All the rooms are finished and the earlier complaints about the horrible construction noise is no longer an issue. I think they are still working on the lobby in parts, but did not bother me at all. Very pretty room, loved the decor. I got a discount price for booking during their construction I guess, and lucked out, for there is no construction, so price was very fair. Parking garage/valet is 22.00 a night, which is steep, but I used it because I wanted to feel safe and it does that. High price for parking, 22.00 a night is pretty high for Arkansas, and wow! Marriott is cleaning up on that one. ha!
The hotel has been completely redone and you can tell. The rooms are large and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. No complaints
Searched dates did not coincide with dates reserved. My room was given away.
I loved the location to the river market district. We were able to walk to the bars and restaurants that we wanted to visit. We were on the 19th floor of the hotel so we had a great view of downtown Little Rock I booked a "deluxe room" for approx. $170 per night, which isn't insanely high, but I definitely could have found better rates at comparable hotels in the area. When I got to the room it was VERY small, and had 2 DOUBLE beds. I called the front desk and confirmed that this was in fact a "deluxe" room and they said yes. I asked if I could pay to upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds, since there were 4 adults in the group, and they said that double beds were the largest beds they had on property for rooms with 2 beds. That was very disappointing considering I can go to a Holiday Inn Express and get a room with 2 queen beds for $50 cheaper per night. Also, the room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. All of the above are things that come standard in most hotels that are significantly cheaper. For the amount of money that we paid, I was not satisfied with the value.
I liked the elegance of the place. Made me feel fancy. I didn't like the extra money I spent on things that I felt should have been standard. I should have saved my money and stayed at a cheaper place that provided things such as parking and a microwave/fridge. While I enjoyed the view I don't feel that I should have had to pay additional money for it or parking. All in all it was too expensive for the level of elegance they were selling as standard.
The shuttle was awesome. The hotel is dirty and run down
We had a roach in our bathroom.
Wifi works. Not too expensive. Place isn't clean and needs updates beyond a flat screen tv in the room.
Nothing Everything. Dirtiest hotel I've experienced, with stains on rugs, an unclean shower, and reeking off smoke in non smoking rooms. Don't stay here.
Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, close to everything, comfortable beds, allows pets for a much smaller fee than other hotels. Not all ice machines are plugged in so the one right outside my room didn't work; had to go upstairs for ice. Food and drinks at the bar are a bit pricey even for a hotel.
the breakfast and wifi were a plus!
Staff. They offered to pick food up for me because my flight got in so late Bed... It crunched
As the name implies, the hotel offered a very comfortable experience. After traveling from overseas to visit home, I received a hassle free check-in, stay, and check-out. There were no-hidden-fees, there was a continental breakfast, and covered pull-up. The room was a nice size and the view was wonderful.
Best free breakfast of any hotel in this class, friendly staff. KAYAK screwed up my reservation
Watched the news and monitored the hurricane! The kids enjoyed the pool and the gym! No! It is a very nice hotel! I wish they had stoves in the suites, that's all!
Never had a suite for a price like this! And the shuttle which drives me also to Central Highschool. On the first day I saw walking a big insect on the floor (don't know the name) but that can always happened.
I liked that it was quite. secluded. The floor with the pool, fourth floor I believe smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking area and we had to get moved up to the 8th floor. And we were given the lounge privileges for our inconvenience but the lounge was closed. We only stayed one night so that was useless. The beds were smaller than what was photographed on the website. Misleading. The parking garage staff is very rude! Very Unprofessional. I suggest hiring new people to say good bye to your tenants.
the location was great - clean room, nice gym the staff at the front desk to check in was not professional and needs an attitude adjustment. Her name is Laura.
Great location! We were able to have a great night a restaurants and bars without going more than a mile from the hotel. The rooms are large and clean. The hotel seems almost unfinished, the only available parking is an additional charge to the room. It could use some updating.
This hotel is located in a great location, within walking distance of many restaurants and clubs. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with an outstanding view of the riverfront. The restaurant and bar have good food as well. It is definitely a great choice for Little Rock getaways or business. Parking and breakfast should be included with the rooms at the price charged.
