The rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfortable and the pillows actually had some stuffing in them, which was a nice change of pace from other places we visited. The shower was also large enough to have two people. The water splashes a little out of the side of the shower. They didn't have conditioner.
Centreally located, good breafast, free car parking a small issue but we had to keep going from one part of the hotel to another to reach our room esp durring the rain
the loction and the staff
Very well maintained, clean and neat Hotel. Location is excellent.
great breakfast at buffet
Hotel has very good access with public transport. From the main railway station it takes only a couple of minutes to reach the hotel.
very nice. The room was comfortable and the receptionist was very kind slightly far from the town center. Also no internet PC available.
How a hotel should be. Comfortable rooms, delightful buffet breakfast and prompt, friendly service.
Lovely breakfast - even you could get a beer.
Great breakfast Small detail: Marks on the walls in the room
Large bathtub, fantastic breakfast, comfortable room, clean and modern. Walking distance to Löwenbrau biergarten and tram station.
The location of the hotel. Those who want to stay near the center of Munich and have the ability to walk there on foot should definitly consider The Charles Hotel.
Very clean - amazing rooms - great spa 30 Euro each for breakfast is very expensive ........ think it may have been worth it as it was excellent. Fine as we travelled as a couple - if my kids had been there would have been unaffordable!
the staff were very helpfull;the hotel is quite and the view of the room is nice; the size of the room is execllent
Room ready for arrival at 2pm. Central location. Staff friendly, helpful and with very good command of English. Gym and pool very appreciated. No noise. Minor quibbles - I would have liked a CD player in the room (I know they could be hired) and a wider choice of English language newspaper.
The Charles Hotel is a very top class hotel. The Location is great, a few min. walking away from the city center and steps away from the train station. The hotel is prestigous, very clean and comfortable. The restaurant and food is good. no wi-fi in the hotel. The internet connection is wired and expensive.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the food in general was very good, cleanliness & the comfort of the Hotel also very good.
Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful hotel about 500 meters away from the train station. Room, and bathroom large. Excellent service. Great SPA, There is absolutly nothing negative about this hotel, everything perfect. You get what you pay for and more. Highly recomend. nothing
Very Clean. Quiet. Friendly staff. Reasonably large room, and very comfortable bed. Pillows could be in down instead of synthetic.
We had a wonderful stay which was high lighted by the wealth of knowledge of the hotel conceirge .Glad we took his advice about restaurants & tours. The hotel is located in a great area for shopping & sights.
The service attitude was quite unique at the hotel, more than perfect. Breakfast is really good! I highly recommend deluxe room with park view.
The room was very comfortable and it is very close to the public transportation The breakfast price is very high (€19 per person). So we didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Pillows and quilts with plume (bird fur) and are not healty especially for allergic peoples. So, the hotel should provide other types of pillows and quilts (such as cotton etc.) enough numbers.
Efficient, no delays at the reception counter and fast resposne to service (request a towel)
Helpfulness of the staff! The bed sheets were not changed daily and should be!
Location was was great. It was right across from the Haptbahnhof making transportation anywhere in the city very easy. No
The Turkish speaking hotel staff was extremely helpful. The location of the hotel was convenient since it is close to the city centre and just next to the railway and subway services. The hotel is next to some "adult entertainment" locations. This is annoying and gives the feeling of insecurity.
Not great really terrible value for money - tiny room, poor facilities and really quite expensive.
the location is just perfect. Staff is very friendly and efficient
place close to train station and hart of Munich . as i said in Q.2 the bed not comfortable because its not a king size bed
Located next to Munich Main Train Station, nice room, clean and taken care of Small rooms
Location right next to Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) During Electronica the price of everything is incredible - 280 Euro night + wifi is not free and breakfast is a staggering 21 eur per person. I week later the hotel is less than 100 per night
Location Lifts were slow Not enough reception staff Pillows were inadequate
Bestens erreichbar. Restaurant.
Very close to central station, clean, good breakfast, the room with one bed is very small
Location, customer service, size of room, fitness center amenities Charges for wifi
Across the street from main train station Not much, tile in bathroom was kind of funky.
