ข้อดี: My dietary preferences didn't get reported right and the flight attendant was very accomodating and made me a platter of a bunch of sides whereas other airlines in my experiences just say tough luck.

Food portions were painfully small (lunch of chicken risotto) AND I found pretzel flavoured breakfast bap unpopular.

ข้อดี: My daughter traveled as an unaccompanied minor overseas and was taken care of reasonably well. The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. My daughter said she slept very little overnight due to a rude passenger who was talking very loudly and using a phone. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee.

I was in the toilet for 5 minutes. Very uncaring. The tea was cold when served

ข้อเสีย: Late taking off. Sat 30 minutes at Beijing airport waiting to park, then waited 15 minutes for a bus transfer to the terminal build. Only one bus so deplaned at the speed of the slowest passenger. 10 min bus journey to the terminal building. Missed my flight to the UK. I recommend you use an airline that pays for an air bridge and can coordinate the ground staff to be ready for the planes arrival!

ข้อเสีย: More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines.

ข้อดี: 2 free meals, attendants were very nice and ready to serve, free wine and multiple coffee and tea and drink calls. Also the flight was cheaper than most, which credits all the previous feedback provided.

ข้อดี: Seats were fairly comfortable and there was lots of space. Good Inflight entertainment though movie choices were more limited compared to some other carriers.

ข้อเสีย: On our flight from Shanghai to Toronto (September 27th, 2016 @ 12pm - flight MU207) was total madness. A lot of the passengers were out of control. I've never seen anything like it. The amount of people walking around were unbelievable. People were playing cards, doing jumping jacks and tai chi around the emergency exit. None of the flight attendants tried to control the crowd nor informed them that they shouldn't be doing that by the emergency door. We had to inform the flight attendants of what was going on while they were hanging it or doing whatever they were doing in their own area. If that wasn't stressful enough, the passenger behind me started punching my seat and shaking my headrest multiple times because he wasn't happy that I had my chair reclined. EVERYONE HAD THEIR CHAIR RECLINED. We called the flight attendant and she apologized for what the man had done instead of putting him in his place and him apologizing for what he did because not long after she left he did the same thing! I've never experienced such a horrible flight and I've been on over 20+ flights just this year. China Eastern really needs to train their flight attendants better and teach them how to manage passengers when they are out of control. I've never written any reviews before but this was just such a terrible experience that I needed to leave this review.

When I talked to someone At the end another is arranged at 1625, only delayed until 1900 for boarding, and took off at 2000.

ข้อดี: Was able to get an Economy Plus seat, which is nice - great legroom for an almost 6' tall person and power plug is very handy. Entertainment & screens on the 787 is very good. Regular distributions of water was very helpful since I wasn't able to fill up my bottle before getting on the flight.

ข้อเสีย: Not a great amount of food available, and one of the larger cabin crew members kept brushing my arm as she walked past, which didn't help me get any sleep.

ข้อดี: United seems to have simplified how it separates the boarding groups, so getting on the plane was well organized. The 787 aircraft was spacious and comfortable, which seems to put both passengers and crew in a good mood. Lots of entertainment options were available, so the three hour flight flew by. And we arrived early! A great experience on United.

ข้อดี: I was lucky enough to travel on the 777-300 new config business. Pyjamas to boot, never had those in biz class before. Hats off to China Eastern, exceeded my expectations and beat the competition. Gutted my flight is with Lufthansa from Shanghai to Frankfurt. Will definitely be looking to fly with them again. Can't comment on economy as didn't get chance to look around.

ข้อเสีย: I made friends with another passenger who when texting his number introduced himself as ‘XYZ, flight from hell’. That pretty much sums it up but here’s a laundry list of issues I faced on the trip 1. They landed us in a different airport in China and did not inform us on how to get to the other airport (PVG). After several failed attempts of catching a taxi that accepts Visa or US dollars, we finally got a bus that ferried us 2. They also did not automatically transfer the luggage, so I had to carry my two checked in bags to the other one and then stand in a 45 min queue to get them checked in again 3. Unhelpful ground staff 4. Delayed second flight. After a shitty eight hour long layover, we got another 2 5. Horrible food 6. No ear plugs are available in the plane 7. Not a single apology from the crew about the delay Also, anyone who doesn’t speak mandarin needs to understand that the crew in China is not well equipped to understand and help you, so be prepared to have the translation struggle

ข้อเสีย: The reception in Shanghai did not at first permit me to connect on my flight to Rome. If I missed that I have a flight on Monday 11am to Geneva that I would miss. My shortened layover in Shanghai due to Manila delay was still 45 minutes but Inwas being asked to transfer and get another flight through the transfer desk. Luckily After a few minutes in line at the transfer desk, was allowed back on my original flight. However and unfortunately, it was due to another 2 hour delay. arrived Rome 815++ pm ISO 6pm.
