locations Cleanliness of my room
New, well appointed, comfortable, convenient. Price of a room almost doubled in less than a month. Would only stay there again at the price I paid in May; 125gbp vs 225gbp a night.
The room was excellent and very comfortable. However I found the pillows were too soft - apart from that I like everything else about the room. Breakfast was not included in the room price and I thought the breakfast was overpriced. We eat breakfast close by on the Southbank rather than at the hotel and found it to be much cheaper. Also the quality of where we ate our breakfast was very good.
It was just average to us. Nothing impressive. It was again, fine. Nothing terrible either.
Room were lovely Staff efficient and friendly Lovely hotel Rooms were far too hot at night Breakfast area - Shown to a table that was not laid up but dirty then had to stand and wait until waitress cleared cleaned and re-laid. Bits of food below by our feet. Breakfast buffet lovely except cooked breakfast, dissappointing in lack of choice of egg and most food only warm, scrambled eggs cold.
Rooms were superb. Service was excellent.
Excellent location friendly staff
Very helpful staff.Very clean. Perfect location for quick wkend trip.
Comfortable bed, light excluding curtains, very useful small kitchen area, good bathroom. Staff courteous. Awful view from bedroom window, sitting area of room very dark. Not enough staff on reception for booking in felt rather like a queue waiting for tickets. Housekeeping took 30 mins to respond to request .
The staff were extra friendly. The spa is closed on weekends.
very clean, well positioned ,clearly very new and up to the minute in terms of facilities Staff at desk not able to deal with simple requests had to be dealt with through guest services and initially would not even dial the appropriate extension for us.
The studio room was superb and also the view from the room. The location is perfect. The staff at check in. There was litter in the room.
The concierge put me in a ceappy room cos I didn't dress professional enough.
We were given a room that had a fantastic view over the quay.
Went as a London marathon runner. Made people feel welcome. Nice touch to give out free bananas & water. Clean hotel. Good gym facilities. Slow check in process. Expensive dinner & breakfast. I booked hotel when vat was 15%&my stay was when it was 17.5-hotel charged difference. Thought the hotel as a gesture could have met small cost itself.
Location, public areas, staff
Excellent location Television didn't work and suite is looking tired
The cleanliness of the room was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable.
Location and the variety of shopping. Location gives easy access to central London via tube or ferry Nothing negative
A lovely hotel. Very nice rooms. Excellent location
Staff very polite and put customers first at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms very comfortable. We pre ordered Breakfast in the room for 9am. Breakfast arrived at 9am on the dot!!!. No Bad Point to report.
view, cleanliness & friendliness of staff absolute nightmare to get to because of road works surrounding the immediate vicinity, however, this isn't so much a negative about the hotel itself. was disappointed we had the choice of either paying an extra £30 to park in the public car park opposite for 2 days or an extra £50 to have it valet parked. we weren't expecting such a high charge.
Staff were excellent. Hotel very clean and well kept.
the room was best breakfast was very disorganised. no clean tables. not enough staff.
The wait staff at the pizza bar gave excellent service. Rooms were dated. The bathroom on the 2nd floor had peeling paint, the tub faucet in room 510 leaked on to the floor, no adaptors plugs in rooms for international travelers. Computer room was out of service for the duration of our stay. No valet service available. This hotel should be 1-2 stars at most. The staff at the hotel avoided eye contact. Did not recieve value for my money.
View and location was great. I didn't like the service. Asked twice for the air conditioning to be regulated down. As it was blowing at 28 degrees. First time was in the morning so they had all day to fix it. 2nd time was that night.. The resolution was they could open a small window for us. There was no smile and no service mind. The person behind the desk was just annoyed that there was something for him to fix. I asked for another room of that was or another fan.. But no...
Location Couldn't get the temperature below 25.5C so the thermostat or heating was broken. I ended up in a smoking room which I didn't even think existed anymore, so if you really want to stay here check up on this.
It is convenient for the O2 The staff were very unhelpful and breakfast was a scrum.
Helpfulness of staff. Convenience of location. They provide a good service for business travel, with relatively efficient check-in and check-out. Bed quite uncomfortable, I would expect better than two narrow singles pushed together for a double, and the bedding itself wasn't comfortable.
Breakfast was chaotic had to ask staff for various things.torn wall paper in room. air condition noisy all night.