- Location - Breakfast - Amenities - Staff could be a little more personable than stoic - The rooms seem dated and could do with being updated for the price we are paying
This nice hotel has an easy location - across the street from the train station and across the street from the airport bus stop. The center of town can be reached easily by foot in about 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The sauna and steam room were nice, and breakfast was superb. All in all, a great place to stay. The room was slightly cold but very clean and comfortable.
Across the street from the train station, but never heard a train. Within walking distance to Marienplatz. Hotel was very clean and well decorated with artwork and fresh flowers, breakfast was impressive, and our room was quite comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location across from main Munich train station. About a 15 walk to the Marienplatz. Access to public transit close by. Staff was very friendly and helpful in assisting us with planning our three days at the Much Christmas Markets. Breakfast buffet was generous and varied in choices. The room was comfortable and quiet.
Friendly, welcoming, helpful front desk staff. Bright, modern room. Modern bathroom with bath. Excellent breakfast. Overall excellent.
Solid location to use trams and trains. Also walking distance to city center. Airport shuttle across the street was great(it was 11€ each). The hotel it self felt very historic which I loved. Lots of cool art . Friendly and helpful desk staff. The bed was extremely comfortable. Our room was a bit expensive for just a basic room. being right next to train station it got noisy at times. The main elevator was shut down so we had to use the service elevator which was very small only enough room for 2 people.
The rooms were very nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We had trouble adjusting the temperature in the warm and were quite warm at night.
I have stayed here many times and have found it to be comfortable and pleasant. Excellent breakfast buffet. The people taking part in the special meetings were often very noisy.
- The room design - Breakfast - Swimming pool and fitness - location Always full. ;)
The staff was very friendly, the indoor parking lot was very convenient. The internet was free. Nothing really. Perhaps the only disadvantage was the location of the hotel.
hotel design poor internet.....
I liked the location, buffet breakfast, decor of hotel and room comfort. the fact that the hotel name is not easily seen from a distance. no milk with tea making facilities. no coffee maker.
it is totally new and excellent for any detail of the structure, good price (maybe for the launch) horrible service to the restaurant which is totally a nightmare (it must be replan the managment)
The rooms were very modern and comfortable. The location was about a block away from the Hackerbruke S-Bahn station (1 stop away from Munchen HBF) so it was easy to get anywhere. Breakfast included. Staff was very friendly and spoke english. Overall Great hotel Location seemed more like a business area so there was not much in walking distance from the hotel.
It was really a veery nice hotel. The receptionists are so horrible!! No hello, no goodbye, they're so racist and look at you as if you're a begger and you haven't actually paid a lot to stay at this hotel!! I hated them!!
I liked the design of the hotel, breakfast quality, location is also ok. u can park your car in front of the hotel for free the floor in the room was dusty
comfy and quite it is a little bit far from the city center
The design! And the four-star comfort... Little things. The shower wasn't working properly. There was no place to put the soap in the bathroom. Oh, and being asked to pay 300 euros for an extra night.
The hotel has new construction, the rooms are relatively spacious, and the breakfast was generally good. The hotel is very far from the Marienplatz and even a hike from the Hauptbahnhof. The staff seems a bit smug, there was one small square of soap and no shampoo, and one of the waitstaff gave me coffee that was little more than slightly brown water.
Breakfast, position, staff, clean No remarks
local to train station not a four star hotel as advertised, more like a 2 star. "tired" bathrooms. too expensive for quality of rooms
Value for money
good access to public transportation
Was quite basic but the loaction is great and the staff were nice! The bath was very slippy, the room was too hot!
The rooms were well designed, clean and comfortable Nothing, everything was perfect
The REGENT location is an easy walk from the Hauptbanhof. The REGENT location is an easy walk to the Augustiner Keller Beir Garten Breakfast had everything (cold cuts, hot eggs, hot bacon, bread, pastries, juices, coffee, etc.). Nothing.....all is good.
