Friendly staff, very clean, lovely rooms, excellent location. Loved the rooftop pool and the pool staff!
The hotel was central to all the places of interest. We did not need to use the car during our visit. The hotel staff were very helpful with the garage parking. Even though the breakfast was very substantial the price would be prohibitive to those with families
trhe pool terrace, the location, the friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and the late checkout as requested
the roof top pool was vvvvery nice and a great hiatus from the hot bussel of the sevilla streets. i wish that there was a bar there though. the staff was sort of gruffily helpful and not all that friendly.
The location was great and the staff was very friendly. We also really liked all the hotel facilities, especially the swimming pool.
It was so close to city centre. So there was no problem for us to reach where we wanted soon. Hotel staff was good enough. Although it was difficult to find people who know English even in hotels in Spain, we faced no problem about communication.
the rooms and bathroom don't have enough storage space,no hooks in the bathroom,it is OK for 1-2 nights, but not practical for a longer stay
The hotel is an excellent mixture of old European elegance and very modern updates. The bed was luxurious, the bath was gorgeous marble, the room spacious and the balcony overlooked the cobblestone street. The WIfi worked well. It is centrally located with easy walking access to upscale shopping, Flamenco, the Cathedral, etc. Breakfast was too pricey at 18 Euro when there is an abundance of cafes in the adjacent plaza.
The location is very good
10 minute walk to city center To get into the city center you have to cross a narrow busy road
Excellent location and trendy hotel. Perfect both on convenience, and services. Nice terrazzo bar
very central, lovely hotel, staff a little too formal on arrival - but that is a bit petty because they were lovely.
An exceptional hotel: staff, rooms, pool, location, bar. Everything. You can't go wrong with this place.
location is great, great roof terrace the room with the shower and the toilet inside smelled a lot. no flexibility from hotel staff to change rooms. highlight was that I need to depart 2 days earlier than planned and they refused to pay back the money...although I had to stay in a room with less comfort and that smell. very unpleasant manager too. poor poor behaviour!
best location possible wiew on internal patio
Location fantastic - we paid extra for superior rooms with views which was worth while. Rooftop area with pool and view was great. Breakfast very good Service was sometimes very slow. It took nearly two hours for the staff to retrieve our car one morning which was incredibly frustrating as we had planned a trip out of Seville. Bar service was also slow and often the orders were forgotten completely
the hotel design
design, facilities smell
I liked the location because it was right where the action was. It was old but it was not nicely renovated. The rooms especially the floors appeared untidy and unclean, the old pipes were showing. . Overall, the atmosphere gave me an icky feeling. The walls were very thin, you could here shouting outside till the wee hours of the morning and you can here the very minute noise from the other guests inside the hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable andthe pillows were a joke, very thin overused and flat.
Hotel valet vaused significant damage to car while parking it and did not tell us
location was excellent right beside everything so need for taxis. Views from roof terrace spectacular. Rooms very small and lacking wardrobe space. Bit of a smell of drains in rooms too. Drinks very expensive in hotel bars. Breakfast nice but repetitive.
Hotel Alponso XIII is an amazing Hotel, very nice staf, excelent location in the center of sevilla. The room in which i stayd (grand deluxe) is great, very spacious en luxury. To pay euro 50,- for a simple breakfast is a bid much for what you get.
The Alfonso X111 is in a fantastic location right in the real heart of Seville. Other than the high cost, the Hotel was faultless, quiet, comfortable, good service etc. The decoration and history make it unique. The high cost per night means for a special occasion its fantastic but for seeing Seville there are better value hotels avaliable. Money no object - stay at the Alfonso X111
swimming pool in centre of city, beautiful setting, very friendly and helpful staff
Loved the location and the rooms as well as the overall ambience of the hotel. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Internet service in the room did not work
excellent breakfast. Very efficient staff. very good location bath took about 20 minutes to run
they didn't charge me for the internet
excellent service, beautifull hotel everything was perfect! very diffficult to find when you drive into Sevilla as there is a one way system, and very poor indications!
The standard of service, location and general facilities were fantastic Sometimes they did not do an evening bed turn down
Good location and very nice old hotel. The man in the reception wondered if I can bring may bags to the room by my self. No problem, but for a 5 stars hotel this is not a question.
