Excellent access to the cruise terminal. A very comfy environment. We walked and used public transportation to make our way about the city, staying 3 days and two nights. We had no negative experiences or observations.
Great location, worth the extra money for the harbor view. Lots of great amenities, including use of the bikes because you are so close to the seawall and Stanley Park. Nice and friendly staff. TV often didn't work and had to restart it many times.
location Restauarnt tawdry: all furniture worn/torn, seriously in need of refurbishment. Security panels on doors and high-pressure door closers give impression of ongoing issues re security - perhaps unwarranted, but questionable.
Very nice and helpful staff. Awesome location. Nice lobby, restaurant/bar I booked a king but got a room with two twins (or two EXTREMELY small queens), bathroom wasn't very clean and bed and pillows were not very comfortable.
We stayed here while attending the Sea Wheeze festivities. We loved how close the location was to the convention center and the Stanley Park since that was where most of our weekend was spent. It was very nice stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Requested to change room due to the noise, The stuff found us a different room at 2 in the morning. Stayed a night on the 17th floor, the elevator sound was very loud through out the day and night. I couldn't fall asleep at all.
Pinnacle is clearly an older hotel that has had a high style interior makeover. The lobby, cafe/bar and the guest rooms are all very stylish. For quite reasonable rates our room had harbor and convention center views. The room and bath were nicely appointed. Quality coffe was offered for the morning The exterior is lack luster and the elevators have not been upgraded and feel a bit rickety. Our room was a hallway away from the core and we could hear them on and off all night. All in all it out performed expectations.
Proximity to harbor wall, Stanley Park, and Robson Street for all kinds of entertainment and diverse dining experiences. Rooms are spacious and parking is handy.
The view was great, location was great and these made our stay perfect. The room was clean and maintained during our stay, the staff was courteous. All in all happy at the end.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful .the accommodations were only so so and paying $300 USD for a $100 room was a downer.
1/ Location 2/ Friendly, helpful staff 3/ Great view from the breakfast room. 1/ Parking was a joke: expensive, very poorly laid out, difficult to find the way out and the way in. 2/ I found that $20 for a continental breakfast left me inclined to eat more than normal in an attempt to get my money's worth.
The location is 2 blocks from the harbor, easy walk to convention center attractions as well as harbor walk to nearby Stanley park. The hotel, though very nice is showing its age, mostly in exterior architecture & room hallways. The pool/spa was a bit dirty and not very well lit. The lobby makes a great first impression but diminishes with interaction with the rest of the spaces...
not enough desk space or staff at registration desk
everything is close to this hotel ya expensive
Well I did book room with a kingsize bed which I did not get.I did not make a fuss about it but if a request was specifically made, then it should be honored.
closeness to downtown parking- get real. pool/gym need serious upgrade
The position was very good and the rooms confortable.
Perfect location downtown Vancouver, nice breakfastbuffet, friendly staff
The location was great both for the event that I attended and for the shopping locally.
Well located. Staff at your service. Very nice room . Arrived at 11h30 pm and no food available since kitchen closed at 11pm. No appetizers available.
The excellent service, location in town, and the good food at the hotel restaurant
inflexibility in check-out time
Great hotel. Convenient location. Attentive Staff. Nothing.
Personal service! Every need is met. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. For instance, Chef Nathan, who we met upstairs while looking over the menu, offered to make us special dinners in preparation for our marathon the next day. He led us to the casual restaurant and custom created pasta dishes for us! What a treat! It was delicious! Also, every encounter was greeted with such politeness! The live music was awesome. We were on the street side and it was quiet, unlike another report. I LOVE THIS HOTEL! Loved everything about it. Will be back!
The air of sophistication and luxury. The ambience at the Fairmont Pacific Rim is hard to match. I liked the knowledgeable staff and their willingness to be of service to guests. House keeping can still improve in their cleanliness.
Good location near Canada Place and the waterfront. Walking distance to Gaslamp. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with noise due to some late-night partiers and management upgraded and moved us the next day after quieting the offending room. Couldn't be happier with the quality and cleanliness all throughout. The cafes and restaurants were very convenient as well. We traveled with our three young children and everyone was very nice and respectful the entire time, we never felt out of place. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but could see that it was being used by kids on both days we were there. Room service was fantastic and the service was great as well. Not much we didn't like. It was a bit pricey but we felt we got great value considering it is a luxury property.
The staff was friendly and courteous. Check in/out was smooth. The room clean and nice. The gym and pool had everything you would need for a long weekend. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, parks, and the waterfront. We will return.
Outstanding room, view, service, staff, water pressure, exercise facilities, restaurant. N/A
Was advertised as a supreme king suite. We opened the door on the 16th floor expecting a suite. A seperate seating area. Somewhere we could sit & look at the view of the harbour & Stanley park. Instead we found a king size bed, with 1 chair in the corner. A coffee maker with only plastic cups to drink our dark roast coffee, that once we added whitner it turned gray. The small tv on the wall was off to 1 side, leaving 1 person to sit on the bed ( which was quite comfortable) on an awkward angle. Overall it was a nice hotel that left a sour taste
The front desk was extremely helpful in getting us settled and helping us get a reservation at a fantastic but very popular restaurant nearby. And when we arrived at the restaurant the hotel sent a small hors d'oeuvre plate to us as a gift. Very classy. All the hotel service people were friendly and professional. We loved our corner bedroom with a view of downtown Vancouver. The windows went from floor to ceiling and the light was beautiful even though snow was falling. Beds were comfortable too. We booked on Kayak and the price was very reasonable for a city hotel near the waterfront. I would definitely go back. The Lobby was designed as a contemporary open space but it felt too big and vacant. Its interior design could be freshened.
