Very comfortable, cozy bed, with quality mattress and bedding. Great location. Speedy, polite left-luggage service. Way too intimate a space for two people unless you're really, really close. And even then you better not be claustrophobic or have a lot of stuff. You could practically touch all four walls standing in the middle of the room. The bathroom has a not-sealed or soundproof, sliding frosted glass door, like a shower, with no privacy whatsoever. Snotty eye-rolling wenches with attitude at the front desk on check-in, but extremely nice gentleman at check-out almost made up for it.
Clean, good location Not enough elevators, pretty loud at night
Clean, compact and great for an overnight business trip You have to request an iron and ironing board ... other than that, it's fine.
Great location, yes the rooms are small hence the name Pod however you're in New York, you're not really spending much time in them. The rooms are very modern and the shower is great.
Location Everything other than location
well designed, efficient and a good price.
location, honesty of one of the staff telling us not to eat there. e-mailed me one price, when I got to hotel, quoted me another price.
Great location, at an NYC cheap price. The room got completely dark at night. I couldn't hear much noise from the street or any noise from other rooms. The hotel itself was well kept and I felt safe. The comforter on the bed was only mostly clean, and the door to the bathroom was dirty also. You can clearly hear whatever is going on in the hallway, even when your door is closed. The bed wasn't sower comfortable.
I really enjoyed my stay at Pod39. The hotel was very nicely decorated, definitely a "trendy" hotel. I know they have many room options - I stayed in the bunk bed room which was very small and New York-like. The beds were really comfortable. I would most recommend this place for people traveling alone or with a small group (although the bigger rooms might be good for families - there is a bar/restaurant attached to the lobby, though, so keep that in mind). The price was quite good for an NYC hotel, and the location was great - I was able to walk to all the Broadway theatres as well as Koreatown near Herald Square. Also fairly close to a subway station and Grand Central. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay here again! The room was so small there was no ironing board - I didn't ask the front desk what my options were because my clothes weren't that badly wrinkled, so there may be a way to get your clothes ironed. It's not that big of a deal, really!
In a city where 3 star hotels are above $250 per night, POD 39 rises at a fenominal location, with modern clean and fresh look at a fraction of the price.... Staff is excellent and the rooms are small- cruise ship size, but that's a great compromise for the bvenefits you get... HVAC system was great and the shower is the best ever.... Some of the electrical outlets didnt work and could not be fixed..
Great shower and comfortable bed. Awesome location. Very small. Needed one more mirror and had a great place on the empty wall above the desk. Peep hole in the door had been pushed out and was filled with toilet paper. Bathroom sink was clogged up and wouldn't drain even after maintenance supposedly fixed it. Didn't have extra rolls of toilet paper and had to go to front desk to request more. Also no ice machine. Had to go downstairs to the bar and they looked at us like we were crazy when we ask them for a cup of ice.
We loved the layout of the room, the cleanliness, the speed of the elevators. Even staying directly next to the elevator wasn't a problem. Staff were very nice. The glass wall separating the bathroom from the bedroom is a big problem for us. I can't think of anyone I'd be comfortable staying in this room with. If I were alone, it'd be great.
Staff were all very friendly the hotel interior was outstanding with a style and appearance from a different era. Rooms a bit small but understand in NYC you don't get a lot for your money.
Reception area was beautiful. Rooms are very dated and I had the unfortunate experience of staying beside a suite and the the people staying it in liked to party in it until 5.30am. Kitchen was adjoined to my room and heard every footstep and every word. Reception offer me to move rooms at 5.30am rather than asking the guests to have some respect for others. Never again.
Goegeous hotel, luxourious. A bit impersonal, had to get a ticket to get a bellhop to take bags to room - not clear where to get ticket from so didnt do this. Paying this much a bell hop should be at the door when you arrive to take your bas up the large staircase. No computers for internet - needed own laptop to use internet. Location not nearly like I thought - had to walk quite a few blocks to get to central part, times square, etc. Close to Fifth Ave shops which was good.
Location Overcharged for a bottle of water
The hotel staff were very friendly, easy to approach and very helpful. Amazing hotel. Nothing.
The Waldorf is a fabulous hotel. We loved everything about this hotel. The decor was amazing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. I cant praise this hotel and the staff enough.