Planned power outage / no ac for a few hours
Convenient location Still doing construction on the property
Definitely worth the money considering its within walking distance of so many things
good prices, clean rooms, good location under staffed hotel.
The bed was awesome. Real coffee cups Rusty air vents. Glasses in bathroom still had last guest's water IN them. Tv couldn't get reception on some channels I wanted to watch. Bathroom small.
Friendly staff The hotel wasn't modern. I was expecting something a little nicer.
We were in Little Rock for my husbands treatment at the University of Arkansas Cancer Center. The staff was extremely accomodating. It was quiet, the breakfast was fresh and like the rest of the hotel very clean. The staff was able to give us a hospital rate for the next time we stay. wE WERE
This was my second time to stay here but it had been awhile. The hotel was still in good condition: Clean and comfortable. Great location for what we were doing - Conference at UALR and much better value than the hotels downtown and just as close. Our room was on the North side of the building and right above the side entrance - early in the morning it was a little noisy but I needed to get up anyway.
Very clean hotel in a nice area of Little Rock. Nice to have a good reasonably priced hotel close the medical center down the street.
Check out time is 11 am. They started to ring the room phone immediately after 11 and said. at 11:45 the front desk said that they might charge us for another day. WE HAVE 4 ROOMS FOR 2 DAYS AT REGULAR RATE OF $99 / DAY. and we have VACATED ALL THE ROOMS EXCEPT ONLY ONE. and vacated that room at 11:55. We travel at least 2 months out of the year. Will we stay in your hotel again. NEVER. Even if it was for FREE.
2 staff members I want to commend , Horce and Bubba... they went above and beyond making us welcome and our stay pleasureable ... a big thanks to them ..They took care of our every need ... our staff members were great also. would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.. thanks Embassey Suites
Location and friendly staff Room wasn't very nice compared to other embassy suites and even cheaper Hilton brands
The room and lobby area. The fish pond. I like it all. Very nice.
The pool area was very dark and very crowded. The pool had a horrible smell, the kids only swam for a few minutes.
Clean is top priority for me & the beds are very comfortable. Staff was wonderful & courteous. Definitely will continue to stay here when we are in town.
Free breakfast , spacious rooms and very courteous staff, The beds were too small, we had full size beds and we definitely need at least a Queens.
Location was convenient for us and the parking garage great as it was raining the whole time. Paid extra for the wi-fi and concession on the floor. Concession had limited variety and only worked 2 out of 6 times we went to it. Dead Bugs in bathroom lights. Closet door wouldn't close without forcing. Door reported, but they just closed it, didn't bother to fix. Requested quiet room, got it until noisy kids moved in next door.
One of the bus staff at the restaurant was the consummate professional and one of the most truly genuine people I've ever met. His name was Horace and I plan to write a letter on his behalf to the Embassy Suites. He displayed the best customer services I've ever experienced, bar none.
The location is good. I reserved and paid in advance for a room with two beds. I get there and it has one bed. Also, the air conditioning doesn't work. They moved my family to another room with working air conditioning, but we had to have a roll-away bed for the child. It is very inconvenient to had a bed in the middle of a room where it is not intended. The desk clerk brought me my new room key and didn't even say a word. She just handed it to me and walked off. The large tub in the room had dirt in the bottom of it and a cockroach on the edge of the tub. The first morning of our stay, room service did a poor job of making the bed. My four-year-old could probably have done better. The second day, when we arrived at the room at 3:00 P.M., the room had not even been made up. I went to the desk and the clerk said they just hadn't gotten to it yet. I said it was a little late now because we were in for the evening. I had to ask for clean towels. I've stayed here before and it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Now, however, the Legacy hotel is very poorly managed and run. I will not be staying there again.
Stayed for a weekend while I was in town for a wedding. Since I was short on funding for the trip I chose the Legacy based it's competitive price and location (it's right in the middle of downtown Little Rock, although downtown isn't very large) Other reviews led me to believe the hotel would be a tad run down, however I accepted the risk and booked anyways. The Hotel does show it's age, however it does have that old-timey charm that makes places like this a "boutique hotel". My room was in good shape, clean, and free of defects like peeling wallpaper, missing lightbulbs and leaky faucets. Also had a microwave and fridge, a nice little luxury for the cheapest room in the place. The lobby seemed well decorated to illustrate the hotel's past and the staff at the front were most friendly and helpful. It's not the Ritz, but much more homely and welcoming than a Motel 6. Overall a good Value. Would absolutely reccomend if you need a cheap place to stay in Littke Rock.
