Very pleasant hotel. Staff friendly, food lovely. No bad points about this hotel
the busy road that kept me up all night
Substantial breakfasts. Quiet room. Cleanliness. Access to wildlife reserve Albufera. A nice balcony. Pleasant poolside. The hotel suited me perfectly.
Fairly priced and well positioned for the things that Alcudia has to offer. Breakfast was value for money. Crazy golf is a crazy price!
Accomodation was very good. Variety and quality of food was good. Everything was very clean. Having to share a table with other guests at mealtimes. There was a weighing scales available for guests who wished to weigh their luggage before going to the Airport, but there was a charge of one Euro for each case/bag.
the hotel was clean and the pool was also well kept. In terms of location it was where i wanted to be, close to the beach and restaurants. I found it to be good value for money. the bar service was a bit slow and often we had to approach them to be served. I would have also welcomed nightly entertainment even if it was a disco with a dj, rather than a laptop with a mix of 80's and 90's songs.
Nice room. Nice balcony. Guiet. Not far from the beach. Very helpful staff Bed not very comfortable. Hard! Little variation on the breakfast buffet.
good service, good value for money sunbeds were taken fast in the morning
Great location, common areas were clean and inviting. Room was very small, had a discusting odour, and there was a very loud noise from the bathroom when other clients flushed their toilets. I think the drainage/sewage pipes ran down the wall adjacent to my bathroom - unacceptable - this room should be a storage room not a bedroom and sleeping was impossible.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast buffet was excellent, for a 3 star hotel I really don't think you could expect any more! We would have preferred a double bed rather than 2 singles pushed together.
Good location, very nice room and excellent breakfast check-in was at 14.00 - a bit to late I think They served leftovers from lunch for dinner :o(
i feel that if you were not on an all inclusive deal that drinks and food were dear with not much variety in your spar shops
quiet and calmness, everything you need you can find around, information and reception services are perfect only one entrance
pool to many from GB
I liked the sea view, the availability of a microwave oven, electric stove, dishware and a fridge, and a proximity to various shops and restaurants. The shower gel in small packets was provided only on the first day, and then we had to purchase it.
Nice area, good pools, and okay entertaiment More information about things at the hotel would be good
The all inklusive care was very good and varied Although pre-consulted on that we have to check out 13 o'clock, at 12 o'clock we had to go with the 2 little children
Room OK, bathroom nice. Lot of shops and pups in the area No aircon in the rooms, a lot of noice from the street in the night (every night), only 2 pools for way too many people.
The pool was good. A lot of noise from the evening entertainment every night
i would recomend this hotel for familys with young children we were a couple and thought at this time of year it would be couples but it was 99 per cent familys with young children i was bitten by mosquitoes which turned infec and i have since been treated with antibiotics for this and the bed bugs couldnt sleep in the bed for scratching
Bahia de Alcudia is a very nice family hotel, with lots of facilities for the family. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. A very nice hotel, and good value for the money. The food was ok, but had the mass production feel to it.
Location of hotel ideal. Reception staff very very helpful and friendlty. Great choice in food options. Pool & surrounding areas incl. gardens excellent. Much appreciated airport pick-up/drop off. Bar area badly serviced during day time from a staff and food point of view. Felt that this hotel is predominently for the German market, we as a family felt very lost for English speaking company.
Hospitality and friendliness of staff.
the air conditioning room was not working for all stay. I asked for the first two nights to solve the problem without success. There was not soap in the room.
the staff were friendly and hotel close to old town and new with plenty of shops and bars etc, rooms were fine for sleeping in nice bathrooms hotel not international did not cater for us british tv all in spanish or german food is for every other nationality apart from british, enterainment was all in german or spanish and not enough seating at the pool or for the enterainment in the evening.we payed for half board but ate out most the time costing more money again was not happy.
The people at the reception were very friendly and helpful. The room/bathroom was nice and clean.
The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel is sorrounded by a beautiful garden with calming features.
the staff were very good. the fact that every tv channel was german! not a single spanish or english one!
Have been to this hotel several times always a good holiday here.
Very close to the beach and to the facilities at Alcudia Port.
The helpfulness of the reception staff and the size of the apartment. The 'gym' was extremely disappointing. I think that calling it a gym is false advertising as the selection of equipment was minimal.
handy for everything, could usually find a parking place, apartment really good with comfortable beds lack of utensils in kitchen - not even a sharp knife or a kettle, sauna was rarely switched on, website promised a hairdryer in every room but there wasnt one
Quiet surroundings , esy shopping, good restauants charges for wireless internetr
Good, adequate apartement for our needs. No
Very impressed by the helpfulness and efficiency of the lady on the front desk. Some extra lighting in the main room would have been helpful - over the table.