Arranged the visit for the 60th birthday of my sister and were both very pleased to receive a bottle of wine in the room- a very kind gesture ,thankyou! Staff always very courteous and helpful. Would be nice to have tea making facilities in room, otherwise can't think of anything more!
location, comfort, architecture, and the history! pitiful tv reception, no free internet access from room
The staff were very helpful The room was comfortable but not luxurious.
A very poor experience The rooms were all 1970's needs a major refurbishment
The name Waldorf Astoria There is no intimacy .. too big! A bit cold ..
Lovely location, very good service. The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite poor in comparison. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Had a problem with checking in....had the reservation under the wrong name. Didn't like breakfast in Oscars...the food was poor and the coffee was cold
It is successfully located - in the center of Manhattan, near to city centre and sights Stopped in 5* parts of hotel. All strongly become outdated, noise both from street, and from the lift and hotel, the sanitary technician and other demands serious reconstruction. Full not conformity to the price offer. A level 3* plus.
We think this is the best boutique hotel in New York. Impeccable service, historic surroundings, magnificent public rooms. Great room service food. A bit pricey, but so is everything in NYC.
The views from our tower room were amazing. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would especially like to thank Ces for his personalised service, even though the shuttle did not not pick us up. We were given the wrong information regarding where to board our shuttle service and consequently, missed our transfer to the airport. The shuttle service was rung by reception at the hotel, but the company told us we had been given the wrong information as to where to meet the shuttle and they were not willing to provide us with another service to the airport. We then had the added expense of a taxi fare to JFK, to meet our flight. I did not appreciate this. Also, given the cost of accommodation, I would like to have seen internet access built into the price, not as an additional cost to the customer.
thanks for the great service.
Convenient location to everything we were doing and the Molton Brown products are terrific! It's a luxurious hotel and a lovely interlude from the chaos of Manhattan. We asked for some champagne flutes and the ones we received were delivered dirty. We called and asked for replacements and it took well over an hour to receive them - at that point we had washed the flutes ourselves in the bathroom sink.
We architecture of the overall hotel was very elegant. And the rooms were nicely appointed with unique furniture. Charging for Internet access
Location, good neibourhood , good loung and snack shop . Also rooms were good side and clean with proper functioning bathroom. I wish they had a sit down restaurant of their own. Although they are close to restaurants on the street.
location room wasnt clean properly by housekeeping
Location, ambiance, service, view, gym, and food. Mail room services and the Bellman Station appeared to be during us a favor when we asked to have our bags stored after check-out. The rest of the staff in my experience were helpful and pleasant, especially Housekeeping and Room service!!
Staff was great, service excellent, rooms were huge in the Tower No coffe in room, very pricey to have sent to your room
Large rooms, excellent location
area elegance cost of room service! lack of dining areas for served breakfast/lunch
Nice ambiance. Good elevators to get to room efficiently Poor housekeeping. Bathroom smelled musty. They forgot to leave washcloths one time. Then forgot to leave shampoo another time. When we called for shampoo to shower took 1.5 hours to come. Also asked for blankets when checked in which never came.
Our room directly overlooked St. Patrick's Cathedral and it was gorgeous. The room was spacious (unusual for NY), clean and comfortable. There's a wonderful café right off the beautiful hotel lobby for specialty coffees and French pastries, and the fitness center is amazing. Plenty of bar/restaurants within walking distance, as are many of the tourist attractions such as Rock Center. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will look into staying there again. There was nothing that I disliked about this hotel, although I would have preferred a lower internet rate (it is $16/day).
Staff was very cordial and gave excellent customer service. Charge for Wi-Fi was unexpected for a $700 a night room.
Nothing Up all night with bad radiator. Phones did not work or they did not pick up. Rooms are old and dated. Elevator takes forever. $52 for a basic continental breakfast. Go to a diner
Loved the building, esp. the ceilings, the nostalgic feel and accommodating staff, Location is excellent too. Bathrooms are small and old. Elevators are very slow. Some repairs needed.
Good location, nice lobby, Good complimentary toiletries Bathroom small, outdated, with no space to lay personal stuff. Floor seemed to be dirty. Carpet very dusty on the edges, corners and behind the bed. It looks like the housekeeper doesn't have a canister vacuum to reach those places. Bad smell coming from moldy air conditioner. Front desk didn't respond our calls, we ask for a coffee maker to the bell man but they never brought it. We called the bell man for somebody to bring us the kart but they never came. Overall staff is friendly but not efficient.