Clean and very close to the central station and many attractions
The hotel is ok but it is not an 4 star hotel, no double bed (kingsize) no gym, and room service til 10:00
Located near downtown, just a few blocks form the central station. Breakfast served too late
the restaurant staff were the "only" nice people. - Rooms are not clean. - Bed sheets are filthy & yellowish. - Floor carpet is filthy and smelly. - The bed itself is broken, dusty, and very old. - Bathroom toilet is filthy and not cleaned. - My child's backpack was lost/stolen from the hotel. - Room's phone wasn't working and the only way to get room service was to go down to reception.
Large, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location, 2 min walk to main train station, 10 min to main centre. Friendly staff. I had problems picking up the internet signal in our room. They were happy to move us into another room but still had the same problem. Down stairs at the lobby no problems. No kettle tea/coffee in room but a 2 min walk to train station and nice coffee for only 1 euro.
close to Marienplatz and Pinotetka museums light from sign in our room all night
Great location, good sized comfy room, staff were helpful when needed but not pushy, excellent hotel security N/A
The atmosphere the room i was in was a very strange shape - long and thin - i felt a little boxed in as it wasn;t the standard square shape.
Air conditioning did not cool room below 27 degress Celsius and matress was very uncomfortable.
location and attitude of staff
I liked the location close to the main train station and the room. The double room should have had double bed. Also, breakfast should be included at the price paid.
Straightforward check in; English speaking staff, late bar and good coffee machine in the room
Comfortable, friendly, good value for its location, more traditional in its decor, helpful staff, good location, close to railway station and 10 minute walk from Marienplatz
Excellent location to db, very comfortable and Clean. There is restaurants front of the hotel provide halal food.
The Front desk staff are very welcoming and helpfull.. Maya was the best, she always exceed the Servise expectation. Bathroom is small
The Hotel Erzgiesserei Europe is centrally located in a very quiet neighborhood just a few meters from the police station. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if ever I get back to Berlin.
Quite a good location near the U-bahn. Easy to access. Comfort room. The breakfast wasn´t so good we expecteded it to be.
Beautiful room and hotel, great breakfast
Good hotel and good position, just 6 minutes walking from the metro station . Good breackfast
I stayed two nights at the hotel, the first night I asked for a baby cot and the answer was that it was too late and the housekeeping already left. I expected the next day to have the baby cot but nothing happened.
Good location with very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good. Good value for money.
renovated room, no noise of the city, good price/quality
good overall facilities with easy access small breackfast area
I've got exactly what I was promissed, everything was OK, but I should separalety mention excellent breakfast - much better then I expected. The only thing I can mention here - there's no curtain in the shower, and the floor in the bathroom got wet every time I used the shower. But it was not a real problem for me.
Convenient location for Oktoberfest
It is a new hotel, so everything looks good, the room or it is better to say studio was large, although rest room could be bigger for such a large room/studio. Breakfast was good, most of the stuff was good. Definitely not enough parking space around hotel and they have less than 20 parking spaces in their garage, that is simply not enough for more than 150 rooms in the hotel. Some of the stuff could be better informed and more professional.
good location ! in front of tram station.
Very good and refurbished, helpful and friendly staff, close to center There might be a problem with parking when not using the own garage of the facility (fee applied)
The hotel was basically brand new when we stayed there - so needless to say the facilities were basically perfect. The hotel was quite luxurious and definately great value for money. It's also located out the front of a tram stop, which makes travelling around Munich easy. Staff were really friendly, the rooms are very spacious, and overall the hotel far exceeded my expectations. Only thing worth noting is that parking is 15 Euros a day.
All staffs are very kindly and friendly. There is no telephone beside of bed.
It's a beautiful and organized hotel, near at the central station and with members of staff very professional.
kitchen which was very usefull also with dishwasher and fridge. Bed was good. Poor lights in the room
Friendly and professional staff, kitchenette for cooking breakfast, located close to tram, spacious room, good value, free espresso all day. One time I returned drunk from a beer hall and needed a new key. I was embarrassed and expected some scornful looks, but the front desk handled it like pros. They even smiled and wished me a good night. Munich is great! Nothing worth mentioning.
great for long stays
Location was good, close to railway station although with a tram or taxi ride to get to the hotel. Facilities were good with self service laundry facilities available.
