The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Location was conveniently close to subways and had great selection of restaurants nearby. Fire alarm rang three times in the middle of the night (1am) and ruined a good nights sleep for me when I had to get up early for work. Was not happy about that. No explanation was made, just a 'false alarm'.
The room size was goI'd especially for NYC. Hotel is new which is a bonus.elevators are fast. Close walk to little Italy and lower east side bars. Grand street subway is only a few blocks away. The bathroom shower gets everything wet! Poor design. Rooftop bar has a $50 minimum per person to go on the patio. Lame! We are hotel guests we shouldn't be restricted if we just wanna go for one drink. No view in lower rooms.

Very convinced for me Too expensive for me
The room was wonderful. Small in square footage, but an entire wall of floor to ceiling windows created an exceptional 'sense of place' overlooking downtown NYC. The bathroom was relatively large. The AC worked well. The location was great! We would have liked more than one chair in the room. The rooftop bar was 'off limits' unless we were willing to pay $50 cover in advance…it was a curious situation. The rooftop bar was one of the 4-star amenities that we looked forward to accessing
The staff was friendly and it was relatively clean. Masking tape held tiles to the walls in the bathroom. The coffee machine was old and dirty. The room wouldn't stay warm. The showers could also use a redesign. Because they are open, water splashes all over the bathroom floor.
Great location in the middle of Chinatown with good walking access to most of the hot spots in the LES. No complaints.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to help me get what I wanted, whether it was a quiet room (which I had) or to repair a lightbulb (which they did within 15 minutes of my request). The yoghurt parfait had canned fruit and very little granola. It needs an upgrade.

Central location. Also near a park for residents, good also for visitors. Delux room size,a bit on the small size. Bathroom shower facilities, a bit stiff to turn on. Need force and the shower will splash on you.
the hotel was located in China town, which is why we chose it. We love the huge variety of food in that area of Manhattan, and the delicious, cheap food options. The room itself wasn't huge, but it's Manhattan, you should expect that. they should really reconsider their showers. I was't terribly bothered by the fact that water would run out onto the floor, but we were just keeping towels on the floor and letting room service change them daily. It's wasteful, though.
Easy access and close to Little Italy and Chinatown.
Friendly staff, quiet (in front of a park), nice city view if on the right side. Easily walkable to everywhere. Rooms are not very sound proof. We were lucky as there was minimal movement on our floor, but sound carried a lot into the room. Could be the walls or the metal door itself.
The location! The hotel is opposite the Columbus park. A little park; the whole day mostly Chinese people do their Tai-Chi. But also several different martial arts you can admire.Plus people playing cards, a children's playground.. very good atmosphere. The buzz outside of the regular very intensel NY airconditioning intallations
Beautiful rooms, ensuite and recently refurbished. Excellent sevice. Central location in Manhattan. Good value for money compared with other hotels in New York. Would have liked the choice of a lighter breakfast. I didn't always want eggs, pancakes or french toast. Cereal, toast or just fruit and yoghourt would have been nice some days. Didn't want sweet french toast, but sugar on everything!
near subway, nice rooms wifi was not great.
Loved being steps away from Little Italy and Chinatown. Loved Columbus Park directly across the street and seemingly 100s of amazing restaurants all within 2 blocks.
The beds were amazingly comfy, rooms were clean, good position near the main street. Lovely view of park. Would definately return.
The room is really big and cozy
Easy check in and check out, rooms were very nice and comfortable. The WIFI did not work the whole entire time I was there, called desk they told us that they had reset it still never worked after that
the breakfast and the comfort of the room
The proximity of Hotel Mulberry to some of New York's great neighbourhoods and the fantastic balcony made it a fantastic place to finish our adventure in New York. Staff were very helpful and accomodating for any requests we made.
Excellent price for New York, especially for a new, modern hotel. The location, but acceptable for the lower price paid.
Perfect localization: close to B, D and 4,5,6 trains. Centre of Chinatown with it's unique climat. Close to Soho, Noho etc. Room small but quite comfy. Cleaned every day. Nice and helpful staff. Free wifi and access to computers/printers. Excellent value for money. Breakfasts - better go to the nearest Starbucks.