Only stayed for one night as watching a concert at near by O2, did'nt use any of hotel facilities but hotel seemed very good. Very near O2 stadium hich was great for our needs. Not much else happening arounf hotel and alot of building work still going on
Good Loaction Wifi internet frequent breakdowns
My room was entred 3 times in the morning by a member of staff and not even a know or apology was heard!!
Very pleasant suuroundings. The room was booked as 'executive suite' and wasn't as big as we had anticipated,(the two beds necessarily pushed together) although the jacussi was good. View over the water from the bar was lovely. Breakfast was good.
This is the best location in London, steps from Covent Garden, an easy walk across the Waterloo Bridge, convenient to theaters. Thanks to recent renovations, rooms are contemporary and comfortable; staff is friendly and helpful. I have been staying here off and on for more than 25 years! The food continues to be marginal at best, and not a good value for the money. Fortunately, there are many good and reasonably-priced restaurants nearby.
location was excellent The room should be renewed as soon as possible. They sold the London of map. It should be free of charge.
Very central location, good value for money
Everything was perfect
Staff was really friendly and ready to help.
Service was excellent, especially Francesco who made us welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. The hotel was extremely clean and very close to the metro station and Trafalgar Square Room was on the small side.
the hotel is so close to the theatres on the Strand and Covent Garden, it makes it so convenient. There was nothing I didn't like but thought the £8 charge for an ice bucket from room service was a bit steep!
The room was just big enough and was practical. The bathroom was excellent. TV was provided. I would like to be able to make more than 2 cups of tea or coffee! I take sugar and that was in limited supply.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, nice clean rooms.
I liked the location, and the clean, bright room that had good bathroom space and a reasonable work surface. Similarly priced rooms in London are often very cramped and/or quite worn down. a really nice (and necessary, in our case) feature of the room is the sliding solid wood shutters that completely seal off outside light. This was my third or fourth stay at the sph. The weatherstripping around the windows was completely shot and ineffective, so if we had the shutters open, a powerful draft whipped through the room. There was a cold snap in London at the time, so the result was that we couldn't open the shutters and curtains to enjoy daylight. Also, as our room was over The Strand, it was very noisy at night. However, I would definitely stay again
Ease of location to DLR and nice area. Construction work next door woke us early.
Accessibilty for wheelchair users, ease of parking, quality of furniture and fittings, size of room, design of bathroom for wheelchair use.
The room clean and peaceful
Nice, new hotel. Convenient, if expensive, parking. Large rooms, good bar, reasonable breakfast. Decent value if you can get a weekend rate. Bed too soft and pillows too hard. Can be a bit time-consuming and tiring travelling across London by public transport from the hotel, but that's the flip side of a decent weekend rate.
Excellent location close to LDR station. We chose a shopping break package which was fantastic value. The food was very high quality and the on-site leisure facilities were a bonus. Will certainly be visiting again.
everything was great once we got our room The time it took to get our room at check in
Comfortable room Reception area very cold as was breakfast area ?
Staff were veryhelpful
It was beautiful, the staff were friendly, roomservice and restaurant food was delicious and well priced, pool facilities were gorgeous... best hotel I've ever stayed in, better than the Hilton by far. N/A
The swimmingpool was excellent! My Children loved it! The staff could have been more friendly during our stay, not only when we were checking in and out!
The bed was soooo comfortable The bar was expensive and it was difficult and expensive to get to the O2
Staff were very nice. The local area was very nice as well. Lots of restaurants to chose from. Easy access to the tube and DLR. It was a little far from the city center. It was manageable and was worth the slightly longer transport times. The housekeeping service was somewhat spotty. I had to request it on one occasion.
LOCATION LOCATION NOTHING
IT WAS SO AWESOME! me and my daughter lived here over the summer. sure it costs some money, but it is worth it. we are coming back this year for the summer.
location choice of food in restaurant
very central fantastic location.
A nice complimentary breakfast the following day. We booked a table for 4 in the hotel's Italian restaurant for Saturday 27/11/10 at 5pm in order for us to attend a show. When we were ready to eat we were told that we didn't have a reservation as this restaurant did not open on a Saturday night. We were however placed in your Japanese restaurant without too much bother. Better communication with guests would be better.
The hotel is in a good spot, next to oxford street. breakfast was an extra £9.95 each per day.
Location is good Size of the room, the bed and the badthroom is too small, (very small).
Concierge people are very nice. Single room has no place for luggage
location was fantastic no
Location. Location. Helpful and pleasant staff. Cold room in morning. Too few lifts. Lack of TV channels.
