I liked the cleaningness Didn't like that the office checkin was a bit far off, it shows a disconnect btw management and clients. Didn't like that the hotel didn't offer any water spots like jet ski rental or boat rentals. Didn't like the fact that there was no decent restaurant in the facility for breakfast, lunch etc. It meant you needed to leave the hotel often for quick stops which takes the relaxation out of the vacation
The hotel is right on the ocean. We loved our ocean view with the balcony. The room was also renovated and very clean. The pier was great for sunsets. The toilet was leaking and the sink was hard to get to. The shower was difficult to turn on too.
Room was clean, comfortable bed. Very nice view from balcony, grounds were well kept. Would liked to have had a hot tub available.
I liked that they have their own pier. And are right on the beach. The room was nice. Outward appearance of the hotel is not very nice. Elevators smell so do the staircase. Pools are nothing fancy. VERY limited parking
The view from our room was just simply amazing!!! Loved it! And the staff was so friendly and helpful! There was a stain on the comforter, but wasn't a big deal, we didn't even sleep on that bed we wanted to sleep on the one closet to the ocean anyways.

The pool deck opens up onto the beach and the room was spacious for the fee Main elevators closed after a few seconds with poor sensors as my youngest was closed on twice. Room door was broken (barely hanging on) making getting into the room an event.
I enjoyed jerry he made the trip for what it was lacking worth while Hotel food and drinks were terrible, needs better menu especially if you want men with families to stay or married couples with no children who enjoy food and drink

Loved being at the beach! The room was clean and had a great view. The rooms with a jacuzzi were fantastic!! (This is in the new/nice building). I didn't like the fact that they have 2 completely different buildings and your parking area depends on the building you are staying in. One building is really nice and has the parking near you, but the other building is not very nice with parking across the street. I think you need to know this when you are booking a room.

Everything. Everything was misrepresented in kayak. No room like mine was even shown in pictures and that's exactly what customers look at. oh there's also two VERY DIFFERENT buildings that are Westgate: ones a very nice condo, the other is literally a shitty roach motel. There's no differentiating the two when you're booking a stay. The staff talked to me and treated me like I was a child. I didn't even stay there the night I checked in. Kayak also informed me that I might not even get my money back even though I wasn't even there 24 hours. Unfortunately I won't be using kayak again.
I liked the location and amenities at Westgate. The onsite restaurant/sports bar was great also. The location is right across from the amusement park on the beach. There is also a water park next to it also. Our room was nice and the staff was friendly. The only thing I noticed that could be improved was having a laundry facility in each building instead of one. Being on the beach does lead to dirty clothes and there is only one building that you can wash. Not a big deal but room for improvement. Most Westgste properties have washer and dryers in the rooms. I think this would be a decent compromise.
We did not feel welcome at all!! Everythimg we ask for was only for "owners" ( parking, umbrela and beach chairs, lobby) staff were more interesting in selling time share vacation than make a guess feel confortable.

Our room an our view we spectacular. I loved the clenleyness of our room. The staff was amazing and treated us great. We were very close to attractions which made it a lot more fun. I didn't like the fact that room service ended so early. I also didn't like the fact that because my husband wasn't 25 we couldn't get tickets to one of the dinner shows. But even with that our vacation was lovely and we plan to return
it was great but the beds was hard and the elevator was very slow and had to go alway downstair to get ice and had to go to the lobby too use my computer and why if u live at the south hampton u cannot go to the north hampton to us the inside pool u have to have a key thats not fair. a few thing the secod bed room have a double bed and it hard and elevators are slow and the ice machine all the way on the first floor and you dont have ice makers and etc......
This property was great. Beach was large, many pools on the property that could be used. Everything was clean, well manicured and inviting. My only negative comment is that you have to be very careful navigating the property. Especially at night it can be very confusing. Make sure to follow the signs very carefully.

that they offered shuttle service to thier spa and pool area and other local businesses that were near the hotel the staff was impolite when asking questions about the room..when asked if there was an open room they seemed a little distracted from me and it appeared that were more concerned with getting people checked in then worry about the problems.. plus they wrote down the wrong room number for me and had to go back into the lobby and get it rechecked which went a little bit more smoothly with a different person assisting me

