Good location, near to the public transport and a centre of Vienna.
Five stars??? Big mistake. Hotel very nice, staff friendly, good brekfast but maximum 4 stars.
I liked breakfast, having iMac in the room with extra fast internet, spa and location. It is reeeealy good place for money paid.
Absolutely brilliant staff, really polite, responsive and helpful.I was also very pleased with the room. *Poor breakfast ( almost to unexpected degree) can ruin the stay of a guest with high expectetions for a design hotel. *Bathroom does not offer/include slippers, and that creates a negative impression (pertinent to the comfort critiria) for a type of a design hotel.
It is a good hotel in a very good location. It is an old hotel but was tastefully renovated and the amenities were very good.
Outstanding staff, very good modern food and Austrian wine, very good clean room. Excellent value for money.
The beautiful view on St. Stephen's cathedral Some facilities (esp. in the bath room) are a little outdated and would need renovation.
Staff wonderful - helpful, efficient & friendly Would highly recommend Das Triest Hotel for couples/ friends
Superb staff Great garden restaurant for breakfast and lunch Excellent location
Nominal level of comfort, but absolutely sufficient. Staff polite and helpful. Breakfast with quite a rich menu. Cleaning regular and discrete.
Smallest hotel room I've ever been in. Fortunately, it was adequate for a short-term layover.
The location. Quite close to Vienna centre -25min by foot, 5min by metro. 10min walk to train station from where you can go to Vienna airport. Also the hotel is very close to Vienna internal highway so you can travel to the hotel by car and not being stuck in traffic jam. 10 EURO for the hour access to the internet and 17EURO for a day – this is very big disadvantage.
We liked how close this was tot he train statin . it was one stop on OBB from the airport and a block from the U1 to the city. Lots of construction in the area made it a little hard to get to it. but once we learned the location of the hotel we could navigate through it easily.
The location The price
The booked room wasn't a 4 star room (it was dirty, spots from old furniture remained on walls, old furniture, not plesant smell inside, selenar view on window, like a tranzit room near hotel stairs). We found the cleaning stuff and we could analyzed 3 similar standard room and all had better conditions (cleaner, more space, normal smell). We have discussed that problem with the stuff, we asked them to change the room to a similar one but, only after 2 days, we was ables to change the room (paying a difference charge) to a superior one (that was relativly ok - it could be categorized as 4 stars: cleaner, warmer, with city-view on window). The buffet breakfast could be more diversified regarding the category of hotel (4 stars).
there was only one good thing. The location near sudbahnhof station. The staff was condescending. The rooms were excruciatingly small. There was no airconditioning. The superior rooms have nothing superior about them. The windows are jammed shut and one cannot breath of claustrophobia. Horrible.
breakfast and price location
Clean, big and quiet room, very delicious breakfast , No private parking in hotel, but parking places around hotel aren't free all the time.
Location across from Vienna Hauptbahnhof. Good desk staff. Nice lobby, nice breakfast. Good air conditioning. Kayak/ Get a Room advertise "Laundry Facilities' for this hotel. On arrival you are informed that this includes only an iron. There are NO laundry facilities and the hotel description needs to get real. The desk clerk came to our rescue by identifying a Laundromat about a 15 min walk away and open till 10pm. At first she refused to make change but then relented. In general, how primitive Europe remains when it comes to self-service laundry. In Japan EVERY hotel has a couple washers & driers. Bartender also refused to provide ice. Said he had none. Sure.
Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The price was quite reasonable. The street noise late at night was very bothersome. I am a very sound sleeper and eventually I got to bed, but I could see it really being a problem for some people. My room was tiny. Again, this didn't bother me THAT much, b/c "cozy" is OK for me, but this was on the edge of that and I think some would be more bothered.
Good value for money. Nice hotel, good location.
Exceeded our expectations. Very well situated, good restaurant reasonably priced, and breakfasts were well presented with a lot of choice. It's a pity there was no air-conditioning in the room.
I liked the kindness of the service. We had breakfast and it was very good.
very friendly staff, good and nice brackfasts
the breakfast too small room, ugly furniture
Very nice atmosphere, clean and cosy rooms, good interior.
missing WiFi room network
Everything was perfect
the staff is very helpful, breakfast is rich and various, the location of the hotel is perfect: there are nearby restaurants, metro station and is very close (walking) from the shopping area and the center of Viena. the facilities only include internet and parking.
More than one would expect for the money.
central placement in the city good breakfast not being informed about the works done at the hotel
Very spacious and clean; within walking distance of major sites that we wanted to see. We could not stay longer!