Hotel needs a PIP!
Front desk staff.
The Lobby was beautiful! Tiny room for the price and rather gloomy
Extremely small rooms. Loud air conditioner. Needs work
Gorgeous lobby and exterior. Fantastic location. Tiny room, lower grade bath & shower items...didn't feel like I'd get great customer service from the room experience.
We stay only for 1night and it was great, location is incredibleand the hotel staff was so nice and helpful with is. The only problem it was the charge for the wifi I never use, its too expensive. Everything else was so nice and perfect. I could said that if I go again to the city and decide to stay in a hotel probably The Roosevelt will be an option.... WIFI charge of $16.00 that I jever use....
I went with my girlfriend and her 17yr old sister. Everything was perfect. The front desk personnel were more then accommodating and the room was beautiful. the hotel itself was great. I couldn't have asked for anything more!!
The bed was very comfortable. Yes I was just surprised by the sheer number of things wrong. As we walked in we both thought. This is beautiful. As we checked in I was told I booked a king bed and I stated I booked a double. I showed the woman ( name omitted) my reservation and she said that a double room just means two people. Fine fine my mistake, I moved on. When we got to the room the heater was making a noise that sounded like an animal was in it. The shower frame was not attached to the wall, the shower door had no way to pull it closed from the inside, the shelf in the bathroom was slanted downward, as was the top of the toilet tank so nothing staying on it. I am a normal sized woman and I was I a difficult time getting dressed in the bathroom due to size. Check out is st noon as in many hotels, at 9 there was a knock on the door. When I answered it the cleaning staff was there and asked when I was checking out. I told them 12. At 1049 there was a knock again, the same staff member asked when I was leaving. Now you may say did you say anything... I tried. I tried calling twice ( was only there one night) no answer and wentdownstairs countless times, but as I was on a quick fun trip I didn't want to waste time. I was just surprising disappointed my my stay and it was compounded when I checked out and then checked into my next hotel, that for only 30 $ more, I not only had the amenities of a " normal room, I was actually given a premier room with a view, corner ceiling to floor windows, A kitchenette, complimentary unlimited filtered water, complimentary breakfast and a staff that was above and beyond. All of this just a few minutes from the roisevelt.
Elevators painfully slow. Staff overwhelmed. Wait for elevator, wait for coffe, wait for front desk, wait for cab. Outdated room. Problem with keys working. Unexpected $16 a day charge. Will never stay here again.
The View, we had a fantastic view of both the Empire State building and the Chyrsilier. We were on the 40th floor and were able to also see the skyline of Manhattan. The service of all staff was excellent and the room was large, comfortable, warm and relaxing. We would definately recommend and return to this hotel any time we visit NY.
The small bar in the lobby. Friendly staff Good general location Too expensive for outdated rooms especially bathroom. Internet connectivity could be better and included in the price.
View of the east river. Small, odly shaped rooms. Door opens into a narrow passage so you have to do a dance to get into the room. Windows are small, so feel cramped inside.
This hotel offers a good location at an affordable price. The rooms also provided excellent views. The beds were very comfortable. Overall the hotel was really not very clean at all. The walls could use a good scrub or new coat of paint. The bathroom was not clean either. I think that a number of the housecleaning staff are elderly and that might be the reason that the rooms were not as clean as I had hoped they would be.
Clean, very friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Wall were thin, we could hear entire conversations going on at all times.
Location -- close to UN where our meeting was held; Small, crowded lobby; no bell boy service for luggage; only one courtesy phone in the lobby;
Great beds, good shower and good location, what else do you need!!!
Great staff loved the security dog in lubby To get in shower was quote slippery and shower head in a weird place
Beautiful hotel, great location Put in a smoking room even though we requested a non smoking room,
I was not happy with my stay at all my room and bath room were dirty
Charging for Internet use! No room service from 12 to 1630!
the bed is very comfortable if we hadn't set alarms would have slept the whole day. the amenities in the room alone are a nice add. the staff was efficient and helpful. there were gnats in the shower and when we checked out and had to leave the bags at the desk the bellman took about 20 minutes to show up and help us.
