The location of my room with the Bay of Tangier, the palm trees, the swimming pool and the rising moon over the water. It was really spectacular. Mini bar was really nice and very handy as I was exhausted.
The old world style and traditional Moroccan vibe it has, it has a style and timeless quality that has sadly disappeared from most hotels today. The girl in the spa reception was so rude when we enquired about prices. She turned her back on us and when I asked a question she shouted 'what' at us. Got the feeling we were really bothering her as she chatted to her friends.
Excellent view. In any case is one of the two acceptable hotels there Bad sheets doubtfull clean. Prices not reflecting the confort
hotel run by very friendly staff. very clean rooms, everywhere in fact..hotel had a lovely old fashioned moroccan feel , with attractive decor and styling throughout. great use of wellness centre for hamman and massages. a little bit expensive, drinks and food. easy to get carried away with putting everything on the room and bill at the end. but for this quality of service, partly expected.
The stay has been extremely pleasant and the staff was very nice and helpful
Staff were incorrigibly self-promoting: I.E. referral to a rental car company with a new car which turned out to be a 2006 repainted sedan with seat covers and 85000km! Incompetence punctuated by outright lies would be a solid description of some staff.
It was well organized and the room had amenities such as reading lights and had a place to store two suitcases. I couldn't figure out how to use the TV. However, watching TV was not a priority.
Service in general of the hotel The guide recomended.
it was a pleasant, well-located hotel with a special character.
The room was nicer and more spacious than those you would find in the city proper, the location was clean and safe, and the pool was very nice. Terrible check in wait, staff was rude, shower curtain fell down on me, food/bar were massively overpriced for Morocco, and they charged my credit card twice for the same stay. Also a drive from city, and they call the gouging cab service unless asked.
Close to the train station and beach, large clean room. Nice cheap breakfast. Noisy construction going on right next door
It was extremely easy to hail a taxi from this location, and it was relatively close to the water. The room smelled of cigarette smoke even though the rooms are no smoking. The pool was closed because the staff said it was 'windy'.
The room was clean, provided enough space for me as a single traveler and the hotel had a nice breakfast bar. Credit card payment wasn't an option, resulting in an atm fiasco. And their cab driver demanded a 30% tip. Whatever.
The room is overall very clean, nice room design very modern , really good location next to beach, shops , eating places and mall. The hotel staff was helpfull when I had a problem. Good value for money. Close to train station as well. Small pool if there is a lot people if your with yourself than its ok. Some things in the room are hard to figure out like how to turn on the lights ( i figured out you had to put in your room card into a thing ) and took a while to figure out shower which only gave hot water ( management helped me figure out how to get cold ) the shower kinda floods the bathroom because it has no shower door. Wish they were more towels. Breakfast was extra. Bit pricy for laundry. But that's it
The classic Moorish interior design of the public spaces was a big factor in selecting this hotel as well as the hotel's proximity to the ferry landing. The traditional tiled walls and compound arches, the unique light fixtures and the historical artifacts were all delightful. The rooms were much less spectacular than the public spaces.
Very close to the bus station. Rooms are very run down. Smells like smoke.
View of the harbor. Small size of our room
good location close to port and the old town, reasonable price a little dated
The staff are very helpful, although you must be able to speak French (like most of Morocco). It is very close to the ferryport, so you don't need a taxi as long as you take the catamaran from Tarifa to Tanger town and not the ferries from Algeciras which go to the new port 50km out of town. Very close to the medina for eating & shopping. Free wifi was a bonus. The carpets in the room weren't very clean; some rooms have been refurbished but ours hadn't yet.
The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof terrace was simply marvelous - good food, great view. The hotel lobby and hallways were great, lots of character. My room was small and not that attractive -- and was very musty-smelling. It wasn't a terrible room as these things go, a perfectly reasonable budget option, but I thought for the money it would have been a *little* nicer. I paid less and got a nicer room during the rest of my travels in Morocco (including in Fez & Marrakech.)
Cordialita' del personale la posizione ti permette di muoverti a piedi
Lovely old-world charm. Original fittings and decor. Good service and helpful staff.great location in the centre of the Medina overlooking the port Be careful you arrive at the corredt port as there are now two ports in Tangiers, Tanger Med Port is 50 km away from the town!
We came as a group of 8 the location was excellent for us as we came over int the ferry from Spain and was walking distance to the ferry port. It is not in the posh's part of Tangier but we only stayed 2 nights and found it very interesting and close to markets etc. The area close to the hotel could be a bit intimidating at times.
it was well located room was scruffy. air con/ tv did not work
Stopover on way from Spain to Marrakech Breakfast too late for early train. Internet was not working.
shockingly poor breakfast
I liked the room, its being very comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fulfill.
