I always stay there. It is the best around!
I love their comforter and pillows so much, that I remembered to stay there again, even though the last time I stayed was maybe 12-13 years ago. This despite the fact that I've tried 4 Seasons and other luxury hotels. This is the only one that left an impression. Great restaurant - tried it for dinner and breakfast. The only negative is the (free) WIFI - connection was difficult, convoluted, and unreliable.
Breakfast is excellent. Location is convient to all. And staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay at this hotel again next time in town. Exercise room s/b more spacious.
Location close to Rue St Catherin's and Crescent where all the bars and clubs are almost found in Montreal. Mont Royal is very close too. You can see what other people are doing in their adjacent buildings, not a big deal to me but to some it might be.
We liked everything. Great customer service. Nothung
Excellent small rooms
Everything was very nicely decorated and always clean. A swimming pool would be great!
There was a two hour blackout and the emergency lights never went on. I complained about that. I was told that they were working on it. The next night there was twenty minute blackout and the emergency lights were working. There should be a system to contact everyone to reassure them that everything is alright during a blackout.
Great location and good facilities....
It was a pleasant and comfortable hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful
The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathro was great with a light up mirror and great rain like shower head. They had great l'occitane soaps and shampoos and things in the shower. The restaurant was good too. Get the lobster, it was delicious! The gym was small and we had some problems with the equipment. The room cards kept not working and we would have to get them fixed in the lobby.
the room was very spacious and the bath products were first class - great staff - good food taxes on top of taxes - design was top quality and leading edge when it was new and is showing some wear and tear now
Big room and bathroom, the pool, the location, friendly staff. Can hear noise from adjacent room and from street (were on 11th floor).
The hotel is in central Montreal and very close to McGill University. It manages to feel warm and welcoming while at the same time hitting a high standard for service and amenities. We have stayed at 5-6 hotels in the area and this has become our hotel of choice. Be sure to join the preferred customer club - it is free and gives you free wifi and free coffee delivered to your room every morning.
Spacious rooms, cheap price water in hot tub was brown. Pool closed for the winter. Single ply!!! Everything is from 1991
Beautiful hotel, attentive and pleasant staff, large rooms (mostly nice views), nice heated outdoor pool and fitness room. Centrally located - Peel Metro Station is only one block away. Lovely lounge. Reasonable valet parking rate. Excellent breakfast offering in hotel cafe. Our first choice for accommodations when visiting Montreal. Great for business trips, but also family-friendly! Nothing comes to mind.
Discrepancy in room sizes when two parties made identical reservations in same class at same price at same time.
Bedding, view, tranquility and large bathroom. The staff was supper friendly, knew our names and we we were thrilled! In-out parking that was prompt. A perfect stay! No bad words a perfect stay!
The staff was friendly and helpful; the breakfast buffet delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
Nicely decored, generally friendly and helpful staff. Located near McGill. Safe in room was useful. Great room service. Expensive parking. Hallways and room could have been a little cleaner. Loud hallways sometimes.
We only stayed one night, but I was happy with our choice. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and have plenty of natural light, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the pool is shallow but big enough to do laps. It's across from McGill University, and a good 30-45mins walking distance to the Notre-Dame Basilica. Parking was $35/night.
Loved our king room! Nice views of the area and very comfortable and luxurious-feeling room! This hotel is quite a walk from old montreal, but it was very close to lots of good bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Everything including location, parking, fitness center, staff Nothing, this hotel went above and beyond expectations, great place to stay in Montreal!!
Hotel was very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Was also in a great location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, old Montreal and other landmarks.
Excellent value for money no complaints at all No complaints at all
Loved the spaciousness, the proximity to Mont Royal and the metro. Clean, comfortable. Exactly what we needed.
A very pleasant and helpful clerk at our time of checkout. She was in a wheelchair but a delightful, helpful person who is one of the nicest we have met in all our years do traveling to Montreal. It's too bad she wasn't there when we checked in. That person was just the opposite. The gentleman retrieving our car upon leaving was very helpful too. The hotel is nothing like the pictures it promotes. Our room was small and older which may explain why there was only one elevator servicing 19 floors. You could not set temperature. It would get so cold I shut off the fan pushing the cold air into the room. For the price we paid a hundred dollars more would of paid for a first class hotel like the Queen Elizabeth. There also seemed to be two sides. I believe my side needed work while the other side may be the one that's reflected in all those hotel pictures. Another reason I didn't like the person who assigned us the room. She was difficult to work with.
The location is good. TV Arabic Chanels. The following were poor: heating (we were to freeze of cold weather), bathroom was very small, TV was a very old fashion set; floor was smelly; beds were cracking.