Going out the room was pretty dirty, lots of mosquito's
We enjoyed our stay very much, and generally we were pleased with the hotel and its staff and facilities. There is a r-u-l-e set by the hotel that says that blankets must NOT be put on chairs before they are to be used (in order to prevent "pre-booking"). However, this rule was not followed by the hotel guests, and the hotel did nothing to prevent this, and thus obsoleting their own rule. Quite meaningless....
Good value for money. Efficient staff. Good breakfast. Excellent location. Uncomfortable beds
I liked the facilities. The rooms were clean and the area well kept. Poor information about the sourrounding area; the staff knew a lot about the hotel but when it came to questions about restaurants and excursions, they lacked information and didn't bother to help. The pool area was very noisy - too much music at all times during the day from the entertainment area - not necessary.
I liked the quietness of the hotel and the staff were ok. Room could have been cleaner and there was no toilet paper in our room and also a dirty ashstray was in our room when we arrived.
Lounging by the pool, enjoying the jacuzzi and the 100 yard walk to the beech and shops! nope
Corridors very tired, studio apartment not very well equipped, towels worn and threadbare would not rate as a 4star
Friendly reception staff and cleaners. Relaxing pool area. Clean and homely. The option of smoking. Upgraded to apartment at no extra cost (end of season) Gym and sauna not open in the morning :(
Staff accepted my refusal of a studio room politely & updgraded to apartment. The studio rooms do not have beds. 2 single sofas!
The relaxed and undisturbed atmosphere while at the same time being in the heart of the port area, adjacent to Marina, Shops, and great choice of Restaurants. The staff were excellent and most helpful, and the facilities were adequate for our needs. Also close to Old Town. No. Would perhaps, like some 'in-house' light musical entertainment on an odd evening, like piano and vocalist, but appreciate the need to get the right balance so as not to spoil the quite and relaxing atmosphere. note:, My guest review below would reflect an overall closer to a 9
The hotel was situated in the centre of Alcudia, the pool and gardens and apartments were clean, and was good value for money, the staff were very helpful
The staff on reception were efficient when I telephoned to ask for directions to the hotel. The room was dirty, in particular the bathroom. The flow of water coming out of the taps in the basin was ridiculously inadequate. The furnishings were generally shabby.
Nice and spacious room, very close to the beach. The indications to arrive to the hotel (taken from the link put in the website of booking) pointed to a wrong street
We've visited Mallorca in the end of June 2010. Location of the hotel is excellent, 100 meters from the Port d'Alcudia beach, shopping and entertainment just 50 meters away. Very friendly staff, especially on reception. Cozy and stylish room with large balcony. None, except that deposit box was for extra charge (usually included in the room price in 4* hotels).
Fun activities for children, nice poolarea and friendly staff
We went the second weekend in October so it was fairly quiet and peaceful. Still there was nightly entertainment and all the facilities and services were still open. The apartment was a fairly decent size with a balcony and a good price. The double room had two single beds pushed together.
The Hotel was clean and the reception area very smart. Because we were there in February the hotel caters very much for people on biking holidays these arrive daily and often taking their bikes up in the lifts to store in their rooms. We did not try the restauant but it looked very inviting. The hotel was very good out of season and good value for money rooms cleaned five time a week and all the main areas were cleaned daily.
The bar/food service was very slow to the point were we waited 30 mins for a drink and then decided to cancel and go out around the town
Very close to the beach as well as shopping and restaurants. Modern and clean. Could be noisy at times with lots of children running around in the corridors. If you are not traveling as a young family, I am not so sure that this hotel is appropriate.
Our room was very well appointed and in great condition. The large flat screen tv was a plus and kitchen accessories were of good quality and quantity. The hotels facilities are excellent, particularly the indoor pool and fitness room. Our room was rear facing and was close to the delivery point for catering trucks etc which arrive early morning. Such a noise irritant was not unexpected when staying in the centre of a reasonably large town, but for other guests who value peace and quiet a pool facing room should be considered.
The fact that the hotel is a aparthotel, enabling us to cook some food on our own. Moreover, the hotel is close to the city center
Viva Tropic is close to the beach, restaurants, shopping. The hotel is clean and staff is very serviceminded. The pool-area is to small compared to the number of guests. The prises in the hotel-supermarket is way to high!!!!