Friendly staff, proper room, a PC with Internet access available for free to the guests, it is just 10 minute walking from the city centre. In a nutshell very high value for money.
Excellent breakfast with good selection. Also enjoyed having the kitchenette facilities to make own drinks/snacks.
We were in a new room and it wasn't quite finished yet. It was a suite, actually very large. Breakfast was fair, seemed somewhat disorganized. Location was ok, but not great. Very basic hotel, but alot of construction was going on, so it should improve. It was expensive, given the services and the location.
Location is very good: 10 min walk to Charles' Square. Breakfasts are good and fresh, room is small but has all necessary, including TV, safe, hair dryer, 3 towels, body and head shampoo. Bed is comfortable, cleaned every day, change of towels every day. Internet is not free of charge
The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. The rooms were not airconditioned.
large room size and cleanliness it was under construction
location of the hotel is very good, one can get anywhere very quickly by tram or bus people were smoking at entrance of the hotel
This is a great hotel with normal prices!!! I would come again in any time for shure!
The hotel is ideal as it is in a great location close to the city centre, walking distance. It also has extremely friendly and helpful staff and it is a clean and beautifully decorated hotel that serves a fantastic breakfast every day. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
all requirements were done as sson as possible with no obstacles (rising room temprerature, extra bed for our small daughter,...), possibility of garage parking, the breakfast was really excellent, the hotel was full but totally quiet I would recommned to do a barrier-free acces to elevators and dining room - we had a pram and those 10 stairs were not pleasant
The Staff were very friendly and helpful. This Hotel really tries to offer a very good service to its clients. The Hotel has been renovated but still retains its Viennes flair. We would have loved to stay longer. Room was very clean and neat, the bathroom was quite modern and clean. We wold recommendthis Hotel to anyone who is looking to explore Vienna without beeing in a noisy street. The Hotel is 10minutes walk to the Karntnerstrasse (old town centre) and on a very quiet location. We will go back there.
The kind staff, the excellent breakfast, the clean and tasteful room, the location. The pillows.
A great experience from start to finish. One of the best city hotels I have ever stayed in and would recommend it fully.
Very comfortable hotel, excellent breakfast buffet, helpful staff and a nicely situated hotel for exploring the city.
This hotel was first class, staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had all the required facilities expected these days, tv, internet, tea/coffe making and very comforable beds. Buffet breakfast was excellent.Located in a quiet street and ideal for city centre, underground, trams. Would recommend this hotel to others. No complains what so ever
Good location, close to Karlplatz. Excellent Buffet Breatfast. The single room had nice decor, which faced onto a quiet street.
very frently employies, excelent brekfast, aircondition which did save our lives in the very hot week in Vienna, we felt like home there was no english programs apart the CNN chanel, for the people does not speak German is dificult for the hours they stay in the room
Staff very friendly and extremely helpfull ..... kitchen / cleaners / bar / reception / porter all very keen to go the extra distancet and to ensure an enjoyable stay. nothing to much trouble I would like to see a tea/coffe making facility in the room rather than havfe to go and make/fetch it at the bar
good services, nice staff, really close to metro, good location poor wifi!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good location - about 10 minutes walking distance to the center. Stuff was very friendly and helpful - half of hotels value. Breakfest moderate, but this hotel after long time was the first in which cold champagne was served during breakfast:) Street noise. The room coud be larger. Located on the 1st floor the room had tiny windows with gridirons which caused uneasy feeling.
The WI-FI in the room was weak and unstable
The location of the hotel was excellent, could easily walk to most sights in the city center. The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a large variety of food.
Personal very good and sympatic: Very comfortable nothing
Excellent location, big rooms, very kind hotel stuff, clean, good value for money!!!
Excellent breakfast and dining room, very very very very friendly staff. Power outlet was far from the bed or "hidden" behind TV or furniture. Difficult to use a laptop like this.
Location, subway is 30m from hotel. Rooms are old. There are many type of rooms, and there are not the same like they have shown at the internet.
The staff is amazing. We were engaged in Vienna, and Mrs. Shermin sent us away with a bottle of bubbly. Also, she kindly held our luggage (we took the night train so we had to find somewhere to put it during the day), and breakfast was included in the price. Everyone was helpful with directions and suggestions. We went around Easter, and the markets in Vienna are not to be missed around this time.
The staff is wonderful! George met us at the door with a huge welcome. Sonia, Stephanie, George, and the owners were just fabulous. Loved them. They made us feel so much at home. It was great. We thought that we were going to be in an apartment. We obviously didn't reserve the right thing online, but I think that it should be a little clearer about the difference.