Noisy, poor breakfast, small room, connecting room (single door between the rooms) generating excessively close with neighbors - you share their conversation, their shower, their TV ...
Comfortable and decent sized rooms. Hotel located in proximity of many attractions in NY. Staff helpful. Lack of non-ethnic supermarkets in the area.
location was great. Lousy breakfast full with cheap stuff. Bed had a showercurtain, really uncomfortable. We asked for a quiet room but were placed across the elevators.. too bad.
Excellent service, the staff was friendly. The room and bathroom was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the area was convenient for china town, greenwich village, financial trade centre, soho, little italy, I walked to all those places. Car ride away from mid town. Excellent area. As a solo lady from london it was a great experience. The hotel will provide with a car if needed. The breakfast room, no joke very small. need a bigger area! People went back to there rooms because it was too small very disappointing.
We stayed for five nights in september-09 at Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge. The service was ok, Breakfast meny was very american with waffles and bagels, but we liked it. The everyday cleaning was without any complains. Very comfortable beds. The hotel is newly renovated so everything was very clean and fresh (includning the bathroom). The location of the hotel was ok, but it's almost in Chinatown, so you have to walk 10-15 minutes to get out of that area. The staff on the hotel could be a little more serviceminded.
The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast area was small, but usually enough. The area (Chinatown) was ok, but maybe a bit too crowded in the day and too deserted at night.
I feel this is a bad experience to me The water pressure for shower is very bad the water seems dripping and slow motion when I called the front desk. They told me a stupid excuse Because I am 11/ fl. So the water usually slow at all. And they may be change the shower head after I check out. They never think should change another room for me. Even I feel it is not comfortable Their name is comfort inn and it is not
Clean Considering NY prices- good value for the money Very close to subway station Comfy Continental Breakfast Very small room
Clean and cosy room with all appropriate amenities, free wi-fi, location close to all attractions of lower Manhattan. One of the best prices for such a hotel in Manhattan. Location in th heart of Chinatown is probably not the thing you expect from staying in NYC.
Impressed nothing..it was worth for money i paid though a bit expensive
location is quite good since it is close to subway. the staff attitude particular the lady (I believe she may be the owner or the senior manager). One morning I met her in the restaurant for breakfast. She warned me I cannot use the paper for put bread in the microoven. In fact, there is no paper plate in the restaurant but it is not the main point. Main point is her manner. Then, she left the restaurant and turn off the light. Oh...my god. I am still in the restaurant and I am the customer. I do not know reason since it is my second time to meet this lady...
All of New York, nothing about the hotel! Everything I didn't like
I already knew the hotel. It's very well located (Lower East side, close to bars, clubs and music venues), clean and recently renovated, and well-priced with regards to other hotels in Manhattan. No remarks here because for that rate one really cannot expect a whole lot of luxury.
Hotel was very clean and staff polite and always ready to help. I liked private bathroom, good bed and TV. They even provided small breakfast. We appriciated that hotel was next to the Brooklyn bridge cause it was very easy to find it:) /Chinatown is quite chaotic/.Great place for everybody who loves chinese cuisine. The smell of food from Chinatown. No Starbucks close to hotel.Subway on the bridge.
Cheaper than many other hotels, croissants and tea included, good tv, bathroom fairly clean Bedsheets quite grubby-looking, bed very hard, shower quite painful, wallpaper rather interesting...
next to Chinatown and to places we wanted to visit the guy at the reception didn't seem too receptive....felt we were disturbing him when we had a question to ask him
Cleaness ,wifi Noisy , no shower had to go to another room for shower
Good veiw)) Housekeeper didt change towels
was really easy to find the bed was like sleeping on a plank of wood, the rooms were very small
Cheapest place in the city! Especially if you are coming to New York to be out on the town, not stuck in a hotel room! You definitely get what you pay for: 5 story walk up with no elevator can leave you winded, especially with luggage. Rooms so tiny that you cannot open the door because the bed is in the way. 2 bathrooms on a floor with 15+ rooms that could hold 2 people each? You do the math, but no matter how you cut it = long bathroom wait times. Also, bathroom cleanliness is nonexistent. When I finally got in, the floor was soaked, the toilet wouldn't flush, and it was full of someone's vomit! Uuugh! Also, I was eaten alive by some sort of insects...my arms, legs, face...I don't know if they are bed bugs, fleas, mosquitoes? Something that left me covered in itchy wealts. So, the place is a steal for the location and price...just know what you are getting yourself into!