The ambience of the hotel overall and the quality of the staff. Road noise in the room and slightly ineffective aircon.
An amazing collection of buildings grouped together to form the hotel, just finding your way to and from reception to your room was an adventure! Wandering through the little courtyards and passages was fun. The rooms were comfortable with lovely bathrooms and showers. We did not have rooms in the Patio de San Clemente as the booking said, but by the time we realised we felt it was too late to complain or to ask to move. If we had been staying more than two nights we might have done so. We felt they should offer a map of the hotel and Seville without having to be asked to do so. If they had we would have realised the mistake earlier.
The collection of buildings is beautiful and charming and the staff was very helpful after our initial problem with getting us into a nicer room. Well situated in the city. Much more impressive inside than you would expect. Our first room had mildew in the closet. I was bummed because we lost the spa tub, but they upgraded us to a suite as soon as we pointed out the issue.
We liked very much the spirit of this hotel - you get a much better feeling of the traditional Sevillan residences than staying in a standard hotel with rooms in row in a corridor. In this hotel even finding your room on your own after the staff has once shown the way is a pleasant exercise - you pass different patios with fountains, climb stairs and follow winding pathways. The room we had was beautifully furnished and the bath very comfortable. Our dinner in the hotel restaurant was less spectacular. The restaurant is beautiful, but the food was not to the standard one would expect.
An atmospheric hotel made up of four old interlinked houses. The restaurant in the basement could be entered through a warren of tunnels.
It is a very charming hotel in the middle of Sevilla, most friendly staff, clean. More like a 5-star hotel. The loudliness, in our room you heard all the noises from other bathrooms, outside work etc.
Lovely ambience (common areas and bedroom), excellent location, helpful staff. Spacious bedroom and good views. Nice bathroom but tight in some areas. Good choice of breakfast, but quality of some items left a bit to be desired.
Everything was great. The staff were very friendly, the decor was beautiful and definitely set up a romantic feel, made you feel like you were in another era.
This was a wonderful hotel with a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel!
Great location, fascinating grounds, helpful staff.
very comfortable and clean
I loved everything about this hotel. The location is wonderful. It's not in the center of the hustle and bustle but very close, only a few minute walk. It's nice and quiet at night. The hotel itself is stunning, so romantic & charming. The hotel is a maze - be patient it could take you 45 to find your room but it's worth the adventure. It's a very charming hotel that hasn't been updated in a big way in a long time so if you're looking for something NEW this is not the place for you. If you like character & tranquility you'll love this spot. I don't have anything negative to say but there are a few things I wish I knew before I booked because for some people these could be deal breakers. If you have mobility issues or can't climb stairs easily this is NOT the place for you. I mentioned the place is like a maze, which I loved but when I had 8 bags (2 weeks worth of luggage for travel around Spain) and couldn't find my room for 45 min. There is no rhyme or reason to the layout of this place so some rooms are up around winding hallways and hidden passage ways & there are no signs. Not handicap friendly! The other thing is that there is only wifi in the one common area lobby - so if you need to work or don't feel like splurging on an international data plan, you'll be disconnected for most of your stay as a lot of surround places don't have wifi either.
Decor and architecture Friendly staff Breakfast quality Small room Somewhat difficult to navigate
Situation; Very Helpful staff at desk; reasonably quiet ;International news papers in lounge; No ;
Location was ideal, bur difficult to find. Hotel room was dirty. Restaurant although pretty was smelly and breakfast was so bad we walked out. Service, or acknowledgement of our presence in the reastaurant was non existent. Valet parking put dents in our car which luckily we were not charged for.
very friendly staff and very good location all ok
The hotel is in an excellent location being very close to the cathedral & other attractions. The staff were efficient but not at all friendly.
The location is perfect and not noisy despite being in the centre. I appreciated the free internet and daily newspapers available for guets in the reception area. In-room safes require keys from reception. I would like to see these replaced with the more modern electronic safes that are now widely used by hotels.
Location. , staff, pool Air conditioning. Very. Minimal. Needs updating.
