Had a very warm welcome from the lady in reception, who was also very helpful regarding information about the area.
comfortable bed, clean room, good food, friendly staff
A pleasant hotel with a good atmosphere, very good restaurant In the booking prosess it looked like there where no rooms available, but rooms were available after some klicking on the booking pages.
location and parking available readily all rooms are non smoking

comfort and cleanliness
wifi, food, staff
Warm welcome at Reception; there was a wedding reception on and I thought I might be disturbed by this, however, I think I was given a quiet room as I did not hear any noise at all; excellent breakfast and friendly checkout. Overpriced at £125 - if it had been cheaper I would have stayed longer; couldn't get the shower to work; tv didn't work very well.
We were staying in the hotel whilst on business. Staff and food were excellent - especially the ice cream! Found our rooms to be a little on the warm side, and restaurant was on the cool side, however these would not deter us visting again, or recommending your hotel.
Friendly staff No
Nothing, they cancelled my room on the day of arrival without notice. See above
The location was very convenient to the terminal where the ferry from mainland Scotland docked after dark. Parking also convenient. Food also good.
The friendly and helpful staff The room windows rattled noisily with the high winds
Flexibility of dining arrangements-staff oleasant and helpful
Excellent food, both at breakfast and during the evening. Although the room was a little small, it was clean and tidy which was really all that was required. Good value for money. None really to speak of.
hotel was quite modern, clean and comfortable we booked a single and a double but were given 2 twins. your lift requires a service
I enjoyed the breakfast and the location was very handy for the ferry terminal I felt the cleanliness of the room could be improved with discarded crisps on the floor below the dresser and an old toothbrush lieing on the bathroom floor
Friendliness and efficiency of staff. Bus parties rule. No porridge left after they had breakfasted and no offer to make more on Monday 24th May '10
Staff were helpful and pleasant My mother was with me and the room was extremely cold - we did get a heater when we asked for it. Also carvery and sweet was not worth the money.
decoration is much improved over last year. very good. no decaff coffee available at breakfast
This is the second time we have stayed in the hotel. We find it convenient for the town, especially leaving the car there!!!!!!and it gives us easy access to visit family and friends. We especially liked the room we had this time(40)apart from the noise of the lift!!!! My partner finds the T V frustrating as you still only have 4 channels!!!!!He is a late person and likes to watch TV late at night!!!!!!!!
This was a great surprise! We've not stayed at many B&B's but after our experience here we'll be trying a lot more. The hotel is perfectly situated near town and the highways. Easy to find. Gracious, helpful, & accommodating hosts. The shower could be larger, but it might be in other rooms. It was big enough to do the job, and seemed common for the area, just used to our large shower at home in AZ.
Bed and shower were very good, decor was very smart, breakfast was excellent Its a Bed & Breakfast joint, not a hotel - therefore misadvertised and extremely expensive at 115 per night room rate, no evening meal available
Fantastic view looking out over the bay from my room. Very reasonable rate and good breakfast. It is only 5 to 10 min walk from the ferry terminal and bus station as well. Communal downstairs loo needed fixing.
Friendly welcome, good service , excellent breakfast. Noisy plumbing.
Great staff and cleanness of building n/A
close to where i was working and easy access to ferry terminal communal bathroom
location is great, very picturesque and owner is very pleasant It is not a hotel, it is a bed and breakfast. Bds were not too comfortable and linens scratchy. Way overpriced compared to six other places we stayed, hotels from Glasgow to the Isle of Skye, Harris and Lewis.
Good staff. restaurant very good Run down and worn out
Watch out for beds not being level because of the floors not being level. Staff quickly changed our room when we complained.
The quality of the staff, the size & comfort of the room - and did I mention the quality of the staff?
Really friendly staff, great views, nicely refurbished rooms.
Stayed on business and the staff could not have been more helpfull. the food was excellent, first class. Thanks to all and i would stay again.
Romm was warm , clean and comfortable. Staff were exceptionaly helpful, pleasant and friendly. Bearing in mind the price the room T.V. should be of better standard, eg set top box or satelite.
Location and staff.
Clean room, breakfast excellent Very basic, no lounge to sit in.
The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent
Excellent food. Very welcoming reception
beautiful rooms and location, breakfast excellent Only do evening meals on 4 nights unfortunately for us we were there on one of the nights they didn't do dinner. Would have been better if we had known this prior to the visit as we had hoped to eat there and we might have changed the day we arrived.
The attention to detail and the unexpected extras
The hosts Ian and Marion have thought of everything and are very helpful. They even made us lovely sandwiches and fruit for our breakfast as we had to get up early for the ferry. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Exceptional facilities. Friendly hosts and excellent food
Everything I have to say is positive. Great accommodations! Great location. Wonderful hosts. Wonderful food. There were no bad points!
Friendly, excellent accommodation and food. All the facilities you could want and more.
Every possible luxury in the bedrooms, very welcoming owners, well equipped lounge and fantastic food which was far and away the best value for money we found in the Hebrides. And the location is fabulous, with a glorious sandy beach a 2 minute walk away None
I stayed at the Guesthouse for 5 days. It is quite pleasant and very centrally located; very easy walking to anything in Stornoway and the HebCelt Festival entrance was only 2 1/2 blocks away. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was good and included the famous Stornoway Black Pudding by Charles Macleod Some might find the rooms a little small. For me, they were fine, as my plan was to be out-and-about most of the time.
