Bad business practice

ข้อดี: Car was clean, in fair condition. Fast response when I contacted them with some questions.

ข้อเสีย: Cars are given to you with a dead empty tank, and you are expected to return it empty also, which is impossible to do unless you like stopping at every gas station and putting in a couple of litres. I would imagine they then use that gas you left in it for their leisure. Car apparently had a 200km limit even though I booked unlimited, so had to argue that point home upon returning the vehicle. Also no info was given about the road tolls when I picked up the vehicle, which is kind of pertinent around Izmir.

Local agency unaware of booking

ข้อดี: The price was right, tolls were included, and the staff made an effort. The car drove well and suited our needs.

ข้อเสีย: Payless car rentals did not bother to inform the local rental agency that we had rented the car! Inexcusable, shocking fail on their part. This caused needless delay, and could easily have become a big problem. I reserved an automatic, which is not the norm in Turkey. We ended up getting very lucky that the company had 1 automatic left. Pleased to say that Payless was unable to ruin this epic part of our Turkish adventure!

ข้อเสีย: They did not have my economy car, only a Passat which they would not give to me without charging twice the amount of the reserved price. Extremely frustrating and a waste of time. Have not contacted customer service yet to inform.

ข้อดี: El precio era correcto, los peajes estaban incluidos, y el personal hizo un esfuerzo. El coche manejó bien y satisfizo nuestras necesidades.

ข้อเสีย: Los alquileres de coches sin pago no se molestaron en informar a la agencia de alquiler local de que habíamos alquilado el coche! Inexcusable, impactante fracaso por su parte. Esto causó retrasos innecesarios y fácilmente podría haberse convertido en un gran problema. Me reservé un automático, que no es la norma en Turquía. Terminamos teniendo mucha suerte de que la empresa tenía una izquierda automática. ¡Me complace decir que Payless no pudo arruinar esta épica parte de nuestra aventura turca!
