the location of my apartment was perfect. My children loved the placeI We loved the king bed very comfortable. Decoration is excellent good taste! I stayed for only two nights I have no complaints
Loved the layout of the villa. Very nicely decorated and we were close to one of the smaller pools. The week we stayed there were no crowds to speak of so no issues there. We spent most of our time at Disney but it was great to be able to cook an spread out while in the room. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and perfect for a family. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are huge! When I stay there again, I would definitely try to use more of the features available. There is an upcharge to use the area with slides and some of the features. The staff checking us in (we encountered anyway) although very professional, was not especially friendly. One of the women at the reception desk would not smile no matter how hard we tried! Maybe she was just having bad day. We had a split stay so we actually stayed in two different rooms. The second one had a musty smell in the bathroom. All of this is rather picky because the place is actually really beautiful and comfortable. But it kept me from giving the 5 stars.
Convience The hotel check in lady lied to me when I asked her if I could have the newly renovated villa with a jacuzzi. She sent us to a villa that was older with no jacuzzi.
Love holiday Inn very inclusive, great atmosphere for kids and adults it's a resort you can grow into we just got married and had a wonderful honeymoon we didnt ever want to leave and are coming back for my birthday! How shallow the lazy river is
This is the second time we've been to the resort and we love it! Great location and nice grounds. This will be resort of choice for our Disney vacations. Great value! Food at the Breeze's was not good.
Nice large pools near reception area Lazy river very overcrowded and inconvenient bracelet requirement. Nickel and dime policy
Pool was nice. Room was fine. Probably would have been OK to visit as a family but as a couple with some friends it was not ideal. Front desk extremely nice and helpful. Had to pay to use a float at the pool even if you found one just floating around. Couldn't have your drink in a plastic cup at the edge of the pool. Horrible housekeeping staff knocked on our door before 9am and basically told us to leave. No extra towels as I had requested. Had to call 2 times to get them as well as the sheets for couch bed. Breezes restaurant on site had horribly slow service. Misinformed server. Very difficult to find our room.
Lazy river pool for children Lots of good recreational opportunities for young children Villas well equipped and peasant for family living Staff very responsive Facilities well maintained children's programmes often cancelled or not good paying $ 5 to see a Gatorland promotion high sales orientation after you left the front desk.
Loved the lazy river but had to rent the rubes to use in it. Many activities but had to pay for everything. Checked in and SOMEONE WAS IN OUR ROOM! Reported it and was told it was house keeping taking their break! Awful customer service, handled it poorly. No follow up from hotel yet and we checked out yesterday.
We loved the room, swimming pool, staff we just enjoyed everything
We stayed there two different times in one week. We were heading to Key West so we stayed there on Saturday just to take a break from driving. The place was very nice fast check in. We stayed in the building were you checked in. Studio Suite I forget the room number, but when we all got up in the morning we notice roaches in and around water areas like the sink and showers. My father, and I told the staff right away. We had to leave that morning for the Keys so to make sure we did not have any bugs in are stuff we had to go get everything washed. I would have like the staff to do something for else, but all they did was to ensure us that someone was going to look at the room. The Two Bedroom Villa was much better. We would stay in that room Bugs in are room.
I really like the hotel with all the facilities they have we really enjoyed it I stayed there for a week but they didn't offer housekeeping when I asked for it they told me it's gonna cost you $60 this is really upset am not paying a cheab price fir the hotel to charge mr extra for housekeeping
very clean price, too expensive
The resort was beautiful and with the Observatory type enclosure over all the hotel, restaurants, shops and convention center any rain or bad weather was a non issue. The resort fee for free water, electronic paper and gymnasium use should have been optional not mandatory.
Awesome pool for kids, the steak house, the gators, transportation for Disney overall all the facilities
It's a gorgeous hotel! I had 3 young girls with me who thought it was "so cool". Each time I stay and try to use the internet, it never works.