Location was great and staff were courteous. Decor is modern. Shower was dirty on arrival with hair from prior guest. When arriving we turned on the lights and a cockroach scurried across the floor. The room was hot and The air conditioner didn't work.
The complimentary happy hour in the lobby was a nice treat for hotel guests. Although, there seemed to be many attendees who were not hotel guests. I didn't like the smell in the hotel or my room. It smelled like pets and found out later the hotel was pet friendly - not a fan. I also didn't care for the decor in the hallways or room I stayed in. It seemed very dated and in desperate need of some modern updating. I also felt the complimentary toiletries were very disappointing and so was the $5.99 charge for printing tickets from a desk computer (labeled business center - very weak). The housekeeping service was very, very noisy each morning and the rooms weren't cleaned up to normal hotel standards.
Older building, recently updated. Lots of charm, yet very modern. Location wad terrific. Hotel was spotless. Pillows on bed were small.
They charge $14.95 for wifi in your room. The Lobby furniture is very old no back support. & Very saggy
Nice staff very helpful great experience front desk excellent would recommend highly
Whenever I visit NYC, I always stay at Affinia. Great hotel. Friendly staff, large clean rooms. Excellent location.
Clean and spacious room The only reason why i booked this hotel is for the rooftop and you guys completly ruined my stay by closing the rooftop for a private event the ONE day i booked. Good to know that no matter how much cash you shell out youll still get beat over the head because of rich people wanting to close off a whole area of a hotel. Horriible experience.
Great location and valet parking
Staff and room.
The rooms were large and well appointed. They were clean and quiet. A bit dark decor and lighting in the lobby area.

Great amenities, excellent staff, and perfect location.
Location to Grand Central Not a 4 star hotel. Rooms were tiny. Really a Club Quarters too.
Great central location immediately adjacent to Grand Central Terminal. Staff were very police and the rooms and common areas were clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Location and staff Room size

Room and bathroom was very clean. Great staff. The internet TV did not work properly. There was no iron and ironing board in the room - you had to go to a common area to grab one. Strange.
Rooms are clean and well designed. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to buses, subway and the Grand Central Station. I particularly like the arrangement with a nearby garage, where I placed my car at a rate about half the normal 24-hour rate.

Small, but modern, comfortable and clean room. Great location. Staff and management inattentive and unresponsive or helpful. No services in this hotel although attached to an excellent restaurant, Davios. There is NO WAY this is a 4 star hotel.
Location is great- close to grand central station and to to many attractions. The bed was disappointing. I could feel the springs on the mattress, it is either very old, or poor quality, or both. I moved to the side closest to the wall and it helped.
I love the location of this hotel, the lounge on the 27th floor, the quiet space on the 2nd floor, sufficient electrical outlets in the room, and the water bottles! Nope. This is my preferred hotel when in NY on business.
Staff very prompt, room was not as booked but problem was dealt with very quickly. Even though we were on the 16 floor it was still very noisy
Clean, confortable, well located and has everything you need (from iron to shampoo and shuttle) Has no access for wheelchairs and the stairs of the entrance are complicated if you have heavy luggage.
plenty of room the road works but that's New York
Very close to Grand Central Station and the Metro and also a good location for walking to many of the major attractions.
Friendly clean and fantastic location
location the sink in the bathroom was too small.
Location beside central station, suite was big and had fridge and coffee maker which is essistial when u have been out shopping all day Could have drinks machine in lobby (bottle water etc)
the closeness to Grand central and the faclities of central New York could not be better bathrooms could do with an upgrade but a relatively minor problem
Excellent Location for city break. View from room window.
Large suite but basic and near Grand Central and perfectly adequate for a city trip. Hotel needs a makeover. No double glazing so rooms at front has lots of traffic noise. No blankets in room or spare pillows. Old and tired! We asked concierge about travel detais on the subway and he simply shrugged his shoulders and left us to find out ourselves.
Location Room smelled, they tried to not offer our booked room type. Even after calling and confirming the day of.
We were on the 36th floor and most of the elevators were broken during our stay. Was difficult getting to and from our room. We had to use the service elevator many times.
Great position for tourists sights. Direct access to to the subway and Grand Central Terminist and food hall. Very expensive
Clean room, very nice cleaning staff. Front desk people pretty ho hum . Slow elevators during peak times. Not all elevators working. Kept stopping at floors for people with override keys. Very expensive hotel overall, hotel ( hotel rate), food ($4.50 for a cup of tea at the cafe on the main floor & you have to make it yourself!)
