Great location, very family friendly and comfortable.
Very nice and clean hotel.Helpful and friendly staff.Good location.
The location was excellent with good food in the hotel's restaurant and many good restaurants next door to hotel
Location, easy access to city centre, museums and shops. Nice view over the place de la rebublique. Small room
Hotel was well placed and Metro close by, Good quality for the money paid Rooms are a bit on the small side and expensive to eat or drink in the hotel
Well decorated, the rooms looked nice. In this case the location was very convenient Air Conditioner didn't work TV did't work The wireless internet would drop out for several hours at a time The pillows were very thick and very hard... not suitable for sleeping
The Hotel was very good would stay again No
I arrived at 10 pm . there was no room for me !!! as alternative and as no other options they let me stay in a very poor room - (hotel staff room) I asked for a full credit for this nigth and the promised to apply and credit me
location and professional staff concierge was very helpful no free wi-fi (most hotels it is free) hard to control temperature in the room room service is too slow
Location! This hotel is located right on top of one of the major metro stations, which made getting around the city super convenient. Room quality, amenities, and service weren't quite as great as other luxury hotel brands, but were still far above average. Aside from a minor screw-up at check-in, I had no complaints. Noise. Being situated on such a main thoroughfare, you get a lot of street noise, even at night. HVAC. Our room was always hot! We had to crack the window just to keep it comfortable, especially at night while trying to sleep.
we were in a great location, the staff were very helpful with anything we asked for and the rooms were so clean and comfortable
location was excellent, twenty minute walk or quick metro ride to Seine and Notre Dame.Metro station two minutes walk away. good view from room onto square with view of Eiffel Tower in distance. Well proportioned room, friendly and helpful staff.excellent choice of restaurants and bars in vicinity.
There was not one good experience that I can say about The Murano Resort Hotel. Unfortunately, there was nothing positive that I can say at the Murano Hotel. The rooms are worn out. The furniture in them have burn marks on the tables as well as pulls and snags all over the fabric. The plumbing backed up in our room and we had to be moved to another room, and at night you hear gurgling in the pipes all night long. The hallways and rooms and elevators smell of smoke. There is no designated floors for non-smoking so you smell smoke from the other rooms. The hallways are so dark you can not find your key lock on your door with your key to enter your room. The hotels tv's did not work properly and very little channel selections. The hotel practices no enviromental/substailable practices. The did not even own an iron to use.
hotel was very nice.. none.
Brilliant room comfort & design. Cool, trendy atmosphere whether breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is great & dinner exceptional...try the cocktails!
The staff were excellent at all times. Great design although a bit "hard". The prices of drinks in the bar were unjustifiable for a hotel guest. I may be wealthy but that does not make me stupid.
staff was great elevated bed platform was hazardous at night in low light
Very quiet! Bed comfortable. Staff very nice. Just the shower on the cord is annoying. Prefer fixed shower head. Hallways too dark.
one room was very large and one room was very small. the staff was very considerate and friendly.
The hotel was comfortable if compact and the location was good. It was a little noisy from traffic at the front
Position and size of room Did not think breakfast matched the standard of the hotel
Convenient location. Good room
This hotel is very nice. It's very well located, at a calm street and close to the metro station. The people from the reception are very friendly. They helped me a lot. The internet connection is great. The bathroom doesn't have curtains.
Comfy beds. Only half an hour bus ride from the city centre. Bath - quite a rarity these days. Nice traditional staircase and windows. I asked for a minimum of steps for my parents' room but they given a room on the top floor; this caused me some stress when the lift broke down (admittedly it was repaired within a few hours).
The hotel is clean and conveniently located near a Metro stop. The staff is very helpful.
Great area, easy metro acces (5 min walking to the metro station) for all Paris main atractions. The hotel was very good, rooms are nice and clean. We didnt need help from the staff because everything was fine, but i'm sure they are helpfull :)! Very good choise for a city trip! non smoking rooms
This hotel is very good value for Money. Knowing how crap rooms can be in Paris, I think this is a very good deal. Location is very good (bars in Oberkampf, restaurant, shops. metro Republique brings you everywhere. Wifi is free. The signal was poor on the 5th floor but still ok. The paint and batchroom have just been renewed. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend it The rooms are quite small, that is true, welcome to paris! Wifi is a bit weak in high floors.