Staff was very attentive. Property was beautiful. Rooms were perfect and the pool is amazing. Extremely overpriced. Resort fees are $20 per day and self parking is $18.00 per day. Resturants are also overpriced. Presentation is beautiful but quality is poor. The $168.00 meal for two at Old Hickory Steakhouse was by far the worst cut of meat we have ever eaten. The side of mushrooms were cold and a hard texture. The wine was the only plus.
The fact that you have to pay for parking even though you are staying there
Swimming pool area Alcoholic beverage preparation not so good at pool area!!!
We loved the environment and the friendliness/ helpfulness of the staff there.Thank you. We had a fabulous time. No
Nice hotel, nice pool Steakhouse inside was very over priced. Thought it would be more of a family like hotel, but is definitely intended for business.
I was with teen age male grandchildren ,our interests were the Game room, the weight room, the pool and room service, as well as walking the grounds.and a little shopping.....We went to Epcot one day and the bus service was great , including a fun female busdriver on our return back to the hotel There always seemed to be a tax or add on and then another for the city, hotel, conferance center etc.,Also I fell off the treadmill and sustained many bruises an abraision and a couple minor cuts, louckily I had no fractures ...I did not want to fill out papers as it was the 1st day of vacation andf I could walk ok....However looking back I think I should have been introduced to the tredmill, it was going so slow, I made a mistake and put in a pulse of 84 which is not high and I thought it would give me an idea of where I should go from there...anyway it kept moving faster and faster I could not keep up and I could not reach the stop bottom because I was too far back on the machine ...I ran and ran and finally fell off.......Apparently I w
The unique experience of the hotel. It is unlike any other hotel in Florida. The cheerleaders. I had no idea they would be staying at the hotel. It was like staying in a dormatory. Doors slamming all night long.
I used their spa facility to get a massage. The staff were very friendly, however my massage was mediocre.
Got bit by spiders during the night. Room smelled like mildew. Bathroom mirror needs replaced bathroom door knob did not function properly.
I love the pool and the pool hours I like the forest look that surrounds the outside pool area the bar by the pool was a plus! I just really like their pool area lol I saw a roach crawl out of the wall behind the toilet in the bathroom i didn't like the fact that I had to request for my room to be cleaned I thought if you are staying somewhere for a certain amount of days that room services automatically suppose to come clean the rooms without being asked to do so the Pizza Hut in the deli wasn't That good the meat toppings tasted old the food is overpriced and the drinks are watered down the girl at the front desk with the bang and dark hair she wasn't rude but she did not seem very inviting either
The water took forever to get hot in order to shower
There's a pool onsite and when we walked into our room, the towels looked extremely clean - bright white. Most of the staff were friendly, except the people in the sub shop there across from reception/registration Thought this hotel was closer to the airport than it actually was, but it was still 20 mins w/o traffic. Chose this one b/c we had an early morning flight and it was $85. You get what you pay for here, but assuming that the $35 hotel would have been the same. Just parking, you see people hanging out in the parking lot after 9pm which made me uncomfortable. Once you enter the building you see how old and run down this place is. Our room was okay, but then we saw the ants in the bathroom and them on the table in the room. I was ready to just get out of there. Thankfully we were there just to sleep and left VERY early. Spent less than 8 hours, which was more than needed. Stay away if you can. There are better hotels in the same price range and I'd pay more not to stay here
Bed was comfy, shower hot; very good after a busy day. "Resort fee" not included in room price: annoying.
Nice pools, convenient to everything, restaurant on site Breakfast not included
Nothing I have baby,There are ants in the toilet And If you delayed you will not find parking
Cleanliness of hotel was okay. Could use better upkeep
Our room was in great shape and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area is very attractive and it featured a water fall, water slide, and hot tubs. We had to park quite a distance from our room.
Refrig must have had a leak as the floor was wet infront of it. Bath room mirror was damaged. Rugs were worn. Property needs a serious update.
Beds were comfortable. Not as clean/kept up as I've liked.
If your there for the pool then your going to have a good time and the location is great if your going to the parks.staff was polite. And attentive. . When we got to the room we found mold Growing in the Bathroom walls. Mirror is stained with grey spots. When we wanted to leave for dinner the door would not lock. Had to wait for a tech. To repair the door. So we asked for another room . Once we got in the other room we found a big rust spot inside the tub. I don't think i will stay there again.
