It was very central with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Also very near the beach, with some good walks around. There was not parking. We had to park in one of the car parks which if you left your car there all day for the length of your stay, it turned out to be expensive.
Very good situation, price included breakfast. Unfortunately very noisy during the evening (it was in August).
The location was good and everywhere was very clean. The beds were to small and very uncomfortable. Shower unit was too small.
The room was very nice, modern and stylish. Very clean and comfortable. Large bathroom. Free mineral water. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was very noisey - partygoers out until dawn and the noisiest bin collectors ever start work at 4am. It was a festival weekend so worse than usual. Breakfast was one piece of toast,a piece of cake, one coffee and one orange juice. Whilst breakfast is not a big deal in Spain for 146 euros a night I would at least have expected to be offerred a second cup of coffee.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and modern. Top location and great value for money. Will go back again.
Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Good water pressure and hot water!!! Perfect location. Could be noise in the morning if people arrive/leave early. Breakfast was a slice of toast.
excellent location, rooms were clean and staff very nice very small room with just one small windown
Excellent location, very helpful staff, rooms nice and clean, definitely stay at this pension again.
Clean room with balcony in pretty old town. Friendly and helpful staff. Free tea!
Chic design, comfortable beds, very clean great location in heart of old city A challenge to find it, no Reception there permanantly. Had to ring the number for someone to come and let us in.
The pension is very well located in the old town, but not on one of the main streets where the noise at night may be a problem. The rooms are clean and modern and the owner gave us great assistanace in directing us to good local restaurants and other attractions. There was no problem in extending our stay for an additional night beyond our original booking. I would highly recommennd this pension. No
Modern, comfortable, large apartment in a beautiful old building. Wonderful decor. Great location. Very central but still quiet. Charming hosts. No lift, but it was worth climbing up the stairs to get there (and hosts insisted on carrying our bags). Reception was not always staffed, but we had a mobile number to reach them if necessary.
Excellent location and very clean and modern rooms.
Staff is wonderful. Speaks fluent english and gives great advice
We felt like we were walking into a spa! The lobby is very small and intimate, so we were a bit concerned about going to our room, but then we opened the door to a very spacious room with 2 balconies overlooking the Parte Vieja streets. We were thrilled! The elevator to the building was not in service; however, the hotel shares it with others in the building, so it wasn't their fault. Luckily it's on the second floor so we didn't have to carry our bags too far up the stairs!
Location and staff..very friendly and helpful Stairs to get to room
The location was great--very close to some great walks in a great city. The room was very bright and cheerful with a little balcony looking down on the street below. The staff was very helpful and friendly, speaking good English. Great experience!
Pension Koxka was located right in the center of the old town, which was great for us. Some people may find the noise from the bars below to be too much, we didn't mind. Room was super clean, and comfy! Beatriz and Juan Carlos were amazing, they really tended to our needs! They even had a laundry service, so they did our laundry for 10 euro. I would highly recommend this pension. If I were to go back, I would definitely stay here again!! No refrigerator, a refrigerator would have made the stay better, but i still give this pension 5 stars!
The hotel, which should be called b&b is well located. I always expect that hotels reserved through Booking.Com meet some standard comfort and facilities, but this hotel did not meet even the most forgiving standards. There is no advice that you must call the manager by phone at arrival, nor that you will need to take your luggage two floors up without an elevator. There are other options in San Sebastian, so avoid this place, especially if you are driving, parking is a miracle.
The location is central and the manager (the only staff member I think there is) very helpful It is hardly describable as a hotel - just 2-3 rooms in a block, 2 floors up and no lift. I had heavy baggage, and was reliant on the manager to carry it. "Breakfast" (the most basic imaginable) is served in the room - there is no dining room.
Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Good size room right in the centre of the old town for an excellent rate. Very noisy outside as you are right in the middle of the party district.
Fantastic location and great room. Would certainly go back.
The room was very clean and the bathroom was good sized and also very clean. Easy to find and good location. Be aware that the reception isn't open all the time and you should let them know when you're going to arrive. The other thing to note is that the lady that runs it doesnt speak a word of English... mind you we didnt speak a word of Spanish either.
The only good thing about this place is it's location.
Friendly staff, clean and presentable. Noisy neighbourhood.
Good location, clean, and friendly service. We opted for our own bathroom. It is location within a building and sort of like a large converted apartment turned into a guesthouse. Still we felt our room was private and not much noise from the other guests. We were in room 1 with the bathroom, so it was at the far end of the hall which was nice, and there were two doors before you reached the bedroom which made it quieter. There is a school playground outside the window so this may disturb some people if they plan to sleep very late- like into the afternoon. Not a problem for us though.
it rained all weekend so it was nice to have a cosy room and a comfortable bed to lie on and watch TV or read. there is a bar/night club next door and it was very noisy until the early hours of Sunday morning. We could also hear other people within the building itself. This is not a complaint just a general observation.
Clean room and hall ways, bathroom well kept despite shared. The in keeper was super nice None
Location was good. Not user friendly when coming through the main door to come upstairs. the lights were not working. the bathroom ws very clean when we arrived, however the following day was in need of a good clean