Our stay in the hotel was pleasant, the staff was really helpful and very kind, with a knowledge of French, English, Russian language. the location of the hotel was excellent, close to the subway station "Republique", no subway noise was heard. The room had everything what an average, not too demanding tourist needs except the fridge. The room was clean every day. There was free WiFi in the room. The double room is too small even for 1 person and not cosy for 2, no fridge in the room. The rooms need some renovation, the coverings are old and its visible. The breakfast's cost is not fair in regard to its content, but you can have more for the same price in restaurants outside the hotel. Sometimes internet connection problems occurred.
Very nice place and close to the Republique and Oberkamph metro stations. We had a room with attached shower and toilet. Very clean and neat. Lots of restaurants around. The room was cleaned every day and new towels were provided. The staff was very accomodating.
The hotel is in a great place, plenty of restaurants and shops within a minutes walk. Also, with the metro station being so close it is easy to get anywhere in Paris quickly. The hotel itself was very comfortable, warm and friendly, and we felt very safe there.
Good value for a fairly good location; about 1 or 1.5 miles to Bastille, Pere LaChaise, and Notre Dame. Good supermarkets and self-service laundry nearby. Tiny elevator, fairly small room
The hotel was clean, quiet, on a pleasant street and close to metro, restaurants, shopping, etc.
Good location, close to metro, nice little hotel Breakfest is not inclusive, EUR 16 too expensive
I have never seen such a dirty hotel in my life! I have paid 170 for a night, just to feel like vomiting any time I have looked to all the hair hanging everywhere in the bathroom, or at the stains on the bed sheets! I have never seen such a dirty hotel in my life! I have paid 170 for a night, just to feel like vomiting any time I have looked to all the hair hanging everywhere in the bathroom, or at the stains on the bed sheets! Besides, I have felt totally insecure.
The room was nice and delicate with TV, Nespresso machine, and wonderful products in the bathrooom (l'occitane products, bathrobes etc). A big plus for the nice balcony and view of the rooftops of Paris. The breakfast was good, and it was served in original settings in a pink designed room, with i.e. a "pill-bar" where you could choose different vitamin pills to go with your breakfast. The first morning we woke up there was no hot water in the shower, so we had to shower in ice cold water. The staff explained that this was due to some technical problems and the hot water was back that same afternoon/evening. We also asked the staff to bring us a third bathrobe and coffe-cup, since we had booked a room for 3 people, but we never got this.
Great L'Occitane products in the bathroom. Helpful staff. Nice decor.
The staff works very hard to make you feel comfortable. The L'Occitane products are a big plus!
This is a very nice and pleasant hotel to come back to after a day of sightseeing. I love the bathroom especially. Makes me feel welcomed. the wi-fi signal was a little weak but I shouldn't be complaining since it's complimentary.
The staff were all very helpful and courteous; Decoration original-- apples on the pillows and a rubber duck in the bath! Loved the L'Occitane toiletries--What a treat! Asked for a non-smoking room on reservation and confirmed upon arrival at the hotel. Room air was great when we arrived, which is not always the case even when it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, despite indication of Non-smoking floor, the hall reeked of cigarettes second day, and smoked out our room the rest of the visit.:(
Location was good and the room and bathroom had a good size for 3 people. It was always cleaned and warm. Bath products are never replaced and one of the guys at the front desk wasn't helpful when asked about information to leave the city.
The ducks in the bathroom, the bar, the very nice clean bathroom and gym. Helpful staff. French lavender outside the front door. Lovely flowers in the common areas. Great breakfast. Liked the whole design. Especially liked the bowls of sweeties in the bar.