Great room. Clean. Comfy bed. Limited view.
staff very helpful elevators out of svce at times
Great access to grand central station, i.e. don't even have to go outside. Beautiful modern lobby, with dedicated elevators, so short wait times. Nice rooms, modern. Black mildew inside shower curtain. Did not swap out all towels after first evening so had to have face cloths and hand towels delivered. Maids talking in hallway while cleaning rooms early in the morning (my biggest pet peave).
Very good ambiance in lobby and also bedroom. Very nice experience during entire stay. Closer access to all main attractions & restaurants in NewYork. Value for money in major city. No hotel valet parking so need to find other valet parking nearby.
Location was excellent. Lack of options in the neighbourhood for affordable food, unless you wish to tempt fate and eat from a cart of death on the street. Gave us some credit for our hot room. Room was hot, hot, hot. Ac could not keep up. Went down to front desk to ask for assistance. They tried to find a fan but could not( 2:30 am don't blame them). The next day we had to get maintenance up the next day and they found us a fan.
proximity to train station, snack bar in lobby, restaurant just up from the lobby dirty bathroom floor, poor unkeep in bathroom--sloppy caulking around shower door, built-up crud around shower area, couldn't get into shower without walking directly under shower head. Worst problem was the "modern" touch light switches---couldn't leave a light on in the bathroom to see your way there in the middle of the night. Difficult to use all lights. Dark décor--depressing and dark wallpaper installed poorly--all you noticed were the seams in the wallpaper
Location Cleanliness Restaurant organization Front desk layout
This location is awesome!!! Can not beat it! Room was too hot and would not cool Elevators were SLOW - seemed liked only one was working
Great location, comfy beds Initial room was unmade, shower was clogged, but issues were rectified immediately when brought to their attention Wifi is not free
Nice efficient hotel and very conveniently located. The room was of okayish size. The attached washroom was rather awkward - can't lock the door and the wash basin was too small leading to water spilling all over the place. One day the room could not be cleaned and when we complained, the manager himself came for the apology and also offered compensating action which was very nice of him.Elevators are quick. Washroom
Very close to the subway and Grand Central Station. 24 hour luggage storage after checkout and the staff was very friendly. It is on a busy street due to the location and you can hear some traffic from the room but it wasn't too loud, especially for NYC it wasn't too bad.
Easy access to Grand Central and in the heart of NYC.
Elizabeth in housekeeping was a tremendous help in getting bedding and towels for us!!! She was pleasant while we were all very angry about the bed situation. Thank you Elizabeth! Long wait for checkin. Need more staff at front desks. I reserved a room with 2 double beds for 4 people. I called twice to confirm and reiterate that I wanted 2 double beds. At checkin I said I needed 2 double beds(this was at 1:30pm) Receptionist said yes I see that is what you requested. I was told room was not ready and they would call be about 3pm when room was ready which they did. Again, a long wait for receptionist, she gave me keys to room which had a king size bed and pull out sofabed!!! I called front desk to get a room with 2 double beds as I requested and they said they had no more and because I booked with a third party (travelocity) they could do nothing about it as rooms are not guarenteed (bed types). I am angry about this situation and will rethink ever staying at a Westin hotel and I will also rethink about using travelocity.
only bad thing was the small rooms other than that it was good
Near to Grand Central Roadside noise was too loud
Hotel stay was right on point after a long day thanks
FYI the rooms are real real small. Didn't bother me.
Hotel was fantastic. BIG, clean room, we had a Jr. Suite and the wine hour in the lounge was great. Considering the location and the price, I don't think we could have done better.
room and towels wee clean and shower was pleasant. the wifi is expensive to purchase. reserved a king bed was told that i an only get room with the double. Heat was terrible in winter NYC could not get heat tried to change room but the heat situation was the same..
Building is not so high, having a ballcony is a good value, the location is good, hotel is safe enough
Staff were very nice! Clean room!