The garden is very good and the renowated apartment we staid in was very nice. Supermarket in hotel had very little selection of food and offered old bread.
The position of the hotel was excellent - well away from the hustle and bustle of the town. There are many restaurants within very easy walking distance. The bathroom in room 8 needs some renovation. There was a problem with the bath water which took about 20 minutes to drain away, therefore necessitating a wait before the next person could use the bath or shower. walls are very thin so could hear everybody and everything
Clean comfortable hotel, in a good posistion in the harbour, lovely pool and garden area for sun bathing.
Everything could not falt this hotel at all Nothing
The reception staff were very helpful and had great english. The outdoor pool was fab and the indoor one was very handy on a rainy day! no
Efficiently run, including the buffet dining, reflecting the largely German client base. Location is good, nice views out over the water. Beds are twin beds rather than doubles. Parking is payable seperately at €7/day to the marina management.
The location was perfect for our requirements, faciliiies were good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Limited choice for Breakfast buffet/
On our arrival at the hotel Alcudiamar, we were greeted by extremely friendly and efficient reception staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. We would not hesitate recommending this hotel to any of our friends and we will certainly return to this hotel in the future.
The staff were very friendly especially on reception. It was a great place to relax in a fantastic location, the suite we stayed in was especially nice.
the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and the nice gesture of a bottle of bubbles on my birthhday. finding the patio doors unlocked ( twice ) after cleaning , not very safe especially the terrace being on the ground floor!
Great location, quiet because it was an adult only hotel. The grounds were beautiful and view was excellent. We upgraded to a royal suite which included a roof top hot tub, chair, sofa and bed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Fellow guests were mostly British with some Germans. All staff spoke English, and most German also.
We liked the food, the garden and the nice rooms with balcony
It was quiet and relaxing.Staff very helpful.Situation , amenities and cleaniness excellent No
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, excellent location right on the beach, no children so made a very relaxing atmosphere.
Quality of the room and food
spacious, good facilities, excellent food choice n/a
Standard of food Menu, for both breakfast & Dinner, can be described as First Class and contributed in great part to a most pleasant stay. Room Television Stations available should be more represenative of the Hotels International clientel, I.E. English Speaking programmes unavailable - News Only !
excellent staff, very good service
the really friendly and experienced staff, and the relaxing feeling around the Hotel for the guests., and the vast selection of food on offer for both breakfast, and Dinner. The attention to detailed cleaning by the Hotel Staff was impressive. Well, there has to be something wrong doesn't there, But in this case, only the coffee served in the Bar during the day could be improved, by making it stronger, the Italian way. Thats all folks
First class accommodation with high quality of meals Great seafront location but the general area was less appealing
The breakfast buffet is good and very relaxing when you sit outside. Price/quality is this hotel very okay! Room was not very clean (hair in the bathroom). Not very attractive area to have an evening walk. You need a car to go to the centre (Port d'Alcudia).
Staff very helpfull. Good service. Good food. Wunderfull location. Super value for the money. The room needs to come "up to date".
I liked the beach, the sourroundings, buffet and rooms. It is a rather crowded area in the high season.
Accomodation was excellent, best aparthotel we have stayed in, pool complex was very good and hotel was very close to the beach.
This is an ideal family holiday hotel.
nice hotel, very clean, very good breakfast buffet, excellent location.
we enjoyed the swimming pool and the closeness of the beach. Also near KFC
The facilities for Children is excellent. The staff were so helpful, the restaurant food was very good. Access to the beach was perfect. Great appartments. We originally had an apartment in block 6 which is completly seperate to the hotel and apartments are not as clean and modern as other blocks. It was also very noisy as apartments are on the main road. However, after complaining to reception, we were moved to much better apartment the following day, staff were very helpful.
This is a very well run child friendly hotel. It's friendly with very good standard food and is right on the beach. Take your own kettle and iron and you will have a great time. The immediate area surrounding the hotel is a bit 'touristy' but not too bad
Very convenient for families with children, excellent beach, sea, nature, food, nice service
very good friendly staff, everyday clean room vey good spa, calmnes and full relax nothing
Very quiet location of the hotel and seaview from the room. Also the hotel is not very large so we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has also a parking for cars. The rooms are well equipped, beds are very comfortable. Just a reception hall is not very modern but it´s just a detail. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone. Dinner buffet is nothing special - just a lot of eatable food.
Location Unintereseted staff, did not give any service at all. Reminded us how bad service could be in Spain before. The hotel has great potenial with new staff. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was realy horrible. We dined twice and went into Alcudia after that.
