overall speaking, it's a nice hotel in Sihanoukville. just a little far from downtown. but can rent a motor from hotel 15 usd a day. the beach open for local people and it's not clean
Good pool and beach. Food very poor. The food was poor and expensive and the hotel was remote from other restaurants.
Staff was friendly and the reception/welcome was very good. Beach was very nice. Expensive internet that did not work the first night. The location is isolated from the rest of the movement. Staff was unhelpful in accomodating request. Breakfast lacked both freshly squized juice and fresh bread. Really not value for money compared to much cheaper and equally comfortable alternatives.
The Independance Hotel has a taste of wild nature, on a hill planted with big and old trees facing the sea. Most of the rooms have a unique open view to the wide immensity of the ocean ; there is a clean private beach, a nice seaside restaurant, and the staff is great. The rooms design is elegant, bathroom equipement are high quality. The staff is smart and dilligent. It is definitely the best and most valuable place to stay in Sihanoukville.
The hotel has a private beach which is really lovely and a big swimming pool. The deluxe rooms have a great view of the sea. The staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast is huge and they don't try and push you out the door at 10.30am. The bed was very hard, the service was very slow in the restaurants and pool bar and there was an unpleasant smell from the drain in our bathroom. The communal hallways and reception are not airconditioned but this did not bother us too much.
The picture of hotel looked great but only building outside looks a like 3 star hotel but nothing else. Room was not small and breakfast buffet was not worthy.
Nice property with a great pool and only a couple minute walk from Ocheuteal Beach and a row of good, inexpensive restaurants. Excellent buffet breakfast. Pleasant staff. Rooms feel a little dated but still nice.
