Very good concierge service. Good location. Very poor internet service, extremely slow. Receptions Staff were robotic, no smiles or friendly conversation, would only scripted responses.Twice were given rooms already occupied and twice were locked out of our room - Staff response - that is the way it is: this gives rise to room security.
Proximity to the airport train and St Stephan's Lack of dedicated information desk and tourist information
Location was fabulous for several reasons. Right across the street from CAT train to airport. Can check bags there. Walkable to everywhere: Museums, Spanish Riding School, winter palaces, St Stephen's Cathedral even Belvedere. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Concierge helpful. nothing
Everything, I am going back on september 21st for 2 more nights. I would desperately like to stay there 3 additional nights the 18th,19th and 20th. Absolutely nothing
Everyting was great Internet was expensive
Internet service should be free like most other hotels I stay at. Even 3 star hotels I stayed at provided it for free. Or at least it should be cheaper. Never stayed in a hotel that charges any TV channels you watch, even regular TV, not just special hotel channels.
excellent hotel great location friendly staff food excellent will be back
Location of the hotel, near the CAT station. Convenient to center etc. Staff in reception very serviceminded. Internet should be included in price. Big minus for extra charge of internet! Twin bed - would have prefered double!!
Room was upgraded due to my hotel membership status. The space in front of reception is not enough as hotel capacity. The time I checked in, so crowded due to some conferences.
closeness to the city airport train and town centre. cheerful room and a helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
The best thing is that the hotel is just across the street from the Train to the airport. No need for a Taxi from the airport or inside the city. The hotel is near the old city and one can walk everywhere.
The concierge service was very cooperative from the moment I made the booking. The front desk was equally efficient.
nice bed pay for internet, no swimmingpool
Staff was helpful. Big welcoming lobby. Very small rooms, and they need to be renovated. Old furniture, the bathroom was tiny.
The staff was very helpful, the bar excellent and the food unsurpassed both for quality and value. Beds were good and location the best.
Hard to pick up something I liked, maybe the LCD in the room or the location. Total mess in invoicing+guarantee made by a trainee at the beginning : fully paid accomodation + one person breakfast, I was retained for full guarantee accomodation + 2 persons breakfasts !!! thus waisting my credit card allowance. Plus that the final verification invoice was including another significant balance - another trainee ! - everything was finally cleared (that is I hope, at least !) by the manager in line, Cornelia. Thanks, Cornelia. So, be aware of front line trainees at Intercontinental Vienna !
They have relatively small rooms. The amenities are good but the staff is not very friendly or helpfull. They are rather stuck up and obnoxious. The concierge is manned by the back office and sometimes it takes them a while to arrive. They are not in possession of a lot of information they should have at their fingertips. The breakfast is wonderful. Large selection etc. Had dinner there also but the selection is poor expensive and portions are small. See above
The room was great, and we got a free upgrade to an executive room.
design and cleanliness of my room nope
The hotel was very well presented, quiet and good value for money, especially the Executive room we stayed in.
The hotel is elegant and it has a soul! The suite was excellent and the service was perfect.exelent. The heating in our suite was poor!! In the morning it was cold so we couldnt really enjoy our stay.
I would point on pictures with flowers. That's nice style.
Staff was very helpful. Room was well kept and clean. Location was good was able to walk to Opera house, visiting Belvedere Palace which was near and proximity to train station was very appealing. Not much
The rooms are very comfortable. Breakfast was very crowded and noisy with a very big group of far eastern visitors
Central location near the city centre. Not full availability of services.
very kind staff, motto "Your smile is our job" Very bad covering of mobile phone operateur, few places in hotel have very poor signal.
I only have nice things to say about this hotel. The room was beautifully decorated, spotless, and quite spacious (hotel has a sort of 60's modern retro vibe going--very stylish). My room looked out towards the Belvedere Palace. The people at the reception desk were very nice and efficient. The breakfast included with the room was excellent with all of the expected food items and more (hot and cold offerings). The only problem you might have is getting to the hotel if you're arriving via the subway. It's a good 15 minute walk from the nearest station (Karlsplatz or Rochuspark). This can be mitigated if you know how to navigate the street cars since they run by the hotel.