Hotel was right downtown. Great to come back to after busy day of sightseeing Montreal! GREAT Corner ROOM! King bed.; 2 Windows; Walk-in closet; Quiet. New 42" Flat Screen TV STAFF - VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFUL.: Day Manger was excellent, Concierge was extremely helpful. Breakfast in snack bar was terrific and reasonable. Gift shop for souvenirs was great.-they gave 15% off for hotel guests. Prices were better than shops. Came after cruise from Boston- Stayed 3 nights Nothing that we didn't like.
Bed comfort and location Cost and room 1410 was so bad I had to asked to be switched 2 front desk employees especially the blonde were rude the rest were greay
Comfortable rooms, excellent statt service and excellent fitness facilitites none
Location near the shopping center & parking facilities Room did not reach the quality I expected (bathroom for instance). Staff very unpleasant
The place of stay was really comfortable and quiet, and the people at thr receptions and all the others were extremely helpful. I'm glad I was there.
The staff was friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk in you can tell this hotel wants to present the best they have to offer. The hotel is clean and rooms are also clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Perfect for my needs. The gift shop wasn't open very early in the morning (8:30am) which would have been helpful.
The hotel location is perfect within walking distance from all Montreal attractions and shopping area. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The room was clean and spacious, however, noise from mechanical equipments, neighbors' showers and toilets, plumbing and heating pipes I guess was loud, and woke me up several times during my night sleep. Other than that, the hotel was almost perfect.
The atmosphere in the hotel was nice. It is a small hotel, with affordable pricing, yet very conveniently located close to the city and with many things to do.
The staff was very nice, polite and friendly. The location is great, close to some great shops, restaurants and museums. The decor is very nice. The price is right. The many stairs, especially when one has a bad back.
Manager was very friendly and helpful when staffing the front desk. Location of hotel is very good - near main street but off a bit and quiet. Reasonable price. Spacious room. Breakfast was bad. Rolls not fresh, a rotting orange in the fruit basket, all completely self-service. Poor ventilation in the room I was in, possibly not true of other rooms.
Very comfortable and close to the race circuit for Grande Prix du Montreal. Room was spacious and very clean.
The hotel was clean and close to shopping. Not fancy but had a decent contenental breakfast. Rooms are large and have high celings. A good place to stay for the price.
Location, room itself, bath, stairway Nothing
Very close to the city centre. Room was spacious and nice. Continuous noice almost every night. Slamming doors, loud debates, squeaking stairs in the corridor. Toilet flushings in nearby rooms were heard clearly in the night, were noisy and caused us to wake up many times. Staff was inconsistent in their decision whether to charge us for internet and parking (three different people cliamed different points)
the place was very good, the staff very gently, it is near the city center.
Convenience of location. Victorian charm of the building. The air in the room felt a little stuffy since the window could not be opened. The breakfast was quite "underwhelming".
Location downtown near metro
The hotel is very well situated . Easy walking and very well located.Parking is Great in Summer.Staff were friendly and helpful. The Coffee machine is cumbersome to work in the Breakfast room and over the weekend the croissants were not always fresh.
Bed was comfortable. Without paying for upgrade, I would have had a room in the basement. Breakfast room no coffee/tea available, only two dismal food choices. Broken shower door, sloppy 2nd night tidying, easily heard neighbors, laundry left outside door overnight, bruta
The location is good. Room is not quite. I could hear noise from the next room.
Location Very very dark. Dark hallways, dark rooms. Bad smell in the bathroom. Dirty knife left in the sink. Disconnected and removed smoke detector in the room. Very little lighting.
The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be close to downtown. The price was good. There is no parking garage. The bathroom smelled gross like onions and sweat.
It was just a basic hotel It was not more than 2star hotel
The location was great. Staff allowed for early check-in, which was appreciated thin walls, could hear muffled conversations in adjacent rooms at 3am. Glass block 'windows' allowed for a draft. Dirty towels, had previous guests makeup stains on them. Requested two beds, requested cot, promised sleeper sofa - got none of these.

Staff were friendly and responsive. When we had a problem and asked to switch rooms, our choices were limited, but I think that is the nature of a smaller boutique hotel.
It had everything we needed, including a kitchen and even dishes. Free breakfast, coffee, and it was a great location. Security was concerning. There was only a staff at the desk until midnight and the door remained unlocked all night. The place is quirky and small but we didn't have any issues.
Staff was friendly enough and location was excellent. The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and was a horrible experience - my partner and I could not sleep well; consequently I will never recommend this hotel. We had mentioned the smoke but they did not change our room.