Bed bugs! Also, filthy.
Nothing. The room is very small with a grate ceiling that makes the room noisy. There is one shared bathroom on each floor and the rooms are small and very unkept.
Was totaly disaster, DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!!!!!!!
There was a discount for breakfast at a nearby restaurant, "Elevated" which had generous servings of western breakfast. The location, in Chinatown, was less than a mile from where we went to a conference, so that is central to our decision. There was no elevator so we had to climb 4 stories up. No refrigerator or coffee meant we were unable to keep extra food from supper and wait for breakfast for coffee.
The hotel looks more like a whore house, the rooms are very small and you can hear the people in the other rooms, se they will hear you as well. The bathrooms are disgusting I won't recommend this "hotel" to any one.
Great Location! Right in Chinatown! VERY cheap, but you get what you pay for... TINY rooms, and you have to share a bathroom with other guests.
Friendly staff, great location, unbeatable price! It is a non smoking hotel, however someone was smoking and the smell wafted into our room.
It was Really Bad The Room is super tiny didnt like it at all. POOR
What an unusual place! You walk up four long flights, get a bright and clean though windowless cell, find acceptable bathrooms down the hall, and wonder if it's a good idea. The room has tiny cabinet, light, plugs, mattress, sheets, blanket, pillow, trashcan. You were given soap and shower slippers. The floor is locked and your room is locked. Hardware screen for a ceiling to make the HVAC common to all 80 cells and it works well. A number of students with backpacks giving it a hostel feel, though the lower floors have the same design though much older and occupied by local Chinese. Apparently the design is a tenament style housing for single men. Very interesting. Unusual value for Manhattan. Safe. Don't go for the view.
None I would rather sleep outside than sleeping in this hotel
Certainly a value for money choice because I could only stay for a few hours there. Distint (urine) smell in the staircase accessing to the hotel.
000 I very wondered, because I charged twice for this hotel: the first I charged after reservation and the second I charged when check-in. I'm very wondered and it's very horrible!
Proximity to china town It's worst Hotel which I have come across in my life and it's zero return for money. The rooms were extremely small with roof top open, you cannot speak to anyone being in room. Bathrooms were extremely dirty and wet and no soaps, showers were extremely slow. No Toilet papers, common bathrooms are many but all are occupied cause they have 55 rooms on same floor. Which are shared by everyone. I will never recommend an individual for this room. But the guy at reception was very good. Around the street I came across two guys who have done the booking for same Hotel but at mid-night 2:30 am they were denied room as their Room was given to someone else. So overall extremely poor hotel, without any facilities, open roofs (there's iron mesh which is roof of some 55 rooms) but can be good for students who cannot afford more money from china:-)
room as cheap They put me in a cheaper room (that i didn't reserve) and charged me for the room I booked. they filled up all the rooms so i was unable to switch.
You get exactly what you pay for, a very safe, clean and very, very small room about 4 feet wide and 6 feet long. But that is exactly what I wanted, plus an internet connected computer at the end of the hall. Also very, very quiet. Stairway was a bit dirty and there was no elevator up to 5th floor.
The hotel is right in Chinatown, which is one of the most vibrant and interesting neighbourhoods of New York City. There are some great restaurants around. Read the facilities description carefully: these rooms are about 1.5 x 2 metres -- more like renting a shelf than a room. The bathrooms are shared, and there are no elevators. Perfectly fine for the budget-minded single traveller, but be sure you're comfortable with this!
