Rooms. Service. Price is relatively high
The Palace Hotel is just that... a contemporary palace complete with impeccable finishes, art, and service. The staff could not do enough for us from carrying bags, to creating itineraries, to attending to our every need with prompt attention and happy disposition. So kind and generous and anxious to please. Food and drinks were first rate and the concierge club level lounge put it over the top with intimate lounge overlooking the city, outside lounge area with couches and city views, and beautiful and kind service managers who served food and drinks and made arrangements for us all with a warm smile. The rooms are clean contemporary yet warm and impeccable with every convenience at the touch of a button. There is art throughout the rooms and hotel that make you stop and take notice at every turn. If you are lucky enough to get a corner room as we were we enjoyed city views and over looked the Emperial Palace Gardens. The view from the bathroom and tub were breathtaking. The hotel is connected by a beautifully finished underground tunnel with shoppes and restaurants to the nearest train station. This is clearly one of the finest hotels in the world. even if you are not staying here it's worth the time to see. I travelled with my 25 year old son and although he enjoyed experiencing the best of the best, the location is a bit removed from the more active and younger areas to the west such as Shibuya, Roppongie, Harijuko and Shinjuku! if you're hanging in the high rent district you can't beat it, although I must say Harijuko has great shopping along pedestrian friendly streets! Am must see.
The Palace Hotel was top rate. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was spectacular! Good location away from the city noise and beautiful details at every turn. Very expensive dining but superb food. Definitely a 5-6 star hotel.
Location, service, pool staff
I was only in Tokyo for two days. I have always wanted to see the City so I stayed as a long lay-over. I have traveled quite a bit and mostly stay at high end hotels. The room was amazing. It was large, clean and the bed was perfect. I think the one thing that stood out was the service. I mostly felt with the front desk manager Tetsuro Nakamura. Everyone at the hotel seemed to really appreciate their job and enjoy helping their guests. Nothing comes to mind
This was a top notch hotel. The rooms were large and very comfortable by Tokyo standards. The staff was very good at what they do and speak great English. The location of this hotel was wonderful from my point of view. While it was for sure in a business area it was a 5 min walk #40or less#41 to Tokyo station which makes it great. The Shinkansen and the Narita stop in Tokyo station which makes for a quick trip to the hotel. If you want they will great you at your train and walk you back. The restaurant was typical of most high end hotels with good food well done but not a value in any way. In the end there are tons of nice inexpensive places within 10 min walk that cater to the worker in the area if you are looking for a little less costly fair. While they can set up tours and the like for you my single experience with that a tour of the fish market left a lot to desired. It way have just been a bad day or a bad guide so I have no idea it others will have better luck. My ro...
Very nice hotel in Tokyo. Just a few minutes from Suidobashi Subway Station and JR Suidobashi Station. Really good location. Hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating. Rooms are new and clean. I had a very nice stay in Hotel Niwa. I highly recommend this hotel.
Very good location, excellent staff, great value for money ,near train station. The breakfast was excelleny
We enjoyed the neighborhood Hotel Niwa is located in. Lots of eateries and convenience stores. We also appreciated the laundry facilities and massage chairs. The staff is very friendly. I would look for a hotel that is even closer to the store best line.
Location Only had smoking room, which was not mentioned on Kayak.com. Price was higher than advertised on kayak.com
Nice, we'll run hotel. Rooms are clean and modern. Location, in between suidobashi and Jimbocho subway stops is ok but not the best area to be overall. it was hard to control the room temperature- sometimes it would be boiling even after turning heat way down.
The level of service was exceptional, and the overall quality of the hotel and room was superb. The facility for printing documents/making copies could be improved by having some instructions in English on the machines.
very nice hotel, not far away from the subway, a lot of little shop all around, quite a big room ,breakfast delicious and everybody so kind!!!! everything perfect!!!!