No much 1St the there are long steps and no lift/elevator. The so called free parking was street parking if you could find a spot the owner even told me that it took 2 hours the day ebfore for her husband to find a parking spot. The owner was rude and not very helpful.....I Would never recommend staying here to anyone.
Attractive C18 building, airy clean room, very comfortable bed, extremely nice staff, great location, amazingly quiet rooms due to thick walls and hi-tech windows. breakfast room is cramped and breakfast is nothing special. Extra-cost wi-fi could not be received in our room (thick walls I guess).
kind staff, clean and big room with seating area, good location
Stayed here for the first time while in Vienna for a conference at the Austria Centre. Great location since it's just a short walk from Karlsplatz and on the same line as the centre. The accomodation is basic but my room was as large as I've had in Vienna and clean. Staff were really friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was also more than fine.
good location, very friendly staff
friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent location in Vienna. good breakfast (included!). Reasonable towel policy. A place I will go back to
Apartment good option after hotels. Washing machine a bonus. Location OK but had to use underground to get to tourist locations
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was near the "ring" of the city and near a metro stop. Although clean, the general look was less than inviting. The entry halls to the rooms badly needed painting and the carpets on the floors of the rooms were very old and faded. By the way, we thought we had rented one of the apartments, but found ourselves in one of the hotel rooms. Based on the appearance of their website, we thought all their units were apartments.
it was near the center close to belveder palace ,was very clean ,the staff helps us for all our question, there was't kitchen;no possibility to electric kettle
Nice, spacious room with a nice balcony Missing water boiler, coffee and tea
hotel personnel was nice, average design hotel. we got free upgrade to better room. definitely not a 5 star hotel, there was no staff for parking the car, taking the luggages to the room. breakfast is average 4 star quality, wine list is kind of short. room did not feel cosy at all.
Excellent modern apartment hotel, ideal for business travellers on a short or medium stay. Good location near to city centre. Fully recommended
Location of the hotel in addition the friendly staff In your site is mentioned that the use of the mini bar is free, but this is only for the first time and after Refuel it any use will be added the value of the beverages for the final bill
The Attache suit was incredibly quiet, large, spotless clean, the design is wery nice, wery confortable beds. Garage in the basement! This was our second stay in Pakat suites and we will come again. Some minor points: Perhaps a little far from the centre, but the tram is not far away. It takes 4 stops to the Opera. No tee/coffee machine.
The advantage of this hotel is the very very helpful receptionists, the cosy rooms, the cleanliness of them and its location that allows you to go for sightseeing and shopping in a few minutes.
Very comfortable and spaceous room at a reasonable price. Great bed and quiet. Short walk to public transportation. No wireless WIFI.
Nice, clean, friendly staff.
Towels are used up; of yellowish coulour and seem as not to be clean at all
breakfast was well worth the price. no tea/coffee facilities in the room - a failing in a lot of european hotels unfortunately
I did not like anything - the reception was not polite at all. They charged us for business plus double but we god business double - connecting room - be careful if choosing this hotel as you may end up listening other people in the night instead of having a good night sleep.e Be aware of the rooms - they are very small. The staff is not polite at all - they even tried to give me the wrong room - they succeeded for one night but the next after a while they gave me the right room and offered to give 5 eur back - while the difference is 20 eur.
No air conditioning
The room was a bit more spacious than Ibis and ETap hotels. The included hair dyer in the bathroom was a plus. We would have loved to have had a coffee/tea maker in our room but none was provided. Also, there were no English -language TV channels, such as CNN, BBC, or 24.
Location, friendly staff, clean rooms, close to u-bahn
2-3 min walk to the metro. extremely noisy bathroom ventilation, heavy air in the room despite new furniture, easy access by metro but the area itself is not particularly a nice one.
Good location, 50m from metro station (line 1). Clean, warm and comfortable room. Reliable internet access (wifi, ethernet). Very helpful and beautiful lamp/map. Expensive breakfast (15 Euro). Some of the reception staff were not so helpful. Lack of soundproof between rooms.
Our room was very quiet and extremely clean. Wifi was free and never had any problems with it. Breakfast was wonderful and atmosphere was very relaxed with friendly staff. Location was 1/2 a block from the subway which was so convenient for taking the U1 straight to the downtown attractions. St. Stephen's Cathedral is a must visit!!! Nothing!
It does not have a bar on the hotel premises.
