Location Breakfast is not included in the room rate
Unbeatable location, just off Nevskij Prospect, close to Hermitage and the river. We stayed in a standard room which was quite stuffy, it had a window but not one that could be opened so zero air and the room was sauna hot. When you stay in a standard room you also don't get access to their sauna/jacuzzi - just in the morning until 11am - after that it's only accessible to guests staying in higher room categories so if anyone is thinking of staying here avoid the standard room and get the deluxe room.
hotel's location is great. staff is anglophone and willing to help. room was large and clean. walls were very thin; we could here people next door talking. window of our room was up high and sealed so we neither could have fresh air nor see any view.
Comfort and the place where it situated
Rooms were spacious!!! Very nice rooms! Was very bad service in breakfast! Much too expensive, better to eat someplace outside for better price and better quality!
The location is good. very close to all the museums. This hotel got 4* name obviously because os bribe. Otherwise I do not understand how this hotel can be considered as 4*. Maximum 3*. The rooms are tiny and dark, room service starts cleaning the room at 7.30-8.00 what I find absolutely ridiculous especially on weekends when guests are sleeping. Room service was very noisy disturbing hotel guests resting in the room.
The location of this hotel is simply outstanding, a minute walk from Nevsky Prospect and five minutes from Admiralty/Winter Palace/Hermitage. Wonderful location, without a doubt the best part of staying here, however the hotel itself is a warm and comforting hotel as well, with an amazing Sky Bar on the 7th floor looking out over St. Petersburg. Very conveniently you can order taxis through the concierge service and they will charge this to your room bill so you don't have to worry about stumping up cash when you need to head to the station or back to the aiport. However their fares are much higher than standard city taxis. As a comparison it cost us 700 RUB from the airport (17km) and 800 RUB from the hotel to the station (5 mins!). Much more convenient, however much more pricey.
Walls very thin not enough electric points for shavers/mobile phones
The position of the hotel is excellent, some of the personnel was very friendly and tried to help, the tours organised by the concierge desk were excellent. The rooms are rather noisy. We could clearly hear the guest in the adjacent room. Cleanness of the rooms was fine, but could be improved.
Location was fantastic. Nice and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Although very good hotel, a bit expensive. And breakfast was not included...
Location is very central to Saint Petersburg, all around appearance is pleasant, nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast is not included in room rates, Internet is charged extra and is expensive. For the price of the room you would expect a bit more
Excellent location. The staff is not well-trained. The room does not worth such a huge price. Internet is very expensive. The interior looks cheap. There were no bathrobes (5* hotel).
On arrival we were upgraded to an apartment room with a huge bedroom! That was really nice, breakfast is really good, the choice is very wide, although the variety of food could be more different everyday, but still this hotel a good value for money. Hotel is situated not close to the metro station, nearest is about 10 min walk. It was my 4th time staying in Azimut and i will go there again, because its the cheapest good accomodation in the city with good breakfast and friendly staff. If you have more money, kindly advise you to book Business room, Comfort room is more simple and furniture is different. Bathrooms must be upgraded.
The breakfast Hot water is brown! No air conditioner.
Breakfast Not clean water
Availability of WIFI Inadequate lighting in the room and non availability of fridge.
Good rooms, good location, nice restrant I thing bath is to old - from soviet union time
Everything is ok!
Nothing Comfort rooms are not in the main new building but in the old one (4story offices building, very old, scuffed, maximum no stars at all). Awful spring bed. Yellow water in the bathroom. No WiFi at all. The worst I've ever seen...
breakfast, restaurant small room and bathroom
Good value for money hotel. Breakfast buffet has enough choice and flexible hours. It was very busy, as there are always busses passing through as well.
Rather nice Sky bar on the 17th floor. There is some smell on the first floor and red carpets.
I liked everything but the price. breakfast was too expensive.
superb interior and comfort nothing I suppose
Nice Finnsih quality Hotel
Nice hotel, not far from the city center. Probably too expensive without special offers. At least breakfast is 3-4 times expensive than in cafes 3 mins away. Rooms are neat and furniture is new. Ask for a room on the highest floor to enjoy the beautiful view - Sokos appeared to be one of the highest buildings in the area
The bed and spa The location!
The dining facilities were convenient and well presented with pleasant and helpful staff. Ambience good. The sink in the bathroom did not drain well so it was hard to get any hot water to shave.
My room (on the 7th floor) was quiet, had an opening window and was not too hot. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well. As my stay was during 'White Nights', the thick curtains were appreciated! Room fittings are tasteful and high quality. The spacious 'Provencal' style restaurant/bar area is relaxed and cosy - good selection of tasty dishes to suit all appetites and... No complaints!
I liked the design of the restaurant, especially the fireplace. The food was excellent. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only small minus, not all menu dishes were available.
Wireless internet included in price. Good breakfast. Good air conditioning of the room. Good bed. They have to include price of the breakfast in the price. Lack of TV programs.
My family stayed there for one week. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located close to the Metro, just two stops from the Nevksy Prospect. You can get to Nevskly Prospect in 15-20 minutes by metro or in about 45 minutes by walking. The hotel staff was very helpful and they talked good english. The room was very clean and spacious. Compared to other hotels in St Petersburg, this was reasonably priced. The free wireless access was very convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was quite expensive, so we ended up not getting it.
It's the 4 Seasons)) This is an odd criticism I know, but Russia can be cold and sometimes it's nice to stay in and watch a movie. I had never heard of the movies available for rent (they all looked pretty bad) so I looked them up. The reviews of most were like 'basically unwatchable' and not one of them was a movie that anyone would actually want to watch. They were all made in English, which I also thought was unusual.
