The name Waldorf Astoria There is no intimacy .. too big! A bit cold ..
location, comfort, architecture, and the history! pitiful tv reception, no free internet access from room
Location Overcharged for a bottle of water
Reception area was beautiful. Rooms are very dated and I had the unfortunate experience of staying beside a suite and the the people staying it in liked to party in it until 5.30am. Kitchen was adjoined to my room and heard every footstep and every word. Reception offer me to move rooms at 5.30am rather than asking the guests to have some respect for others. Never again.
Staff were all very friendly the hotel interior was outstanding with a style and appearance from a different era. Rooms a bit small but understand in NYC you don't get a lot for your money.
A very poor experience The rooms were all 1970's needs a major refurbishment
Arranged the visit for the 60th birthday of my sister and were both very pleased to receive a bottle of wine in the room- a very kind gesture ,thankyou! Staff always very courteous and helpful. Would be nice to have tea making facilities in room, otherwise can't think of anything more!
Goegeous hotel, luxourious. A bit impersonal, had to get a ticket to get a bellhop to take bags to room - not clear where to get ticket from so didnt do this. Paying this much a bell hop should be at the door when you arrive to take your bas up the large staircase. No computers for internet - needed own laptop to use internet. Location not nearly like I thought - had to walk quite a few blocks to get to central part, times square, etc. Close to Fifth Ave shops which was good.
The staff were very helpful The room was comfortable but not luxurious.
The Waldorf is a fabulous hotel. We loved everything about this hotel. The decor was amazing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. I cant praise this hotel and the staff enough.
The hotel staff were very friendly, easy to approach and very helpful. Amazing hotel. Nothing.
It was great we had a warm cookies on arrival!!! Highhhhh five! Nothing at all
New renovated reception area makes it more attractive. One day iur room remained not cleaned.
Very pleasant staff at check-in, loved the cookie. No complaints.
Location Taxes but no thotels fault
Friendliness of staff. Cleaning service wasn't very punctual.
Sometime there was a Bellboy at the entrance to help with the luggage!! Every request had to be repeated 3-4 times
Excellent location, quick service, helpful staff! the gym is very hot and the ceiling of the gym is low.
Bed was very comfortable - A/C was was in good working order-- Hotel Staff were (especially for NYC) helpful and pleasant. No coffee maker in the room. (Though there's a Starbucks across the street)
the staff were very fiendly and accommodating. Steve in particular was great to us. The warm cookies on arrival were magic!!! Location of the hotel is magic, with the subway only 5 m across the road.
Friendly and accommodating staff Room service only till 10pm
Easy location. Noise levels from road were quite loud. You can't sit in the bar area without buying a drink, even if you are a hotel patron. I had forgotten my phone charge and the hotel staff was not helpful in providing a temporary replacement, perhaps from lost and found. Instead I was referred to an overpriced in-house gift shop trying to sell me a micro-usb cable for 15-20$. Check-in is late at 4:00 pm. Room was tiny.
Accessibility/ location, customer service No sound insulation in rooms near elevators (room near elevator was outrageously loud because of elevator mechanism and doors continuously opening and closing). They moved our room, but could be a problem if hotel is full.
Music at the lobby No toothpaste!
Location was perfect. My room and bathroom were very small, even cramped. I glanced in other rooms while housekeeping had them open and they were much more appropriate-sized. Perhaps my "low priced room" wasn't a bargain, but just the price of a small room.
Location The room had no AC, complain nothing happened, opened window, I could barely sleep because of the noise from outside
The room was just what we needed with a nice size tv for winding down and a great night sleep on a comfortable bed. The highlight of the experience came on the last day, we had a late night with some friends in the city and wanted to go to a late brunch with them before heading home, we didn't think we could make it unless we had a slightly later check out time than 12p, which the front desk staff were very understanding and let us go to 1p at no additional charge! Brunch was fantastic and only possible because of the team at the Lexington. The room is a bit small perhaps for some, however in New York most rooms are that I have experienced.
