Surprisingly good rate for this prime Central Park South location. Could use updating but was comfortable and quiet.

Ice and coffee all extra. And there is an unavoidable facility fee.

Fabulous location
The hotel is very well-located. It's close to Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, Grand Central Station, MOMA and Central Park. All these are a short walk away. Saks 5th Avenue and Rockefeller Plaza are across the road, the Apple Store and Bloomingdales are also close. It's not quite so well-located for the Guggenheim and the Frick Galleries. There is a much longer walk to these places, but if you don't mind taking a taxi or an Uber, it's fine. The main public spaces have their original 1920s decoration and are lovely! We got a great value deal, which made the hotel a steal!
The bathroom in our standard room was tiny. Literally not enough room to swing a cat. Not good enough for a hotel of this quality. The main bedroom was easily large enough to make the bathroom bigger. It's possibly the smallest bathroom I've ever had in any hotel. I'm not sure it's possible to make it any smaller and still be functional. Decoration of the corridors and rooms is not up to the standard of the entrance lobby, and the bars. It's not bad, it's just pretty characterless by comparison not only with the rest of the hotel, but also of comparable hotels. It's tasteful, well-maintained and spotlessly clean, but just very... characterless... There is no free wifi! I was amazed at this. This is one thing that you expect at every hotel, even cheap ones. Trying to charge $15 for it is a rip-off. Unfortunately, the room was noisy. You expect traffic noise in New York, and you get used to it. You don't expect constant plant noise from the Kitchen. If we had spent longer in the room, this may have been a real problem for us. The staff are great. the hotel is well-staffed and they are all professional, courteous and attentive. Based on our short stay, I would definitely recommend the Lotte Palace.

Lovely hotel and stay. Bathrooms are dated.
Lovely room- 41st floor great view even though we had a had a southeast facing room. Courteous service.
Not sure what the resort fee 35/pp goes towards. Not really a resort- but u have to pay it. Not included in the Expedia price. Had I known- prob could have had a better hotel. also-overwhelming horse poop smell right across the way. Not their fault-but it's there.