I rarely repeat a restaurant during a vacation trip . The Alain Ducasse resturant housed in this electic ,hip hotel is truly fantastic... decor is spif, breads fantastic, great drinks list... food : nearly as good as the Duchasse in the Dorchester in London, one of the world's great restaurants. The GM of this resturant was recently promoted to hotel GM; if i had a trip to Russia ; i'd visit this hotel just to see him in action .
breakfast is not include to room rate
Large but nice hotel in a quite place not far from city center, good for city travelers, friendly staff, beer restaurant with football translations near lobby, nice quite rooms with internet, tea/coffe set, iron etc. Breakfast is too expensive even for 4-star hotel
Clean, new, comfortable room and shower.
Friendly staff, comfortable room Location - taxi is the only way to get our, breakfast, wi-fi doesn't really work anywhere in the hotel
The kindness of the staff. Location and rooms. Too expensive breakfast.
wifi It remind me USSR a little. First when I made pre-call to the hotel before booking asking if there were air-conditioning system in the room they told me, yes, off course. But when I came into the room after I paid I realized there was only ventilator ))). Thanks God, I needed to be there only one day, otherwise I had to find some other location. Second thing was in the restaurant in the menu only few dishes were available to be served others were out of order ))) The whole atmosphere is more or less ok, but smells USSR a lot!!!!! I don't recomend it!!!
high transportation service
Pleasant people at the reception. Quite convenient location -right nearby Usupov palace not far from centre. Quiet rooms with comfortable matress. Clean. Perfect view from restorant at atrium(where the breakfast is served). Pool. No
The hotel and the staff was very pleasant and nice!!Very attentive and punctual! No
Very nice reception area. Good for business travel, located very close to the main transportation artery of teh city - interconnection of 3 tube lines makes it easy to go anyway very thin walls, I could hear my neighbour using hairdrier every morning as well as hotel event that was held 2 floors above me
Centrally located. Never again... Internet connection very complicated, almost possible only from Hotel's business center. Airconditioning on in a freezing room with outside temperatures of 15o C.
Everything was fine Breakfast too expensive.
The hotel staff were very attentive, punctual, nice, pleasant!!!! No
Good and correct English speaking staff. All the facilities are there. The souvenir shop is excellent. 15 minutes to Mariinsky theatre. Have to walk to city centre 5 - 20 minutes. 20 min to Hermitage and to the water front. 20 min to Nevsky Prospect. But did not bother us. The taxi fare to Airport is double the regular price. The breakfast extra charge is way un proprtional. Had a better breakfast outside for 1/4 price
The room was great, the bed is very comfortable. The view at the restaurant on the top of the building is so unique and amazing. Location is good as well... St.Isaac Cathedral is 5-7 min. walk as well as Mariinsky theatre.
The food in the evening was not good at all. They charge extra for using the swimming pool at certain hours. Extra charge for internet.
Everything was great. Nothing.
The staff is very friendly and always there to help. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The room is large and the bathroom quite nice with good soap products. The location is quite good.
comfortably, delicate staff oldfashion TV
Pleasent staff, friendly atmosphere, comfortable beds, reasonably good location. It is a very good hotel, but not a 5* as clasified by the site. More of a 4* delux.
Location is excellent, very close to major tourist attractions in St. Petersburg. Access to the hotel is wide street hence feels safe. There is a convenience store just next door so you can buy essentials such as water, or snacks if you don't want to pay for the expensive room services typical of hotels. The breakfast was good quality. The room location was a bit off for me, and the room layout.
It is really super to have a stay in this hotel.Everything is excellent !! If possuble I should give them 12 to 10 instead of 10 to 10. Thank you so much !!!
Very nice location, good service; fantastic cuisine - greating to the chef!. As well very kind personnel
Location excellent, staff willing and informative. Common areas were cold, mainly due to high atrium roof. Lobby and bar lacked atmosphere.
Staff very pleasant. Nice live music in evenings. Clean. Good sauna/gym but not mixed. Fine dining. Well cited for The Hermitage and Neva embankment. No water offered at dining table as routine. No tea/coffee facilities in room. No WiFi in room.
Very good localisation, nice service (generally), nice rooms. Bad/very slow service in bar, additional (high) payments for concierge
Terrace bar and lobby bar were excellent. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Great location. Room very clean and comfortable.
location, reception and lobby bar service
entire staff was very helpful the cost of breakfast , $15, is expensive and not justified
Very romantic and comfortable hotel, good restaurant, very close location to all city historic places. We liked everything and will stay here again when visiting SPB in future.
Great location, short walk to all major attractions. Many excellent, mid-price, restaurants within 2 blocks. Ahtpekot particularly good. They advertise having a swimming pool. That is true, but not in the American sense. They want you to rent the pool/sauna for your private use at $45 an hour.
Great location with easy walking to most of the tourist sites. Very safe neighbourhood, even late at night. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would have been nice to have breakfast included in the rate, even if only a small continental breakfast.
Comfortable room, good service, restaurant at reasonable prices, staff effort to please, very quiet, excellent location
clean and comfortable room. Hotel is situated in the centre but it's very quiet because it's in a court yard. Perfect location near Nevsky prospect and close to Hermitage.
Ease of access, parking, quiet location, freindly staff, good breakfast and felt safe. Lovely big rooms and excellent shower!! Evening meal in resturant was a little disappointing, had some very tough meat!!