The location was great & the hotel is small but pretty. It was New Year's Eve & they were understaffed. The check in took too long, when we finally got to our room it wasn't cleaned. Very messy. Had to go back to lobby. They apologized and changed the room. Later that night the key for the room stopped working so we visited the lobby a third time. Then the tub got clogged. We left it like that and checked out in the morning. Nothing was offered for the inconveniences and we had to wait for about an hour to get the car from the valet which was other hassle because we lost the stub and had to go again to the front desk. I'd been happy if the parking fee at least would've been waived. Again, beautiful hotel & location but they need more staff.
The room was ok, was not too happy with my experience here. The place was a "4" star and the hallways my family and I smelled weed When I asked the valet parking to get please get my car "I was told it took 20 minutes " I waited 50 minutes and no one came to let me know my car was ready, and they knew I was wait for it.
The rooms are perfect a d the beds are wonderful to sleep.the tv is perfect
Love the location, convenient to time square and Rockefeller center and Central Park I asked for more blankets and towels and they took forever bringing it to my room, my kids dropped soda on the blankets so I needed new ones
Door man was not in a service. Luggage deposit payable even in waiting for the room clearance.
Wifi was great and entertainment and amenities on the ground floor were amazing. I had to change rooms because of the auto noise on the Lexington Avenue facing side.
Beautiful hotel, great location Put in a smoking room even though we requested a non smoking room,
The small bar in the lobby. Friendly staff Good general location Too expensive for outdated rooms especially bathroom. Internet connectivity could be better and included in the price.
Clean, very friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Wall were thin, we could hear entire conversations going on at all times.
The View, we had a fantastic view of both the Empire State building and the Chyrsilier. We were on the 40th floor and were able to also see the skyline of Manhattan. The service of all staff was excellent and the room was large, comfortable, warm and relaxing. We would definately recommend and return to this hotel any time we visit NY.
I was not happy with my stay at all my room and bath room were dirty
This hotel offers a good location at an affordable price. The rooms also provided excellent views. The beds were very comfortable. Overall the hotel was really not very clean at all. The walls could use a good scrub or new coat of paint. The bathroom was not clean either. I think that a number of the housecleaning staff are elderly and that might be the reason that the rooms were not as clean as I had hoped they would be.
Location -- close to UN where our meeting was held; Small, crowded lobby; no bell boy service for luggage; only one courtesy phone in the lobby;
the bed is very comfortable if we hadn't set alarms would have slept the whole day. the amenities in the room alone are a nice add. the staff was efficient and helpful. there were gnats in the shower and when we checked out and had to leave the bags at the desk the bellman took about 20 minutes to show up and help us.
Great beds, good shower and good location, what else do you need!!!
Charging for Internet use! No room service from 12 to 1630!
Great staff loved the security dog in lubby To get in shower was quote slippery and shower head in a weird place
View of the east river. Small, odly shaped rooms. Door opens into a narrow passage so you have to do a dance to get into the room. Windows are small, so feel cramped inside.
friendly staff queen bed advertised as king
14th floor room was VERY quiet. Great for NYC.
Room size comfort cleanliness and contemporary A little further from Times Square than I expected and the staff was unfriendly
The room was bigger than we anticipated. It was really big. The location is great; very close to grand central station. It was quiet and better than staying in times square. There were several restaurants near by and 5th avenue was just a few blocks away. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. We were pleased. The fixtures in the bathroom were coming off the walls. Cleanliness was a tiny bit off. Looked like either blood or ketchup on the curtains (I am going with ketchup). Need to stay above 7th floor or you will hear the music from the lounge. Could have used a microwave/refrigerator.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! The room was very large for NYC and the shower head (rain shower) in the bathroom was amazing!! I also liked that there was a long hallway separating the door, bathroom, closet and vanity from the bedroom. Great location - close to Grand Central. There was a wonderful breakfast place a couple of blocks away (Zucker's) that we visited a couple of times - excellent quality and price. I was only able to reserve a King size bed online and would have liked 2 double beds. The hotel was going to accomodate us with 2 beds, but wanted $50 more a night. They did upgrade us to a larger studio that had 2 comfortable chairs and a table, which was great!
