The hotel was so conviently located in teh beautiful area of Petite France, amoung beautiful old buildings, flowers and the water. Plenty of local cafes and restaurants close by.
A lovely spot and a classy modern hotel.
The room was large and comfortable, with windows that opened and we had a toilet in a seperate room We were literally above water flowing under our room (Strassburg is known as the Venice of France). There was a computer set up downstairs to access the internet free. The breakfast was quite expensive for a meal when you don't actually feel like much to eat (22 Euros per person) so we ate at a cafe literally around the corner from the hotel for a fraction of the price. Wifi in the room was also expensive, so we didn't use our laptop, just the public computer downstairs.
The location, the installation and design of the lobbies and rooms (excl. bath-room) The Sauna is poorly installed , and not in line with the norms used in the rest of the hotel. The Sauna was overheated (110°c) and hotelpersonnel would not correct the temperature.
great location and very pleasant staff bathroom and toilet needed better ventilation. no water provided
location, services night front office manager not particularly welcoming
friendly staff, excellent room, good price no
This is a fine hotel. The designers were more interested in design than in comfort or practicality. The bedlamps are charming but do not cast sufficient light for reading. The mirrors are ludicrous. One cannot see one's face or hair in a triangular mirror. As so often, the shower faces in the wrong direction, spraying out into the room.
the location is perfect, personel nice and surroundings great. -
Location, location, location
The location is good and it is clean and tidy. No. Basically, everything is okay.
The room was clea. There is a good, free access to Wi-Fi. Apart from that the loction is really convenient.
good location, nice staff, quiet rooms
Unfortunately, I came away with fleas which must have been hiding in the pillow of the bed and was badly attacked and discomforted by the experience.
Nice, cosy and close to the railway station
Everything was all set. A city book pass was provided that was very useful. Having WFI was very good - I needed to use i.
Location Asked for a double bed was given 2 singles. Car park was 10 minutes walk away and Items in the room were not replaced daily
Good location, friendly staff. The drain in the basin is not working properly, very slow.
Clean, good value - no particular frills but just the job for a short stay in Strasbourg
The restrautant was closed at dinner time.
It's a cosy place with a friendly personnel ,in avery convenient spot A little touch of rennovation in the interior (corridors etc) and a lot at exterior.
Comfortable and well managed hotel. Rooms a bit shabby but clean. Good location near train station and tram.
Convenient to both train station & sightseeing: adequent for stopover stay
This is an excellent family hotel with great service, nice people and a truly wonderful dining room. Top value for money. there was nothing that we did not ike.
wonderful staff, great English, very helpful. Stairs would make it impossible for handicapped, made carrying the bags a slight problem.
friendly staff, spacious room, good location the hotel-restaurant has no longer restaurant and that should be posted in the announce
The hotel was close to petit france area, so very convenient for visiting the christmas markets. Hotel staffs were very nice and welcoming. The building and the room needs a bit of renovation. They are so old and lack sense of clenliness although I could tell that the cleaning is done properly. Tough the price is not that expensive, I still thought it doesn't worth the money..
Staff were pleasant. Good location
situation close to the main station the room is very small
the location is good, close to station and city centre Shower gel is not replenished. If you use up the small bottle, you are not going to get another one during your stay...
I booked Le Bristol 5 minutes before I visited there, because of the train strike. It was to be my one day trip and I had never thought I would stay in Strasbourg at the day. Le Bristol is just one minute from the station, bus, and tram. So I decided. Finally, the staff at the reception was kind and polite, and supported me a lot, with speaking in English. It made me feel ease. Thanks. Wi-Fi didn't work at the room. I could use it at the lobby.
Very easy to find from railway station; near bus and tram routes; near enough to tourist centre of Strasbourg.
morning shift - staff was very helpfull ( older man ) fire escape exits not accesible / obstructed / under repair
I particularly liked the breakfast. Fresh strawberries every day! Also the insulation seems to be very good as I did not hear much sound from other rooms nor from outside when the windows were closed. The carpet in the room is a bit old.
Convenient to railway station and city centre Large number of noisy students staying on the first night
I liked that my room was ready before the check in time and the location was very convenient. The room was really overpriced and the facilities certainly did not match my expectations.
I thought the front desk personeel were very nice and accomodating. The room was nice, not a great view but for a last minute booking at discount it was fine since we were touring the city most of the time. Very happy to see you allowed pets at no extra charge. We will use the Bristol again:) Can't complain about anything
The location is very good
professionalism of the staff, atmosphere of the dining room dimensions of the room and corridor, lamps (reading is quite impossible), absence of a shower curtain
The A/C and the location. The external telephone line wasn't working. To make an external call, one had to go to reception. The A/C was a bit noisy.
clean, rooms were spacious, beds and desk were comfortable, the windows open! no clock in room, shampoo was all in one--body wash/shampoo/conditioner? no washcloths or hand towels, no iron/ironing board (although i also didn't ask--i might have been able to get one). these are minor complaints. the hotel is overall fine.
The desk staff were excellent, they took care to help in every way. Well worth the money and very well organized with excellent staf overall. Nothing comes to mind.
Perfect Location ..just 4 mins walk from Gare de strasbourg station. Hotel is busy throught out day n night so no problem in check in as we arrived around 1:30 am in night. Room was very clean . all basic amenities provided. Nice bathroom . hotel staff spoke good english and were helpful. Breakfast could have been better. We payed 8 euros per head just for 2 croissants. No bread to toast also . may be its just french culture b/c we faced the same issue in Paris.