Loved location. Shuttle available. Maintenance had to come and change filter for ac. I ook a while to cool the room. Worst part of the trip: dirty coverlet at foot of bed and dirty bolsters had been taken off the bed and put in closet. I like Kingston plantation but I would not stay at the South Hampton again if possible. See above
The villa was great didn't know what it would look like. I didn't like that we couldn't have the pleasure of eating the breakfast and the happy hour at Embassy Suites, but got to enjoy the other perks they offered. I was a little disappointed about that . Was our first time using Kayak.
The location is great. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The accommodations were great and clean. The add on resort fee.
I love the how would Der full the maintenance workers were. They were friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything was the best they could for us. The cleaning people were fairly friends day too. It was within walking distance to food and the boardwalk. The beach was clean and enjoyable. You can get free red box videos while staying. The WiFi doesn't work at all. It did t matter where we were we. Old not use the WiFi. Therefore we couldn't do any of the work we needed to do. Since it was advertised it was very aggravating. We had to use our phones as hot spots, using our data or go to Starbucks. This is not convenient when you have work that needs to be done. The rooms are way out of date. Though they were clean, they may have never been upgraded since the building was built. The pool and lazy river were dirty.
Nothing. This hotel had no iron or ironing board in the room. You had to put a deposit down to get. It had no coffee like most hotels. It only had a coffee maker. When we got there, the phone didn't work, 3 out of 4 burners on the stove didn't work and the coffee maker was leaking. The pictures on the internet makes the room look great. But they were not.This was a third world hotel. The party I was with had bites all over the body when she woke up in another room. The hotel moved them to another room and said it was bed bugs. The GM was supposed to meet with them and didn't. Then the hotel reversed and said they didn't have bed bugs.

Great beachfront location. Close to the boardwalk. Exterior of build and grounds well-maintained. Excellent parking. Housekeeping non-existent- our room was never cleaned once during our 4 night stay. Many interior maintenance issues: clogged sink, loose toilet seat, broken shower faucets. Janitorial staff brought dumpsters of trash down in the passenger elevator with the guests onboard - YUCK! People on our floor were taking their own trash out because housekeeping wasn't doing it. In our opinion, with the exception of the pool guy who was amazing, the rest of their housekeeping and maintenance staff should be fired. Also, the wifi was useless. And he cable tv reception was always fuzzy.
On the beach Dirty, found several long hairs in the shower. Someone's left overs were still in the refrigerator and it smelled. It took the refrigerator over 24 hours to get cool. No ice in the ice machines (they had two). Out dated. Only one elevator and it was very slow and old. I tried to get my money back, was refused. No internet access even though it was listed as an amenity.
We enjoyed the view of the ocean and the quick beach access. We did not enjoy the broken heater/air condition unit. The toilet hose springing a leak and soaking everything. Tv did not work and the hot water in the shower was out for two days.
The location was close to an event I attended. Everything was dirty and outdated. Ocean view is not enjoyable because the balcony is so ghetto looking. This hotel is ghetto.
The expedited maintenance service and having a confirmed reservation. Air conditioning was good. Proximity of beach and hotel. Though I was fortunate, there were many people waiting in the lobby whem I arrived to get a room or were complaining about there rooms. One lady was waiting for a room for a over an hour and the gentleman told the lady there were 49 rooms that meedes to cleaned and that it takes awhile....The rooms smelled terrible. I booked 2 identical rooms and both were different from one another. Tvs were dated, bathrooms were too small. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom and a missing light fixture. Maintenance handed me a curtain to put up myself and as far as the light fixture...maintainance told me they are beginning to phase them out of the rooms. Finally parking was very difficult.
The location is top notch. Easy access to beach and other food and activities. Room elevator dirty- roaches in bathroom, sticky sheets, lots of smokers everywhere in hotel, pool.
Strong odor of Marijuana, the halls were so hot, we supposedly have a free rental DVD to watch when we got to our room the DVD player didn't even work and the TV was fuzzy. The indoor pool and jacuzzi room had the strongest smell of chlorine. It also said the it was opened from 9am to 10 pm when got there it was about 4pm and the door was closed. Also only one maintenance guy on 2nd shift for 3 buildings.. The FIRST & LAST TIME!!! Never Again!
We were first timers to Myrtle Beach and since it was a short trip we were wanting to splurge and not drag our camper. We were beyond pleased with the value of this Resort. We had a fantastic Ocean view at a really nice Resort for not much more than the local campsite. I would for sure recommend staying here if you are not into the "Ocean Dr. strip scene" because unlike the hotels there you have privacy. The pillows they were too flat!!
The public areas and amenities are fantastic. Definitely the best option (ONLY option) for luxury accommodations in Myrtle Beach. The room was clean, but spartan. It did not match the look of the rest of the facility and definitely needed updating.
This is what you expect from Marriott. Beautiful Ocean Front Property just steps from the ocean. My adult daughter and I were upgraded to an ocean view room that was fantastic. We enjoyed the Spa here very much. The staff was attentive and helpful. Added fees. Pay close attention to the fine print. There were many additional fees that add up quickly.