The hotel was excellently located overlooking the sea, the bedroom was beautifully spacious & the bathroom was well equipped.Public rooms were spacious & welcoming. The breakfast was dreadful.....for a 4 star hotel & charged £10 each person there were no 'basics' - ham, cheese or fruit!
Comfortable room, and very convenient location Only one lift working during my stay.
The best part was the location; so close to so much to see.The grandchildren loved the breakfast , the food and the attentive service.Very clean and well keptand some staff were very helpful he rooms we booked were not those we got. We booked 5 rooms 3 family and 2 double. The family were the double plus a cot not as advertised. Disappointing. Some staff members were unhelpful and disinterested.
very close to the port and in the centre of tangiers.
Close to beach Did not have our reservations. A/c did not work, room smelled like sewage
access to the city centre the 'middle-eastern' ambience of what shout be an 'international' hotel
location is there a maitenance service in this hotel...? (internet not working, lift do not work ...etc. may it's like the staff just busy to talk together ...!
Nice swimming pool, relaxed atmosphere in the evening whilst enjoying a meal & drink Key staff (Front desk) had a poor understanding of English. Bar and restaurant staff much better. Location of the hotel is very poor and they make an expensive charge for hotel car into town, Breakfast always late and the same - for the business traveller needing to make an early start is inconvienient, Quality of meal variable, sometimes excellent, sometimes poor,
The nice room and good breakfast buffet
Nice rooms, very clean and comfortable. Attractive pool area. Classic but good buffet breakfast. Great grilled food by the pool. Some construction works were still going on. The staff is very friendly but does seem fresh out of hotel school and makes some beginner mistakes, nothing too serious, but sometimes not the service you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Even though the hotel was practically empty, we could not check out late (16:00 instead of 13:00).
The bedrooms are clean and the staff in the restaurant are friendly and helpful, The staff in reception could not speak good English and were getting things mixed up all the time including room service. We were unable to use the Swimming pool as it was unclean. There were generators next to most of the bedrooms so was noisey. In our opinion the hotel is not a 5 star.
The safety box did not work and the water supply shifted from cold to hot approximately every 30 seconds. I complained about this the first 2 days of my stay, but nothing was done. This is not a service i expect from a 5 star hotel. There was a poor service in the reception, when asking for the price of golfing (at hotel andalucia GOLF tangier) i was told to go find out myself. All in all the price is higher than the actual quality of the hotel. Last the room was full of ants, not a hotel i would recommend at all.
the touch of Marrocan architecture The water of the shower, gets cold and then hot during your shower, and spa and breakfast were not at all a 5 star hotel. When cleaning and swooping the floor cleaning ladies should be instructed to ensure that this is properly indicated to avoid that guests step on a wet floor without notecing..........it happened many times with many guests.........
The hotel location, the view, the manager being present at the time of problem. 1- I was checked in to a room that has not been cleaned by house keeps. This happened at 3am after my wedding and a drive of 1hour. After a complain to reception, the room was cleaned and the hotel manager turned up and assured that he will look into the matter. I was offered a free night stay. 2- No Iron and I was not provided an one after 2 phone calls to reception - disgrace for 5 stars
The facilities, and the receptionists at the Casino. The price is very high comparing by other hotels rates.
Decent swimming pool. Paying to use fitness facilities despite already paying 150 Euros for the room. Break is more like 3 star hotel than 5 star. Staff at reception were arrogant and unhelpful and do not show any concern about customer opinion. We were charged for laundry services but we did not use any laundry service during our stay.
The food was wonderful! Very nice pool area. Several bars to choose from. Well staffed hotel. They charge extra for jacuzzi and internet. This surprised me.
No mirror in the room....when they have families with kids they should put them in the same floor as kids disturbs the other guests with their noise..running in the corridor of the hotel and knocking the doors of the rooms!!!
The staff was helpful beyond words. The rooms were nicely decorated and the place was well done, but the staff was great, from the woman who served breakfast, the maid, the woman who cooked and Moustaffa, they made the difference! none
The owners have paid wonderful attention to detail in terms of design and the little bits and pieces that really make your stay special. The rooms are beautiful and it has a very nice roof terrace. A little more explanation of the nearby area on arrival would have been useful.
i think its over price the room very small
Good location, beautiful rooms which were quirky and romantic. The room had no air conditioning and the fan that was supplied did not work so it was unbearably hot at night. Didn't sleep very well due to the heat and also very noisy as our bedroom window led directly onto the street below where peolpe seemed to mill about until the small hours. Would not stay again.
Relaxed and friendly atmoshere all staff very helpful large rooms and bathrooms Our room was on the 3rd floor a bit too far out of the way and a heck of a climb
The proprietor and staff were delightful in this beautifully renovated house in the old quarter. Old world ambiance, with a rooftop terrace that overlooks the medina. It felt like an oasis.Do not try and find this hotel without help. Staying the Medina is for the adventurous; we were always glad when we made it back in the door