Knowing the rich history made my stay a pleasure. The patina that comes with age is irreplaceable. Reminiscent of European boutique hotels. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect.
The only thing to like about this entire experience was the staff member who changed our room at 3 a.m., and the understanding front desk woman who had to process our refund the next day. The hotel is filthy and smells terrible. But at 3 a.m. when you find that your hotel bed sheets and pillows are covered in bed bugs, there is nothing worse. We were packed and standing in the hall 3 minutes later, and had it not been 3 a.m. in downtown Little Rock we would have left or slept in our car. That same morning, I booked a different hotel for the rest of our stay and went to the front desk to get a refund. Not only did the owner try to tell me they weren't giving me a refund for that night, but the laundry guy tried to tell us that all hotels have bugs and that maybe they had already sprayed and the bugs just weren't dead yet. It was a completely horrible experience. Just thankful we booked through Priceline and we were able to call them and get a refund processed.
The location provides convenient access to restaurants, interstate system and businesses. The architecture and layout of building is quaint. The fitness center is a nice convenience. The morning attendant day two greeted me on the way out. Main issue was there was no remote in the room upon arrival. I had to go to the desk myself to get one. Two of the three lights in the room didn't work. I reported it night one. Upon my return for night two, only one light had been made functional. This is more a reflection of staff than facilities in my opinion. The bathroom had no counter space--something could be done that still meets the quaintness of the room.
It's in a convenient location downtown. It's close to many places that you may be going to in Little Rock. This time, we were going to a concert at the Verizon Arena. It's also not far from the Clinton Museum and the Riverfront area. This was my second time that I stayed here. The first time, I stayed with a friend. She and I didn't think too highly of it. However, it wasn't awful. I was coming back with my husband and his mom for a concert. I wanted a good deal, so I knew it wouldn't be the nicest place to stay at, but I didn't think it would be so bad. However, I realized that I wouldn't stay there again, and I regretted booking it since I had my husband and his mom with me. First, our room was not ready even though it was a little after 3 p.m. when we checked in. However, they gave us one of their apartments instead, which had two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Secondly, my husband was very disturbed by the carpet that had wax melted on it and lint and things, as if it had not been vacuumed. The most upsetting thing was that the air in our bedroom with a king bed was not working. It was making noise but you couldn't feel cold air. We called the front office. They said they were sending someone. We had to leave for dinner and the concert, so we're not sure if they came to look at it. However, it was not any better when we got back around 10:00 p.m. Third, the bed was not very comfortable. Fourth, which I knew from my first stay, the breakfast is lacking. It had the basics: two choices of mini muffins, only white bread, about 4 cereals, and some not-too-tasty-looking oranges and apples.
Love the history of the hotel. Lobby is beautiful! Location is amazing! And you couldn't ask for muxh more for the price. Will probably always be our choice hotel in Little Rock. The staff is always very nice. Needs some major updates. Even if they don't have the money for updates it needs to be kept cleaner. And simple things like the stair railing need to be fixed. If it was kept cleaner it would come off a lot nicer.
We had these reservations scheduled since September 2016. I have a confirmation number from the hotel. They called 2 weeks before our event to inform us that they would not be able to honor the reservations. The didn't offer to assist with reservations elsewhere. Basically they said, "Too Bad". This was the weekend of the Little Rock Marathon (hence the early reservations). We were very luck to find another place to stay but it cost us almost double what our confirmed price was at the Legacy. :(
Conveniently located Eating facility & food is thumbs down
I liked how quiet and charming the hotel was. It was clean but outdated, however I didn't choose to stay there because of the decor. There are not any amenities. No ice machine, breakfast, etc. But they do supply a larger mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. So if you plan to stay there any length of time, take your own snacks, etc. The parking lot is not secured, however I never felt threatened or concerned & I didn't have to pay absorbent parking fees.