The room had excellent views. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was also very good. Our cable was fuzzy and the room could use paint but those are minor issues.

Room needed updating. Pillows were small on beds. Outlets were very old and some even looked to be a hazard. TV was older tube flat screen. Could see in other rooms that some had been updated, but not all. Stove had visible rust on the top. We had 4 women in the room and had to ask for extra bath towels every day. That process usually involved 2 calls to the desk at least an hour or so apart.

It's a pretty bad resort that doesn't compete with the cleanliness and basics that are found in your average Motel 6. Even for a room with a kitchenette, there was no couch, A "kitchen table" that could only fit a laptop, and loud music, and fireworks late at night. If you're coming to relax and catch up on sleep, this is not the place to be. The carpet was absolutely disgusting.
Great facilities and a lot of fun. There was a kids club for the little ones. Beach was wonderful. Our side view of the ocean was great. Staff at front desk was super and we had daily maid service. My twenty something kids had a blast but it's better if they are over 21.We asked for a grade A efficiency and Gita great room! Sofa bed was just ok.
I loved the fact that we were right on the beach, and that there was swimming pools also available. The hotel is worn. It was somewhat clean, but paint was chipping, carpet needed to be replaced. There were no hand towels or wash cloths in the room. They did not make up my bed, but others that I was with had theirs done.
Liked that it was on the beach We didn't get the room that we asked for so that was a big disappointment right off the start and they wouldn't change us rooms. The room we got had a funky smell and they never cleaned it very good. It was just awful. Not staying there again.

Some construction going on but other than that it was perfect. It is off peak so I understand doing the construction now. The staff more than made up for any of that inconvenience though. Wish they had a shuttle service to Broadway at the Beach for shopping and entertainment. Great winter rates on ocean front suite. Would love to come back with the kids this summer.
Breakers Resort failed to bill Hotels.com for our stay which was purchased two months prior. Breakers had billed us again for the stay and I contacted Hotels.com the following day after checkout to investigate the billing problem. They contacted Breakers and resolved the billing issue. Breakers later contacted me and apologized for the billing issue and explained they were crediting our card account and waived the standard resort fee. The prompt response was much appreciated! Enjoyed our stay and will recommend Breakers Resort
Convenient to restaurants Kids next room banging on railing at 7 in the morning.
Location off beach was wonderful! We traveled off-season, so traffic on Ocean Blvd wasn't an issue, but it would be during peak season. Parking is located in structure across the street and that was OK (prefer connected, but it's on the ocean front, so...). The Breakers ain't the same Breakers! Beware there are two (or more) towers -- North and South. You check into the North tower and it's all clean and wonderful looking, but if you're staying in South, it has more of a Motel 6 feel to it. Old, outdated. The three things that keep it alive are: Oceanfront views, price and housekeeping staff. Our phone didn't work, and (oddly) we didn't have a shower curtain, but they got right on it. Also, the beds are immediately there when you open the door, so be aware while dressing. Parking during check-in can be congested. Staff was harried -- took incoming phone calls before people standing in line (my pet peeve), but our check-in guy was cool and accommodating.
We liked the proximity to the beach. When booking this room, I did a great deal of research. I read reviews, I scanned hundreds of pictures, studied accommodations and compared them to prices. This hotel had beautiful pictures and some pretty good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The first thing we saw (and smelled) upon arrival was giant dumpsters of trash and men were shoveling it out of the building into the dumpsters. We checked in just to use the pools because our room wouldn't be ready for a couple of hours. We had to go find parking across the street before we could swim. The hotel was very crowded so we walked around for awhile looking for a place to leave our things. Before we could find a chair, a security guard asked us where our arm bands were. We hadn't been given any armbands so we had to lug all of our stuff (including our eight month old daughter) back to the registration office to get them. The resort boasts it's number of pools but each of them was warmer than some baths I have taken. We eventually ended up at an indoor pool where a lady was sitting right next to us smoking. After a couple of cours our room was ready. I was excited because it was advertised as ocean-front. When we got into the room, our balcony overlooked the parking lot. There was a mini fridge which we had planned on keeping our sandwich meat and our daughters food in, but it didn't work, so we ended up traveling to and from the ice machine several times to keep our things cold.