Staff was amazing, room was fabulous. I usually stay at the Dream-Downtown and the rooms here are bigger (as is the bathroom). Overall a great value for my money. No actual lobby or bar to hang out in..
Issue with we form in first two categories. I was a business/solo traveler. The rating section was operating.
Room size was bigger than avg. in NYC Mattress was comfortable Zero noise on 14F TV was great quality Pillows were uncomfortable to rest on. Nothing else we found uncomfortable or bad to review. that's it. SP
Unbelievably, my tiny room did not have a dresser. When I inquired about this the indifferent desk manager told me that the smaller rooms sometimes did not come with one! Living in this room out of my bag for five nights was a joy. Upon check out, there were three different staff members at the desk, none of whom could comprehend that there was not a dresser. So they went to check it out --- and big surprise, no dresser. (Apparently they were concerned that I was blind.) No apology, no offer of discount, no reasonable explanation. Had it not been a completely packed week in New York, I would have fled the first night. Oh, the shades didn't work properly either. Never again.
The bed was really comfortable and the room very quiet for New York. I think the shower was recently renovated and was terrific. The rain-style shower head was mounted high so that you didn't have to duck under it and there was also shower wand if you needed it. I also loved that the HD TV had HD cable so that we weren't constantly watching images that were squeezed or stretched. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The only negative was that they're remodeling the bar and restaurant so there was no food or drink available other than room service and the continental breakfast. When that's finished it should be a big improvement.
It is successfully located - in the center of Manhattan, near to city centre and sights Stopped in 5* parts of hotel. All strongly become outdated, noise both from street, and from the lift and hotel, the sanitary technician and other demands serious reconstruction. Full not conformity to the price offer. A level 3* plus.
The views from our tower room were amazing. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would especially like to thank Ces for his personalised service, even though the shuttle did not not pick us up. We were given the wrong information regarding where to board our shuttle service and consequently, missed our transfer to the airport. The shuttle service was rung by reception at the hotel, but the company told us we had been given the wrong information as to where to meet the shuttle and they were not willing to provide us with another service to the airport. We then had the added expense of a taxi fare to JFK, to meet our flight. I did not appreciate this. Also, given the cost of accommodation, I would like to have seen internet access built into the price, not as an additional cost to the customer.
thanks for the great service.
Lovely location, very good service. The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite poor in comparison. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Had a problem with checking in....had the reservation under the wrong name. Didn't like breakfast in Oscars...the food was poor and the coffee was cold
We think this is the best boutique hotel in New York. Impeccable service, historic surroundings, magnificent public rooms. Great room service food. A bit pricey, but so is everything in NYC.
The door leading out of the hotel worked The staff, the lobby, the location, the accommodation were all bad
Attentive staff Comfortable room Minor fit and finish problems; flaked paint, some scratches here and there Spanish style half door shower forces you to endure a blast of freezing cold water before it gets hot
Accommodations were excellent. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful. Very quiet despite location. The room temperature was too warm for sleeping and no way to open the window.
Super close to Grand Central, surprisingly very quiet even though we were facing 41st st! Staff was a bit slow and there were a handful of weird guests, but overall very good. Can't beat the price for a downtown hotel. Slow and confused staff Room down the hall stunk of cigarettes (though ours was fine)
Juan was amazing. The room was comfy. The entire hotel looked clean. I can't wait to come back!
The location is convenient to times square. It takes about 15 min to walk to times square and all the shopping areas The heater was not working when we first arrived to our room so it was extremely cold. The breakfast was advertised as a buffet for only $12, but it was just a very basic continemtal breakfast.
Junior suite was spacious. Nothing is a wow factor but it's good overall. I didn't see breakfast options in the room but noticed a 3Rd floor breakfast option in the elevator when I had no time left in my schedule.