Bathroom in the one bed room apartment looks like aircraft one
The facilities were very nice... Each room came with a fully equipped kitchen! I arrived after a long flight and wanted to take a shower. As I was walking out of the shower, the door to my hotel room opened and a man started walking in! I quickly grabbed a towel and said excuse me and he quickly scurried out of the room, yelling "housekeeping!" As you can imagine, this was a bit of a shock. Otherwise, the staff (mainly reception) were very professional and helpful.
Great location, clean and cozy room Room was very small and breakfast selection was limited
great service and nice rooms. super friendly personnel! No mini bar in room
Near to downtown and transportation
Very friendly and helpful staff who all appeared to speak excellent English. Very decorative beds - shame the matresses were so hard, but overall a great hotel for the price. Close to station and centre but not noisy. No restaurant - a small bar - but a restaurant directly across the road which seems to stay open late - we ate there once and it was fine.
Location was excellant for our purpose of visiting the markets staff were very helpful polite courteous. A kettle in the room would have made our stay perfect. The british are a nation of tea drinkers and need tea whilst we could purchase tea from reception etc it was very expensive
Very clean, business like atmosphere. Breakfast was well worth the price. Staff was friendly, Did not have wash cloths available for guests. Had to ask to get more than two towels
The hotel is very convenient to the Hauptbahnhof (easy walking distance) and to Marienplatz. We arrived very early in the morning and I requested an early check in & was very pleased to find our room available at 7am. All hotel staff were very helpful and their English was good. If you are travelling with children I recommend Therme Erding. The hotel has brochures about it. It is a water park with thermal pools & water slides about 50 mins train trip from the main station. It was lots of fun after a long flight & some sight seeing. Allow at least 2 hours there.
The room was beautiful (though small), the breakfast had an excellent selection. I had breakfast included in the room rate, therefore I think the price is quite OK. Location is very good - 5 minutes to the Central Station, 10 minutes to the city center.
Very central. Lovely room and facilities. Pleasant staff. Breakfast was a little expensive unless one was very hungry. However locations was such that smaller breakfasts were readily available on the street.
close to the city-center, delicious breakfast, clean everywhere 1. The Hotel has not enough parking place, so the parking fee in the Parking-house at the Mars str. is more expensive as an average hotel-garage fee.
Access to all areas of munich incl english garden and uban. Also close to decent bars and rest Incredibly cramped toilet in room 9 - I wouldn't stay again because of that
The hotel is in a good place into Munich. The room was a little bit small.
Location Room & bath too smal
The fourth floor smelled like someone had taken a room deodorizer to mask an unpleasant smell. This experience was repeated in my room, which smelled even more (perhaps like it had been a smoking room once) and there were numerous stains on the carpet and shower curtain.
I just like the stuff. This is neither a 4 star nor a boutique hotel. Just a painted pension. The was no bathroom in my room even I stayed in a double room.Toilet, shower and lavatory were placed separately in the room. There is a 2 star hotel on the other side of the street it is cheaper and more compfortable than this one.
The location was great for walking to the old city. We would recommend if you are interested in this part of Munich to turn in your car if you have one. Driving is hectic and parking expensive. Breakfast was great if you got there early.
Everything was as I had anticipated it would be.
the breakfast :) safe not working, was not repaired even on asking for it 2-3 times
size, comfort, quiet of the room expensive internet connection
Plenty of hot water from a powerful shower head. The staff were friendly and when explaining issues regarding noise to receptionist he changed our rooms for us. Unfortunately he could not solve the ehs issue. I made complaints while there but I want to re-iterate that it is simply ridiculous that in order to have a twin room, the beds lie beneath the bed-side shelf. I do not want to wake up during the night have hit my head of the corner of a thick wooden shelf. There was no practical space- nowhere to put luggage, nowhere to leave a toothbrush. The only shelf was cluttered with empty containers. The lighting was appalling. I liked the red and the mood lighting but I couldn't read the a/c settings on the wall with every single light switched on. I expected it to be small so the space was not an issue just the impractical layout.