I've stayed at Patricia Grand Resort several times prior to this, and on holidays (i.e Christmas 2013). It seemed that the resort was not dealing well with the larger than usual influx of guests during the New Year holiday. Some of the cleaning staff appeared unkempt and unprepared, making it hard for me to want them to clean our room. However, upon arrival, the rooms were clean and the amount of money we paid was definitely worth the stay.
Hotel stuffs,clean room,breakfast,decorations,inside pools,comfort,and value of money and i enjoyed spa. i would like to have full services for restaurants every time. no need to go outside for dinner.
Upon check in I was hopeful that this place just might be our new beach hotel since our recent hotel of choice for the past 5 years had a bout of bed bugs. I was incredibly disappointed when I arrived to our room. If I could have found another hotel to stay at I would have at this point money was no object. The room was dingy and musty. The bed linens had stains and the curtains had holes in them big enough to let light through and wake you in the morning. I found two hair balls behind the bathroom door and one behind the shower door. The plastic cups on the counter in bathroom were wrapped in plastic which I thought was great until I picked one up and there was black dirt and a bug wing stuck to the bottom of it. Back to the bed concerns, the box springs had two large stains on the sides. I would like to plead ignorance is bliss and I will just assume the stains were from peoples' pets. The restaurant was horrific! We went to the breakfast buffet again trying to make the most of it. The new plates brought out for the buffet were covered in grits and food particles. After going through 5 dirty plates, we left and reported our findings to the front desk. She handed us a coupon for 10% off at Omega pancakes (which was wonderful) and gave us walking directions. We will never be back to such a place as this! I realize that most people may say, "well I'm not going to be in the room much" but trust me this hotel is on the bed bug registry and is pet friendly so I am sure they have fleas to contend with too! As a beach goer of 20+ years just stay someplace else.
The bed was very comfortable. The staff was slow and unprofessional. The wifi did not work. The smoke detector in my room had no battery! The cafe had no attendant for half an hour that I waited for coffee and milk was left on the counter during that whole time.

Everything! Parking for large SUV going from deck to deck. Use valet parking on the first deck for handicap and large vehicles on the first deck. Turns are too tight going to upper decks.
The location is perfect! right in the heart of Myrtle Beach, the ocean view from our room made it all worth wild. Water pressure was low,weather seals are needed around the doors,no shuttle from the airport
Very child friendly. Lots of things to do to entertain small children. Definitely a good family atmosphere. Oceanfront queen suite was crowded for four people. I had stayed at this resort before and with the oceanview room with two queen beds we also had a sitting area with a sofa that gave us the extra room we needed to be more comfortable. Oceanfront was not worth the compromised space.
I like that it had a lot to offer to families and was beach front! I didn't feel that everything was clean. I SPRAYED my bed and that was about the only thing I sat on. The couches looked stained and my brother who slept on the pull out bed said it stinks.

The rooms were huge and comfy. We were right by the children's pool area, so I expected it to be loud, but it was not. The beach was great. We also enjoyed the Malibu beach bar and the entertainment at night. All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. I would stay there again. There were some areas where the ceilings and walls needed some cleaning. The pool areas were very nice but were always very crowded.
Location, water parks and access to the ocean was good The service was poor from day 1 till I got home and is still poor. Day 1 - dirt or something around the toilet and tissue roll was broke. Fan above stove broke. broken knife in drawer. gave knife to lady who cleans rooms says not my job. day 2 - Called about fan - still no knife returned -no one showed to fix fan- elevator stopped working, stuck on 3rd floor day 3 - called again about fan and knife - no one cleaned room called for towels twice had to go get towels from main desk. got knife around 4pm day 4 - no one cleaned room again, called about fan, now someone shows late that day. day 5 check out, daughter left phone, called at 2 spoke to a fairly rude female, who showed no concern with taking my name or number and said some might call me tomorrow. called back at 6:30 and spoke to a very rude female who tried to hang up after saying the cleaning people went home at 4. I told here I called over 4 hours ago, she looked it up and said they found it but the lost and found person is gone and want be back till Wednesday and there is nothing that anyone can do. So I am still waiting to get my babies phone back.
It was very clean place to stay. Good for toddlers There is two sea crest hotels I though i was staying in the one infront of the beach but instead they gave me a room that was not ocean view I thought that was not good since i payed almost $600
my reservation was cancelled and i had to pay much more for the room. and have not been reimbursed
Enjoyed complex had everything we needed not even 10 minutes from everything You might want to do. My stay was excellent enjoyed the town, however the staff leaves something to be desired. I work in customer service so I do know everyday is not going to be the best. But after I left the customer service desk I hated there were no other hotels available, would have been willing to take down grade for better service.