Newly renovated; large spaces; nice bar; calm and quiet
Spacious room and bath room, very clean and well serviced each day. Beds very comfortable. Very little street noise, good sound insulation. Location within 15mins walk to city centre. Did not have breakfast in hotel, used cafes/coffee bars very close by. Reception staff friendly and helpfull.
Very clean, staff were very helpful, and the hotel is in a great location.
Good location for my needs. But there is not much reharding what I liked best. It fulfilled its purpose which was business travel.
Location No parking provided, no transport to the airport, you have to pay for it, no information provided regarding this. Also you have to pay for taxes not included in the fare. The bed is two joined beds, very uncomfortable.Breakfast not included.
Everthing was good. Especially Hakan from the reception is a great guy and was very helpful. The breakfast was way too expensive according to what is served.
location complete lack of service; message left for us on Sunday morning (phone number) was not delivered (check outo n Monday morning); when asked about this, the Reception staff stated that they were not on duty the pervious day (?!?!)
I don't have any complaint about my stay - the room was huge and very clean. The staff was always helpful. I didn't like the fact that wireless internet was promoted to be free and available in the rooms and it was actually only free at the lobby area...
Great location in the center of Vienna. Nice clean room and a very good breakfast included in the package. The final price for the room was much higher than I expected. The advertised room rates should include taxes (which are substantial).
The location of the hotel is perfect as you can reach almost everything in short time. The staff did the service in a pleasant manner and with good attitude. All the time we felt like being at home. We cannot recall anything that we did not like...
comfort, staff, breakfast, location
huge room, very nice location is a bit far
great huge room, good price, wellness included
Nice place, well located No bathroom door! Even in a suite with 3 beds. What a horrid design! Inappropriate for older children or anything but couples.
It was close to the tram and train stations, and you could move easily everywhere. The room was good size. The room was never clean, they only did the bed. They didn't clean anything else. They take all the money upfront as a deposit.
good location, nice atmosphere extra charge for the WIFI, extra chrge for the garage, wrong photo of the room on the website attached to the price
Location was great. Walking distance from the train station where S-bahn running from the airport stops. Also only 2-3 tram stops from the Old town. You could also walk instead of taking the tram. 15 minutes of walking will get you to most of the sightseeing places. Rooms were modern and nice, so were the sauna and the fitness center. Overall, apart from couple of small issues i will mention below, I can definitely recommend this hotel. absolute value for money. They put a block on my credit card for 750 euros while my total cost stay would be around 470 and I specifically mentioned when I was checking in that I would be paying in cash while checking out. They should have warned about this in advance because I've done quite a bit of shopping in Vienna but couldnt buy some of the things I intended to because my credit card limit was full due to the 750 euros block. Room service could be better as how they cleaned the room was a bit below standards compared to similar price level hotels that I've stayed around Europe before. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt spotless either. Pillows on the bed were uncomfortable and there were only a some English channels on TV--and they were all news channels--not enough
The Hotel is new, very stylish, with modern decoration, exactly how we like. The Breakfast is expensive, but excellent. Easy access to Garage. The Toiletries. We did not get any Shampoo the 1st night, got 1 Shampoo the 2nd night, no lotion the 2nd night, and we had to ask for Toilet paper and our Body soap was over.
Modern design, clean rooms, good food...and a surprise: it happened to be my birthday during my staying so the hotel wished Happy Birthday to me through a nice letter and a delicious cake :-)
very quiet rooms very little sun light in the extra sitting area
Location to Metro and cbd
room furniture and size no one help with laggage
The Check-in staff were very polite, helpful and efficient. The hotel was immaculately clean and breakfasts were a delight. My room had everything I needed and was of a high standard at a reasonable cost.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Bar was expensive but nice. Room we ordered wasn't given on arrival & when we complained that we had 2 single beds for a romantic weekend it was sorry but tough. Also the specification said seperate bath & shower - not true, staff were very reserved and bar staff hard to find. Wine excepionally expensive. No shuttle bus to airport like most hotels offer, no info given freely had to prise it out of staff. Hotel a bit far to walk to main markets/city center. no coffee machine or bathrobes unless requested.