Loved the roof top pool, also the location was second to none
the location is great but everything else was tired and old-fashioned. walls were very thin - perhaps you can't do much with old palazzi
The location is excellent for visiting the Cathedral and Alcazar. The staff is very helpful . The hotel itself is very attractive and the rooms are quite spacious.
position of hotel We requested balconies at time of booking . Told non available only on arrival . First bedroom stank of sewerage so changed room . Second room had 2 singles instead of double and was on street level with bars at the window . The air-con did not work and nor did the mini bar so I had to have the window open all night which was very noisy and smelly as dogs were soiling the street . The next morning we changed room for the second time and it was just about satisfactory even though we still had 2 singles , no balcony and no view .
Excellent location!! Nothing.
Location location location. Right next to the cathedral and tower. All the sites are extremely walkable. No parking, do not use your navigation to get there because you will get your car stuck. The police basically helped me get my car out and used walking path ways to get out of there and into a public parking lot. A/C was horrible, and when we went downstairs to the front desk they told us they will check it and when we came back they said it's normal. The room was way too hot for normal
Bar area not very inviting.
The location, the staff were really helpful, the room was exactly as shown in photo, really warm and quiet at most times. during our last night there, the hotel maid was tidying the room upstairs making too much noise(at around 3:00)
Hotel is centrally located and within short walking distance of all major attractions The cost of the hotel parking was a bit excessive
This was a great location for the Cathedral and Alcazabra. Hard to find Hotel. Recommend a taxi. About 10 steps to reach reception, but then there was an elevator to the rooms.
I like the wifi signal in the room was great, great decoration and furniture, comfortable bed, good location. The lighting in the room was too dark, heard some noise at nighttime.
Proximity to the old city and restaurants. Hotel staff all spoke english and were very welcoming and always ready to please. Hotel is new and very clean. Breakfast Buffet: Only one person working at the buffet, and the hotel was very slow to replenish. TV: Hotel lacked the ability to choose langauge of channels (such as in Barcelona and Cordoba)
Convenience to Old Town Seville, staff helpful with dinner reservations as wall as excursions and directions, modern, quiet, comfortable, sophisticated room
location the beds
location smaky non smoking room, poor internet
I was able to change my room without fuss. The staff were always ready to help. The room was spacious (S14) the bathroom was spacious, it is near the lift. No problem getting extra pillows. View of square. Opening doors onto small balconies x 2. Minibar fridge (useful) Daily change of towels. Flat screen TV. Positioned very conveniently for walking to all landmarks. Half price through booking.com. Hotel parking very convenient. The position of this hotel outweighs any of the following dislikes and the fact that it has parking garage. All renovations seem to be completed AC was either on or off it must be centrally regulated and was very hot, no bath robes/complimentary water (as advertised on other site) pool was closed. Could hear chairs being moved and people walking about as floors are all tiled and no rugs. Could be noisy early morning with the dust cart collection especially as had to have windows open because the room was too hot. Had noise of AC from other room, like an engine running all the time. Parking at hotel is expensive. Hotel difficult to find by car, we had to pay to follow a taxi! NO tea and coffee making facilities. Not enough portable tourist information ie maps leaflets etc. Hotel didn't answer emails.
The staff was the best. It was very difficult to find.
The location and staff were superb. The hotel was very beautiful. Excellent breakfasts. Very fresh food. Would stay here again. I would like to have control of the temperature of the room. The climate control was set at 23 degrees. I like it a little warmer when I take a shower.
The afternoon tea time is very nice. They provide coffee, tea, some fruits, some snacks and soft drinks. Do utilize those snacks since the food are pretty expensive there. The standard room is too small. There is barely space to walk and turn. We have a queen bed and very small room. The room temp. is centrally controlled and is really hot and not way to open the window.
The decor of the hotel is amazing. Great helpful staff especially patricia.
The location is excellent and the staff were extremely friendly and responsive to all our needs. The room is well appointed and comfortable. There are many great restaurants located very close and shopping only a stones through away. The major tourist sites are all right there just outside the front door. I would not recommend driving. Tight little streets and probably tough to find. Not impossible, just tough. The rooms are on the small side.
Clean and nice bath. Good staff who can speak English. Good location... Nothing special.
I loved the decor of the room and the view was amazing!! The staff was always eager to assist us with anything we needed. The room was pretty small. Not enought storage.
absolut the newest, surely best located , probable the prettiest hotel in sevilla !