Location Internet was not available at night. Not enough bandwidth. Staff did not answer phone. Sheets smelled like body odor.
Location Cleanliness Restaurant organization Front desk layout
We were on the 36th floor and most of the elevators were broken during our stay. Was difficult getting to and from our room. We had to use the service elevator many times.
staff very helpful elevators out of svce at times
Great access to grand central station, i.e. don't even have to go outside. Beautiful modern lobby, with dedicated elevators, so short wait times. Nice rooms, modern. Black mildew inside shower curtain. Did not swap out all towels after first evening so had to have face cloths and hand towels delivered. Maids talking in hallway while cleaning rooms early in the morning (my biggest pet peave).
Location was excellent. Lack of options in the neighbourhood for affordable food, unless you wish to tempt fate and eat from a cart of death on the street. Gave us some credit for our hot room. Room was hot, hot, hot. Ac could not keep up. Went down to front desk to ask for assistance. They tried to find a fan but could not( 2:30 am don't blame them). The next day we had to get maintenance up the next day and they found us a fan.
Location Room smelled, they tried to not offer our booked room type. Even after calling and confirming the day of.
Great position for tourists sights. Direct access to to the subway and Grand Central Terminist and food hall. Very expensive
Very good ambiance in lobby and also bedroom. Very nice experience during entire stay. Closer access to all main attractions & restaurants in NewYork. Value for money in major city. No hotel valet parking so need to find other valet parking nearby.
This location is awesome!!! Can not beat it! Room was too hot and would not cool Elevators were SLOW - seemed liked only one was working
proximity to train station, snack bar in lobby, restaurant just up from the lobby dirty bathroom floor, poor unkeep in bathroom--sloppy caulking around shower door, built-up crud around shower area, couldn't get into shower without walking directly under shower head. Worst problem was the "modern" touch light switches---couldn't leave a light on in the bathroom to see your way there in the middle of the night. Difficult to use all lights. Dark décor--depressing and dark wallpaper installed poorly--all you noticed were the seams in the wallpaper
Clean room, very nice cleaning staff. Front desk people pretty ho hum . Slow elevators during peak times. Not all elevators working. Kept stopping at floors for people with override keys. Very expensive hotel overall, hotel ( hotel rate), food ($4.50 for a cup of tea at the cafe on the main floor & you have to make it yourself!)
Great room. Clean. Comfy bed. Limited view.
Great location! Hotel was within walking distance of pretty much everything! Staff was extremely friendly & accomodating. when in NY again for fun, this would be the first place I would look to book. Not overpriced but still seemed like a luxury stay. Thanks Marriott! Nothing. the stay was amazing
Hotel was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean with very comfortable bed. Very close to the sites. 10 minute walk from Rockefeller, 20 minute to Time Square. Very safe area, would definitely recommend.
wonderful location, superb rooms. We had a one bedroom suite which was fantastic for our long weekend. will definaitely stay there again. Loved the internet Concierge service which worked like a charm. small thing but in the bathroom fluff behind the door not removed for duration of stay.
The rooms were quite large especially for Manhattan, fantastic location & reasonably priced! all in all, a thumbs up! Bathrooms could be given a more modern look
Friendliness of eall employees, hotel restaurant handy and reasonalby priced, nice sized rooms, has computer set up for checking into airlines Not one thing
They charge $14.95 for wifi in your room. The Lobby furniture is very old no back support. & Very saggy
comfy beds and close proximity to everything waiting for lift and thought room and bathroom could have been cleaner
Older building, recently updated. Lots of charm, yet very modern. Location wad terrific. Hotel was spotless. Pillows on bed were small.
Nice staff very helpful great experience front desk excellent would recommend highly
The rooms were large and well appointed. They were clean and quiet. A bit dark decor and lighting in the lobby area.
Staff and room.
Great location and valet parking
Clean and spacious room The only reason why i booked this hotel is for the rooftop and you guys completly ruined my stay by closing the rooftop for a private event the ONE day i booked. Good to know that no matter how much cash you shell out youll still get beat over the head because of rich people wanting to close off a whole area of a hotel. Horriible experience.