The staff were extremely welcoming and efficient When made the complaint re. pull out bed, the person on duty was not flexible at all.
the shower was like a massage..it was powerful and welcomed at the beginning and end of a hard day sightseeing. And the staff on reception were of the most helpful kind, the main lady in particular was. a delightful place, and very central.
Well designed hotel, in a convenient area, near the Marais. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the hotel was not always up to the expected standards. 1. Too expensive for the level of facilities (200 euros per night is too much). 2. The breakfast was really basic (for a 4-star hotel and above all, for a charge of 17 euros). 3. No working space (though this is the least of the hotel's weaknesses, as I'm used to very small rooms in Paris).
Most of the front desk staff were excellent: helpful and very friendly. it is a convenient location and there are many boulangeries and restaurants in the area. The room is decent for the price. Only one of the late night staff was an unpleasant and difficult man. He "joked" in an off-color manner for 10 or 15 minutes before giving us our room key. Unacceptable behavior.
Hotel offers a good value for Paris. Rooms was very spacious, well design and the bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff spoke english and was very helpful. Willing to even walk to the pharmacy to translate for us ! The breakfast was just ok. The service needs some twitching in this area.. Coffee was a bit strong and there is no option for an expresso or latte.
Friendly welcome from all staff. Very relaxed feel. Organic breakfasts were good as were the herbal infusion drinks from the menu. It was well located to see the sights of Paris
The Staff was very gracious and helpful to us, two newcomers in the beautiful city of Paris! We were very pleased with Hotel Gabriel and ALL staff.
very good location, the best bed i ever slept in,very friendly reception
easy access to metro. hotel room clean and quiet. with wifi and adsl no
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and kind. They were always eager to help me navigate Paris and made sure that I knew where I was going when I walked out of their hotel. The lack of WiFi makes staying connected a little difficult, but there is a shared computer in the lobby if you are hard pressed.
We were very pleased with the hotel. The room was spotless, very comfortable and while not large, was designed to maximize every inch of space. We will definitely stay there again. There need to be hooks for towels in the bathroom
The friendliness of the staff Being woken up for no reason
The staff of the hotel were friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel was good, metro was only a couple of minutes away. The room was sizable especially given Paris standard. Facilities were old, towels were not quite new.
good service, pleasant staff
Very convenient to the metro. Hair dryer was available in the bathroom. Nice balcony views! Nice lift (though "normal" size for Europe - which means that it is small). Most staff spoke English well (and if they didn't they were able to find someone who did). Honest staff. We stayed in August and had two rooms on different floors. The room on the higher floor was much hotter (there is no a/c) than the room on the lower floor. Ceiling (or even floor) fans would have been nice. The hotel is farther from the Eiffel Tower than we expected. The street in front of the hotel is loud 24/7, so you really can't sleep with the windows open. We saw roaches in the kitchen, so I wouldn't opt for eating there (note that the rooms are clean and we didn't see any bugs there).
Ver warm room and great view of the street It was great the realtion quality/price. Better than I was expected.
good location, friendly staff a little noisy and smoke from the footpath infront of the hotel when we open the window
good location in safe area
very close to metro, in a very good locatiuon. Staff were friendly and spoke english. Room was an ok size for paris. Clean, Quiet even as room was front faceing otel is a little run down and coridors very narrow. Rooms are not well sound proffed (even though I had no noise problems afer midnight). Suitable for one or two nights stay
A good location and reasonablt priced I found the staff were not very welcoming when we first arrived and actually ignored us for a while! Not really very helpful either.
Great location. Nice Staff. Safe & secure. Nice bathroom. Nice balcony. Bedspreads were not clean. Blankets were stained.
Great location, close to metro station, nice room, great staff, it was easy to walk to every nice sight in paris.
The hotel was value for money and very central so it was easy to get to most places. Generally pretty clean and comfortable. The rooms were pretty small but I guess you get what you pay for.