We went on a weekend away because he had tickets to see Harry Potter and the cursed child, which the hotel was a short five minute walk away which was great for me and my friend to get there as it was over 2 nights. However we were never informed that there was to be building works happening throughout February. This resulted in there being no room for a reception desk and little to do in the hotel as everything was cordened off. As for the rooms, they were small and dated, they also didn't have much of a blind for the windows. As there has been a neon lit build finished across the street from the hotel, the room was lit up all night. To add to this there was a false fire alarm at 4am in the morning which no one came to inform us about but we could barely hear it from our room. The shower cubicle was really small with a really powerful shower that wasn't pleasant and to top everything we had a cockroach crawl into our room just before our departure that resided under our bed. All in all multiple things went wrong with our stay and I wouldn't recommend.
Access to tube trains This hotel is not a star hotel. Rooms are very small
Very over priced
The restaurant was good The bed was hard and uncomfortable. It made a squeaky noise every time you get in bed or move.
The place where it is situated is very good and environment friendly The types of food that can be offered no explanation was given on menues.
Good Hotel at the right price Paying to park at the hotel
No exit from the hotel terrace to the dock side
The beds and rooom are very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and pleasant I did not like the fact I was given a bedroom with one large bed and I booked a twin room. I was told they had over booked. When I produced my document stating my booking I asked to speak to the manager, she then gave me the room I booked. Not good after a very long day.
The location, next to the Excel Centre and DLR station with good links to the Underground, central london and the 02. The hotel was also of a good standard.
The location is very convenient for travelling
I found the Hotel very pleasent and had no problems not enough seating in Bar / Shower ok but bathroom very small
Very comfy bed Long wait for drinks after ordering at bar. I didn't like the fact that there was not a wash hand basin in the toilet in the room. You had to go into the shower/sink/bath room to wash your hands.
service of staff, quality of breakfast nothing
lovely interior through the whole hotel
Restorant facilyty. Excellent food. Room Air conditioning cold and noisy. Impossible to put warmer. Impossible to stop. Staff said its normal behaviour. I don't beleive it.
Staff were all courteous, professional and friendly. London hotels today are usually staffed by young Europeans - this is no exception, though I had the impression Ramada's staff were trained. Very brown rooms. Curtains like two brown slugs hanging by the window...update them and the room will feel fresher and more welcoming. Mattress on my bed was incredibly soft - poor quality.
The quality of the room and the general service. No problems at all.
the view was lovely
We chose it for it's proximity to the O2 and the DLR and it proved very convenient for both. Evening meal in restaurant was good. As in many large hotel other guests a little inconsiderate i.e. banging doors, noisy returning in evening. Hotel furnishings a little tired.
We liked the view from the hotel, close rail link.
This hotel is about to complete renovations and it looks great. First the rooms are very nicely decorated, they have a great size and are very comfortable. For a hotel so close to the Airport you cannot hear a thing. Several airplanes landed and took off over night and I did not hear a thing from the outside. The rest of the hotel is incredible. The hotel restaurant serves great food, very high class, the quality is great. I would highly recommend eating at the hotel. I have only had bad experiences at Ramada's but if they all remodel to be like this one I would stay here always.
beds are far too soft
No Noise even though the airport is very close
The helpfulness of ther staff when I asked for a different room. The new room was far superior to the original room allocated. Restaurant was booked for a private function and we were not informed of this - so a bit of communication would have been helpful.
Breakfast was excellent and the physical restaurant was a pleasant suprise. Also had some light fare in the bar in the evening and it was substantial and tasty. WIFI wasn't as good as I've come to expect from most places in London. The whole place looked a bit worn and could use a refresh.
Very good value for money for a quality stay distance from public transport
Convenient to DLR services. Close enough to many of Londons tourist attractions. Comfortable room size. Very polite and helpful staff. Insufficient parking which mant we had to walk to another hotel to park our car securely. This doesn't seem to be a very business like way of running a hotel with the prestigious name of Hilton. If I had been staying for business purposes, or had been elderly or infirm the walk would have been inconvenient and in the icy conditions possibley hazardous.
Helpful pleasant staff in all areas. Nice room, and in close proximity to our events at the o2 arena Nothing
very quiet good rail links Breakfast plates need to be hot
Wonderful hotel, great staff, awesome price. Close to the tube so travel was extremely easy. Breakfast included in the price was very good. No
I liked the decor and the comfort of the room. The restaurant was very nice and the choice for breakfast was really good No
breakfast and the service
Superb location - used for promixity for the O2 arena and the shopping centre in Canary wharf. Really easy to get to, and staff really welcoming and helpful.
the location was good, close to restaurants and the underground, the staff were friendly & the room was very comfortable. I would definately recommend this hotel and come back again.