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel as had expected a lot less less for the price! It was nicely tucked away from the main centre of Vienna yet only 15-20 minutes pleasant walk. The atmosphere was welcoming and our room was a great size, well decorated, clean (and with some of the most comfortable beds we have experienced in a hotel)!
I booked on the basis of special rates offered, plus comments from other reviewers which were mostly very good. The Club package was excellent with a junior suite for my 2 + 2 family (extra bed was no charge), access to Club lounge with free breakfast, evening snacks (good as dinner) and drinks was perfect. Great value, plus easy tram access to centre which was still walkable
Complementary lounge, good size room, comfortable large bed
We upgraded to an Imperial Club room - access to the lounge and the room itself were the best parts Initial room was very much not of 4 or 5 star standard - very old/dated and felt dirty
The hotel rooms are very nice and are a good size. There was a nice outside sitting area and they had piano music in the lobby two of the nights we were there. My children especially enjoyed the indoor pool. The hotel was a good 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist areas. It wasn't a big problem but it would have been nicer to be a bit closer to the center.
Staff were pleasant and helpful without exception. Hotel and our room were pleasant to return to after a long day out. Facilities of executive lounge were excellent. Swimming pool open from early morning until very late evening - an excellent facility.
Nice, friendly, stylish atmosphere, close to city center and sight seeing. Nice room. Good breakfast (on the expensive side in comparison with other similar hotels in Vienna). We went to the sauna. This was somewhat shocking. Not only was it very small for the price of 7 Euro asked but the showers were completely open, in front a couple of men were sitting watching the women in the shower. Also, in the very narrow sauna cabin there were local men disputing loudly about whatsoever. Nothing of a true sauna atmosphere and leaving a very bad feeling, if for this the hotel asks extra fee. You need to do something about this because this is in complete contrast to the high quality the hotel offers otherwise.
Our stay was amazing. We thouroughly enjoyed the VIP lounge and the food. The location was just outside the main town and was within close walking distance to everything and the public transportation was right near the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. The bathroom was a little outdated and not as nice as the rest of the room and hotel. The toilet had a smell and didn't flush properly.
Friendly staff. Business room was rather big and comfortable, even though a bit old-fashioned. Free access to internet and Business Lounge with snacks all day long.
the room is small but the huge Klimt painting reproduced above the bed makes the room very cosy the breakfast buffet was not 4 stars standard
I liked the location, 10 min walk from the city center. The bathroom was quite dirty.
Very friendly staff. Helpful information provided. Excellent location and value. Bathroom had mold on tiles--needs upgrading.
Nice and friendly staff. For some reason they use an artificial air-fresh system. No idea why since it is not nice. Please be aware if your booking is including breakfast. If not the breakfast is widely overpriced.
I enjoyed service the most and appreciated hospitality of Mr.Milan very much I have no any complaints.
friendly and efficient stuff. facility. location (in front of the Konzerthaus!) wireless internet service did not work. I saw customers queuing the reception, trying to know why...
good central location rooms need modernizing, air-co not potent enough for hot weather
Staff is very friendly and helpful thus compensating for the general poor condition of this sofitel hotel. The hotel does not have the usual sofitel standard. It would need a complete make-over.
Excellent stay - this time just for a single night :-(
A nice room, quite small though. Complimentary mineral water and shower gel / shampoon refilled every day. Very convenient location, withing walking distance to the main center. Confusing services, everything was charged extra and was very expensive (internet 8 Eur / hour!!!!, breakfast 19 Eur,...). It is a 4* hotel and not the cheapest one, and also because of these extra charges we did not feel as welcomed there as we would expect.