Best value for the money. There wasn't anything I disliked.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The activitives were very good. You did not have to leave the hotel for anything but to shop. I did not like the stray cats on the property.
We stayed in the new section of the resort and everything was great, I can see where the bad comments come from just by looking at the older section, they looked like they could use some work. Our kids enjoyed the water park, but fortunately it was not busy when we were there so it wasn't crowed, but if the resort was at full capacity it would not of had enough room for every one.
The whole condo was wonderful. I had myself, a friend and 2 teenage daughters. We had so much room and really felt at home. I did not like the fact that I am a disabled-handicap driver with a disabled license plate and there were only 2 spaces near the entrance and elevator of each building. I was in room 1320E and it was so hard to park. We were very disappointed in the complimentary breakfast. It was actually disgusting. Nothing worth eating, and when you travel with children it gets expensive to eat breakfast out. We did have cereal but expected something decent from the resort. I went to the presentation to possibly purchase a condo and had a little bit better breakfast. That is what should be offered to all guest.
well eqipped and comfortable it was little bit far from places of interest
pools The hotel staff wasn't very nice.
the pool and activities for children We had issues in our bathroom, the sink was clogged along with the toilet kept overflowing. When we asked for someone to come fix it, they brought a plunger to the room and I had to fix it myself.
We loved the onsite kids waterpark! The older units in the hotel.
the waterpark and the room it was very close too the disney parks and downtown disney there was no ice or convinient store within the resort
the swiming pool the quality of service ..worst breakfast buffet i have ever seen
Think I got bit by bed bugs.
There was one assistant manager who was very good. He at least made an effort. Many other staff were very nice. Kind of feel bad because not sure how long the hotel can stay in business with the bandaid repairs they're making. First room = no internet. Assigned to second room, still no internet. Said they were working on it. Four days of working on it with no results. Furniture, fixtures, and equipment falling apart and general wear and tear was unacceptable. Priced very low, but you don't even get what you paid for. At checkout informed manager again about internet and she did nothing to reduce the bill.
The price of $35 a night for labor weekend was a good value. Covered pool was great for Florida rain showers and heated to 100 degrees. Just make sure your kids keep the water out of their mouth as its recirculated water and not the cleanest. Check in was pleasant. Watch out for time share trap after you check in they will attack you! No maid service. Couldn't get room cleaned or new towels for nothing. Except check out day when they harassed you from 7am to 11am wanting to clean the room before check time. Rooms were dated Dressers disgusting, we kept our clothes in our luggage. The beds were very comfortable. People complained about bugs but jeez it's Florida we have bugs, even in the nicest cleanest homes. Beware of time share desk at front lobby. Called front desk several times about no maid service they said they would send someone but no one ever came (until check out day).
Kid friendly and close to everything.
Location was OK. From the beginning there was a bad smell on the hotel. The room was not very clean. Horrible bed with a lot of noises every time I moved. Filthy bathroom. Toilet not working. Has to call more the 2 times for maintence to come and check the toilet. Safe was locked before with got in. I had to stay 1 more night but they wanted to charge almost over twice as I paid with Kayak.
I love everything about this place. This was my second visit and plan on many more.It is an in amazing location, the staff are wonderful and very accommodating, they offer so much for families with little ones, and the music by the pool is great.you don't even have to leave the hotel to have good time.Awesome place. No complaints
The shuttle transportation to Disney. Free parking.
Ok for the short stay. Facilities as expected for the money. Staff was terrible. Not pleasant, yelling at one moment (luckily not on me). Not willing to help out. My check out took 2 hours, because of incompetent staff. Terrible experience, would not recommend it or go back.
It was inexpensive and relatively close to Disney. The walls were not insulated and we could hear children in next room. The cable TV signal was weak or the TV itself had a bad display and it made Monday Night Football almost unwatchable.