The staff were so helpful to me in learning how to navigate the city. The onsite parking facilities were convenient, the breakfast was good, and the location for sight-seeing was perfect.
friendly staff, big clean room...
brand new spacious room furbished with taste, very comfortable beds
Every staff was so friendly and was ready to help. They were very knowledgeable of the city. The hotel is so close to the wonderful market and the central city of Vienna. Free breakfast is a plus, too. Nothing.
The location of the hotel, it was next to a eastern "dinner" market The hotel offered two bickes In nearly every room the hotel provides two single beds instead of a two person bed. In order to aquire a double bed we should have requisted it allong with the booking.
It's a very nice hotel, with an extraordinary location. The staff is also very friendly. The living conditions are good, and I'll come back here anytime
I think it was a little oldier and no modern facilities for a Vienna's central hotel.
I liked very much
Conviniet disposition, good price quality level, clean and nice. Close to the city center, just 10 minitus by walking.
The hotel is situated near the center of the city, however, it was cheap. No, there wasn't.
Staff was very helpful regards Parking and checking in. Very flexibe because we only checked in around midnight, although arrived earlier. Breakfast had a good choice and Location is great, just 10mins. into the City Center.
Extremely nice and helpful staff at the reception. The location is perfect.
Nice clean place. Very attractive price for a room within only 10min walk from Karlsplatz and 5min walk from Belvedere.
Breakfast, location For Four days every use of the lavatory hot (boiling) Water was flushing the toilet ... promissed to be fixed, but wasn't!? Imagine the smell in the bathroom!!! Room 22.
no cot or high chair available for baby shower room was very smelly
We liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Only one slight thing, according to advertisement there was supposed to be a sitting area in the room but there was just one chair at a writing desk( which I might say was excellent) in a twin room.
The aircon in the foyer. The staff. The rooms were comfortable. The quiet street outside the hotel. Lack of aircon during 'hitzewelle'
the view fro the 5th floor, the neighbourhood, the friendly receptionists
friendly helpful staff and good location leaking faucets and broken toilet flush button
It is well located, in a quiet street, near the embassies and the beautiful Belvedere and Karl Platz. It was overheated. We turned all the radiators off and tried to lower temperature with the air conditioning system but this didn't work.
The staff were kind and pleasent.
The hotel is in a quiet area at a walking distance from downtown
free wireless internet access from room - room gets really hot - no variation in breakfast
It is a nice building with a cute entrance and o wonderful elevator in Jugenstil. We had a very big room (king size) with nice decoration; harmonic with the building but not heavy. The room was quiet from inside and outside. There was a boiler for coffee and tea. The WC was separate from the bathroom and very small (two different doors). There were traces of dried urine under the toilet seat, and the whole WC had a slight smell of urine! You can’t adjust the temperature of the room, and sometimes in the night it was a bit cold. The beautiful wooden floor needed repair; it had holes and a few boards were shaking. The wooden window frames were rotten, and also needed repair or replace. The staff was very typical for my taste.
Good location: easy walking distance to city centre. If you can get on-street parking (not impossible) then they will give you an 8 euro per day parking permit rather than the 18 euro garage down the street. Rooms in the Suites annex were very large, including kitchen. I was placed in the Suites annex and the wifi internet reception was so poor as to be unusable. I had to walk back to the main building (a minute or so) and stay there to get reception.
It was very close to the city center and the price was good for an apartment that housed 3 adults and 1 child. I felt the car parking was a little expensive.
good location Room to hot, even in November!- airconditioning not working.
the location was good.and the coffie with the breakfast was excellent> Was freezing cold in our room.they seem to controle the heating from the reception.and the staff were not very friendly.
Breakfast - Excellent, helpful staff, great location for sightseeing, room just as described. I was very satisfied. Nope :)
quiet street, clean hotel
No fuss, great location Tiny room and bed but I went for the economy and it was the cheapest in town. Great for the money.
Nice place No
The price was attractive. The hotel is in a dirty area with lots of graffitti on the buildings and a sex peep-show on the corner of the block. We did not want to stay in this type of atmosphere.
I like the breakfast. And the location is very centern. Blankett and the pillow was uncomfortable.
Great location and great breakfast
Very close to U-bahn and train station. Good price compared to other hotels There was traffic noise but it was not too bad on the 5th floor. The single room was very small, very large people may want to book a double room.
size of room, breakfast cleanliness of bathroom ( shower was broken) missing remote control for TV
The hotel is good located, very close to the Subway station and few stations away from the city center, helping also if you travell by train. Nice decoration in the room, good breakfast. The luggage room was unattended. Also the sink was a little plugged but no serious problem with it.