I made a mistake and did wrong date reservation. They were very helpfull in the reception and finally I got three rooms! It was very pleasure stay n the Hotel am Konzerthaus and we want be back soon... We did not get superior rooms as was booked.
On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and attentive. We looked for a spacious room as my husband has a disability and needs extra space to get around on his walking frame. The room provided was really good. Staff in the bar and restaurant were also very attentive. We liked having tea/coffee making facilities in the room. On the basis of our experience, we will definately return.
The great urban ambience, the beds are very comfortable, the friendliness of the staff and the good food.
Friendly staff, loved the quirky decor both in our room and the public spaces.Restaurant was quite good for casual dining. Not a thing!
While the hotel was not in the center of the tourist sites, it was great to be in another part of Vienna and experience an urban themed hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and upbeat experience.
location, staff amiability, quality-price ratio.
Public transport is nearby, hotel very clean Asked for a wake up call, all I got was a sorry a couple of hours later
Nice people. Beautiful, new, clean rooms. Great location in the third district for shopping, restaurants, proximity to City Airport Train (CAT) and other rail and bus transporation. Excellent breakfast buffet. No literature in the room about the hotel. For example, how to make an outside call, cost for calls, no instruction on use of safe, etc. Had an issues with shower draining properly and staff did not react to my requests. Was not a considerable issue, but it should have been fixed.
Comfortable beds, nice windows and view. Drain in shower was clogged and water did not go down. Could not take showers. Called front desk. Never came to fix problem. Also, cot was not comfortable.
drilling the walls, lacking of ash-can & toilet-brush in the room
Very nice room, furniture etc, the bathroom was great. Excellent value for money Wouldn't take much to improve breakfast to a four star standard. Just a little lacking in quality and choice.
The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was also good and the restaurant comfortable. The staff is mostly Spanish speaking, which made it difficult to communicate;however they were friendly and helpful...
breakfast, cleanliness... comfortable beds, very nice staff and very well informed there wasn't any dustbin in the bathroom
Thelocation, rlatively close to the City N/A
The Location No Hotwater at 7.30 one morning and not able to get adrink in the bar at 22.30 due to bar closing early. Some confusion as to whether payment was taken twicwpe.Still Checking
Easy access from Vienna airport; convenient and nice location and rooms
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious and clean. I was unhappy that there was not wireless access in the rooms, only in the lobby.
Cosy and quality of room and breakfast
Great location close to City Airport Train Inflexibility of some of the staff
Location to Ubahn, ease of access bed was a bit small
It's central in the city and quiet at the same time
Location was good - very quiet and close to the Underground with a relatively easy walk to the city centre Some minor room maintenance issues with the room.
Almost, every thing... staff, parking, breakfast, resturant, rooms, suites, location .... every thing
The hotel entrance is located down an adorable little cobblestoned alleyway in Vienna off a major street, making it easy to access but quiet. The rooms were immaculately clean, decorated in a traditional but updated style, with a romantic ambiance. The breakfast buffet available was excellent and a good value. I found nothing to dislike about this hotel! Courteous staff, excellent comfortable rooms, good breakfast and facilities!
Very convinient location, very close to U3 Rochugasse Station, from the Airport by CAT, one station from Wien Mitte, three station to Stephanspl. nice & clean sauna area, good breakfast, good friendly stuff.
It has a great location, being close to the City Center, nevertheless, it has an easy access by all transport means. Difficultry to find the hotel garage & parking the car.
Location at the very center, two large rooms' apartment, kitchen corner with microwave, cleanness, although hotel was fully booked during my stay i didn't hear any noises neither from the neighbors nor the street, and buffet breakfast was delicious. Especially I would like to mention the most helpful, polite, attentive and efficient staff at he reception. Really enjoyed my stay there. furniture in the living room especially this blue leather couch a bit out of date and cheep looking (but that's really nothing comparing to all the good things there)
Very comfortable rooms; cleanliness of the hotel. Friendly staff. The shower was not very comfortable to use because of low slanted ceiling (the suite was on the roof level), and me being 6'2 in height.:) The included breakfast was a let down. Only thing you could have was juices and bread with butter or jam. You had to pay for the buffet breakfast if you wanted more. There was a very good kiosk right outside the stadtpark subway station selling very tasty hot dogs, which we used more than once.