The room, on the 3rd floor overlooking the front entrance, was spacious by NY standards & well equipped. The room was very clean & the bed as very comfortable with a choice of pillows. Staff were helpful & polite. On the downside because the room was on the 3rd floor it was quite noisy during the night with refuse trucks & deliveries etc. NY is a busy place though so I don't think it's the hotels fault.
i loved the room and its furnishings i loved the location i loved the concierge staff i did not find the front desk staff particularly helpful or inclined to help with standard questions or requests the street noise on the 5th floor was pretty extreme, in so far as construction could be felt through the bed at all hours of the day and night.
The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic. The rooms were very very clean with room service each morning. The bell men were extremly friendly. The location was perfect and safe.No fuss just want you want from a hotel No not a thing.
Very good rooms, large with plenty of space for three people in each suite. Good kitchen facilities within the suite with all amenities.Small bathrooms. The staff were excellent very helpful and friendly.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and well appointed, the location was great, handy to everything.
The location was perfect, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room (suite) was spacious considering how small some NYC hotel rooms can be. Although this can't be avoided, the two elevators servicing all 23 floors were slow.
The staff was outstanding! The room was large, clean and easy to do work on business projects, read and relax in. It was quiet. Convenient location with good restaurants nearby.
Helpful staff Error on booking + noisy
Excellent location, quick service, helpful staff! the gym is very hot and the ceiling of the gym is low.
Location Taxes but no thotels fault
Friendly and accommodating staff Room service only till 10pm
Friendliness of staff. Cleaning service wasn't very punctual.
New renovated reception area makes it more attractive. One day iur room remained not cleaned.
the staff were very fiendly and accommodating. Steve in particular was great to us. The warm cookies on arrival were magic!!! Location of the hotel is magic, with the subway only 5 m across the road.
Very pleasant staff at check-in, loved the cookie. No complaints.
It was great we had a warm cookies on arrival!!! Highhhhh five! Nothing at all
Bed was very comfortable - A/C was was in good working order-- Hotel Staff were (especially for NYC) helpful and pleasant. No coffee maker in the room. (Though there's a Starbucks across the street)
Sometime there was a Bellboy at the entrance to help with the luggage!! Every request had to be repeated 3-4 times
Room size was bigger than avg. in NYC Mattress was comfortable Zero noise on 14F TV was great quality Pillows were uncomfortable to rest on. Nothing else we found uncomfortable or bad to review. that's it. SP
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in! The room was very large for NYC and the shower head (rain shower) in the bathroom was amazing!! I also liked that there was a long hallway separating the door, bathroom, closet and vanity from the bedroom. Great location - close to Grand Central. There was a wonderful breakfast place a couple of blocks away (Zucker's) that we visited a couple of times - excellent quality and price. I was only able to reserve a King size bed online and would have liked 2 double beds. The hotel was going to accomodate us with 2 beds, but wanted $50 more a night. They did upgrade us to a larger studio that had 2 comfortable chairs and a table, which was great!
Unbelievably, my tiny room did not have a dresser. When I inquired about this the indifferent desk manager told me that the smaller rooms sometimes did not come with one! Living in this room out of my bag for five nights was a joy. Upon check out, there were three different staff members at the desk, none of whom could comprehend that there was not a dresser. So they went to check it out --- and big surprise, no dresser. (Apparently they were concerned that I was blind.) No apology, no offer of discount, no reasonable explanation. Had it not been a completely packed week in New York, I would have fled the first night. Oh, the shades didn't work properly either. Never again.
Staff was amazing, room was fabulous. I usually stay at the Dream-Downtown and the rooms here are bigger (as is the bathroom). Overall a great value for my money. No actual lobby or bar to hang out in..
Room size comfort cleanliness and contemporary A little further from Times Square than I expected and the staff was unfriendly
The room was bigger than we anticipated. It was really big. The location is great; very close to grand central station. It was quiet and better than staying in times square. There were several restaurants near by and 5th avenue was just a few blocks away. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. We were pleased. The fixtures in the bathroom were coming off the walls. Cleanliness was a tiny bit off. Looked like either blood or ketchup on the curtains (I am going with ketchup). Need to stay above 7th floor or you will hear the music from the lounge. Could have used a microwave/refrigerator.
14th floor room was VERY quiet. Great for NYC.
friendly staff queen bed advertised as king
The bed was really comfortable and the room very quiet for New York. I think the shower was recently renovated and was terrific. The rain-style shower head was mounted high so that you didn't have to duck under it and there was also shower wand if you needed it. I also loved that the HD TV had HD cable so that we weren't constantly watching images that were squeezed or stretched. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The only negative was that they're remodeling the bar and restaurant so there was no food or drink available other than room service and the continental breakfast. When that's finished it should be a big improvement.
