Well I like the breakfast buffet that's all. This wrongly starred hotel do not offer airconditioning in their rooms ,do you believe that. If you are asthmatic do not stay here, super dusty rooms, damp bathrooms ,no airconditioning means no air filtration This hotel is 2 not a 4 star hotel , when you see the name you think well Petit is a nice name but when you arrive at the hotel you realize that everything is really petit indeed from the tiny reception ,to the tiny elevators, tiny restaurant, tiny room.
Excellent hotell, great value for money
(almost) everything was fabulous! rooms, staff, bar/ restaurant one night, workmen were sawing and hammering away in the kitchen at five in the morning
excellent location, excellent hotel
Room was clean, staff was helpful and pleasant, location close to metro, shopping and center of the city. I didn't like location of the hotel - outside environment. Because of this, there was a lot of security in the hotel, eg card required in the elevator to go to any floor or to go up/down the stairs.
Location, room design, atmosphere. Some noise comming from other room's bathroom.
The pleasant ,prompt approach and service of the personnel Average breakfast.should be more rich.
Extra friendly staff, nice rooms, overall great choice No internet yet
The location to city sites, the cleanliness, quality of breakfast and friendliness of staff The lift had difficulty stopping on the 4th floor and the unavailabilty of english channels on tv
The location is simply one of the best because very central, the staff always friendly and helpful. Use of the roof top pool is charged with €20 per day and room even for hotel guests
I liked a lot the location of the hotel and the fact that it was situated next to everything!
The photos of the room had nothing to do with the actual case upon our arrival. The appartment was very old reminding 70s even though its space was satisfactory. Especially the prison bars separating the kitchen from the rest appartment were very funny
generally friendly & helpful staff. location great. room clean and fairly spacious for a twin. kitchen area small but had all that was needed for brief stay. view was awful - just outdoor hotel wall and windows of other rooms. i asked but was not offered an upgrade to a nicer view room. i was simply told that all the others were suites (and therefore more expensive). twin beds were fold-down type (from the wall and were quite short). I would stilll recommend hotel but only as a budget no-frills option.
It was a clean cheap, centric, nice apartment for four people in Madrid.
Staffs are super friendly. The location is very close to metro station (almost 1 min). The hotel's building itself is very old; however the rooms are in good conditions. Rooms are very warm and cozy. On our arrival they didn’t put the shampoo and towel, however after we asked they provided them very quickly. The TV is too small (i reckon it was 14 inch) and there are just 4 channels available to watch.
The room was very modern, but minimal. It's advertised as a B&B. I didn't know this meant you need to bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
Location and cleanliness of the room. An appartment for 4 people was in fact one bedroom for 2 + 2 couches in the livingroom, with only one bathroom (it wasn't explicit when we made the reservation
Simple rooms but very clean and in a good location. Employees were very kind. The only bad thing was the isolation. You could here your neighboors TV. But there was no noise from outside. Great price/quality relation. The room had a small fridge and a microwave oven, that were very usefull in a rainy day.
The hotel is clean. You can pay the bill with VISA, although they charge for the whole duration on the first day. The staff speaks English (some of it). Pretty clean and comfortable. It was quiet! The walls are thin so you sometimes hear the guy next door in the WC.
The manager of the hotel was very polite and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The hostal is just a short walk to all major streets and attractions. I would definitely recommend.
Great location, clean, comfortable room.
nothing. no elevator. it was very inconvinient! and because of the wooden floor, i could hear somebody's step upstairs and next doors.
It was very close to the Gran Via Metro Station, that makes it easy to get there from the airport. It has a great location, in the center of Madrid, close to many attractions and shops. Very complete services: air-conditioned, free Wi-Fi, TV, telephone, hairdryer. Bathroom and room were very clean and had a balcony. Our room was nicer that it looked in the pictures. Good value. We recommend it.
The hostel was easy to find and the staff were very friendly. I speak little spanish but this did not cause problems. The room was kept clean and the evening were quiet.
Very nice hostel. Excellent location and price!! No lift...
Location of the hotel was great - in the city center and very close to the shopping area. It was very dark in the evening on the stairs. The site staff didn't speak English.
