i was in Napoli more then 10 times and i knew that the location of this hotel is the best for being in the center. And the hotel itself is clean and good as usual Renaissance hotels. there will be always someone from the staff who seems to act impolitely....but i guess its something about italian culture and their emotional expresivness.
It's near to the pier that you can take ferries to other places like capri. Close to shopping area too. Nearby restaurant and supermarket. Close to the bus terminal if you want to take the city sightseeing tour.
helpful staff, cleanliness and silence of our room, excellent location (nearby:bus stop "Citysight" and to airport, good shopping, Nova castle), excellent breafast for Italy.
The staff members were very, very helpful. I had travelled by myself but felt very safe here.
excellent situation for exploring and safe
I stayed in this hotel for 14 days. I appreciate especially the location. The room and the services are good. The breakfast is very limitd and need to be more variate.
Centrally located to everything. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful After one shower we ran out of hot water the first morning - the problem was addressed and corrected. The breakfast was on the skimpy side - not really what was expected.
Very clean and quiet room. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The location is great with easy access from the train station via the metro that's only about 10 meters away from the hotel. The staff were very helpful as well.
One night stay. Room, hotel facilities, staff and breakfast all excellent. Room rate high but this a 4 star hotel and the euro/pound exchange rate not good at the moment so that doesn't help.
The attitude of staff at reception named Mr.P was wrong. As there was no hotel telephone directory, I had to come to reception to ask morning call but he didnt appologized until I suggested to do so.
I enjoyed the warmth of the staff and their helpfulness. The hotel is an old building squeezed in the block and without any outside view.
Room was clean. Doing construction outside, bar not open, location OK but not great.
Great location, nice staff, very quiet room, good breakfast The temperature in the room was too high (yet too cold at night to leave the window open), the air conditioning too loud to be left on. Apart from that, it was a great hotel.
location in the heart of Naples the inside rooms are too dark; one lightbulb was burnt out, and although I reported it to the reception, it was not replaced
Art and general atmosphere Noise coming from teh Gallery during late night because of football players
English-speaking staff. Accommodating and willing to assist. Location. Accommodations were well-appointed, comfortable. Cramped with additional person. Insufficient toiletries (basic soap, toothbrushes).
The service at this hotel was exeptional. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful which made our stay a real pleasure. As it is a small hotel, there is a real sense of being a valued guest and not just a room number. Our room was lovely, four poster bed, all very clean and well kept. We'd definitely recommend staying here. The hotel is a little tricky to find once inside the Galleria (there's a small intercom by the wrought iron gates if that helps anyone planning to stay!). We were lucky as our taxi driver showed us where to go but I'm sure if you call the hotel one of the staff would be more than happy to come and find you in the Galleria itself!
Hotel decor spectacular, like living in mini palazzo. Staff wonderfully welcoming, friendly, helpful. Location excellent Nobody in Naples seems aware of its existence. So e.g. taxi drivers all know Galleria Umberto, but don't even know there's a hotel there. Landed there at night, no sign of life, asked residents of apartments in Galleria, but they had no idea either.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They really seemed to want to make my stay in Napoli pleasant. They also made great breakfasts. This hotel is a great value, the rooms are very nicely furnished. I had a little problem with my room's AC but the hotel took care of it quickly with limited inconvenience to me.
the localisation of the hotel was excellent. The hotel is on the 4th floor and you exit in Galleria Umberto, there is few bars and shopping area just downstairs. Even if it rains, you can stay in galleria and make some shopping I didn't like the breakfast, it not looked very fresh and small choice. My room has not the window with view on Galeria, but on the other ugly side.
The staff was very helpful and kind. They gave us a lot of good adivce and information to visit the city. The rooms wide and comfortable. The breakfast good and tasty with the possibility to choose between salty and sweety things! The location absolutely perfect, at the very centre of the city and above all it has been amazing staying inside a monument, Galleria Umberto. Ask to stay in a room overlooking the Galleria, you can enjoy a really special and unusual view!
Unique location really inside galleria building. We can see Galleria from hotel room. Easy access from airport by Alibus. Free Wifi at the lobby.
Staff was very helpfull and friendly. Good location. Balcony in the room was small and view was not good. The hotel is not easy to find
intimate, beautiful galleria ,pleasant helpful staff, marvelous location--perhaps the best in naples
Good location Excellent breakfast Superb view from the restaurant terrace near the metro station slow service at the dinner
I've liked the location, the facilities, the hotel staff, been in your hotel make my vacation beautiful and unforgetable, reasons to choose the same hotel for the next trip in Neaple I didn't like the absence of vegetables at the breakfast.I didn't like that the airconditioner make too much noise
Great location and best price for the area. Room was suppose to be non-smoking, but it smell like smoke. Internet access was available for a very high fee (7 Euro an hour); other hotels in the area charge only 8 Euro for 24 hours of use.
Very good location for our purpose (attending a conference at the Stazione Marittima) also for getting to other locations in the city
Central location, balcony in room work ongoing on third floor unaware of until stay therefore communal hallways and lift areas rather dusty! Bar opening hours poor!