I really enjoyed everything about the Resort, when we arrived they upgraded us so for less than $200 per night We were able to enjoy a luxury hotel. I wanted to stay an additional night but they couldn't accommodate that.

No parking , kids running and yelling in the hallways . Loud music , drinking and foul language at the pool , decks and balconies. We had to switch rooms because it was just nasty and with a small child we didn't feel safe staying there . Please find a different place to stay . Don't waste your money !!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Walk out door to beach, pools Broken front door, real bad room odor
It was a room This is a disgusting ghetto hotel. The Marriott was only 30 dollars more book there and actually stay in a room worth sleeping in. The room looked nothing like a single picture they had online and there were cockroaches as big as a mouse running around the hotel. It was the worst, trust me it is not worth it.
A fair amount of parking available. Asked for early check-in and wasn't able to check in till after the latest check-in time. Also was asked to pay more at check-in for "more taxes." The staff was a bit rude. Paid for an ocean view and was placed in the motel portion across the street from the ocean with no views. The room was filthy with water all over the kitchen floor and dirt in the beds. The bathroom mirror was covered with mold in the upper left corner. New toilet paper was not left for our use. Mold and water damage were apparent in the closet. Dirty linens were left outside of our door from check-in till check-out. We asked for one bed but were placed in a room with two beds. One of the beds was broken in the middle of the box spring and the headboard of the second bed was broken off and had fallen behind the bed.
Descent price. I was run down. So many things needed fixing and it was like nobody cared. The room was nasty. We were booked for three nights but left after the first. It is nothing like the pictures. On a shelf in the room there was what appeared to be rat turds. They had just cleaned the room. This place was not for me and my family.
We liked the location When we arrived, there was a line out the door. People trying to check in and only two women working the desk, a third woman later joined them. People had been through the line several times, rooms were not ready, we'd hat appeared to be the msnager. Sat in an office and appeared clueless. There Was A Sense Of Anger IN THE CHECK IN line. Elevators are way too slow, had to wait up to five minutes for elevator and sometimes it never came so we took the stairs. Maintenance was working, loudly outside our room at 7am one morning, woke us up.We used part of our stay looking at other places to stay.
The pools and closeness to beach nice. Old buildings not updated some areas in bad shape. Not enough signage to direct you. No security, people smoking where they should not be.
Nothing!!!! First of all that wasn't the hotel they send us to they put us in another hotel that was worst and it was dirt ....for the price that my husband was paying they should of put us in the hotel that picture above.....when we wanted to go to that hotel the one that has the picture above they said it was full ..they didn't do anything to make us feel comfortable so we left and ask for a refund ...I refuse to go to the one they send me at ...I think they should of gotten us something instead of saying no problem ......so beware on which bulding they put you since they don't tell you ...
The price was good but you get what you pay for. Rooms were outdated and run down. Room was nasty and had Mold on top of shower. no vending machines worked. Parking for guest was very hard to find. Had to ride around for long periods of time in hopes someone would leave and get there spot. I traveled with an elderly person on oxygen. No guest carts available had to carry all tanks by hand to room on 11th floor. Asked for help but no one at the desk seemed to care.

The pools ,the room was big enough ,the housekeeper was super nice ,she took good care of us and our room,,, What I think I didn't like was they didn't explain some stuff to us like where the elevators were and if we need it coffe in our room we had to ask at the lobby,and that they had a gym at what time we could go there or how to get in, other than that it was ok,,,,
Rooms are spacious, good location has a lot to offer families. Have stayed here a number of times. Will stay again. Only problem we had in the number of times is the last time we stayed here they tried to charge we twice for the resort fees, the only reason they didn't is when I told him I had a copy of the receipt where I had payed it then he said he had made a mistake that I did not owe it.
We like the swimming pools and location Didn't like the fact one of the elevators was out of service for the whole weekend
Very clean rooms, great veiws from the ocean tower suites Upon entering building was greeted by an front desk employee that acted and looked like she didnt want to be there. Very strange layout of the way to get to elevators for the ocean tower rooms.
I liked the beach access. As well as all the pools for children. Also the attached bar. The room was very clean and had great views! Parking, parking, and Parking!!!!