Clean room @ good breakfast
Very nice hotel staff and excellent location
Price and location No local facilities (bars, restaurants etc. that staff could recommend)
I have liked the quick check-in, clean room and proximity to the metro station. It was what I needed for just a one night stay - close both to the airport (one should change train just once to get there) and to the centre of Vienna (two metro stops to Staatsoper). All was good.
Accessability of trains. The price was within our budget. The staff were all very friendly. The room was very small and there was not a rail for the towels. The shower did not have a holder for the soap or sjampoo. The internet service was supplied, but I had to go and work in the lobby.
It was a lovely hotel with very warm friendly staff. Most enjoyable The antique bed was incredibly squeaky.
Staff were excellent, they were very helpful in giving direction to various places. Also, very helpful with booking taxis. The tea dock in the foyer was a very nice touch to your hospitality. Breakfast was excellent, really set us up for the day. My colleagues loved the punch. I would certainly recommend the hotel to any of my friends who will be travelling to Vienna One of the beds in the room was not a proper bed, it was an opened out couch and not so comfortable.
Very nice hotel within walking distance o the old-town Vienna (Wien) and subway system. Hotel staff were very helpful in providing suggestions for nearby restaurants, what to see, and arranging for transportation to the airport (at a very early hour). The room was clean and comfortable - the view from our room was terrific. The lobby had coffee/tea available throughout the day along with a very tasty cake. The breakfast buffet was well done with plenty of choices. Since the hotel was booked through Kayak.com, the hotel staff was not able to change the way the method of billing. I wanted to use my excess Euros to pay for part of the bill (to avoid the currency exchange fees), and pay the remainder on a credit card. I also wanted a paper receipt for my stay, but that was not provided either. Overall, minor issues.
I liked the atmosphere - high sealings, quiet. The breakfast was delicious, they could improve the quality of coffee.
I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was excellent, and the localization was great.
The location of the hotel is good, close to both tram and metro station and within walking distance of the city center of Vienna. Staff is friendly and they serve an excellent breakfast with good variety. The room was a bit below standard. The beds were not so comfortable as the mattresses were not very solid. The shower head also needed replacement, the water sprayed in all directions.
Location Weak Internet signal (Wi-Fi)
We left for the airport at 4:30 . They cheerfully provided an excellent breakfast before we left,
value for money
Close to center of Vienna A lot of noise from the road. Bed: very hard.
It was clean and convenient for the city centre, just a few stops on the tram. The breakfast was quite good although it could have had more fruit. It was more of a business hotel than I had imagined and the room was a little small.
location room in street site is too nosiy, hardly to fall asleep
he pesonal did not want to speak English, they are not very helpful
All was ok for a normal standard hotel I was awakened at 9.30 on Saturday morning due to renovation work using a power- drill on the wall of my room. I complained and since there was no other room possible i was not even offered an apology. The drilling continued until 12.00 at least that morning .This I consider unacceptable.
It was very clean, the staff friendly and it is very good located. When remodeling, klease keep the old style of the rooms!!!
Breakfast was ok. But the hotel doesn't deserve being 4 stars.
The hotel was very pleasant. The internet in the lobby was free. The breakfast was excellent (and included in the price.) The room, though nice, was small..
I would not class the hotel as a 4 star as stated.
People are very friendly and the services are very good. The room is big, clean and nice.:)
The hotel is basic. Simple, clean and on a good location.
Staff very helpful. This hotel has all you need for a short stay in Vienna. Room too hot.
the location is excellent, the morning buffet was excellent and the staff too the bed was very comfortable for European budget hotel standards the room was hot as it was very warm in Vienna...airconditioning would have been a nicer experience and better value..the room floor was not too clean there were spots and scuff marks on it.
close to the center of Vienna and the main subway station, room and services correct bad insulation between the rooms, I could hear my neighbour speak
Good price, Great Breakfast. Location was a bit odd, but close to the metro in the end. Great area with cool antique and second hand shops. Friendly super helpful staff! Wish the curtains were darker. Didn't block out enough light. Had to check in after 3pm.
NO A/C, and in this very hot summer......
Simple, clean, LAN internet inside room, great breakfast
the wired internet connection doesn't work in the room! you can use only the wireless internet in the lobby.
Breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpfull. The room was very boring and had no "charm". Empty bookcasings, vinyl-floor, white walls ect.
It was very close to the metro and bus lines, so it was easy to get to the hotel or to the sights