This is my second time staying at Niwa Hotel. It is very near to Suidobashi station & Tokyo dome city. Many choices of food in that area. Strongly recommend to people who is going to see concert at Tokyo Dome .
All the right things in the room. Standard rooms are small but adequate - we stayed in standard and superior (which was international standard size).
Good location. Very polite staff, good service and clean room. nothing.
Best hotel room I've ever stayed in. Rooms were designed thoughtfully and everything made sense. Extremely clean and in an excellent location. nothing much. maybe wish the rooms were a bit bigger?
The sevice was friendly and very obliging. The buffet breakfast offerd a good selection of both North American and Japanese food. The hotel rooms were very well kept. I appreciated their attention to being green in the disdretion of changing linen and towels. Internet use was good. I thought the breakfast buffet was a litttle pricey. Paying for use of the internet server and printer was a little downgrading for such a nice hotel. The lounge and fine dining facilities were very expensive
Kind and nice staff. Quiet location. Smell in the guest room.
Service is great! no
The staff are charming and the rooms comfortable
location The room smelt like body odor and the rooms definitely felt older
Stay was very pleasurable due to comfort, cleanliness and excellent staff. Too far from airport and the shuttle services did not meet our needs - the last shuttle ran at 7pm - we got to the airport just after 7pm and the first shuttle in the morning was too late to get us to the airport in time for our flight. As a result we had a $200 taxi fare to and from the hotel to the airport which was very disappointing and expensive.
Location was good but the nearby areas didn't have much to eat. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was nice. It's easy to get back to the hotel with a taxi since they all know the hotel name. The hotel doesn't offer around the clock housekeeping. We slept in till after 2 and they couldn't make up our room since it was too late.
everything you need is there, with nice wide open spaces No coplaints
Location, friendliness of the personnel value for money
Friedly staff, good position, clean room Small room
The hotel was in a good location with quick access to major transportation. The air conditioner was controlled by the staff, I called to access the thermostat and was informed that it was not accessible during the winter/spring.
The hotel staff were very friendly and eager to help. The room was bright, clean and comfortable with an amazing view. The hotel was very easy to find and get to on the underground. The breakfast was so expensive that I decided to go hungry instead. The airport shuttle bus was around £50 for two people which is a complete rip off for a one hour journey. The bathroom in the room was too small for such an expensive hotel, and the tv didn't work.
Convenient and clean
Great Location No Gym
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and operated perfectly. No Issues. The King size bed was very comfortable. Room was somewhat small. Food options in and near the hotel were limited.
Great location at station, very clean and quiet.
the staff are absolutly helpful, very accomodating. special thanks to Mr. Nagase and Mr. Kaneko at frontdesk, they both provide execllent professional and heartfelt service. perfect location for JR shinkensan if you want to explore the other provinces with JR East Pass. since tokyo station is a huge one, a bit lost to find the nearest exit to the hotel. not enough direction inside the tokyo station.
Service and good location. Room is too small.
The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The cost of the meals at the hotel was high.
The location directly across from Tokyo Station is super convenient, the rooms are clean and extremely well-appointed. Very friendly staff. I would definitely stay at the hotel again during my next visit to Tokyo.
Location to shopping, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Imperial Palace, Narita Express, subways and peace and quiet due to the location of the hotel: 27-34th floors. Small rooms. Bedspread adornment had "funky stains". Breakfast was a little pricy for $30 for a buffet....but it was delish so I ate there for convenience.
not free and easy access to internet room
Good central location for exploring the city with 4 different metro stops nearby. Nice view from the room as well as the breakfast room at the 42nd floor.
Clean room and good housekeeping. Also liked the temperature in the room. The check-in process was not good. I was very delayed for my appointment then was given a smoking room. Also, the room was very dated in its styling.
The great service and facilities. We thought the food in some of the restaurants was average for the price.
Staff were excellent, all spoke very good English and couldn't do enough to help. Restaurants and shops in hotel were really expensive, but there's plenty of excellent local alternatives.