Whenever I visit NYC, I always stay at Affinia. Great hotel. Friendly staff, large clean rooms. Excellent location.
All the rooms were doubled booked so none of the keys worked and when they reprogrammed the keys people had access to occupied rooms. We asked for a refund but didnt get one.
I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality and spaciousness of the rooms at this hotel. The price was truly amazing given the quality and location of this hotel. If I had to leave a negative comment it would only be that the heat took a while to kick on and for the room to warm up. However, I did stay on one of the coldest days of the year so I'm sure this is not a common issue for guests.
Great location, terrific value in NYC. Would definitely stay there again.
Great staff. Very very helpful. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom. They need a counter or a table to lay out toiletries. There is no in room coffee.
good location, nice neighborhood, everything needed is close by. my room had half the lights did not work, this included the bathroom where everything dark .
The room was perfect for the price
I was very impressed with the hospitality of this hotel as well as its location. The room was also plenty big and clean. I also felt the price was very reasonable especially considering the location. We were within walking distance to the Times Square area. We will definitely be staying there again.
This is set in an amazing area. The outside and inside is very pretty and caught our eye to bring us there. Staff was friendly even though they were out of extra sheets and robes. Bed is always supposed to be the best part of the hotel. But it was uncomfortable. Sheets were pilling. And there was this comforter underneath that was gross and was not comforting at all. This place had so much potential but really didn't do it for us. Advertised HD tv without HD channels. Bathroom lights flickering. It was fine but not 4 star.
Spacious hotel rooms and very friendly staff. Great location. They never brought us enough towels. Sometimes they didn't leave us any towels. I've never experienced that from this level of hotel before.
Nice big room. Right near Grand Central. Terrific staff. Clean room. Everything was great
Location was great and the valet parking was reasonable and nice perk. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bath tub leaked as if the water was not shut off completely. The noise was quite annoying after a while.
Location, room size, good view of empire state building, moved us to a higher floor when we asked. Staff was a little slow to help but not to the extreme. Was a little annoying that you have to go down to the front desk to get ice. They wouldn't bring a bucket of ice up to our room. You have to ask for a coffee maker and coffee as its not included in the room.
The room was large and very clean. The staff was friendly. Can't think of anything that I found lacking.
This location is great for it's convenience to Sloan which was main purpose for our stay. The hotel is connected by a hallway to Sloan! Took advantage of closeness to MOMA and great restaurants. Comfy room with view, concierge, and cafe. Will return and recommend.
Everyone was helpful and location was good.
It is very well located and the staff were friendly. We were particularly impressed with how well cleaned and maintained the room was. The common areas were clean and fairly up-to-date as well. NYC is always wildly expensive, but what they charge for breakfast and extras is at gouge-the-tourists levels, unnecessary. The free wifi is also a bit slow and unreliable, and of course they offer higher speed access for more per day than you would usually pay in two weeks for reasonable access to the internet.
Rooms quite nice and clean. Only complaint: terrible mirror/lighting over the bathroom basin and no mirror in the bedroom. Nowhere good for ladies to put on makeup. Nice business center. No lobby and sometimes front desk understaffed but always very pleasant.
Great location. Awesome and chic decor. Friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very clean. The room had a musty, almost sour smell. There is also a lack of soundproofing. I could clearly hear the conversation in the room next to mine.
Friendly staff, good location - close to Grand Central for the subway, good restaurants, take aways and supermarkets in the surrounding streets, close to the UN
Stuff remembered me immediately, it was very nice. The room does not have a bathroom but I could use the shared bathroom whenever I wanted to.
room was well equipped and well furnished. not large but stylish, and the location was great
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, location close to everything. Discount on nearby parking (about half price) when the hotel stamps your parking ticket. We had no complaints during our stay.
