Any travelling can be amazing or a total disaster and it does not only depend on its destination. Another important aspect that has to be considered when planning your trip – is a place where you can stay.
It should be nice and clean, with friendly atmosphere and comfortably located. And we can tell you a little secret – our hostel is exactly such a place. To begin with, it is situated in the very center of beautiful St. Petersburg, so you can get to the most popular places in 5 or 10 minutes! We all know that one of the most popular attractions in Saint-Petersburg is opening bridges, besides there are a lot of beautiful night sights so the doors of our hostel are open for you always, you can come back at any time of day and night!
Accommodation (room types and room facilities)
As the Hostel has altogether 50 beds in 8 rooms, we can also accommodate large groups. We have 10- and 12-bedded dormitories, which are perfect for school groups, sports clubs, choirs, etc. Additionally, we have smaller rooms for group leaders and drivers.
Our 8 spacious and light rooms fill up during the whole year with guests ranging from backpackers to conference visitors. All of our rooms were fully renovated at spring 2015. All prices include sheets and towels.
We also have 4-and 6-bedded dormitories that are only for women, so you can fell comfortable during your stay.
There are bid armoires in each room where you can store your things, windows with amazing view and most importantly – very comfortable beds, because what can possibly be better than have a good rest after a impregnated day?
Common areas, services and activities
Even though central St. Petersburg with its excellent restaurants to suit all budgets is only a short walk away, there is a big shared kitchen with all needed cooking equipment.
Got tired of comfortless showers where you have no privacy? That’s not a problem! Our place has three nice and big bathrooms where you can have some quality time and relax.
Moreover, if you travelling alone you can always find new friends here. It became a tradition among our guests to gather in the large common room and talk, watch TV or just have some rest. However, there will not be any noise in bedrooms, so if you are looking for a quiet place – no reasons to worry, no one will disturb you.
At our common room, you will find vending machines for soft drinks, coffee and snacks, including pasta, soups, juice, chocolate and crisps.
It is easy to post your summer greetings on social media, do some work or make further plans for your holiday and sightseeing in St. Petersburg with an Internet connection. All rooms at Hostel Wings are equipped with wireless Internet access.
Nevky prospect is surely the geart oh the city, so there are a lot of sights around the hostel.

The Hermitage – 2.8 km - museum of art and. One of the largest and oldest museums in the world, it was founded in 1764 by Catherine the Great and has been open to the public since 1852.
St Isaac's Cathedral – 2.6 km - the largest Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city. It is the largest orthodox basilica and the fourth largest cathedral in the world. It is dedicated to Saint Isaac of Dalmatia, a patron saint of Peter the Great, who had been born on the feast day of that saint.
Peter & Paul Fortress- 3.4 km - the original citadel of St. Petersburg, Russia, founded by Peter the Great in 1703 and built to Domenico Trezzini's designs from 1706-1740. In the early 20th century, it was still used as a prison by the tsarist government.
Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood – 1.9 km - one of the main sights of St. Petersburg, Russia. Other names include the Church on Spilt Blood and the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ .
Yusupov Palace – 3.3 km- once the primary residence in St. Petersburg, Russia of the House of Yusupov
Bronze Horseman – 3.0 km - an equestrian statue of Peter the Great in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Commissioned by Catherine the Great, it was created by the French sculptor Étienne Maurice Falconet.
Erarta – 6.8 km - The museum aims to provide every visitor with an opportunity to discover the best works of contemporary art. At present (July 2015), the Erarta collection counts about 2,300 works by more than 250 artists who represent various regions of Russia.
Mariinsky Theatre – 3.6 km - historic theatre of opera and ballet. Opened in 1860, it became the preeminent music theatre of late 19th century Russia, where many of the stage masterpieces of Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov received their premieres.

2. If you want to experience everything by yourself and paying too much for a cad doesn’t seem like a good idea to you, here are our detailed instructions on how to get to our hostel from PULKOVO airport:
On the bus-stop opposite to the hall of arrival you should get a bus No. 39, the bus No. 39A (the express mode without intermediate stops) or a bus-taxi No. 39 and go to the metro station Moskovskaya.
In the subway you reach to metro station Nevsky Prospect (a blue branch, 7 stops), from the car there is an exit on the left to Griboyedov Chanal Embankment or to the right on Mikhaylovskaya Street. The exit on the left to Griboyedov Chanal Embankment is more convenient. The exit to the right on Mikhaylovskaya Street will bring you into a subway, in which it is necessary to orient because from a subway there are some exits upward.
Further on your choice it is possible to reach us by bus or to walk about 10 minutes.
If you decided to choose the bus, and went outside to Griboyedov Chanal Embankment, then you pass to the other side of the street, and on the bus-stop (directly before Kazan Cathedral) you get on the bus 191, 22, 24, 27, 3, 7 and pass 3 stops.
If you decided to choose the bus, and went from subway through the exit conducting on Mikhaylovskaya Street, from a subway rise to Gostiny dvor, and on the bus-stop (directly before Gostiny Dvor) you get on the bus 191, 22, 24, 27, 3, 7 and pass 3 stops.
You leave the bus on the third bus-stop "Liteyny Prospect" at the house with the address Nevsky Prospect, 45 where you also will see a blue sign of "City Bank" and an iron door to the right of it. It is an entrance to the hostel.
If from the subway you decided to walk, then from the subway go on Nevsky Prospect towards increase in numbering. Pay attention that between even and odd numbers on houses there is a strong gap, approximately to 20 houses. Therefore not to be mistaken, cross the street at once as left the subway, and go on the odd party of the street. Anichkov Bridge with horses is a reference point, at once for which there is a house #43, and then #45.
