Convenient location in theatre district, clean rooms, comfortable beds, L'Occitane toiletries, small hotel with friendly staff, great breakfast included
The breakfasts were great on the lovely patio, room was well appointed .(typical nyc small, but lovely). Keurig coffees, responsive staff Of course, no fitness area or pool, but this is a charming boutique place and not supposed to be like that. However, the lack of a lid on the toilet seat in this small bathroom means filthy spray on flushing everywhere, not to mention the constant knocking of stuff into the toilet; one of the dumbest oversights in an otherwise decent hotel room. The ac is average- we were not even there on the hottest of summer days, yet our room was hot and muggier than the hallways. The ac is weak- so if you want a cold and nonhumid room, stay away from here.
The bed was fantastic! Really lovely room and bathroom
The French Quarters Guest Apartments lived up to our expectations and then some. The quaint boutique hotel was perfect for our stay in New York. It offered great location, a clean, comfortable room with some key extras such as a fridge, coffee maker and continental breakfast! We would certainly return! Although the room has a tiny kitchenette there are no amenities to go along with it - dishes, glasses, cutlery etc.
The staff was exceptionally helpful, friendly and accommodating. Their treatment of us as guests was truly wonderful. Room was well laid out and comfortable. The view of the courtyard was lovely. Nothing...just lovely
The location was great, felt like a bed and breakfast in the middle of Manhatten --Was not feeling well - and had to spend more time in our room than would have liked --- thankfully, the room was so beautiful that i was glad we had chosen such a great accomodation we were in room 103 - although the room was beautiful - the noise level at night was extreme --- had we stayed in a room in the back of the hotel it may have been quieter - i was woken 3 times after 1 am with people yelling in the street..... came home exhausted
This is a nice little place that looks more like your apartment than a hotel... No running into crowd at entrance/elevator/hall. A very comfortable atmosphere near Broadway shows and restaurants and central to so many other things. The employees were very helpful and friendly... A very enjoyable stay.
This hotel is very small and the internet does not reflect this clearly enough. Our first night the toilet was blocked so we had to go through the whole night without a toilet working - so we left after the first night and went to a different hotel for both reasons. Could not stay in this small space for 8 nights.
The French Quarters exceeded my expectations!!! The location on Restaurant Row can't be matched. The staff was exceptional..friendly, helpful and efficient!!!! The room was large by nyc standards, well- appointed, clean, well-kept and an absolute fantastic value. I will be going back!
We were in NYC to see a play, dine, and shop. The French Quarters Guest Apartments was located central to everything we wanted to see and do during our brief two day stay. We will stay there again the next time.
It was affordable, good price for NYC.
There was nothing to like. The ratings section of this review forced me to give them a 1 so that I could submit the review. The Gracie Inn deserves a ZERO rating, overall. The hotel was filthy. The room - 306 - was disgustingly filthy and falling apart. It looked like it had not been dusted or sanitized in years from the layers of dirt and grime on everything. There were broken blinds, doors, drawers and cabinets. The kitchenette was beyond dirty, with food stains everywhere. The bed sheets had human hair all over and stains on the pillows. The bathroom had hair everywhere and layers of dust. Housekeeping insisted that they had just "cleaned the room". The housekeeper remade the bed, but I was already in shock from the state of the entire suite. Paint was chipping and pealing off the walls! I have photos documenting all of this. I returned the keys to the drop box immediately and left. I had to inconvenience a friend for a couch to sleep on for the next three nights. The Gracie Inn is a disgrace. The Disgracie Inn is a more suitable name of this place.
