Very attentive service, very comfortable seats on economy, good food, excellent attention to detail
I was early to check in . But the check in was slow and I. Had to run to my plane ride .. and had no time to shop

The food (Japanese) clearly was a league of its own. Service was prompt, attentive yet discreet.
Selection of video entertainment could be increased and improved.

One hour late after a stay over already 4 hours.
As a Platinum AFK/KLM Skyteam member I was NOT allowed to use the Delta Lounge. On the flight the meal choice was poor and the staff were not really geared to serving regular clients. The movie choice was poor. I expected better!
Some of the ground staff was trying to be helpful.
That we had to sleep like homeless people on the floor of JFK airport as the airline was not able to provide for a crew and therefore cancelled the flight. The airline cancelled the flight at 1.30 in the morning so no one was able to get a stay in a hotel not did the airline take any action towards helping the stranded passengers. We were given blankets and pillows. The best thing was the ground staff getting rude after all passengers complaining. They were basically saying we should get stuffed since we were booked for a flight next day same day. This is shameful! Needless to say that I will not fly this airline again!
Good for an economy flight
Staff are friendly and helpful. Communication generally helpful. Flight comfortable other than for the food and seat cushioning. (see below) They handled our delayed connection brilliantly, putting us in a hotel in Abu Dhabi for the day. Very restful and handled very well.
Food and comfort of seats. Pretty standard long-haul experience.
Unfortunately our flight from London to Abu Dhabi was delayed and we missed our connection through to Melbourne. However because of the way they hsndled this the delay turned out to be a blessing! Etihad put us up for the 12hour daytime delay in the magnificent Marriot Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The communication and transfer were handled very well. It was a painless process and we got to enjoy a lovely rest before being transferred back to the airport and flying home. Pretty much a faultless experience and one that would see me fly Etihad again without hesitation.
Whilst the food at the hotel was amazing, the same cannot be said for the plane! The food was very ordinary. The chicken pie was barely edible. In terms of seating, the seats are pretty standard long-haul fare. There is limited room but the issue is cushioning. They feel pretty hard and it was difficult to be comfortable.

No food, only purchasable snacks payable only with a card not cash. That incurs charges for those that are not US card holders! And extortionate prices. Wifi based entertainment so you need your own tablet/phone. Great if the wifi works - it didn't. Neither on the outward or return journeys.
Was on time
Crew was exceptional (as usual), everything ran smoothly and on time.
It doesn't make sense to board from the front of the plane backward. I know this is not an AA thing, but a way to make customers paying more feel more special by having the privilege of sitting on the plane longer...but it's really silly.
Very friendly, constantly hard working crew. They didn't stop moving through the cabin for the whole flight. Swift boarding.
Extremely poor food. Airline food is rarely enjoyable but I had two mouthfuls of my pasta and left the rest even though I was hungry. Dreadful "entertainment " system. 4 tiny screens over the centre row is seats showed the in flight movies. This on a transatlantic flight. What decade are American Airlines in?! The fleet look like they date back to the '90's at best!!
Boarding was prompt, flight attendants polite and accommodating.
If I am in business class and platinum status, why can't I use the lounge - which is only available to Platinum status going to LA or SF, Latin America but not to Cancun. American Airlines needs to change this policy.

The overall experience was horrible. As a start - even though we bought the ticket via China Eastern, they claimed no responsibility over the tickets, since it was operated by China Southern. We were re-directed to them to complete the check-in process. The flight was delayed by 5 hours, without fiving no explanation to the customers or any direction at all. The flight was supposed to depart at 9:15 in the evening, at midnight the status on the boards at midnight was still "check in" and the team at the desk were not cooperative at all. Tgank you.

Despite the late arrival of the inbound aircraft, the bus boarding was efficient and we were ready to go fairly swiftly. The seats were quite comfortable for a short flight, it was a visibility newish B737-800 aircraft. The food was bland and flavourless, but they did serve fruit and Haagen Dazs
Again the food was basic apart from the ice cream. The entertainment came in the form of pop down screens that just played a Chinese drama. The single most frustrating thing about flying any Chinese airline though is the blanket ban on all mobile phones during the flight, even in flight mode. A imbisilic and embarrassingly outdated rule that is clearly one of the many achievements of the CCP. Wake up and join the rest of the world!
Long waiting queue 100+ People and only 2 staff working for standard check in. No baggage drop for already checked in passenger
The journey was smooth, the seat was comfortable enough. Food was decent.
I took 2 connecting flights back home, both flights were delayed by 2h and 1.5h respectively. No estimated new departure time was given, and the staff took very long (well after the supposed departure time) before they made an announcement for us to apologise for the delay. Service was mediocre. Half the time the crew was no where in sight, so it was difficult to ask them for something. When pressing the bell for service, they also took very long to respond. Once, when i had asked a steward for water, he was busy and told me to go to the back of the airplane to get it myself.

It's always the same food and just one served beef rice! It would be nice if they could vary the food menu.
Arrived 2 hours before flight time (1315) but massive queue at bag drop and security. When got to security it was already 1230 and gate is closing in 25 minutes, I talked to people for a quicker access but to no avail. When I got through security, it was 1305 and the gate was closed. About another 12 passengers on the same flight could not board the same flight. When I talked to someone At the end another is arranged at 1625, only delayed until 1900 for boarding, and took off at 2000.
They lost my luggage and their response was "we don't generally track Our baggages. Our system doesn't do that."
The food was good the crew were very nice and polite
The seating was a bit cramped. Because I have long legs there wasn't a lot of room between rows. I have been on other flights with China Airlines where the seating was comfortable and roomy but this flight wasn't. The entertainment screen was not very user friendly. The screen was small and not very clear to watch.
Entertainment - good choices of movies and newer LCDs.
Compared to Delta where they proactively offer unli cocktails and drinks to business class and comfort, I've never had one offer in my return trip. Had a technical malfunction twice which caused me to miss my 7am connecting flight by 2 mins. The next plane didn't even bother to wear for 2 mins even if they caused the delay. They gave a 250NT lunch voucher and asked to what til the next flight in the afternoon. That was the longest flight I experienced coming from New York.
Service on the ground and in the air was efficient, if somewhat cool and uninterested. (The exception was at checkin counter where the service was great.) options for entertainment were great. Food was decent, legroom was decent, plane was older but still decent....
The entire plane's group of passengers seemed to be lined up at the boarding gate - no explanation why, but they were checking ID's. Then the line just moved into the plane. I prefer boarding by rows, especially when traveling with my young son. Air crew seemed pretty uninterested in anything beyond the basic requirements of the job.