Absolutely great location within walking distance of Grand Central Terminal, Empire State Building, Central Park, Time Square, and basically anything you need. The subway nearby gives perfect access to any other part of the city. The staff was super friendly and willing to suggest activities for first time visitors. Overall, a wonderful experience. The price is more expensive than we are used to paying normally but overall, the price is very comparable to others in the area.
The hotel did not know about the reservation. The guy at the front desk sayed that the reservation was for the 15th instead for the 14th. Luckily, there were rooms available and I was eccepted.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
The cost for this location is incredible. Short walk to Times Square/Madison Square Garden/Empire State Building/Rockefeller Center/etc. Room was very clean, as was the shared bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed was small for trying to fit 2 people, so I just slept on the floor.
Location was excellent. Front desk clerk gave us perfect recommendation for breakfast. I had no idea what to expect of a shared bathroom. It was fine, but I probably will not do it again.
The location is very convenient. I felt secure in the neighborhood. Short distance from Grand Central Station. One block a pharmacy, breakfast cafeteria, Coffee place, restaurant, next door burger place, etc. I did not know that they had rooms to share a bathroom. I booked that by mistake but was lucky that they had a room with a bathroom, and got the upgrade for $80.00. per night. The location was worth it.
Complementary breakfast was was skimpy.
that it was a suite with a kitchenette
Very nice hotel, large room, and extremely pleasant staff. Hard to say it was a deal at $289/night, but it is NY. I've stayed in lousy places for $200/night, so I'd gladly take this option. I highly recommend.
Extremely friendly staff; super-clean rooms that were good in size for NYC and the workout facilities were clean. The usual hotel soaps, shampoos, etc. were all Aveda products, which were a nice touch. Reviews I'd read before booking said the breakfast was nothing special and that was accurate. It was a continental breakfast - coffee, juice, toast/bagels, yogurt and cottage cheese. For the price it would have been nicer to have at least cereal and/or oatmeal with milk as an option.
It was a small hotel and very quiet. The breakfast needs some upgrading.
Good sized room with good facilities. Friendly and efficient staff who made you most welcome. Lifts that were fast and efficient. Excellent internet facilities
Doorman - Matthew Kelly - excellent. Over crowded breakfast room.
The hotel was in a great area, convenient to everything! It was a really nice hotel and staff were friendly and extremely helpful!
Excellent staff, easy to get to the hotel, location couldn't be better breakfast wasn't good enoguh, some fruit or cereal would be apreciated
The staff is very helpful with whatever your needs are, the rooms are very clean and the hotels location is great. (5 min walk from 5th avenue) The breakfast was, as most hotels abroad, not up to norwegian standards.
Staff was great. Location was perfect for us. We would stay there again Did not get king rooms. We were told it was upon request. Nothing in our paper work indicated this.
The staff was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free Wifi and breakfast a real bonus! Close to subway stations. Great Location!! Construction noise next door is very annoying!!
room cleanliness, pleasant staff, location close to grand central station small lobby, no real nice views of the city
The housekeeping was good. The furnishings in the room were broken and old. Only about half of the electrical outlets worked.
Staff were very rude!!! Front desk, housekeeping, door man.
Terrible. Only good was location. Terrible. Staff was rude as hell. DO NOT STAY HERE!
Clean newly renovated guest rooms, great staff, very good service No clock in the room
This hotel has a great location and classic old-school Manhattan feel. It has a doorman, full bar, and offers room service. While I appreciated the old time Manhattan style, I expected more out of a Hilton in Manhattan. It looks like the rooms haven't been updated in at least 10-15 years. No iPhone dock, no refrigerator, no bath robe. The bed felt hard and springy. They only offer free wifi if you're a Hilton Honors upper level member. I had just come from 4 nights at another Hilton on the West Coast where I received free wifi. Overall, it felt slightly pretentious--as if I was supposed to overlook these things because of the great location. Just because you are running a Hilton in one of the wealthiest ZIP code in the US, does not mean you can provide a subpar product. Oh and our entire floor smelled like marijuana smoke after midnight. I wouldn't stay here again.