We couldn't have done better for $60/night. Only a few miles from Disney. Three pools with a hot tub, one covered for rainy days, playground, beautiful nature walk, nice and clean lobby with lounge and restaurant, good breakfast (worth the $10 w/ tax) clean room with no problems, friendly staff, night poolside family movie One and only complaint is the room came with a single serving of coffee, think Keurig for one. No charge for extra servings, but spent a lot of time chasing them down over 4 nights. One night the front desk was out and was supposed to have some sent to my room but it never arrived.
Nice and we'll centre clean Door key didn't work twice
Clean very friendly staff great location excellent price all around great experience Not that I didn't like it but the beds were a little hard for me
Rooms are spacious and clean, pools were ok,the staff was friendly, gym was nice, and hotel is in a good location MATTRESS WERE REALLY HARD, CHECK OUT IS TOO EARLY AND WI-FI IS TERRIBLE!
I definitely wouldn't have paid more for my stay. Don't stay in room 1224 lol apparently it's located near a service room or something because there was knocking noises all night long that woke me up and wouldn't let me sleep well. Other than that it was okay. Beds were comfy.
They need a adult area with a hot tub.
They show you photos of the resort but these promotional prices you seee are for their hotel only. The false advertisement and the fact that the front desk knows of this & hadn't address it as of yet
I was only there to take a class. The grounds were well kept, the rooms were clean and there are lots of amenities for families. (Playgrounds, water park, mini golf, lake with jet skis, boats, paddle boats, etc.) Outside, it's probably not the best neighborhood. Two closest shopping plaza's had tattoo parlor 2 massage parlors, repurchase cell phone store and pawn shop. In the room I was in, I tried three power outlets before I found one that was tight enough to hold my iPhone charger. It's a minor thing, but still...
My girlfriend & I enjoyed ourselves it was close to a lot of the parks & the price to stay was great also. The room was very clean, bigger then we expected we loved it. The only thing we didn't like was the remotes & the tv was acting funny other then that no problems at all.
The best part was the 24 hour hot tub. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the property was wonderful.
Dirty and smelly. Did not look like the pictures. Cheap hotel and the staff will not help you. Everything was extra and the building's outside locks are broke. Our bathroom lock didn't work either. I would not recommend to anyone.
Price Location and rooms were clean but outdated.
The resort did have a lot of activities that you could pay extra for. The resort fee only covered the use of the pool and exercise rooms any thing else was extra. The bus schedule to Universal only had one round trip instead of two, like the website said. The hotel/resort attempted a bait and switch with our room then wanted to charge us extra for the actual room we booked, and it took two days of our vacation to fix it. The timeshare presentation did not deliver on its gifts (discount Disney tickets) for sitting through one. The restaurants were very poor quality and had little options.
The location was convenient to Disney attractions and grocery/restaurants. The hotel was part of a "resort" that focused mainly on their timeshares/condos - which appeared to be in much better repair than the hotel. The grounds were nice, but it was obvious that the amenities were there for the timeshare guests and the hotel guests were merely afterthoughts; however, it was nice to be able to take advantage of the lake and the the rest of the grounds. The hotel was clearly not a priority for the resort, which explains its bargain pricing. The room was sparse at best. As mentioned in other reviews, the walls are very thin. Unfortunately, we had very rambunctious neighbors and there was very little buffering of sound - with the exception of the air conditioner, which was EXTREMELY loud. So loud, in fact, that every time it kicked on throughout the night, it awakened us. There were small frustrations throughout the room. We spent much time trying to figure out the light switch configuration and ultimately determined that it was impossible to keep the bedside lights on without the two very bright hallway lights being on as well. The electrical outlets were apparently very worn as our phone chargers had a tendency to just fall out of them. The ice makers were routinely empty and we had to go searching various floors to find ice. Upon our arrival, the toilet handle was broken and dangling from the tank. Although maintenance arrived to fix it fairly promptly, the toilet continued to run throughout our stay. The television stations on the disproportionately small TV had a pronounced delay when switching between them, making for awkward viewing. To summarize, the low price was very good for the location and if you aren't planning to spend much time at the hotel, it is worth the stay. If relaxing in your room is a priority for you, I would suggest spending a little extra and finding a hotel that offers more creature comforts.