Issue with we form in first two categories. I was a business/solo traveler. The rating section was operating.
The space of the suite. The bathroom is outdated.
view from balcony overlooked dirty extractor fans
Very spacious well equipped rooms. Great breakfast in the formidable penthouse 31st floor with a great view.
the rooms were great, spacious. there was a kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave
Poor elevator service, no view from our room.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kimberly Hotel. We found all the staff to be helpful and our suite was absolutely perfect for our wedding anniversary. The bed was too die for and very comfortable. The kitchenette was suitable for our needs and allowed us too store some food and drink in the fridge. The rooms were cleaned daily even though we didnt leave our room till after midday. The rooftop bar is also a lovely place to unwind at the end of the evening. An all round excellent hotel and we highly recommend staying here.
Best room I have ever had in New York, large clean and bright with a good size bathroom with a bath. The bar on the roof has amazing views of the city and is very pretty You cannot get a room before 3pm and even at 3pm they keep you waiting a further half an hour
The cleaning wasn't good enough. The day of departure they knocked on our door at 8.45 am to ask when we would leave the room. That isn't good when you have the room until 12 on the departure day.
Beautiful decor, very comfortable, good sized room, friendly staff. When they knew we were coming for my birthday, they upgraded us from a room to a suite at no extra cost. Location is fantastic, close to everything.Would definitely recommend and will be returning for sure. No kettle in kitchen.
We thought the place was clean and a good value for the money spent. It was an excellent location. Room was small but we expected that in NYC.
A lot of street noise and elevator noise from my room Are there any Whitehouse options?
Everything works. Very efficient use of space. Nice restaurant downs stairs. GREAT location across the street from GCT. No front desk to speak of. Off putting at first, but it works well.
The 27th floor lounge
Nice staff Generally clean Great Restaurant A great basic hotel for someone on business by themselves who does not need many extras. No real hotel lobby Machine coffee No real concierge Very small room for a couple with 2 suitcases No real breakfast (snack bars put out)
Excellent staff, easy to get to the hotel, location couldn't be better breakfast wasn't good enoguh, some fruit or cereal would be apreciated
The staff is very helpful with whatever your needs are, the rooms are very clean and the hotels location is great. (5 min walk from 5th avenue) The breakfast was, as most hotels abroad, not up to norwegian standards.
Complementary breakfast was was skimpy.
It was a small hotel and very quiet. The breakfast needs some upgrading.
Very nice hotel, large room, and extremely pleasant staff. Hard to say it was a deal at $289/night, but it is NY. I've stayed in lousy places for $200/night, so I'd gladly take this option. I highly recommend.
The staff was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free Wifi and breakfast a real bonus! Close to subway stations. Great Location!! Construction noise next door is very annoying!!
Staff was great. Location was perfect for us. We would stay there again Did not get king rooms. We were told it was upon request. Nothing in our paper work indicated this.
The hotel was in a great area, convenient to everything! It was a really nice hotel and staff were friendly and extremely helpful!
that it was a suite with a kitchenette
Extremely friendly staff; super-clean rooms that were good in size for NYC and the workout facilities were clean. The usual hotel soaps, shampoos, etc. were all Aveda products, which were a nice touch. Reviews I'd read before booking said the breakfast was nothing special and that was accurate. It was a continental breakfast - coffee, juice, toast/bagels, yogurt and cottage cheese. For the price it would have been nicer to have at least cereal and/or oatmeal with milk as an option.
Doorman - Matthew Kelly - excellent. Over crowded breakfast room.
Good sized room with good facilities. Friendly and efficient staff who made you most welcome. Lifts that were fast and efficient. Excellent internet facilities
Great location! Hotel was within walking distance of pretty much everything! Staff was extremely friendly & accomodating. when in NY again for fun, this would be the first place I would look to book. Not overpriced but still seemed like a luxury stay. Thanks Marriott! Nothing. the stay was amazing
Hotel was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean with very comfortable bed. Very close to the sites. 10 minute walk from Rockefeller, 20 minute to Time Square. Very safe area, would definitely recommend.