Breakfast was good
Brillant service, location and setting - surrounded in its own garden! A very short walk to train networks and city resturants down the road. Restaurants were quite expensive and as the hotel had three sections, orientation was a little difficul.t
I liked that the hotel served mainly individuals on business. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. There are some great restaurants in the hotel and a great a garden. A tour of the hotel would be great since it's such a big place. It took me until the end of the trip to figure out how to get around easier.
Staff was very discreet and kind (in a japanese way). The hotel is really well placed near a big station of metro (several lines here) 2 minutes walk away. I found a little bit miser not to give free internet access (I always find this a pity) at this price.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. There was a wide variety of superb food. The view was fantastic. The fitness center was well equipped.
the view from the top of the tower and the garden Everything inside the hotel was extremely expensive, the access to the swimming pool was not even free
Convenient location, opposite subway station, 7-11 downstair, many restaurants across the street, well- English spoken staffs, big twin beds, great bathroom facilities, esp. auto warming toilet seat. Bad wi-fi signal in rooms, uncomfortable duvet cover.
The location is very good, subway station is just in front of the hotel, krispy Kreme just opposit I booked non smoking room , but they provided me a smoking room, whi
Free upgrade to a larger room (we checked in fairly late). Late check out. Unfortunately, they only had smoking rooms.
This is a really convenient location for travelers. It's directly across the street from Akasaka-mitsuke Station, lots of Japanese and non-Japanese food options and some historic sites. If you can managed to get a room on the back side of the hotel, I would recommend it. My room was so quiet. It was perfect. The hotel staff were very nice. They were able to direct me to where I needed to go when I had to buy a few things for my trip. Getting there from Narita airport was easy. I just bought a ticket on the appropriate limousine bus for 3100 yen. Yes, that's slightly more expensive than the Keisei Skyliner, but it drops you off at the front door of this hotel. It's worth the extra 600 yen to not have to carry my luggage through the train stations from where the Keisei Line drops you off. And it's way cheaper than a cab. Breakfast downstairs is quite pricey (about 2800 yen or so). Of course, it's not like you have to eat at the hotel. It's literally 4 doors down from a Tully's coffeeshop where you can have a decent breakfast and coffee for less than 700 yen.
Convenient location, subway connection to city areas, good service and comfortable beds. Language gap with some reception staff.
nespresso machine in the room and speeker for lap top no wifi in the room
1. The metro subway is very convenient. 2. The access of food nearby is plentiful. 3.7-11 downstairs is located at its best.
It was close to the palace grounds. Overall, simple hotel next to the national theater, small room, would not fit two adults comfortably. I booked a room for two, but when I showed up and told them it was only me, they might have changed me into the smaller room? Wasn't close to the public entrence to palace grounds, the train station, or the main shopping/ eating area. Check out is at 10 am, I asked for late checkout, they gave me an hour, couldn't negotiate.
fantastic view - half double room - imperial palace fantastic view - nice window view - internet - diet - hanzomon subway exagerated police and security forces in the surrounding neighbourhood
The view overlooking the Imperial Palace park is smashing. I hope there are JR stations but the Metro stations are pretty strategic as well.
Great location in central Tokyo with easy access to all areas and a residential feeling. Great views of the park and very friendly and helpful staff. It is a big hotel so it feels impersonal yet all the plusesmake up for it.
The location is superb in the center of Tokyo, within an easy reach to everything via the Hanzomon Metro Station. The staff is very cortageous and are always willing to help. The rooms view to Ginza skyline is amazing. The floor carpets needed a change.
great view of city, location was good, very near 1 metro line. Well appointed and clean. Need to offer more free english language TV.Breakfast rather poor for such a high quality restaurant.
great location (just a few minutes to Hanzomon station), nice staff, clean room and bathroom, great views. no wireless internet in the hotel, only internet through cable
Gave me a free room upgrade none