Claenliness of the room and the very well kept hotel in general.
The staff were very friendly and the location was excellent The Air Conditioning does NOT work! It is extremely hot in the hotel, even when its cool and rainy outside. If you keep the window open then the noise from the street is very loud and the fan just cannot keep up.
The breakfast is very good. Heater doesn't work well.
Hotel Antares provided an affordable alternative to the other Oktoberfest price-gauged hotels. The free breakfast was great, and I was pleasantly surprised by the large and modern bathroom. The hotel is located in a really cute neighborhood, just a 10 minute walk to Old Town, 5 minutes to Odeonsplatz, and a 30 minute walk to the main train station. The rooms here are really tiny, even for European standards. We stayed on an unseasonably warm fall night, so we had to sleep with the windows open for some fresh air. This meant that all the noises of the city on a Friday night carried up into our room. I don't blame the hotel, but with only 7 stories, it's hard to find a room away from the noise.
Great location and value for the money. Courteous hotel staff. Would stay here again. Very small room, but not a big issue since we used the hotel only as a place to sleep.
The hotel had a lovely breakfast buffet included in the rate. Definitely a plus.
Location, price and was quiet (apart from dustbin collection morning!). Staff were great, breakfast pretty good. Can walk to the city centre, Englisher Garten etc.
The location was very good. It was near the main railway station and old city centre. And the staff is also helpful. Breakfast was nice. I have a car and i need a parking space for my car. The hotel has a special parking space on site but it's really difficult to park in there. Very small and narrow.
Very helpful staff and easy walking distance to the centre of the city. Some good restaurants and cafes and the Englishchergarten is nearby Very small room; hard pillows
Basic amenities, provides what one expects from a hotel: room with bathroom, door locks, quiet enough and decent breakfast.
position parking not available; room very small
It's location - in the center of Munich. The breakfast was delightful and rich. The staff was very friendly and helped us a lot. Rooms are very small, but it wasn't so bad.
Fiendly, clean and tidy. Good vfm No air con so hot and stuffy with windows shut; noisy with windows open (but didn't bother me).
It was off the beaten track, but still close enough to walk to all the key attractions within the city center. In one of the nicest areas of Munich.
the rooms are much too small for 3* hotel and the furniture inside is like in a hostel to reduce the number of stars to 2*
The location is pretty nice, the breakfast was reasonable, and the room was very clean. Equipment of the bathroom wasn't neither modern, nor convenient. Internet in the hotel is not free (for some reason they were charging 3 dollars per day), but I was able to connect to a random wifi network from a nearby cafe.
simple, comfortable, quiet, nice bed on platform, nothing fancy, great location, very friendly staff, windows open up for fresh air, good lighting, roomy bathroom, cool balcony. Not the Ritz but if you want to be near great places in Munich, this is nice. Super breakfast.
Awesome breakfast, super friendly staff None
Very nice room
I did enjoy the short distance to the old city and the surrounding parks The internet connection was poor or non-existing.
Location. rooms are big enough. The pictures are deceptive, we had an old room that didn't look like the pictures. The bathroom was especially old. The breakfast room is too small.
The hotel was very nice and was a good location. The breakfast was great, and the staff was nice. Rooms were good sized and nicely furnished. Also it was really nice to have the free internet in the lobby. Several times we asked the staff for information and tips on sightseeing. They were very nice and helpful, but did not have very much information to provide. We also had difficulty paying with two separate credit cards on check-out, even though when we checked in we were told this would be no problem.
The facility was out of date Internet was very slow and had to log in with ID and Password every time I use it Staff were rude and were not helpful, when asked for recommendation on where to eat they just told me to turn right and go down the street and there was nothing there when I did. Bed was very small with not enough cushion I had to check my room key in every time I left and came back to the room
Excellent service from this friendly, well located hotel. Clean, good breakfast and well decorated rooms
Hotel Hauser was a great little hotel, right next to the university. Close to a metro stop and it's even an okay walk to the city center. Staff was friendly and breakfast great. No iron, but that's typical of Europe. Also the room doors were hard to lock/unlock and you had to actually put the key in and lock it from the inside when you got in the room.