The staff was excellent and quickly responded to any request. Couldn't have asked for a better central location in the heart of things to do. Being brand new they had some kinks to work out but it was definitely the nicest place we stayed in 20 days in Spain. The breakfast buffet was smaller but the food was good and changed daily. The rooms were very tastefully done and inviting!!
Location was on a little alleyway near the Seville cathedral which was very convenient -- and since it was off the main street, the room was also mainly quiet at night. My room itself was a little small but suited me just fine and was quite comfortable and totally clean and updated. The staff were also very friendly and helpful which was greatly appreciated!
Quiet, good-sized room Excellent location Friendly reception staff Outside terrace Room very dark
The location of the hotel is fantastic, on a quiet street round the corner from the Cathedral. The hotel design is cool and modern and the room is really well equipped and chic and comfortable with a huge bathroom. Helpful friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again. The pool didn't seem to be open but then again it was October. Rooms could do with a bit of extra lighting.
The location was faultless. A lovely quiet street but so close to everything you want to see. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic 4 days For the price it would have been nice to have had a few more toiletry items- shower cap, tissues etc.
Ambience was fantastic, the location was 2nd to none. The facilities are superb and it was a very wonderful design(er) hotel, pleasing to the eye and senses. And yes; a view of La Giralda to die for.
very close to quaint and historic tapas area and cathedral, but not soclose to be bothered by late night life. Room updated and beautiful When we first entered there was a strong scent of candles or perfume, possibly covering up an odor that later dissipated
the new hotel has updated and modern design, the location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping and dining. try to avoid the rooms facing the central lobby which noise can be heard clearly.
The location of the hotel was excellent. It gave easy access to the old town and the numerous bars/restaurants. Its appearance was chic and it had a unique style. The bar was not always available from 4.30pm and closed early in the evenings which was a shame as the views from the terrace are stunning. It would be better if another bar were located off the main foyer as it would enable guests to socialise at the end of an evening Breakfast price was expensive
Excellent reactivity of the staff
Beautifully decorated, clean, cosy and really central - right in the middle of old Seville but not too central that the bars and clubs caused any disturbance. It seemed like all the drains from all the other rooms passed through our room, so the sound of running water was persistant - almost all night.
We loved the Hotel Amadeus - esp the interesting musical decor. The rooftop terrace for breakfast is a must (or pre dinner drinks); great views of Seville Cathedral and the Santa Cruz area. Very helpful and attentive staff. We had a delightful stay in an amazing city.
Excellent staff, laptop in room with wifi.Very clean , great location
Hotel with lots of character in good location with very polite and helpful staff
The lobby and theme of this hotel was lovely. The lobby was comfortable and the musical instruments was great.
The staff was wonderful, access to coffee 24/7 was delightful. Our room was tiny. The other rooms in the hotel were much bigger. I am not sure why we were put in such a small space, particularly since we were booked for 6 days.
The breakfast on the roof terrace was a highlight as a result of the wonderful view over Seville in the morning, with barely any noise from the surrounding city. The area around the hotel was wonderfully atmospheric, and the reception area was beautiful. We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough
The central location, the very helpful staff and the interior with its music theme - so unusual and so friendly. Our room was small but adequate and worth it for the other benefits.
The staff was like family. The showers were great. The location was perfect. The free laptops for internet were appreciated. The rooftop breakfast was special. Rooms were really small, and ours was not electrically equipped to handle the tv, air-conditioning, lights and fridge at the same time without tripping the circuit breaker.
The location was perfect for exploring around the city of Seville. The room was very tiny and did not appear to have been properly cleaned - long hairs all over the floor.
Good location - near Alcazar. Good breakfast. Hotel parking expensive and difficult. Fittings, furniture a bit worn.
Staff was very courteous and prompt with requests. They were very responible and friendly. Too much noise from surrounding rooms. We could hear everything.
The staff were very helpful and the hotel's location is excellent. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and only a short walk to the historic centre of Sevilla. Room quite small, but good bathroom.