Friends stayed in condo unit which was ok. Just okay not great. We were in the hotel area. Reservations were for a room with fridge and Kitchener. No. Old run down room. Building is dirty smelly and gross. Luckily, we didn't spend much time here. We're too busy at the parks and elsewhere. Good luck!
Clubhouse was nice, but small. Rooms are large and clean. Property is well kept. A bit confusing since multiple resorts are at one location? Wait time to check in was a bit long. The steakhouse restaurant was entirely booked for a private gathering so we went to the Italian restaurant instead. Food was way overpriced for what was offered. Steak was chewy and underdone when first brought out. Thirty eight dollars for a steak that you could get at The Golden Corral was a bit excessive (IMO). The room was OK, very clean and roomy, but one of the toilets was not working, an electrical outlet cover was cracked in the main living room, and the televisions were tube televisions that I have not seen for maybe 7 or 8 years (really? in 2017??) with very poor reception in all but one. I have stayed at Salamander in VA and this place is not even close to that level of luxury. If Salamander is 5 stasr this resort is a mid 3 (at best).
Everything was absolutely fantastic, huge rooms, best waterpark for the kids on site, staff brilliant
It was unbelievably expensive! Not what I would call value for money. I come from a country that is expensive to live in but Reunion resorts prices shocked me, while the food provided was lovely it was far too expensive. There was dog faeces outside out door on the steps for 6 days without being removed. One of the bar staff in the pavillion were quite rude to my children aswell. I stayed here last year aswell and have recommended it to manyhowever I shall not be doing the same this year. The kids crew provided last year were fantastic however this year was boring for the chilren with nothing to amuse them except colouring in bags.Very disappointing!
Services, worm welcome, family place, entrtainement No
I liked the feeling of open space and not too crowded. It was quiet and felt safe. I felt that there could have been more pools nearer to our accommodation but I understand that this was a project in the future. I thought that the food and drinks were too expensive and would have benefited from an on-site coffee shop
The view from the rooms is beautiful. The suites are spacious and fully equipt with all we needed. Excellent service and accomodation. My family and I had a very pleasent stay .Thank you
Great location for golfers, great courses.
Fantastic Fcilities, spacious appartment, only 15 minutes to Disney. Waterpark and Golf to relax from the parks
The spa was amazing. Seriously, one of the best massages I've ever had. It was pricy, but worth it. It is also really nice to find a place that has a 3 bedroom option, and I like that the pools were close to the rooms. The location was nice. The steakhouse on the top floor was pretty and the food was very good. The rooms themselves were dated and there was a hum coming out of the air register. Honestly, the rooms were fine, but I would in no way consider them 5 star accommodations and I don't think you should go there expecting anything more than clean and comfortable. Room service was very expensive and the hidden fees were not well explained. They agreed to 'try to accommodate' an early check-in, but the room was not ready until 3 and I don't think anyone else's room was ready early, either. They should just say 'no early check-ins' if they cannot really make it happen. We called several times over our 3 day stay to request a shuttle and sometimes no one answered and we'd have to call back repeatedly.
Beautiful appartment, it was like home, very nice
I Litlle bit expensive but great acomodations.Very quiet and confortable!!!
Full kitchen. Not enough towels provided for 6 people in 3-bdrm villa. No daily housekeeping.
Very comfortable, well equipped, great landscape polite and nice staff execelent location. No internet in the rooms just in the loby. need more housekeeping during the week.
Close to our destinations. The lack of fresh towels and cleaning of rooms.
we were unhappy with cleanliness of bathroom. Cockroaches were found together with droppings under sink unit. This was reported twice but area was left uncleaned. After reporting cockroach in bathroom before going out for the day we returned to find it was still on bathroom wall.We were not happy about paying full rate and were told that the management would contact us.We are still waiting.
