc) but extremely noisy. As a rydges priority guest, because we booked through you,we were not allowed the 10% room rate discount.next time we will book direct with the hotel.
The offer of an upgrade of rooms for only a little more each night. I was attending a conference, all facilities and events well coordinated and of a high standard. Great location, spent most of my time in South Bank. Everything was at our door step. Friendly, knowledgeable staff will to help us with all requests. All good , I can't think of anything not to like
Very helpful easy access godd area for eating and entertainment unable to get hot drink later part of evening in the cafe area
Perfect Location to the Southbank Markets, Brisabne and beautiful restaurnants Not so much the hotel, but the Taxi service they phoned for us & used was very poor.
Rydges has a great location. Close to South bank, concerts, shopping, galleries, etc.
The location is second to none for ease to walk everywhere. I think it is expensive for what you get-i.e. no wireless internet included.Unable to book through reception over the weekend.
very helpful and friendly staff, very efficient at check in and check out bed was not ideal - one side sagged, bathroom a bit outdated/tired
its ease to the Convention Centre and South bank. Train services very accessible also. Probably a little excessive in price during peak periods.
Comfortable room, nice size The TV was slow to operate and awkward to turn on. Room prices seemed quite high, probably related to the Ashes being played in Brisbane at the time.
It was an ideal location for attending a conference at the Brisbane convention centre, particularly as I was travelling alone. Great, spacious, well equipped rooms. I thought the price was a little on the high side. The noise of the nearby train could be an issue.
The staff were very pleasant, our room was large & well equiped, and was very convenient to trains & ferries.
location was perfect for our function we attended , the water view and walk and market on sunday was great my wife and i yed in town all day. the bath room was very poorly lit , lights out etc.
Convenient location, pleasant environment and excellent staff Loud train noise outside my room making sleeping difficult
Proximity to City centre, but no price advantage to offset the not-so- convenient South Bank location. Other hotels better located in the cbd can be had for the same price. The hotel's internet connection is not good. Docomointertouch does not replicate Outlook e-mail. This is a Docomointertouch problem, and despite having complained about this many times they have not addressed the problem. You can find similar complaints on the Flyer Talk website for other guests who have come accross Docomointertouch at other hotel chains (Hyatt etc). Also, your washbasin in the bathroom is less than minimalistic: no space for 2 toiletry bags, and hardly sufficient space to wash, water splashing everywhere. Not good.
It was lovely having a luxury two bedroom apartment that had a great view of the fireworks and that is very close to the Brisbane River. Couldnt see pancakes on the buffet breakfast.
The room was clean and very comfortable. The bathroom can be updated.
The staff were extremely helpfull, the location was excellent within walking distance of Southbank and the view from 610 was superb! First room was not so good but the staff quickly changed to a better room.
Close to public transport, great views from the hotel room and friendly, knowledgable staff.
The staff right from directing us to the hotel ( we got lost) to finding me a coffee plunger, extra blankets, just fantastic thanks Jas. So close to Southbank just perfect Nothing if you cant complain what can i say
The staff are courteous, prompt. They should use eftpos machines which accept Visa or Master or other international cards or alternatively accept international currencies.
The location was good, and it was one of the cheaper hotels in Brisbane. Although I never used it, there was a sauna and a nicely warmed spa. There was free parking, and they let us park the car there for a few more hours after we had checked out. The shower was warm with good water pressure and good height on the nozzle. The entire hotel had a strange smell (I think it was cheap cleaning products). The room had thin windows and the air conditioner/heater had some holes around it (as it was propped within the window) and we had a view of the M3, so the noise was horrific. We could have tried to turn on the heater to drown out some of the noise, but it was louder and more erratic than the motorway. The room was dusty. You could easily feel the springs through the thin mattress. We were quite cold both nights, as we couldn't turn on the heater because of the noise and there weren't enough blankets. They didn't bring us refills of shampoo and conditioner for the second day, and when I told the receptionist upon check out, she didn't apologize.
We enjoyed our stay, the location was great & the room comfortable, the rate was also very affordable & it included parking.
The view of the Brisbane River, Southbank and the lights of the city at night was breathtaking. Including breakfast with the overnight stay was a bonus. Parking was free
The Staff were very friendly, quiet location & close to Southbank and the Gabba bathroom could do with a minor upgrade