The hotel has character and ambiance. The lobby is beautiful and my room was well appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. I absolutely loved the food served in Filibuster's (the bar/restaurant). It was phenomenal! The staff freshly prepared the dishes from original recipes. Truly a wonderful experience!!! There were only two issues that, one of which was addressed immediately. The toilet in my room would not flush -- maintenance arrived quickly and corrected the problem. The other issue is that the main areas of the hotel were not adequately air conditioned. It was about 90 degrees during the day and the hotel lobby and restaurant/bar were uncomfortably warm. However, the air conditioning in my room worked very well!
Good value for money. Nice oversized 2 BR apartment suite for ~$100.
The location and staff were great! The room was nice and clean with a great view of downtown LR.
The river market is beautiful. The hotel was a bit uncomfortable. The TV and Internet were terrible.
i just want to say my stay was wonderful. We had the best service and all the staff was wonderful.
Location The room was dirty. There was toothpaste on the bathroom counter and mold in the shower. There was no complimentary coffee downstairs and the "Starbucks" was closed. The front desk guy couldn't tell us anywhere open to go.
This hotel was very clean (very important factor to me), the atmosphere was charming, and the staff was stellar. They were all very friendly and warm people. The term Southern hospitality comes to mind. Even the cleaning lady was overly accommodating. After checking out I forgot my skirt in the closet and the cleaning lady ran out after me to make sure I didn't leave it behind. A little caring and understanding goes a long way and these ladies were wonderful. We travel quite a bit and hotels in this grade are usually cheaper. However, this is the nicest, cleanest, prettiest hotel we've stayed at in the area and next time we're making a trip to Little Rock we'll be back.
Its very fancy, piano and restaurant in the main lobby, beds were good, nice big rooms, nice fridge and Direct TV with 2 tvs in the room and a couch Open the door and people can see who is taking a shower the bathroom has a door which is needed but if you don't close it people will see you pooping from the hallway, breakfast is not included, Toilet had issues, No WIFi, A/C is loud, not coming here again paid for the Piano in the main lobby
Clean and up to date. Plenty of Room Kinda far away from the downtown area
Amenities were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Great shower. Power ports including usb on night stands. Tyler at the front desk was incredibly polite and helpful. Little details. No remote in room, had to get one. Parking was quite limited and had to walk around the building.
Very clean rooms ... excellent services! I will stay there again ... very happy! N/A
Good value for soccer weekend. Nice area. Typical amenities for this price hotel.
Very nice staff that remembers your name if you come often. I have stayed there for one week a month for 2 years and they still have most of the same staff. Good People
The free breakfast was excellent every morning and our server was excellent
The hotel was clean and staff nice, breakfast NOT complimentary, but decent value for money. Drawback as I see it was that they had no coffe pots or other refreshements out after the restaurant closed. Nothing close where you could get breakfast or even a cup of joe when working at the hotel in daytime. Business center was not in a separate room, you're in the middle of the lobby with talking, music and staff walking by. Street was very busy and in rooms facing the traffic, you definitely will wake up early!
The hotel is very nice. However, their idea of a 'coffeemaker' is a device that brews 1 cup at a time and only 1 packet (cup) of coffee is left in the room. This is the reason we will not stay again. Apparently the marketing is they want you up and out of room and down in lobby for their $10.00 breakfast buffet. You can (and we did) get free coffee in the lobby, but their are plently of other hotels in Little Rock. Also it was interesting that the front desk clerk brought her daughter to work with her to hang in the lobby and apparently she enjoyed telling the people checking in to 'be quiet'.
THere were people on boith sides of our room making noise all night.........No apparent security or management on duty to handle the situation. WE were awake ALL night!!
My husband and I stayed here for a Razorback game weekend/ getaway. The hotel was very nice, the staff incredibly helpful, the room was spacious, and the most important factor for us... The bed linens were crisp clean AND WHITE!! The only negative was the construction on the parkway.
