Friendly staff No TV's
The en suite. The no alcohol sign at the front door, because of muslim owners. Also the carpets are not clean and a lot of the corridors are scruffy and cluttered. There is a sitting room adjacent to reception with an old, broken, scary gas fire. Also in our room there was a grey pillow case on the bed which had milldew stains on it!
The hotel was easy to find. It is located in a quiet street and most of the rooms overlook the back. It is close to many Asian restaurants and to public transport. The bed was comfortable. The water was more tepid than warm and the hotel/rooms need to be refurbished. I would rate the breakfast 3/10.
it was the only option left to me as Manchester was very busy the weekend i stayed. As a room, with a shower, it sufficed. it was very basic.
Quiet comfortable and nice but it's a little bit small. The Shower could be better.
The location of this hotel was excellent for our trip, just off the "curry mile" of wilmslow road, so in very easy reach of many nice restaurants. Also close to the university. The rooms were warms and reasonably comfortable, The host helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. Hotel not particularly well-maintained, some fittings loose in the bathroom. No TV in room.
no tv, not licenced
it was quiet during the night and the bedding was clean there was no room for us at breakfast, by the time there was room, breakfast was over. I mentioned this when we checked out but the man didn't seem to care.
Friendly and helpful staff, great location, accurate description, facilities exactly as described, food very more-ish! Nothing worth mentioning
Warm comfortable rooms and excellant breakfast.
When room next door ran water, noise in our room was very loud. Woke us up quite a lot through the night.
Hotel was excellent value for money. Breakfasts were superb and more than expected. Location was spot on for access to University, Fallowfield and Manchester city centre. The hotel was a haven of tranquility and I would recommend it to all. I pre booked and got confirmation of rooms booked ie 1 double and 1 single. On arrival I found that actual rooms reserved for me were 1 double twin and 1 single. Not what was booked. Hotel was busy so in reality the fact that I had pre booked was irrelevant.I Had to take what was available. I did get a double room but it was at the opposite end of the complex to where the single room was located. My daughter is an adult so it was ok but had she been a younger child the location of the 2 rooms would have been a problem. This was the only thing that was wrong with the entire trip.
It was clean and tidy, great staff and a nice atmosphere.
the location, near to my son's student house. the breakfast was also fine. the room was stifling hot, the bottom sheet too small for the bed so it kept slipping off and the mattress was incredibly soft in one spot, harder in others so i kept almost slipping off the bed and waking up.
Restaurant was nice Room had shower which was either cold or red hot, had no soap dish, toilet/shower room smelt damp and foisty. Bottom skirting on shower not there. Bed sheet didn't fit. Receptionist was very rude on the two seperate occasions we actually spoke to her. Paint or toothpaste on curtain, lumpy pillows.
Good location and reasonable price The drainage system is very noisy
Quiet, convenient location. Attractive grounds. Very good breakfast. Room did not get serviced during my 3 night stay and the tea/coffee/biscuits did not get replenished.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when approached. have to be out far too early in a morning.
The hotel was nice and clean and there was a fridge in the room which was handy!
Very courteous staff. Ideally positioned for my visit to Manchester University. I will use your hotel next time I have to visit the University No Complaints
A pleasant stay at the hotel as the room is very clean and staff helpful. However, I was surprised with the location of the hotel as it was in the centre of the 'Curry Mile' in Manchester. None-the-less, it was very convenient for me as I was visiting my daughter at the university resident just down the road.
Nothing, the rooms were worse then the pictures
It was just off the Curry Mile - good location. It was very noisy, I couldn't sleep. The staff kept talking loudly to each other in the staircase and the corridors, both at night and in the morning. A construction vehicle came in the morning and made a lot of noise in front of my window, and when I wanted to take a shower there was no water - apparently they turned it off for whatever work to be done. I find it quite unaccepptable that the management at a hotel turms the water off without prior notice to customers, after all, the reason people stay in hotels is to use the facilities. They kept telling me it would only take five minutes, but I had to wait for about 45 minutes to have a shower.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed the variety of choice at breakfast which was well presented. We appreciated the availability of off street parking. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and the condition of the bathroom which had a significant amount of black mould around the bath. There was a hole in the skirting by the toilet with a vermin trap next to it.
Friendly staff, clean modern room, good breakfasts, parking (loved it as the streets filled up with parked cars at night) At night very noisy at weekends due to being a close walk to 'Curry Mile'.