Spacious privacy No free breakfast
We paid only $80 + a night. That's a great deal. I would not stay here if it were more. The staff was super friendly. The pool wasn't crowded and it wasn't loud. I liked being able to sleep upstairs in quiet while those awake downstairs didn't disturb. Wish I had baby gates for the stairs. (It would be a good option for them to supply) Everything we touched made noises. Floors, stairs, furniture... the water in showers also went to scalding hot out of nowhere a few times and the tub upstairs took 30 mins to drain.
I enjoy having my space and privacy, especially when traveling. Having multiple floors and multiple bedrooms, ensures I can have my own space if needed. This is my second time staying in a two bedroom suite and I found there is a second shower downstairs! The kitchen is invaluable if you like to prepare your own meals. Everything is clean and well tended to. I enjoyed my second stay immensely and I will definitely be back with more friends. Everyone should know about this hidden gem and its value. The entrance can be a little tricky, especially if you are coming from I4. Also, it would be very cool if a little walking bridge with a gate could be set up over to target. It would definitely be a great convenience.
Proximity to the parks was convenient, only about a 10-12 min drive depending on traffic. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly! Playground area needs a little more lighting in case kids wanted to play after the sun goes down. Entrance from highway can be a little tricky if you're first time "arrivee"; only can enter from west bound side of highway due to no turn lane on opposite side of the highway.
Super clean, attentive staff, nice kitchens and bathrooms, huge two story townhomes. Close to shopping and lots of places to eat. Kitchens have most everything you need to eat in all the time if you want. Orlando traffic!
When we checked in Tammy at the front desk gave us an early check in and was super nice and knowledgable. Our villa was super clean and had a great feel of home vs just a hotel! Highly recommend! There wasn't sheets on or for the pull out. Had to contact and walk to the front desk to retrieve blankets.
The room was very comfortable and the amenities were excellent. We enjoyed the pool (alot) and the beds were comfortable. The spa tub was great and we really enjoyed our stay and will come again in the future. We were over charged for the room, I haven't checked yet to see that the difference in price has been refunded.
Liked the Room and the environment. Liked the daily entertainment. Loved the photographer on site. Loved the Spa treatment on site. If you wanted more towels you had to pay for it. Charging for local calls. Not having an onsite resterant. Did not like that with the couples spa treatment that they seperate the jacuzzi enjoyment for males and females but don't have a co-ed jacuzzi that couples can enjoy together.
There were two beautiful pools. My kids loved them. Paying extra to use certain things at the resort, tennis courts and jet skis
We enjoyed the beautiful grounds. Our room was exceptionally designed. Columns around the jacuzzi beautiful bedding, comfortable living room. Large rooms. Excellent place. was pleased with everything.
The space, comfort, great facilities, the cleanliness of the rooms, excelent location near of everything. I prefer and recomend 100% to the stay at Star Island over Gaylord Hotel. I would change the pillows; all other places usually have feather down pillows. The other thing that I would change is the way the staff approaches the customer regarding the Time Share conference or presentation; in my personal experience, I was not inform that it was for a Time Share nor the time that it would take to complete the same, I have a spine ilness condition and I was schedule for Friday July 10th, I was already beginning to feel sick during the night and on that morning I had high fever, chills and pain on my back and neck. The lady that called me from the front lobby was very nice and had great customer skills but fail to inform how long it really takes to finish this conference, by the time that we started the first part the video; the counselor notice that I was not feeling good, she told us that it was going to take even more extra time, approximately 1 1/2 hour or more to go over every details. I explain to her my spine condition and that I was sorry but I couldn't stay for so long, when my pain starts I cannot sit, stand or walk for long periods, I need to lay down and rest. It looks like she didn't beleive or understand my spine ilness, because she keept on saying that she just came from one week of absent because she caught something from another customer and she didn't want to get sick again and loose another week of work; I explain that it was not a contagious disease or virus, but she just took our paper to the front desk and told the lady at the front desk that she was not able to proceed because I was sick, there was NO... "Thank you, for coming in" or "Hope you feel better, good bye" even worst NO ride back to the lobby were I was pick-up or at least to the building were I was staying at, she didn't have any considerations, she should know that with spine problems it affects more walking.
the friendly staff and the relaxed atmosephere, closeness to other emtertainment
Great place to stay with a family. We had a 3 room suite - was perfect with 2 kids and newborn. Pools and activities were great for kids. Would definately stay here again! I didn't like the fact that you had to pay to have maid service. Would have been nice if housekeeping came by once during our stay to change our towels.