Best location, clean and confortable room.
Central; good value (for Italy). Breakfast decent.
Practical very old accomodations
the hotel is ok, but still the wi-fi internet should be free. small bathroom, but still ok for one night stay
Normal service. Very noisy after 8:00 due to works in the hostel
Location was good for us because it was near the ferry terminal where we arrived from Palermo. The area was much cleaner than area around the Central rr Station. The hotel was near the Castel Nuovo,San Francesco di Paola, and Teatro San Carlo. Rooms and hotel were clean and staff friendly.
I enjoyed the designer atmosphere of my room. I liked my balcony. The breakfast was great...they have a panini maker! The complimentary cappicino was very good. I needed laundry done and they rushed it for me. The bed was very firm. I prefer a softer bed.
design of the rooms location airconditioning style nice bathroom needed to check-out very sharply and were reminded about this 30 min prior the check-out
Very comfortable and clean accomodation with fresh and funky decor. Excellent location close to the gorgeous Umberto galleria, numerous clothes shops and coffee bars an ideal place to start exploring the charismatic streets of Napoli. Nice breakfast. Staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Jasmine. The Church bells are rather noisy depending on what time you choose to sit on the roof terrace.
very nice place, beautiful terrace, excellent location for a city tour
the hotel was ideal for us in terms of location,Having spent two days site seeing around Naples, I believe we made an excellent choice
A clean, fresh, trendy hotel at a very could location. The staff was very friendly and they have a very good list with restaurants. The english language of the staff could be better.
rooms were nice and clean, balcony view was good; location was great it was close to the historical piazzas and Via chiaia and Via toledo (which were not really that interesting but are 'to see streets' of Napoli) breakfast was poor and they couldnt manage to make hot cafe latte. It was very very difficult to find the hotel by car, there was absolutely no signs for the hotel on the streets. Because of one way streets, we had to park and walk to the hotel; even then, at the door of the hotel there was no label. The friendly coffee place was kind enough to walk us to the hotel and show the elevator inside the building. Only in the elevator, 5th floor said the name of the hotel! The reception was on the fifth floor so it looked like someone'e flat to us.
The staff is excellent and superfriendly. The location is super: next to the Via Toledo, but very quiet because you stay on the fifth floor. The atmosphere breaths design and relaxation. From our terrace we couls see Mount Vesuvius on the one side and the hill with church on the other! And if you take your breakfast on the communal terrace then you hear the clocks of Santa Brigida right next to you, so what could you ask more? Right...
The hotel staff was great. Nothing.
Great location steps away from Via Chiaia and Toledo, close to the Beverello port and Centro historico.
It was difficult to find - instructions and directions sent when booking would be of great asisitance
location the toilet seat was broken and they did not fix it though kindly asked several times
Very very good value of money! We booked a supreme double room, overlooking Via Tolido street. The room is very spacious and good design. The windows and doors could block the noise from the streets. breakfast is also very good. All the staff are very helpful and friendly. It certainly exceeded my expectations. The walls could be more soundproof. And their instruction of how to find it is a bit confusing.
The staying there was absolutely comfortable and friendly.
Attentio was good and breakfast and everything else was fair... TV and Air Conditioning didn't work and no one was able to repair it before we were left...
We were able to book 4 rooms for all the party Early breakfast was difficult - we were travelling to our daughter's wedding so needed to leave the hotel at 0700 hrs
Fair enough service
Spacious room, good bed and quiet and safe location, close to shops, harbour and leisure district. Breakfast was reasonable (for Italian standards) but glasses instead of plastic cups would make breakfast decent!
Central Location This hotel was more of an hostel than a 4 star hotel. Was clean but not quite what we had expected.
kindness of staff is hard to believe. excellent location. homely atmosphere.
Perfect location for sightseeing, elegant interior, kind staff. Internet access at the lobby was unstable, not only from my laptop but also from others. We used a internet cafe nearby (2min walk, 10am-8pm).
location and hospitality
location in centre of Naples bar shut by 9.30pm without notice
The location is good, the staff very friendly and helpful.
Tranquility of the building. Kindness of its staff.
location difficulty in entering
The reception was super. They were willing to help in every way and they were efficient and really charming!
We only stayed for one night but the staff were very helpful from recommending an excellent pizza restaurant to booking a cab for the Airport. The Location could not be better - on a pedestrian street - and although our Room was on the front we never heard any street noise. The Hotel can be a little difficult to find if arriving during siesta time or late in the evening as the entrance door may be shut - however there is a buzzer alongside the door
Very good English speaking staff at the desk, they were helpful and friendly. The location in the alley ways was great fun very urban, and close to restaurants bars and shops. It was also close to the port for boats to Sorrento and Capri.
Our best Hotel on travel in Italy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great room. Excellent location right in the centre. Plenty of tour information. In walking distance to most things and also to public transport. Loved it. Doesn't have parking. However, the location of the Hotel doesn't permit it and the location of the hotel means you don't need your own car.
The hotel is situated is the lively Spanish quartor of Naples and not far from the see. the personel is extremely helpfull and nice in every respect.