The location is perfect for visiting at LMU. The building is a little noisy.
This hotel is very convenient to the subway system, friendly staff, and clean rooms.
the location near the University and it is close to the Underground stop.l
Breakfast was excellent Internet connection was poor
Bathroom is tiny. Not much room to move around in the double room - there is around 30 cm space between the bed and the table
The hotel is well located and accessible to anywhere in Munchen with good public transportation. Breakfast is of quality and I especially appreciate the possibility to leave my luggage for more than a few days there. It is very thoughtful and generous of the direction. For this I'll return to this hotel again in the near future.
staff, breakfast, convienec to everything early cleaning--but with do not disturb sign--no problem
free internet access
The Hotel is very hold and need a proof renovation, very stuffy stuff
1. The location is really ideal, close to the central station of Munich. 2. The room is relatively comfortable and clean.3. The reception is warm-hearted and helpful. 4. Very good breakfast. The room is small.
The only good thing about this "hotel" (which is, in fact, rather a youth hostel) is the location: it's close to the train station (S Ostendstraße) and quiet. Do NOT stay here if you are a non-smoker. Apparently they use all rooms both ways, so your room will smell like smoke and so will your clothes when you leave. Also, there are ashtrays all over the corridors. The rooms are ugly and the furniture cheap. There is only one hair-dryer for the whole hotel at the reception, so if you need one make sure to bring your own. If you pay more than 50 Euro per room and night you will feel bad about it.
central location, friendly atmosphere.
Central location Strange bathroom layout - handbasin separate from wc & shower - wc and shower area were a bit too small
The hotel was perfectly located for our trip to OBERAMMAGAU to see the Passion Play and its location, directly opposite to the railway station could not have been more convenient
There were holes in the walls, the rooms were not clean, and one cannot describe the staff in any other words than rude inconsiderate assholes who don't give a s*** about their customers. It was so bad I fact that we had to leave and find another hotel to stay at.
closeness of railway station, city centre and airport bus.
Hotel is central and rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff is friendly and all have good English. Should supply free internet access.
It is comfortable in an unosyentatious way offering plenty of space and enough shelving and wardrobe space. The breakfast is good. The location-close to the main railway station is excellent. Although we were on the fourth floor (room 414) we did hear some loud voices outside late at night which woke us up.
Proximity to the station
The bedroom was excellent, with quality furnishings and was spotless. THe breakfast room and food were also excellent.
This is an excellent hotel for those wishing to visit the historic centre of Munich; ideal indeed for the great cluster of galleries just five minutes away. It is no less good for academics visiting the University. It is situated in a quiet street so sleep is uninterrupted. Staff were extremely friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and there weas abundant hot water. Breakfast was generous with first class quality food. It is excellent value for money with no frills.
The Hotel Konigswache was perfect for my brief stay in Munich. The advertised wan in the rooms was not working which caused me some inconvenience. I had to report the matter to the isp as the staff had no idea
air conditioning would be useful on hot nights. The stairs to the lift are a problem if you have a lot of luggage.
Clean room, reasonable prices, good breakfast. Rooms are small, poorly equipped and barely decorated. Very inconvenient access to the elevators. No free wireless internet.
2 blocks from the U2 subway line next to shops & restaurants on Augustenstr. 5 blocks to the Löwenbräu city brewery/restaurant about 2km to the Oktoberfest and about 2km from Marienplatz full-sized shower curtain (not one of those glass half-partitions) no problems to report
Line U2 underground direct connection to Munich Exhibition was good. Staff was unfriendlty and unhelpy.
The Hotel is all at avarage level
Close to the Underground The single bed was not comfortable. They had construction work starting at 7am very loud.
Location No air-conditioning. Most places are designed for cooler summers !!
Located in quiet street, 10 min walk from the place I had to be. Friendly staff, and a very good price for the quality.