Location, very helpful and kind staff, price TV cahnnels all were in French
Cheap hotel near central station. Sometimes a little bit noisy because of other guests.
Close to the station, good beds. Lots of low, wooden beams in my room, I kept hitting my head. Also, as soon as I closed my window, I would smell the smoke drifting up from the bar, even on the 5th floor. The bathroom was tiny and not very clean (and the toilet seat fell off on the first evening).
The hotel is very close to the train station with reasonable prices.
The location of hotel is excellent, the price is very good. A good place for accomodation for people, who are staying in the city for a short time, who arrive late night.
everything is OK
the internet they need somebody that speaks english well
In front of Train station and hotel was clean. Receptionist is not always there.
It is easy to access from the Rail Station and only 5 minutes from the centre of Strasbourg and Petite France and a huge variety of food shops and cafes and other shops in the vicinity The hotel is popular with young people and school groups and at times was quite noisy but this did not disturb my sleep. I could not access the free wireless with my Mac and the staff could not help with passwords or advice.
Very nice, friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent. The mattress sagged. Also, street noise was constant. (Not the hotel's fault. Our windows were open.)
friendly welcome and location No
It was clean. Old hotel, TV now working...
good location just outside the central station, big rooms internet was broken when we were there and they didn't do anything about it they just said " we don't know"
Location is very good. The staf in the reception is very kind. We didn't have any problem. The room was a little bit small and bathroom too.
The hotel is conveniently located closed to the railway station and the city centre. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is very close to the train station and tram station, so it's quite convenient to go to downtown and sight spot!
very clean. Good location
Close to city center and station. Good heating, hot water, clean. Nice receptionist. Parking discount (7Eur per day) Pretty small room and bathroom.
The hotel staff was very polite and excellent. Nothing
Good location, normal value for money. There were two things I did not like about the hotel. First, when I entered the hotel I had to write my name and address into a notebook where all the other customers could also read the information. I have never seen something like that before. Second, the hotel charged my credit card twice and I had to contact my bank to correct this mistake. Double charging has also never happened to me before.
only the location close enough to the center very old hotel without any renovation
convenient for city centre and very close to railway station. This was a very pleasant overnight stop. No
The hotel was located across the street from the Strasbourg train station--very convenient. It was also located within walking distance to the Old Town. The room was adequate and the price appropriate to the amenities offered.
Close to the center and right opposite the train station.
All went fine. We were planning to stay only one night though, so I can't quite say much on long staying. But the staff was very kind, rooms were more than fine for a short staying. Only problem, flushing the toilets might have required some waiting ...
Sophie was tres gentile. Breakfast was good. I was happy with staying there. I would stay there again if I returned.
great location, friendly staff, worth the money front side rooms are big and comfortable but back side rooms are not so much.
Very friendly staff, good quiet atmosphere, excellent central location, good value for money and, crucially, highly efficient air conditioning system!
Proximity to the station Uncomfortable bed, poor quality linens, dated decor and furnishings, tiny bathroom
Great location, comfy bed, trendy, free drinks apples and candy, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Remodeled rooms but on the small side.
The location is great being so close to the old town. However, I booked 10 twins but when we turned up (only around 5 p.m,, not late at night) we were simply told "Sorry, we only have 6 twins. The rest you have to take double rooms!!" I think there should be some guarantee about getting what we book through booking.com.
the room was very clean, hotel staffs are very kind. the room was small, but ok.
Very good location, very good buffet breakfast, small but comfortable room, free WIFI friendly personnel.
very close to the station, the price included breakfast the room was small
The staff was friendly, curteous and very helpful, The room, although very small, was clean with ample storage. The hotel is located on a side street and it would have been helpful if we had known that beforehand; even with a GPS, it was hard to find. The location, just across from the main train station, was central and it was easy to get around.
Great location, friendly staff, decent breakfast and the building is renewed. The rooms are way too small.
Newly renovated, clean, good location. Very good 2 star hotel.
Clean, modern rooms and trendy atmosphere.
The location was pretty convenient because we could walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The rooms were extremely small. We brought our pack and play for our 1 year old, and had to switch rooms because the room was too small to fit the pack and play in it. They also say that parking is available, but the parking is 3 blocks away.
My daughter and I found the Chut beautiful and distinctive with the Zen themed rooms, the art work and fine linens. It had a great reading room on the floor and a book called Chut which was I believe is related to the Hotel's name.A perfect gourmet dinner in a lovely garden setting and Wifi access to the Internet along with cable tv on a flat screen added to the experience. The narrow interior "cut out" of the Chut cost as much as a stay at the spacious Courtyard by Marriott in Berlin the night before so it might not be for those on a budget or who don't like narrow spaces and winding staircases. The inn was hard to find for the taxi drivers as it was not clearly marked, perhaps better directions could be provided.
Very friendly staff. Great room: old house redone in a very fashionable way
Sophisticated design and romantic atmosphere closed to 'petit France". Helpfull people!
I liked the design of the hotel, cosy, nice room, nice garden, good location The service was very bad, very messy, badly organised. The toilette in the room, really not practical when it is considered as double room.
The owner is very charming. Food in the hotel restaurant excellent. Steep stairs to the room. Showerroom/toilette separated from the bedroom with only a low wall (120 cm)