The resort was very clean. the rooms were excellant for adults and kids. the pool area is very nice. a great stay for the price, will stay there again. No.
I loved everything about the hotel and the stay. There is nothing that I did not like about my stay at star island resort.
every thing almost were good and the stuff were profisionals .check inn and chick out so easy and fast . mosquitos and bugs
We thought our stay for one night was excellent - clean room with privacy The $100.00 hold on the credit card
Close to downtown Disney. Within 10 miles of most parks. Free on site parking Ads say they had microwaves in rooms on kayak. Even had picture of the thing on the website. No microwave. Brought food I just had to throw away. $50 per day deposit hold on your card that was not disclosed. Had $250 on my account frozen that I hadn't planned for which can ruin a vaca. Facilities not up to usual Hilton standards but I understand it was under renovation. Overall not pleased, felt misled, and loosing faith in the Hilton brand
The place was clean and updated. Great location to Disney Springs. I booked a king bed. They told me I was out of luck because they were sold out and they finally gave me the king but with attitude.
Conveniently located across the street from Disney Springs. Hotel renovation was very disruptive.
The location is amazing. Rooms are nice a big. Staff is very nice and helpful. The shower head was terrible.
Close to parks (use Uber; it saves tons of time) and really nicely appointed room. Kind staff. Undergoing construction on new pool so we didn't get to use that. Breakfast buffet is pretty pricey so we declined.
Everything! Hotel under construction but it is not inconvenience.
Location was great and the hotel was awesome! The pool is excellent and great accommodations!
It was run down, dirty, lots of construction; many guests calling into front desk during check in with complaints, as evidenced by the girl repeatedly telling each person that there were no other rooms. Very difficult to find parking, the front of resort due to so much construction.
I liked that we were walking steps from Disney Springs, what use to be Downtown Disney. They also provide transportation to all the other Disney parks as well. The room was spacious. The smell in the hallways were horrible though. It was a wet moldy smell. They were doing some renovations and building though. The smell leaked into the room as well making it smell like dirty laundry.
Across the street from Disney Springs. Easy to shop & eat. Very comfortable rooms. Staff was very helpful. Nothing.
Took longer than expected to get into the room.
We went for our anniversary. They went above and beyond to make it the best day for us ever. Nothing. They were almost perfect making it special.
The snacks provided by the hotel during the business conference I attended were good quality however the food at the restaurants was overpriced and underwhelming. There was a huge dead cockroach in one of the bathrooms. In another bathroom I noticed a bunch of ants crawling on the walls. It seemed no one was keeping after the bathrooms since they ran out of toilet paper and soap, and also some of the same motion detectors on the sink were not working for days at a time. To top it off many of the staff at the restaurants seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and did not seem happy to be there.
The bed was very comfortable and it was nice being able to take the boat to and from Epcot. No mention of a $20 parking fee until you get to resort. One person told us it could be fixed when we left, but it was never resolved. Paid extra money for a resort view thinking that meant we would be overlooking Epcot or Hollywood Studios, however according to them, a resort view is a view of the Swan. Overall very upset. Would not have spent so much money if I would have known these things in advance. Not worth the $400+ I spent.
Location is great if you want to be in walking distance of epcot. Rooms were dirty and it seemed like the bedding and pillows were real dirty
The lobby staff was extremely friendly to our two year old and he loved it. The hotel is within walking distance to Epcot, and the rooms are perfectly clean and acceptable but not as updated as you would imagine at over two hundred a night. The valet wasn't very nice at all when we first arrived, and the parking system at the hotel made it just about impossible for us to enjoy the pool after checking out since we only stayed for one night.