Good value for money, good location and friendly professional staff
Good location and nice staff
Everything. Most enjoyable stay. Hotel difficult to find from the instructions. No
Lovely friendly helpful staff - especially the maid None at all
Located within 10-mins walk of the Historic Centre, the Real Alcazar and the Cathedral. Rooms comfortable. On a main road but the traffic noise did not really permeate. Parking the car! The garage is in an adjoining building, costs €15 per night and entering & exiting is a nightmare.....unless you have a short wheelbase Smartcar!
perfect located in near the town centre old fashoned rooms, parkintg is 2 streets away from hotel
It's in a good positions for visiting the town.. the staff very nice and friendly
The assistance of the staff was incredibly efficient and everyone was extremely friendly and open to guests enquries and needs. Also the location was perfect--in Santa Cruz bario and close to major transportation.
Fantastic service - the front desk staff were helpful - suggestions on things to do as well as lending us an extra electrical adapter. I would love to stay here again! Our room overlooked a street that was a bit noisy. Otherwise perfect.
My friends and I loved this place! Each room is unique and very comfortable. The staff are charming and most helpful. Light breakfasts, Spanish style, are available, followed by substantial lunches and evening repasts. And the location! Deep within narrow streets (we're talking less than 2m wide) with no vehicle access and thus quieter, plenty of restaurants and tapas bars, and close to the fine flamenco shows at Los Gallos. Within walking distance to Cathedral and La Giralda, Plaza de Espana, the fascinating Museo Arqueologico, Parque Maria Luisa, and numerous other wonderful places. No criticism, but just to prepare tourists (particularly American) for some differences that might upset them if they are unaware: The streets in Santa Cruz are mostly winding alley-type affairs, so that your taxi (or rental car) will not be able to drop you off anywhere near the entrance. Bring only luggage with wheels. Always carry a city map. Sevillanos are friendly and helpful, but few speak good enough English to set you straight verbally--but pointing to a map works. Give yourself time to "bungle" your way through--it will let you see delightful streets and shops you might never have encountered otherwise. Relax and enjoy--Sevilla is a jewel beyond compare!
Perfect location for easy access to local sights and restaurants. The room was very attractive with the most comfortable bed on our trip! Useful to have free access to internet for all guests. Very noisy from nearby bar and rubbish collection in the night.Stressful searching for the hotel when driving into the area- advice is don't have a car! Once again quite expensive to pay for public car park for 2 nights.
Perfect hotel!! Great and helpful staffs! Clean and cute room !!! Nice patio ! Hard to find their hotel ! I lost 2 times .
Loved this hotel. Staff was great, friendly, helpful, professional. Great location close to everything. Highly recommend it.
Very good location, confortable rooms and pleasant decoration, kindness and effectveness of the staff. Especially the breakfast, quite mediocre(although it was included in the price of the room). I w'd prefer pay for it and have better meal.
Friendliness and competence of staff, items provided in bathroom and room good and renewed each day. Comfortable bed and good food. Instructions & map for finding hotel could have been clearer.
Some of the service was great. The room was tiny, also we booked a double but had two single beds pushed together. When we spoke to reception about it we were told that there were no doubles in the whole hotel, however subsequently found out there were. Not good.
It´s position, service. Everything excelent.
The night reception person, Salwa went out of her way to help us with a problem concerning clothing left at a previously stayed at hotel. Our room was right on the passage way so it was often noisy but it was close to sites.
Great location. Right in the middle of the Santa Cruz district within walking distance to everything. Sant Cruz area is georgeous. AC was turned off while out and blows right on bed when on. Food at the restaurants in the area was mediocre and over priced.
The front desk was uniformly very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic for exploring the city. The rooms are bit on the small side. Some tea/coffee-making facilities would have been welcome.
The receptionist that helped us when we arrived was excellent and really welcoming. We got upgraded to a small apartment with a private roof terrace and a view out onto one of the squares of Santa Cruz. The entrance to the apartments was a bit unpleasant.
I loved it here everything was in easy reach and it was quaint and the rooms were very spacious and spottlesly clean, the freedom to go where we wanted without being to far away. It would of been nice to have an english news channel on the tv
I loved the location for this hotel, right in the heart of the old city, and next to the Cathedral. The decor was superb, very authentic, and the amount of rooms in the hotel was perfect, making it very cosy indeed. The only thing I disliked about the hotel was the breakfast - it was the same every day - fruit, ham and bread - no cheese. The bread was always the same white for toast and white rolls. I would have liked to have seen more variety, especially in the bread.
