When I booked, I must have put the ticket under Susie instead of Susanne and despite showing her my passport she said I was going to be charged 800 baht to fix my name. It took two separate supervisors for them to realize that the passport number I booked with was in fact the same passport number I was presenting to them. I also wanted to check a piece of luggage and had to go to a different counter, waiting on another line to pay for the luggage. Not one person explained that upon landing in Bangkok for my layover that I would need to take my luggage off of the carousel and then repeat the process I did at the Chiang Mai Airport. It baffles me that they have no organization because prior to getting up to the counter, 4 people were clearly unhappy with the customer service. I would not recommend this airline company to anyone, in fact I would advise that people wouldn’t use it."

Again I give praise to the wonderful crew members for the stellar and comforting service. They truly are the reason I have not given up on AirAsia just yet. Now I do have one leg left, my tip home...I’m hoping that this one will be the overall best experience for my AirAsia. I checked in with plenty of time and when I arrived in Singapore I was advised that not only could they not call to Panang to inquire about my bag -it had to be arranged through email but also bags aren’t destination scanned! I work for United airlines and it seems primitive not to know where a bag is in today’s day and age. The following day, knowing that I was departing back to the United States miraculously my bag showed up at the airport the same time as my minimum required check in time."

If AsiAsia are going to keep to this 7kg hardline they really need to do it across all airports and do it during the document check so the number of queues costumers are subjected to are minimized. I did purchase extra weight when purchasing the ticket however that weight MUST be in checked bags only. No margin here for discussion. Perhaps HotSeat passengers are less scrutinized??? This all may be just some transitional pains here and other airlines may follow the same model but in my 200+ flights on Nok Air this has NEVER happened. In fact, they (Nok) have NEVER weighed my carry on bag. Such a shame as the rest of the flight experience was above average. This hardline approach will be an issue if they continue until they beat their customers into taking or leaving it in my opinion. First AirAsia flight for me so the vets reading this will be smiling quietly to themselves ;-)"

I take budget flights 2-3 times a year and this is the worst experience I've had with budget carriers (including the European budget carriers with dirt cheap fares and sometimes non-existence customer service)."

I am allowed to stay up to 48h in HK airport for transit without any visa, I had to quickly find and purchase the flight ticket to HK with another airlines, with them it was no problem to fly to HK for transit. All other few flights with AirAsia were bad as well. We were refused to get water as a complimentary during a log flight from HK to Manila. Every flight was always delayed up to ~1 h."

You left me only 2 hours to disembark in Bangkok, get luggage at the Domestic carousel, go through customs, take luggage to the Check In counter in the International, get boarding pass, go through customs and security. Then race to the boarding gate for my INTERNATIONAL flight to Denpasar. What a trauma. The International Air Asia check in was mobbed!! I only made it in time because staff at the check in found me by chance and put me to the front of the line. I won't use Kayak again, after using you for 15 years. You have a nerve selling such a ticket."

I realize there's no reason to be frustrated with a crew as they're just doing their job, but the airline as a whole is a little archaic and very strict."

For couples who bought tickets together, seats were assigned at different locations even though the flights were not full. This happened on all four flight segments for us. And it was not just to us. It happened to many other people on our flights. When I asked at the check-in counter at Singapore airport to change the seat assignments, the agent lied to me that there are no other seats available. In reality, there were many empty seats on all our flight segments."

After finally boarding the plane it was dirty. Tray table wad really sticky and there was a used cup in my seat I had to remove before sitting. Also my seat did not recline so I was very uncomfortable with small amount of leg room. The flight was supposed to land in Hong Kong at 7:15 by the time we got to hotel it was 1:30am. It's a shame I had to pay for the whole night at the Hotel."

The flight was approximately two hours later commuting due to "late turns on previous sectors." Updates were not provided so you had to sit for hours in the gate listening to constant gate calls for other flights. There is essentially no restaurants on the concourse. Inflight meals were all pay as you go. I was not asked if I wanted a meek, I guess because I wasn't Filipino. Filipinos around me were offered meals. Never again!"

But she didn't see too concerned or interested in finding my phone for me. I told her to check the plane, and contact me if they found it or not....... NO reply! So I called back the day after, and again, got the run around...... Now, this second assistant I told the same thing. No communications or customer care with this airline. I worked for the airlines for 14 years, and I could check a plane for a cell phone in about 10 minutes, and get back to you... Air Asia that's like pulling hens teeth!"