Very good location, just few speps from Stadtpark U-bahn station and 10-15 minutes from Opera by walk. Very friendly staff at reception. Big rooms with aircondition and mini kitchen. Spar supermarket is next to the hotel.
We liked spacious room with very high ceiling. Although it is facing busy road, the noise proof of windows were excellent. n/a
big suite dry air
Very large and comfortable rooms I have been here in the hotel 4 times before. All times before the staff has asked if I prefer continental breakfast or buffet(the different price between them). Last time maximum price has been included into the bill without asking
Location is great, as you can reach city centre by feet in a few minutes. I would advice the hotel to improve main entrance exterior appearance. Sorry, but it looks shabby in comparison with other four star hotels.
Perfect-large Room. Near the Underground Station. Very nice neighborhood The Continental breakfast included is rather poor. The optional buffet is satisfactory
Very quite and close to downtown I have got just 1 bottle of mineral water from room fridge but only at home checking my invoice I have seen they have charged me 2 bottles. (My fault don't check before paying)
Just perfect Nothing
it has really fast internet, cables are really long to cover all the room, the cheapest minibar i've ever met in other hotels!! swimming pool outside is real advantage in summer time!! breakfast is rather poor but has all essentials, anyway will stay there more concidering the price..
I truly enjoyed staying in Vienna Sporthotel. I highly appreciated the comfort and price. The location of the hotel is also satisfactory as the hotel is located in vicinity of U3 metro. The hotel is not only for sport-oriented people but can easily serve also as the business-class hotel. I also very much liked large bed (in single room). The hotel itself is fine but its position is little out of city centre.
That you offered massage, fitness, tanning. Good food. Maybe in all of the fitness area(tanning, sauna, ect.) you offered signs in other languages(english) so it would be easier to use more of the facilities.
Great hotel, value for money, solarium, tennis courts, golf. all great Location
Very quite location, with very easy acces to the city center.Very clean and comfortable design ( we had a junior suite) .
The rooms are very nice, large and comfortable and clean,so is the bathroom. The breakfast was ok,not that many options but had all the essentials. The internet in the room had very good speed. The parking garage is also near but you can leave your car across the street and it is free. The hotel is very close from the motoway and 5 min to a metro station and from there you can go into the center of Vienna very easy. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. It would have helped to have some instuctions in English at the sauna, for example so that you can use it more easily.
Very nice room The air conditioning was not working in the entire hotel I had to move to another hotel at last minute because too warm in room to sleep In room still smell of fresh paint , hotel not yet finished should be good in the future
Clean. Hard to see in the dark halls.
The staff at reception had good English. The reception was open 24 hours. Hotel is right in front of a train line so if you're a light sleeper, you'll wake up early
Place - website didnot inform about the terrible noise caused by S-bahn trains which leav the tunnel directly in front of the hotel. And I also think that there should be no smokig allowed during breakfest time and that this shloud also apply to the hotel´s stuff
Very clean It is next to an S-bahn station. It make a very loud noise so we couldn't sleep very well. I am not sure why is it 3 star.
Hotel has an excellent location if you will use the city train for the airport especially if Vienna is a stopover for you. Its got everything you need for a short stay.
the large bathroom with spa-like tub
good location, 3 min walking to City Airport Train, fair price
good location, reasonable price, near the train station only cross the road, close to city center just 15 minutes to go on foot to the Stephanplaz, friendly staff I shocked when I get in the room, too small room with too high ceiling I feel it like a jail, the TV mounted in 3 meter height on the wall, the bathroom so small if your weight more than 90Kg you will face problem to utilize the bathroom. No A/C, Room too noisy from trains at day and night, The carpet in my "non-smoking" smelled too bad of stale tobacco smoke, No restaurant, only a bit sparse breakfast in too small place
excellent location only few minutes from the centre, very nice personnel.