Good functional albeit small room. Location good for us. Easy to get cabs. AC was not effective. Did not cool below about 76f no matter the setting
I like the staff, however I did not get my requested room with a few The location of the room
Location, Easy check-in & out, decoration, staff... The jackhammer noise work me up at 1:30AM both mornings..
Everything we needed was there or offered to us. The rooms were a bit drafty, but overall we stayed warm.
Staff was friendly. We felt really welcomed. The shower curtain smelled like wet towel. The AC was not cold enough and was very loud. You can hear every time a door closes in the hallway.
Front desk person was rude and not concerned at all of making us feel welcomed.
Friendly staff. Good location. Small rooms. Thin walls, you can hear you neighbors very clearly. When we arrived the TV remote did not work. the iron in the room did not work properly, and there was a loud noise when the air conditioner was running. We ended up changes rooms.
The room was decent sized. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was Amazing! The hotel was conveniently located. Nothing was included. We got breakfast for one person, one morning, and it cost $41. Everything was extremely overpriced. Drinks, snacks, all of it.
Staff was friendly. Rooms were cleaned quickly and good Breakfast buffet was too expensive
The staff was incredibly helpful with any questions that I had Figuring out how to use the bath. The stopper is actually outside the bathtub.
Convenient to businesses in midtown.
Good location, my room was quite big for NY standards. The room decor was quite nice. Extra sink, coffee machine and iron in the room. Complimentary WIFI is a big plus. The bed was much too soft, my shoulders didn't like it. :-(( There was a stange unpleasant smell when I entered the room first time. There was no tube stopper. The button for the lift in the lobby can kick you a bit. Interior is nice but rather old.
The hotel room was nicely furbished Regrettably the room was very noisy so it was difficult to sleep! The breakfast room was very tiny and you had to queue to get in
The combination of American comfort and European slightly quirky sophistication makes you feel at home. Staff was very friendly and proud to serve. I didn't have time for the movies, books and arts but it gives a great touch to being there. no!
Nice hotel but the best was the location Only complaint was that my room did not have a DVD player although the hotel info book listed a couple hundred DVDs available for free viewing. Normally this would not be a big deal but one evening we were tired and just wanted to watch a movie for a couple of hours. With the cost of DVD player under $50, adding them to all the rooms would not be that costly.
Location, room, bed, staff air condition system 9very old) did not work very well, and hot water at shower was unstable (spams of cold and hot water) , very old faucets.
the room was nice it was clean and the lady that cleaned the room was very helpful and asked every day if she could do anything for us as a regular visitor to newyork this was a first the lobby was very shabby and could do with up dating after all its the first place you see
Location, on-site bar and cafe, easy internet, excellent beds Minor criticisms - bathroom/bath could be updated and heating could be easier to control/turn off.
the lounge area and jazz music the hotel was overheated and rooms very old fshioned
This hotel was so clean and beautiful, with comfortable beds and complimentary pillow service which we loved trying!! The staff was so friendly and helpful, gave great advice and recommendations on food and directions, and took great care of us! My only complaint would be that the wifi is so expensive, $62, but since it was our first time staying at the Benjamin, the concierge attendant was kind enough to comp that for us.
Spacious room for ny standards and price. Very helping staff, especially the concierge and nice lobby.
The hotel has a good location. The bell service is appropriate. In my personal opinion the hotel is a bit overpriced.
A terrific small hotel with helpful staff, high standards and human scale.
The staff was incredibly helpful and pleasant. They even sent my Mom a birthday cake up to the room with no prompting from me. They just overheard us talking about her birthday. Very nice.
Good location; nice rooms; excellent, helpful staff Pull-out sofa not very comfortable;
my room after I forced the front desk to give me a bigger room the original small room
Central to the places I needed to visit. Reasonable price for New York City.
Room rate Location
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful
What a Fab hotel, Staff Friendliness, Great Location, Large Suite,
Personal service from front desk staff was wonderful. On our arrival William sent milk and cookies to my girls who thought that was great.
