The plane was uncomfortable, the seats looked unsafe, the flight was overcrowded with many crying babies, the food was terrible. Turbulence caused the flight to take an hour longer, which was even more excruciating.
I wish it truly were Finnair instead of American: The seat, the legroom, the fact that you have to pay 20% more to have the same rotten seat 12 rows further up front, the food that's barely fit for human consumption, the presence of 20 year old cathode screens that can't be watched but do prevent the cabin being dark, etc.
The fact that I got home in one piece I really like.
Planes are old, small tv screens in aisles, older seats and headrests. I had requested Gluten Free meals and on the way to Amsterdam they did okay (besides the snacks). On the way back they didn't even offer me the second meal GF, I had to ask another flight attendant who went looking for it and found one.. so it was there, they just hadn't bothered to look for it. I also never understand why you wouldn't start boarding with the last rows? Is that just me? The aisles are always so crowded when the last rows walk in and there's always a line.
Overall I would highly recommend it. Excellent service, good food, good on board entertainment.
Flight attendants and crew in general very polite and very helpful.
Despite our delay in arriving at the airport (check in was done online in advance), the flight attendants accepted us for the trip. The whole process was extremely efficient, there was no delay in take off time and the suitcases arrived all on time to our destination. I really appreciated their help: we did have a medical emergency 3 hours prior to our arrival to the airport, hence the delay..
Everything went smoothly, I had no bad experience with this flight..
I found the crowded squashed seating very uncomfortable, , the 380 from Dubai to UK was wonderful, the relaxed atmosphere was great, more leg room, and the staff were extremely pleasant, not sure I want to fly in a 777 again terribly claustrophobic .
The KLM staff that were assigned to this flight were incompetent. After telling them I was flying with Etihad and I had a 30kg limit the told me to unpack my bag to reduce them to 23kg. I did this 3 times, and then at final weighing they figured out I was right and that I could board with 30kg. Morons!
clean. Seat covers nice and clean. furniture color scheme pleasant.
1. Seat distance by far too less.
2. seat width on the borderline of being acceptable.
3.. No entertainment, not even a flight info screen available.
4. Only instant coffee available. If it is instant, cappuccino or other café specialities should be available. Emirates and Etihad make the example.
5. Food okay - but not for french airline. No innovation, no thought in it. Standard "how do I get the cattle fed the cheapest possible" food.
6. Electrical / USB / Network plugs or WIFI unknown.
We waited in line and on the aircraft after boarding for an hour because we were waiting for flight documentation or something??? This should not happen, everyone knew when the flight was leaving and the airline should have all of this taken care of ahead of time.
For travel on an 11 hour flightnon economy,
I would expect to have water or drinks offered on that small tray about maybe once an hour at minimum. We had to ask every time we wanted water or when the meals were served they weren't served with wine or water so we had to ask for that. It got to us about 20-30 min later. The service was terrible to say the least. I realize that we were in economy and not all classes are treated equal, but some water offered or wine during a meal isn't too much to ask.
I remember back when i was a kid and my Grandmother took us to Disneyland, back when there was "Service" in the USA. If i can avoid any US carrier, and I will fly with EVA. there is meals on flight, checked bags, carry-on bags, smiles, all without extra fees, charges, and they were least expensive to fly.
As with all airlines the seats are a little tight and a bit more legroom would be nice, I am a larger man and it was still comfortable even after 18 hours of flight time.
The entertaiment was fine and the crew were polite
1,The food was bad. I was unable to eat. Simple food would have worked. I chose fish but hardly ate since it tasted bad. Additionally I am allergic to diary products and was not given a chance to express this when purchasing the ticket so I arrived in Rome extremely hungry. I ate at the airport on arrival in Rome,
2, There was no toiletries bag handed out i.e toothpaste and socks to keep us warm.
3. Was surprised that the food was on sale Brussels to Rome. Abidjan to Brussels was free food then mid flight rules changed and the food was on sale on the last leg of the flight.
bad customer service. No reliable information about the flight. How someone who never took an airplane can know that you have to get a visa when going to canada. If your ticket says your last destination is us. And i did not even got a full refund for their stupid mistake. Lack of information. You guys should be more careless for your customers.
My stay in the air was approximately about an hour from stockholm to Helsinki. They smiled me and gave comfortable service as always . Thanks
It may be not about flying process but airport environment or service. ARN airport was a bit cold even inside of the building . The WiFi was offered only limited time , which was very shorter than I expected but overall status with cosy mood made me as if I were at home . On the other hand , the finnair check in counter had only two , one of which was business and the other was economy it took about 40mins to send my luggage and check in .