The staff is great, location is noisey.
A great Hotel, very helpfull staff, centraly located, perfect atmosphere, very helpfull and friendly staff. Very clean rooms. A perfect place to enjoy Napels. Ok, you will be awake twice a night because of the closeby church bells, but is authentic part of Napels which one should take for granted.
Hotel staff was really friendly and truly helpful. The room is quite nice, well decorated. Especially if you stay there with kids, I’m sure they will like it. Air-conditioning works well. The location is a little bit difficult to access by car. The outside of the hotel is loud until the middle of the night, but anyhow we could sleep by closing the window.
beautifully renovated recently. prime location. hotel stuff nice and helpful. would love to go back.
Very good hotel in excellent location. Friendly staff, almost everyone speaks English. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. -
Excellent location, spacious room, very helpful hotel staff Breakfast not good quality
I liked the service and helpful staff. The hotel location is excellent. I did not like the factt tha tthe hotel would not accept American Express Travellers cheques, even though in Euros. I did not like seiners served for breakfast.
The hotel was right in the middle of Via Chiaia - a great location for visitors to Napoli. The room was lovely and modern and the shower rocked!!! The staff were so helpful - they even helped us to watch the Man United football match in our room when we couldn't find a bar that was showing it.
Staff was very pleasant. Location is great if you renounce to views and open nature. Decoration and furniture poor. Relation price/quality not good at all.
A convenient location for airport, walking around shopping district very easy literally on our doorstep, late night cafe on corner nearby was a bonus. Two great balconies on the family room. twin room window looked into central courtyard as opposed to street so felt a bit enclosed
This hotel is in a very good location, easy walk to restaurants, shops, ferry connections, bus to train station for pompeii etc. Area around Chiaria very lively and felt safe. Only 20-30 minutes to airport by taxi. Staff very helpful and always polite.
The room was quiet large and very well decorated (for those who like modern style). Bathroom splendid and tidy. Good breakfast under a very nice glass roof. Nice people and very well located. The heater was down twice and we had to ask for it to be turned on. Despite the pedestrian street on which the hotel is situated, quite noisy. Better ask for rooms not on the street.
Excellent location, lovely room, very helpful and friendly staff
The personnel was very good, they offered themselves to help us in any problem that we may have during our visit. They also gave us some good tips abouts restaurants close to the hotel. According to Italian standards the breakfast was good. Take care on Sundays. It is wonderfully located, close to everywhere. The room was vey well equipped. If they do not improve the maintenance they may have some problems in the future. The room had no views to the street and the air conditioning was just correct so wwe were missing the chance to open the windows to have some air from the outside. Even if the room had no windows, the noise from the air conditioning units in the courtyard could be heard in the room.
Stylish. Free upgrade to suite.
It was right in the heart of the shopping on Via Chiaia, a fairly clean, nice street, which is saying a lot for Naples. The room was very modern and spacious and even had a jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was also fantastic.
excellent location for a city break as the sightseeing tour bus routes start at the end of Via Medina at the Piazza Municipio & also near to good shopping area & lots of restaurants around Via Toledo on a noisy street, air conditioning costs extra to use.
Access to the Internet, clean and comfortable bathroom, good location, nice staff
The location was good - easy access to the port and airport bus. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location. We felt safe and secure. The breakfasts were substantial. The tiny lift.
Svetlana, a really caring ,sweet, young woman looked after us so very well , especially at breakfast. Always smiling, happy and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble for her. Other staff also gave us helpfull information as requested. Our 12 day visit , allowed us time to enjoy the sights and faded grandeur of Naples , as well as other resorts eg. Sorrento, Positano, Capri , Pompei, Herculaneum and Rome People we met here were generally friendly, and this area of Naples , much less threatening than we were led to believe. Hotel position was also convenient for travel to the many interesting places we visited . Local food, especially nearby Antonio's seafood restaurant, just delicious My room although clean ,was hot and humid. The incredible mountain of uncollected rubbish in Naples, leaves me commiserating with the good people of who this city, who suffer this hideous health hazzard among other things, day in and day out.
Excellent location, couldn't be better! Walking distance from all main sites in the city, excellent connection to the airport and train station. Extremely friendly staff, always available for information and advice and for a nice chat. Our room was very large, even for 4 people and impeccably clean. One of the best "value for money" hotel ever!
Its location and the staff were really friendly! The only thing was that it was not clearly marked so at 10pm when I arrived thee was a point when I wondered if i had the correct directions
It's a family stile hotel. We enjoyed our staying there. It is like a big flat, you feel a bit like at home. It is very cosy and neat. They often have problems with sewerage system in several rooms, it happened to us too. It the evening they just arranged our staying in another hotel. But they did it very delicate and nice.
Excellent situated next to Piazza Municipio with restaurants, shopping zone etc.. The bus-stop "Alibus" to Airport and ferry terminal to Capri and Amalfi-Coast only 3 - 5 min walk. Very friendly stuff especialy owner Stefano. Hotel was silent, save ( good entrance solution ) and clean with a budget pricing. When in Naples again this is definitely the choice.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and we loved the continental breakfast!
