The most convienient aspect for us at this hotel is the close proximity to the Port Aventura Park.
Hotel very dated, needs updating decor wise. We stayed in the older block which is a bit grim, the newer block may be fresher and not so run down. The breakfast was not great, it was included in our stay but we didn't bother after the first experience.

Good value for money, the staff is friendly and helpful. The food was ok: the food was some kind of spanglish mixture and there was plenty of it.
Drinks for kids (soft drinks, juice, etc.) were more expensive than glass of wine or beer!

The only thing we liked was the outside resturant and could only eat their once !!!!! as it was by invitation only.
One pool was filthy so bad my 9 yr old went in and straight back out never went back to the pool. The airconditioning in the room was so dirty we had to clean the vent to feel anything. I worked in Med Playa many yrs ago, in Benidorm and am sorry to say The Hotel Calypso gives them a bad name. We will never go back to Salou it was not for us.