Nice hotel but visit left a bad taste on last day with excessive parking fee On our last day...I told the front desk my parents were coming to meet us for breakfast. I was told they could have 30 minutes free parking. I replied the breakfast would take longer than 30 minutes and we might take a walk afterwards to the boardwalk. I was told I could use my room key and have an $18 charge added to my bill. I reluctantly agreed. My parents came and we had breakfast and spent about another hour walking around. $18 for under two hours seems excessive to me. It was a small thing considering everything else at the hotel went so well..but soured the end of our vacation.
The entire staff with the exception of the cabana people were extremely friendly! We felt so welcomed everywhere we went! The Dolphin cabana people were a bit rude!
I like that the Swann / Dolphin are right by the Boardwalk. I wish the pool had a better slide for the kids.
We went for a dance competition but had so much fun in our down time!! We walked boardwalk, swam and enjoyed the fireworks that surrounded us. The palm trees and fountain seemed to be synced to the fireworks and it was amazing! Honestly the only thing that I didn't like was having our stay end
Renovated rooms in the hotel are very nice,-although a bit small. Location is perfect for Epcot/food and wine guests. Staff attentive and accommodating. Kids pool slide closes at 6. Non-renovated rooms in East wing have a musty smell.
The hotel looked great for USA. Most USA hotels fall short in comparison to international 4 star hotels. The rooms looked brand new and views were great. Enjoyed food and wine festival. Staff at hotel were extremely friendly. No breakfast included for the price. I'm more disappointed by Kayak and booking.com for the price I paid for the rooms. Thought I was getting the best price but I happenened to ask if I wanted to spend another night on my last night there. I was quoted a price that was $100 less than what I was paying already. The manager started the sentence that his price might be more than booking.com. Boy was I shocked that his price was about $100 less per room.
They upgraded us to a suite since our room was not ready
They charge extra for a "clean" bed and they make you wait if you want a clean, newer room. They try to upcharge you if you want a good view.Service is non-existent. My 91 year mother fell and no one cared or assisted. The worst experience ever
Nickle & dime too much. Extra for resort fee extra for lousy parking etc
It was clean and the bedding was very comfortable Size of room would be a little small for an extended stay.
Location This is not a Disney hotel yet they wanted to charge us to eat with Disney characters. This was $10 more for breakfast. Staff was rude when we asked about it.. we requested the manager get in touch with us but never did.
Proximity to WDW
I liked everything about the hotel, clean, friendly. I didn't like that the buffet breakfast was around $13.00 to $15.00 every morning, and then when it was the character breakfast it went up. It doesn't really give you a choice to not pay the $26.00+. Especially when you are a guest at the hotel and are expecting to eat at the same restaurant every morning. And the pancakeson the buffet were very rubbery and hard.
Interior was new and updated. Couldn't beat the price for the location and amenities. Perfect for a short stay while visiting the Disney parks!
I loved the location. Great being right across from Disney Springs.
We got a room on the 18th floor. The view was amazing we where able to watch the fireworks from Epcot, Hollywood studios and some of the magic kingdom (other hotel was blocking some of the view). Also just people watching everyone walking around Disney Springs helped pass the time. Wasn't pleased with being roped into talking with a hotel employee about going to their other hotels for a presentation(guessing it was a timeshare). We did not do it but felt extremely pressured like if we didn't do it we were not welcome in the hotel. Had to spend the rest of our time there avoiding that employee.
Service Everything was a add on cost..
The room was well designed and clean. I attempted to call guest services multiple times. Mostly from my cell phone, once from the room phone. No one ever answered. Also, the internet connection was to weak to connect. I wasn't able to connect at anytime.
The rooms were amazing, the staff was friendly, and the amenities were amazing!
After spending two nights at one of the cheaper Disney properties we booked a room here at a lower price for our last night in Disney World. We stayed in the tower and our room was significantly better in terms of comfort and size than the room we had just left at the Disney hotel. Considering that both properties were at a out the same distance from the parks and that both provided transportation to and from them, the Wyndham was hands down a much better choice. We'll definitely stay here on our next trip.