Staff were all pleasant and helpful, large comfortable room, convenient location, relaxing atmosphere, good towels and complementary toiletries. Small window made it a bit dark in the room, housekeeping slightly inconsistent, loud whistling noise when running bath/shower, no cutlery in room, no space for cold storage of personal items
close to O2, staff extremely nice, willing to help and very friendly. We appreciate getting the room immediately upon arrival (9am) Bathroom, too small
access to City airport and location//surroundings from business perpective
The room was lovely - everything you needed and amazing toiletries. The location of the hotel was ideal, a short walk from Southwark or you could walk straight out onto the Southbank. The staff were all delightful and extremely helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.
None There were a number of issues prior to even arriving at the hotel - I contacted I contacted the hotel to ensure they could verify my reservation so I didn't experience any issues on arrival. I was passed from pillar to post to try and confirm this, and they were adamant that there was no reservation with my details. Another member of the team said she couldn't discuss anything with me because she didn't believe it was my booking. On arrival at the hotel, I had no internet connection. I was extremely surprised but also annoyed because prior to making the reservation, I specifically checked on the Hilton Hotels & Resorts website where it stated that Wi-Fi was complimentary in all guest rooms. Not only this, but when I went to take a shower, the bath was extremely filthy & greasy and there was no soap available to even wash my hands. For a renowned hotel chain that has an excellent reputation, I was not expecting this appalling service. Although I did contact Mr Chris Nassetta (CEO) and his team handled the matter pretty well - so that was a positive.
complimentary wine for our wedding anniversary and shuttle bus service to and from tube station smell of stale cigarette smoke in area outside of room
Friendly staff at reception and restaurant area. Very good room service. Unprofessional staff members in the lounge bar area, rooms very small, and heating could not be adjusted.
The staff were very friendly , professional , and efficient . We had a quick check in could not complain about anything at all. I liked the whole experience the bedroom was excellent , the breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel. Really would recommend this lovely hotel to any body
The view from the room No 1342 was good. I have left my comments at the hotel.
Room was small, could not adjust heating, wash basin did not drain properly
Friendly staff, brilliant service nothing loved every minute
Thye staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is well placed for exploring the rehabilitation work done to the old London docks, particularly the Russia Dock which is now a delightful woodland linear park. The views from our room balcony were staright out over the Thames - really interesting. The rooms are so small that a bar fridge is available on request, not as a standard item of fitout. We discovered this when checking out. The room size is much smaller than what is expected from a Hilton hotel.
The vista across London No control over heating, belching out to discomfort The TV kept announcing a welcom to somone, not me The Bathroom shower leaked & a little shabby i.e hooks missing from door
pleasent staff poorly laid out tiny rooms with the worst bathroom i've ever had to use !this is not a 4* experience hotel ! breakfast in dinning room was cramped over busy ( had to que ) - overpriced , poor value for money , let's down the "Hilton" name as have stayed in other Hilton hotels in this country which have been excepeptional !
Reception team are very helpful specially the Filipino lady and Sri Lankan gentelman. I had to carry my luggage from my Taxi till reception counter while 2 bell boys were standing in the lobby and never offer assistance till i asked for it.
Staff were excellent, facilities good and rooms very clean and comfortable
good location for O2 Public areas were cold - central heating was not on.
Very comfortable room with good facilities. Staff were helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Check out time a bit early at 9.30am
Room & Staff
Good location in Greenwich, good breakfast, Longer to walk to O2 stadium than map suggested but easy taxi ride (or bus)
central for travel the check-out time of 09.30 is the earliest i have ever known in the world. i stay in aprox 100-150 per year so that takes some doing!!
location to tube bus stops O2 arena .The park at the side hotel in its own grounds.
The high level of customer service and the friendliness of the staff. They were extremely helpful and the hotel was very stylish. I was very impressed.
nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, free internet
Overall stay was ok. IMHO there are better options closer to the London landmarks.
It was very modern, and luxuirious.was a ery friendly atmophere.the staff were very nice and polte, and it was very clean and spacious. The windows did not open, and the heating was hard to work, and when we asked how to owrk it, the staff said they would send someone up to our room to sort it and they didn't .other then that, perfect
