ideal location and comfortable quiet room No coffee bar or equivalent
Needs some update in the rooms, and some better interior design. The small size of the room I was assigned, and the old fashioned design. They didn't care about the detail which is what makes the difference.
The kindliness of the people at the reception. No other person could speak a word in english. Not even in the restaurant. In my opinion, that is unacceptable in an international hotel.
Quiet neighbourhood, excellent breakfast, friendly staff
The internet connection is too expensive and the quality of the signal is low therefore I would not suggest this hotel if you are in Madrid for work
The hotel is very close to the metro station and in a safe area should you want to walk late at night. The room was very clean and the breakfast excellent The temperature control in the room did not work well and it was very hot (in november!), the room was dark. The bathroom, although spotlessly clean, was very small. The bulb over the mirror in the bathroom was not working, and it was not replaced in 3 days despite having informed reception about that
Well located for access to airport by metro and downtown. Room was small
I liked everything except that the room was too small for two people. Room too small for double also it was very hot and stuffy.
The room was comfortable and quiet. The safe in my room did not work.
10 min away from the city center. Metro just around the corner
Location was great (near tube 32 min walk) Helpfull receptionist recomended excelent Italian restaurant near by. Free internet in lobby No aircon, room very warm, no iron and ironing board available (for H+S reasons !)
The staff was courteous and their restaurant, Santceloni was fabulous. housekeeping was very stingy with the toiletries and we had a misunderstanding over the price of breakfast when checking out. We were quoted a different price and management would not compromise with us. Certainly not a 5 star hotel!!
vacuming outside the room on sunday at 9.00 am.
it was very well located on the main strip one minute from the tube stop we were coming from bilbao and did not have to deal much with traffic in madrid we were there to see the real madrid game and go to arco so it worked great but that was thanks to your website for having that information available. the room was very quiet and comfortable we slept very well everything super clean and just happy so nice to return too after a long day/night it was further than I would of wanted from the old part of the city, prado etc but for this trip we needed to be further out of town so it worked , but next time i may have to stay some place closer to the city center to avoid driving about etc ...would like the breakfast to extend beyond 12 we were out late and wanted to sleep as long as we could and would of stayed for breakfast if it was open longer they have a pillow service but I asked for a latex pillow and they brought me a hard one not the same at all but everything else was so nice I did not care
Expensive and unhelpful reception staff with a muddled check in (they couldn't find the reservation) and an muddled check out when they did not comply with request to charge card as included in booking form comments. We wrote to register a complaint but received no reply.
hotel has a small bar but 2 TV sets that are on full blast showing football. Not exactly a quiet and sophisticated bar more like a football pub.
nice hotel good staff
We completely enjoyed our stay at the Hesperia Madrid. The staff is incredible. They are so helpful and kind. The hotel is a small boutique hotel above the hetic area around the Prado, so it is a bit more quiet. There is a 4 star restaurant in the hotel. We had a beautiful room on a high floor with lots of light and a lovely marble bath. I would definitely stay there again! Nothing I didn't like
Staff including cleaning staff very efficient and kind
Good breakfast. Good location in the middle of old ity centre, financial centre and new shopping centre. Rooms/facilities not a typical 5 star ambiance.
Staff, service, food & general helpfulness Wiyhout swimming pool or gymnasium - I thought pricing was high
Helpful staff Great breakfast buffet Noises from plumbing - 'water hammer' caused by air in system. Room was small for 5* No UK sat TV channels except Sky news
My room was on a high floor. The location was quite good - it's a rich- ish business area, and the hotel is only a few hundred metres from the nearby subway (line 10) I asked for a room with a balcony, and feather pillows. Neither were provided. The pillows were particularly uncomfortable. Very thick, and a hard foam.
The location is quite good, close to the metro station, easy to get there from the airport by metro. Also the sorroundings are really quiet and nice, good to walk around.
it has a good location; breakfast is good and the staff are very helpful The a/c was not working properly and it was hot in the room. there was an adolecent package tour group in the hotel and there was a lot of noise throughout the night
Staff were very helpful and the location was near the business district at Maria de Molina with access to two metro stops that can take you anywhere in Madrid within 20 minutes Shower in my room was blocked, safe did not work too.
Good location w.r.t public transportation and connection to industry area East of Madrid, friendly staff, good restaurant
Centrally located Staff most helpful. Breakfast expensive
good service quality, conventient location, tidy suite, various tv channels
Location of the hotel Cleanliness of the room was not as expected, especially in the bathroom. rooms are old and without any comfort.