I liked the spa
We had all inclusive. Food was good with reasonable variation and always with a large varity (something for everyone). As usual the wine offered is no good, even if the rosé not was too bad. Bear was cold and good though! Excellent location with fantastic sea view from many rooms. The samll beah just outside the hotell is occupied from early mornings to late evenings. Also the sun beds at the hotel pools are occupied all day - seems as many "reserve" the sun beds before breakfast...Generally servive was ood and personell was reasonable pleasant (for an all-inclusive hotell). No
Excellent facilities, very helpful staff
this is the second time there for a weekend break and both times were excellent no
the staff, the pool and fairly close to the beach. not that clean
great value for money; wide range of food for breakfast noisy rooms because of thin walls
During my stay at the hotel I liked the staff, which was very helpful and friendly, the choice of food in the restaurant during breakfasts and dinners, besides this hotel is located very convenient and not far from the sea. At the same time it is not far from the shopping streets.
We were looking for three days of peace and relaxation and nightlife available. We found all these things Breakfast excellent but would choose not to have half board as the evening meal not so good
The beach was at walking distance, the breakfast and buffet dinner were ok. The room I had was old and the bathroom very smelly. The sink and shower were rusty (!!).So overall the room was ok, but not very cosy. Thin walls! Keep in mind that although JS Sol de Alcudia was quite quiet, the hotel next door was noisy and had a show eery night that ended at midnight (no chance of getting any sleep until the show had ended). The buffet dinner included in half board was ok but did not include any drinks, not even water (which was 1,90€)!
The staff is great and you feel like you're in Germany..which is quite a funny feeling in Mallorca! Also, the opportunity to have a shower even in the late afternoon on the day you check out is very appreciated. Breakfast is huge but is very low quality
bathroom was dirty - toilet seat had to be changed due to its condition (dirty)
the solarium, peaceful and quiet some trays in the food hall would be an idea save walking up and down to get breakfast juice coffee etc
very nice hotel, friedly staff. I think the best was jacuzi and sauna taht we could use any time and lovely evnings preformance. Food was good and I liked everything. I think the tv was a bit too small and wasnt too many english chanels.
The family apartments were well laid out and spacious.the shower was great with outstanding pressure and unlimited hot water.the staff were great .the breakfast was good value .i would definitly reccommend this hotel as we were at the end of the season the resort was closing down ,and the only dissapointment was the entertainment that was not as advertized.the acts listed each day did not turn up and due to not many people staying there at the time i think this was down to the hotel cancelling them.when we asked were they were we were told they would be there later just to keep you in the bar spending but they never showed
Close to restaurants, pubs, discos, souvenir shops and beach. Nice staff. "Communist hotel architecture", small and crowded swimming pool, noisy surroundings.
The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. The room was better than expected.
It was very clean, with cleaners coming to do the room a number of times during our stay. The staff were very friendly and there was always good entertainment on during the evenings. Two minor complaints were the food seemed a little too expensive for what it was and that smoking was allowed everywhere around the poolside, this could be remidied by making some areas non smoking and having designated smoking areas.
Value for money
location was exelent staff were very helpfull studio we had was quite large and well equippet we would recommend sol de alcudia to anyone.
Helpfull stuff at reception, nice territory,. nice view from the room on channels, many tools for kitchen in theh room - even blender and toaster No hairdrier in the room, a lot of children in the pool, water stuck in the bathroom, a safe should be paid for additionally and it had a key that we shall keep with us, very bad wi-fi - almost no at all
Excellent for children. Nice hotel with good location.
The food served was great for buffet style food. I usually hate hotel buffets but here it was well manned the food was fresh and kept fresh and the hotel staff were very efficient. Only thing I would say is a lack of 'secure' kids club ie the kids were free to come and go with only one organised day per week. Not that I would consider dumping my kid with carers all week but it would have been nice to book a massage for an hour knowing the kids were safe.
CHILDRENS SLIDE AREA AND THE ENTERTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN, WAITER SERVICE VERY FRIENDLY OUTSIDE MY ROOM BIG TREE COULD NOT SEE ENTERTAINMENT OF AN EVENING WHEN I COULD NOT GO OUT DUE TO CHILD. PAID FOR THE VIEW 10.00 EURO PER NIGHT
Facilities for children very good Swimming pools too cold. This was reflected by the lack of people using them. Also TV in room not working. I reported it 5 times over 3 days before it was finally fixed. I don't go on holidays to watch TV however when you have 2 small children with you and it's raining outside you need a TV. Also the furniture in the room could do with being updated - table chipped.