I was very pleased with my stay at the West Little Rock Courtyard. The location was fantastic with more than 80 restaurants within ten minutes of the hotel. Free parking and a very secure enviornment made me very comfortable during my stay. The rooms were large and well designed. Free internet in the rooms helped me stay connected during the stay. However, the best thing about this property was the staff. The people were very outgoing and friendly. From the housekeepers to the front desk everyone was smiling and very plesant. It was a great experience and I cannot wait until my travels bring me back to Little Rock and this hotel! They know how to do it right!
Overall the hotel offered a good experience. The room was standard, with no frills. The room was fairly clean. The hotel is located near plenty of restaurant and shopping options with easy access to the interstate and major roads.
First stay was okay, since then we needed to take our child back to arkansas childrens hospital. There reservation methods have changed and I received a very rude non helpful person who became somewhat of a smart mouth until I asked to speak to her supervisor. Still they seemed to not have a rate for Arkansas Childrens Hospital patients less than two months after we were there the first time. Something should be done about this.
It was a good hotel, rooms were large and comfortable.
I hate hotels that are too cheap to put in a thermostat. Those window units with a hot-cold knob never keep the temperature in a comfortable range. You can buy a thermostat at Home Depot for $8, stop being so cheap.
The location and the decor was very nice and comfortable. The room was very comfortable. The shower was hot and enjoyable. The A/C worked well and I liked the fan. The hotel did not have any recycling options. When I asked the woman at the front desk about recycling my bottle, she treated me as if I was crazy for suggesting it.
Staff No internet
Clean, friendly, easy access to interstate, large room and huge hot breakfast
It was near everything, the staff was pleasant, it was clean.I feel it was a Great Deal for the money. I was on the first floor & they were doing renovations to that floor at the time of my stay. The breakfast didn't change much from day to day.
Just stayed the night we landed in Little Rock and the night before we departed. Perfect location, literally across the expressway from the airport. Nice comfy beds and handy having the restaurant attached to the lobby for our late night dinner. Our first night we ended up in a room next to the elevator and ice machine. Never a good spot. Travelers at this hotel begin taking the elevator at 4:30 AM, so good luck sleeping in if you end up in a room ending in the number 17.
The beds were clean and the hotel was accessible and pet friendly. Great location by the airport!
Bed was comfortable, bathroom was very large with a nice sized vanity for getting ready, small kitchenette was convenient, air confidtjoning and heat worked well and I didn't wake up with horrible sinus congestion like with older hotels. They do not have room service.
Bed was comfortable Shower was horrible... Water jets all clogged. Advised front desk... She did nothing. No apology, no adjustment offered. I didn't ask or demand either. Parking additional charge and wasn't connected to the hotel. Had to drive around the other side of the block. Not convenient.
It gave a great view of the city and was located right by the river market area giving easy access to restaurants and bars. The room was amazing, a lot better than its competition in the area, it was spacious with a comfortable bed. The building is currently under some construction but it causes no issues for customers. The only thing I would change about the rooms is the lighting inside the room was just ok. Unless you get the valet parking which costs $22 a night, then expect to have to walk quite a few blocks for parking during high traffic hours.
Can't grasp the needs or duvets in warm weather. Just a light blanket is preferable
Nice hotel, convenient hard to actually put a finger on it, just didn't feel welcome
Staff friendly No small basenette for an infant
Prepared to drop my mother off at the airport
Location was great. Can't get closer to the airport. Room smelled so strong with air freshener that it was almost too much to stay. There was also trash still left in the room. Otherwise it looked clean.
location dirty. Bad Wifi. Too expensive for it service.
Staff was very friendly. Rooms and lobby were clean. Some of the facilities and room accomodations need to be upgraded.
It is right at the Little Rock airport. It was hot as all get out when we walked in and took a long time just to get comfortable. The toilet seat was broken. It was very small and everything felt worn and dated. At one hundred a night, you get proximity to the airport and precious little else.
Very nice room. Very clean. Charged $10 for breakfast. Thought Holiday Inns provided breakfast.
I liked the modern feel of everything the facility had to offer. The staff was really nice and accommodating and the hotel itself was located perfectly. There was a fantastic fire pit that allowed the smokers of my party to gather around. I was really hoping for a nice night sleep but the bed was terribly hard. It seemed as if the only stations playing around the hotel were football. We were told that was something that couldn't be changed.