The Staff were friendly and polite despite my lack of spanish. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable for this particular trip. two things really...english TV would have been good, and Tea and Coffee facilities in the room would have also been good.
Silence, friendly staff, location,
Newly renovated clean rooms with new TV, ideal for gays, just in the heart of gay area The rooms are little bit too small and can be rather loud.
I originally booked a room for 2 people but then had to ammend it to 3 people. I was afraid that this would cause some confusion when we arrived. When we got there the staff (although I had little Spanish and they had little English) were very helpful and we quickly got a room for 3 people. The rooms were very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The location was fantastic, near a Metro stop and lots of shopping and places to eat. If you want luxury and a romantic trip I would not recommend this hotel, but if you need somewhere to stay for a couple of nights while doing some sightseeing and exploring in Madrid it's perfect.
Rooms are big enough There is only one floor, the reception is near our room
Great location, cosy room, everything what you'd expect from a budget hostel. We had a hard time talking to the ladies from the hostel (they speak only Spanish) but once you have your own key to all the doors, no one really bothers you.
Excelent location, 5m from Gran Via and the subway. Nice, clean and cosy. Friendly staff. The room was really small, but I've stayed in much smaller hotel rooms in London. The Odesa is a gay-friendly, but very respectable hotel and for its rates and location, ideal to spend a few days in Madrid. (note that I am not gay and didn't feel "unconfortable" at the Odesa)
Very centric location, hotel staff very friendly. Small very agreeable terrace with a view to the roofs of the center of Madrid, in which it is possible to eat anything that is bought in the same street.
the location of the hotel is excellent, near to the metro station and at a walking distance from touristic sights, the staff was helpful answering all my questions and the room was small but cosy.
Help from staff The rooms are basic
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms where clean and the location was perfect, we could walk to everything. The free Wifi was great as well.
The Hotel Receptionist was very helpful and they have good internet conection.
very close to metro the creeky wooden floors
Good location, clean and neat rooms, fair service, good price It can get really loud in the night, making it almost impossible to sleep
We were two couples, got two double rooms which deffered a bit from each other by design but were quite equal. The hotel is clean and is worth 100% the money. The hotel staff we saw was one lady who cleaned the rooms and made check-in,out. She was nice, didn't speak any English though:). The location of the hotel is very good, central and close to the metro. We enjoyed our one night stay. The walls are not thick so you can hear noices in the morning. It's ok though if you don't like to sleep late:).
Hotel position good. Adequate & clean with plenty of hot water. Reciptionist only spoke Spanish, so communication impossible as if like ourselves we didn't speak Spanish. Only one power point working in room as the points relating to the fridge, T.V. had no power.
The location was perfect. The staff is nice and helpful, and the room was very clean.
The hotel is in an escellent location and good value for money.
cheap, clean, good location, nice staff, comfortable bed, the shower was clean but i had some problems with the temperature control
Good location, and just round the corner from a great jazz club
nice room, good location in Madrid staff did not speak one word English (only Spanish)
Very correct, good location just Metro Stop Alonso Martinez, quiet, clean and a very comfortable bed situated in a good neighborhood. We would stay there again, for sure.
Location perfect in the middle of Chueca Room was quite noisy at night with people coming in and talking loud, slamming doors etc.
The location was perfect and it was easy to reach the measure tourists' sites in Madrid. The single was tiny but clean. I asked for a non-smoking room but it was not ready and they gave me a smoking room. In the end, they cleaned the non-smoking room for me which took some time. This was a bit dissapointing after having reached the hotel exhausted. The wash basin in the bathroom was too tiny to wash anything.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The street noise was tough, because it was a weekend night.
Friendliness It was a little too close to the area where the ladies of the night work !
Tha staff was so helpful and joyful :)I suggested to aLL my friend already. I didn't made the ticket for the metro neither. we've been walking around all the time.
The Hostal is simple but well equipped. It was nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were lovely, making it a pleasure to stay. It is a great location. The hotel is noisy with very thin walls, as are many spanish buildings, so ear plugs are a must! For us that solved the problem.
The location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to Sol. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The staff were friendly. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs cos Fuencarral can be a noisy street.