The hotel is located very close to the metro and staff are very nice and very helpful.
nothing hotel staff
The location was ideal since it is right on Place de la Republique. The elevator is too small - the smallest I've ever been in.
quiet yet close to place de Republique and the canal St Martin I wish there had been a hairdryer in the room
the location of hotel, good bathroom, clean bed linen, window to the quiet street small elevator
The location on the place de la republique and the easy access to the canal saint martin Corridors are very narrow rendering movement in the hotel very difficult
This budget hotel was a little gem at a great price in Paris. 15-20 minute walk from Gare du Nord train station. Located outside of the Marais on a quiet dead end street. I highly recommend this small & quirky hotel for anyone on a budget!
Location is ok, close to tube station. Helpful staff. Room in very good condition. You can't hear any sound from outside, however inwards very noisy at night, you can hear all the doors closing
Good connections, nice hotel, felt like "local" atmosphere - real Paris. Very thin walls, too loud people - couldn't sleep enough.
The Lift, Location, and Balconies!
The hotel is quite close to the metro and only 30-35 minutes from the Charles deGaulle airport. There are many interesting sculptures and artwork in the halls and rooms making this a very cozy atmosphere. The neighborhood is changing.
The location was superbe! It's right around the corner from Place de la Republique and just a couple minutes walk away from the lively Canal St.Martin neighbourhood. It's a convenient location to start exploring the city. You can easil take a walk to le Marais. The Room was very clean and has everything that is needed. The check in and check out was very quick and hasslefree. I would definitely stay there again.
Very convenient location, near the metro and not far from the city centre. Room was clean and comfortable, if compact (this is Paris, after all!) but not unduly cramped. By no means luxury accomodation, which is hardly a surprise at this price level, but has some interesting design touches. Free wi-fi too! Plumbing is a little noisy - it's an old building - and you're left in no doubt when your neighbours are taking a shower! This is unlikely to be a major issue, though, unless you're a very light sleeper.
Practical, very good location near public transport. Friendly and efficient staff. Small but comfortable, clean and quiet, nicely furnished room. The design, look and general feeling of the rooms is great. Unfortunately, this is not the case for the reception room which is rather bland and cold.
friendly atmosphere and great location small elevator not enough room to be in the elevator at the same time as your bags. Very small rooms but I understand that is normal for paris
Clean, convenient position, WIFI, people elevator is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry slow and small
I found the Staff very friendly. And the location was very convenient with the Metro station just 2 minutes from the hotel.
Staff, location, original room very small dark inhospitable, need for relaxation in rooms not just a bed and a hard chair, satellite tv needs to work effectively giving a wider range of programs
Good location. Ease of check-in. Friendly reception staff No
Location very good for reasonable price; very close to metro; staff helpful. Room smaller than expected;
patience et gentillesse du personnels franck
Nice staff, good breakfast, proximity to Temple metro station. Not really in the middle of the Marais, quite a bit of noise from the very busy Rue de Turbigo.
The Rotanda room is particularly spacious for Parisian standards. Renewal of furniture.
Location right next to Metro was very convenient. I was on 6th floor and had great view of Montmartre from my room. Staff were overall helpful.
Close to metro and therefore very convenient. Staff spoke English and were helpful. Mid summer and no air conditioning but the windows all opened so not too bad.
Very friendly staff, comfortable room, nice breakfast. Streetside rooms have some noise from the nearby street and square. Not too bad though.
The service and advice provided by the 'front desk' staff was excellent. Room was small and ventilation insufficient.
The staff was always ready to help. I notice that for non-french speakers there was no big deal with the language. Rooms too hot. Opening the window in a location like that i having in the balance noise versus hot.
Location next to Metro station, but need to keep in mind to get out at right exit (exit no 6, via Line 8, Ballard direction) Internet charges were expensive
Staff was friendly and helpful, room was comfortable. no a/c, but staff gave us a fan when we asked so we were fine. not as close to train station as we expected, but Metro station is right outside the hotel entrance.
the hotel was really good and staff friendly and helpfull the bedrooms lovely and well supplied with drinks etc i didnt like the area very much found it too noisy and busy for me
nothing special small rooms, old facilities