Loved the modern décor and style of the hotel.
The location is great, the way the staff treats you and the overall quality. For the price we paid I would have expected a bigger room. Then I would have loved to have open view to the north harbour but a building was blocking partially our view, a little bummer although my wife loved it.
Perfectly located near the convention center with a knowledgable and kind staff. The room is excellent. The facilities are modern and clean. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to others.
Waterfront Baggage taken separately instead of in same elevator, and baggage gentlemen was very pushy as well as the valet attendant. Park elsewhere nearby for much cheaper.
I stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour in downtown Vancouver in mid December about two weeks before Christmas. Decided to head north for the holiday and go see Christmas lights somewhere cold (Butchart Gardens in Victoria was AMAZING, by the way). Vancouver was definitely in full swing for the holidays, but the city is pretty quiet and the crowds have dwindled by this time of year. Everything was fantastic. It's freezing, but I'm pretty sure the bedding was nice and warm, because I remember sleeping like a baby. The room was a decent size with good amenities, the bathroom was huge, and everything is "green" - recycling; economy sized bottles of shampoo, lotion, etc.; not unnecessarily washing towels that aren't really dirty... I'm from Los Angeles, so I hate to see water waste. You won't find any at this hotel :) Everything is walking distance - It's centrally located, about at 12 minute walk to the train that takes you to and from the airport, and only a block or two from the water. It rained (duh), so we took taxis a few times (at present, Uber doesn't operate in Van city), but if you have a hood and an umbrella, you shouldn't worry. The city is built for wet weather, and everything went along smoothly. The best part of the hotel was the staff. Can't remember the name of the guy at the front desk (Louis? Luis? I may have made that up.), but he had spot on recommendations for food and attractions. He recommended a great brunch spot called Medina and a fun Christmas Market (German style) with a photobooth, cider, mulled wine, and a lot of hand-made crafts. I had a great time in Vancouver and would definitely stay here again. Two very excited thumbs up! Note: We also took the Westcoast Sightseeing bus to Victoria. They pick up and drop off directly at the hotel, which is really great if you're planning on taking any side trips to Victoria. I haven't got one, single complaint. I guess the views from some rooms aren't as great as others, but why gripe about the view when you can go out into the city and actually experience it.
That my dog was allowed to stay with me and the location.
upscale ..lovely hotel overlooking Stanley park . and harbor.. shopping is just steps away... with many restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance..you won't need to drive anywhere...We will be back for sure in the near future
loved the patio doors opened up to the veiw of the sea,the breeze flowed through the room.
The location was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable.
Fabulous views Close to everything. Very quiet on 9th floor. Friendly staff. Right on the sea wall. I have stayed at many hotels in vanvouver which were fancier but this is my favorite since it brings out what makes Van one of the most picturesque cities of the world A bit dated and modern 70s decor Valet was a bit steep at $40. No free WiFi in rooms
Location is superb with Stanley Park at the door and the city behind. Great views Price of parking
Loved the hotel. Have stayed there many times... Amazing location... However, $750 a night is absolutely insane!! Somehow got ripped off online into paying that for one night! It was supposed to be for 2 nights.... Not happy... Complete rip off...
Usually when I travel and get to a hotel I want to be checked in as quickly as possible. You'd think the young guy checking me in would have understood this, but he kept stopping what he was doing to answer questions from one of the other hotel workers. The other worker was maybe 50 or so, the kid's senior, so I understand his respect for the older man, but they should both know that whatever questions/answers either of them have for each other, should have been both posed and answered after the guest is checked in. Sounds like a very small detail but this level of attention to detail is what I expect from a 4-star hotel. Aside from that and the location being fairly removed from much of what I wanted to see, no complaints.
Great location, good value. Fun to be in that part of the city, a real attraction for us. Exterior is rather dated but interior was fine. Not a concern for us.
Beds were very comfortable We had 3 people in our party so we got a room with a king bed & a roll away. Wasn't happy !
I liked the location. It was easy walking distance to eating and shopping locations. Also, could purchase city tours at front desk and cab service was easily available.
Good service Good location They nickle and dime you; parking was $10 daily more than advertised on my confirmation (they said it was an old rate, although I only booked two days before the stay!). Then they charge for wifi! Seriously!?!?!? Who charges for wifi these days?
The location was great! It was walking distance to restaurants, the harbor, and a stop for the hop on hop off tours. It said breakfast was included, and then they wouldn't let us have breakfast. That was the major reason I picked them.
* gym, pool, sauna * location * $8/day for slow wifi, $15/day for OK wifi
Great location! Felt the staff was a little stuffy; thought the room was OK, wasn't what I expected (for the price). No ice machine?! Had to call for room service to have that brought up every day...? Maybe I'm not used to boutique hotels.
Friendly staff. 4.5 stars - Really nice rooms that are getting near time for updating. I will happily stay there again. The guest rooms are starting to show minor signs of wear: HVAC - Thermostat no longer working properly; either high fan (noisy as heck) or no fan at all. Bed - getting very lumpy and needs to be flipped or turned. But overall very nice.
Lovely rooms, comfortable bed and good view. Staff helpful and friendly No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Free coffee was provided at reception but this meant having to get dressed first to go down for a coffee.
The comfort and cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful - had a lovely time. No tea/coffee facilities in room
Friendly staff, great design and location. Too basic breakfast room service menu.
Very good staff!!!, good location, nice view Breakfast
The persons behind the reception! They opened the door every evening for our son Brenn (2 years).