The cleanliness of the hotel ,, the staff very helpful and polite. No,,, the hotel was excellent
The hotel is well suited for children, with excellent swimming pools, playground and kids club facilities Yes, I found the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard.
very spacious and relaxed. nothing at all
Exceelnt facilities for children, lovely pools, great kids club, good entertainment at night Apartments did not have good cooking facilities, no kettle, only two ring cooker, not great variety of dishes, did not provide dishcloths to clean tables, and they werent cleaned by housekeeping either!!!
spa, nice place, btautiful sea, good meals. no
the room was big in size.it was clean and cleaned every day.the one hour spa was most enjoyable.sitting out side eating breakfast every morning was lovely as was the breakfast buffet.all staff very friendly.nice view from the balcony onto the main street. the problem regarding the key room door numbers
very nice location at 100 meters from a nice beach, beautiful view of the room on the sea, good SPA, nice swimming pool, very good breakfast buffet. internet wireless did not work for a week not acceptable in 2010 in a hotel with 500 hundred people..........., the room was equipped with 2 single beds and the sheets too not very appropriate for a couple and when i asked a change they told me all the rooms are like this.........When checking out at hotel reception they did not accept my credit card with chip for a problem of their bank credit card payment device (POS) and I lost a lot of time while I had to take a flight....
Good value for money although drinks expensive if not all inclusive. Rooms very clean and comfortable with a fridge. Reception friendly and helpful, offered a glass of champagne at check-in, not bad for a 3 * hotel! Spa facilities very good, again excellent for a 3 * hotel. We stayed one night and could have acess 3 times for one hour each time. No problems getting a sunbed, even in the middle of the day,as there are plenty for everybody and pool area is very clean. All the guests were German except for us, which was not a problem except the entertainment is geared for this nationality. The entertainment the night we were there was bingo! The hotel is set quite a way from the centre of C'an Picafort and there are not many bars etc in the immediate vicinity, so a car is recommended if you want to travel further afield.
Everything was excelent. The breakfast, the beach, the pool, the staff... The shower should have more pressure.
It was a good family hotel right on a very beautiful beach. It appeared to be clean and maintained. This hotel also did not appear to attract the "party crowd", so it was plenty quiet in the evenings. It was listed as 5 star, which it is not. It is maybe a 3+ or a 4 star hotel. The morning breakfast was OK, but not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. During the weekend the pool area was fairly crowded and we had trouble finding somewhere to sit. But there was plenty of room down on the beach.
Nice safe peaceful area overlooking beach. Good buffet style meals and good service by staff including a complimentary drink from bar upon arrival. A good rate for a Five star Hotel. The a la carte evening menu was very limited and quite expensive. The location has nothing to offer in the immediate vacinity - no bars / restaurants within walking distance. We stayed at end Mar'10 and noticed that the beach was being worked on, so it was not inviting to lie out.
The suite terraces and views from the suite's terrace are fantastic. The service was excellent. The breakfasts were very enjoyable and the food fresh and service again excellent. The location of the hotel is prime. Parking is very convenient. Beautiful lobby. Overall, a very pleasant experience and worth returning if certain upgrades are undertaken. The room is not 5 star appointed. Theroom furniture was not top quality and a bit sparse. The beds/linens need improvement. The hotel does also not disclose that the beach is not theirs, but private and, during July 2008, costs $15 USD/day for 2 people for an umbrella/chair and $30 USD/day for 3-4 persons.
Good location, opposite wetlands area. Excellent buffet menu. Spacious rooms. Supplied kettle for our early morning cuppas. Swimming pool area rather cramped and plain-looking. Front of hotel somewhat ornate, with Greek-style pillars. International restaurant very uninspiring.
The facilities were very clean, the staff very efficient and helpful. The beach was nice but when we there the weather wasn't the best for the beach; however, the pool area was protected and was perfect. The spa was also very nice. We only ate breakfast there but it was all anyone could ask for.
Everything is really wonderful! Fantastic dinners and breakfasts!! Gym, SPA, good pool. Gentle stuff. Real 5*. None
Absolute a class hotel with a high standard - just to the sea side.
Breakfast good three days out of four. Facilities very good. Staff friendly. The suite was good and worth paying the extra. Noise early in the morning from delivery bay disturbed us each day. Dinner buffet poor value for money, food quality disappointing when breakfast is better. Beds too hard. Shame about the weather but thats life.