The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was good with shops and train nearby.
The staff speak not bad English and are helpful to provide travelling information. Use of USB disk transferring/storing files is not available in their computer. Poor breakfast. No TV in the room
The proximity to the tram for the sights and train station, also the market and pharmacy. The Penny market chocolate bars are cheap and excellent. Great breakfasts, quiet and clean. Elevator handy if you have luggage. I am probably the only one who got confused about the locks and how to unlock them.
Homey. Atmosheric. A little bit shabby.
Hotel Pension Bosch was charming, clean, homey, and welcoming. The mother and daughter who manage it were very hospitable. They went out of their way to help us with transportation and also accommodated my partner's dietary restrictions (he is vegan).
Clean, appeared new, well maintained, very good location, quiet, lots of space, felt more like living there than passing through.
Beautiful room, very quiet. Immaculate, great kitchen.
the space and comfort of the rooms the Elevator
Lots of space and tastefully decorated, provides an opportunity to live like a local. The kitchen did not have a microwave or a toaster or coffee maker (other than a kettle). The apartments are not intended to be tourist accommodation and required the signing of a formal lease. If relying on public transport, be aware that at least two different trains/trams/buses will be required to reach most tourist spots that aren't in the centre of the city.
We stayed with a 4-year-old and were very comfortable - enough room for everyone. The room was spotless and the beds were so cozy - we all slept beautifully (unusual for a hotel). 5-minute walk to the U-Bahn, and we ate at a different restaurant, bakery or cafe nearby every day & night for 8 days - the selection was excellent. Two grocery stores in 5 minute walk. It felt like living in the city rather than visiting. The proprietor was extremely solicitous and made sure we were happy. Just know that while booking.com lists the Double Executive as "1 Double, 1 Single Room" there are actually Double Executives with only 1 Double room. If you are expecting that there will be 2 bedrooms, as we needed when staying with a child, you should let the proprietor know in your booking to avoid misunderstanding. We were able to change and the proprietor was very helpful, but it was upsetting at first after a long exhausting flight.
I advised all family men to this hotel. Their motto is feel home, really you will feel home and comfort.
The WIFI connection was mainly unreachable - No wired Internet connection Parking fee - I did know about it in advance.
Newly refurbished - great location
Large apartment with all comforts. Perfect arrangement for arrival when the reception is closed. Apartments on the top floor can be warm with on hot summerdays
Very quiet place (in a courtyard). Non-touristic, but very clean and safe neighborhood (women walking alone at night, sometimes with young children). Close to subway station (5 minutes walking) and to the center of the city (4 subway stations). Large appartment. Market is two minutes walking from the appartment. A coffee machine is centraly located. The taste is so so. I would have prefered one in the appartment.
The discretion It was all good
location: the hotel is easy to reach by bus and subway, proximity of center of Vienna, and it`s quite cheap the noise going from the road, disturbing sleep
close to St. Marx railway station, so very easy to go airport via train S7; bus station is also nearby, so easy to go metro station etc. via A74 bus
good location, easy reach from the airport and public transportation, excellent breakfast no internet access in the rooms, although the information said otherwise.
Very nice and friendly. Breakfast in buffet is perfect.
very good breakfast buffet a bit dated rooms facing the street
its close to the place I was visiting
breakfast was okay, location was close enough yet far enough, grocery close, room was spacious if a bit dated, 3-5 min walk to bus stop. the direction to the hotel were very odd. had to stop and ask three different times, remember~ roads name change randomly in Vienna (Vien), so keep eyes peeled. some hotel staff not too nice nor informative, must drag info out of them. No a/c, but we knew this.
Attendant was very nice. Breakfast was good Beds were very hard.
Convenient location and transportation, good price Lack of air condition in my room
