It was clean and well kept. The photos were very misleading. There was nothing really "resort" about this place. It's basically a remodeled motel.
Everything inside the room is nice and clean I'f you want to sleep until late they still call the door even if the do not disturb is at the door. An old man try to open my door because they are fixing somethings at the hotel. Very scary!!!!
The room was clean lobby closed at midnight and reopen at 8am. Shower was bad
Close to universal studios Beds were hard. No one cleaned our room or replenished bath towels. College kids on many levels running back and forth screaming yelling partying till 4am. No staff on site to make them stop.
The price. Pictures are pretty misleading! It's also pretty ridiculous that I had to leave my room, go to the front office and get an iron!
The rooms where clean and offered a fridge and kitchen as well as kitchen supplies. The pool looked like fun (we didn't get to use it ran out of time). They also offered a place to lay out and catch some sun. Also saw a family barbecuing. The neighborhood was not that great. The room was not cleaned after day one. We had to carry out luggage up three flights of stairs. I could not find the elevator.
Great value hotel located 20-30 minutes from disney, seaworld and about a hour from space center. Hotel is clean with nice pool and friendly staff. Was surprised to find free laundry on premises. Convenient store is next door so could stock up on goodies. Full size fridge and small microwave in room. Lots of restaurants short drive away. Downsides are minor but here they are. Beds aren't connected to wall and with tile floor they move very easily. The blinds don't block out light very well at night. (They have very bright lights outside every room). Dishes are provided but maid never washed dirty dishes so we bought dish soap and did them ourselves so we could reuse Em.
Room not small Have bedbug, got over 30 bite marks, dirty room, rude staff, did not want to give full refund because "did not tell them immediately" as if I should feel the bugs in the middle of my sleep
Everyone was very friendly and our room was cozy. This was my second year coming back to this hotel and I think my family and I will continue. Uncomforatable bed
We loved the environment and the friendliness/ helpfulness of the staff there.Thank you. We had a fabulous time. No
The resort was beautiful and with the Observatory type enclosure over all the hotel, restaurants, shops and convention center any rain or bad weather was a non issue. The resort fee for free water, electronic paper and gymnasium use should have been optional not mandatory.
The fact that you have to pay for parking even though you are staying there
very clean price, too expensive
It's a gorgeous hotel! I had 3 young girls with me who thought it was "so cool". Each time I stay and try to use the internet, it never works.
Awesome pool for kids, the steak house, the gators, transportation for Disney overall all the facilities
The unique experience of the hotel. It is unlike any other hotel in Florida. The cheerleaders. I had no idea they would be staying at the hotel. It was like staying in a dormatory. Doors slamming all night long.
Swimming pool area Alcoholic beverage preparation not so good at pool area!!!
I was with teen age male grandchildren ,our interests were the Game room, the weight room, the pool and room service, as well as walking the grounds.and a little shopping.....We went to Epcot one day and the bus service was great , including a fun female busdriver on our return back to the hotel There always seemed to be a tax or add on and then another for the city, hotel, conferance center etc.,Also I fell off the treadmill and sustained many bruises an abraision and a couple minor cuts, louckily I had no fractures ...I did not want to fill out papers as it was the 1st day of vacation andf I could walk ok....However looking back I think I should have been introduced to the tredmill, it was going so slow, I made a mistake and put in a pulse of 84 which is not high and I thought it would give me an idea of where I should go from there...anyway it kept moving faster and faster I could not keep up and I could not reach the stop bottom because I was too far back on the machine ...I ran and ran and finally fell off.......Apparently I w
Nice hotel, nice pool Steakhouse inside was very over priced. Thought it would be more of a family like hotel, but is definitely intended for business.
I used their spa facility to get a massage. The staff were very friendly, however my massage was mediocre.
Staff was very attentive. Property was beautiful. Rooms were perfect and the pool is amazing. Extremely overpriced. Resort fees are $20 per day and self parking is $18.00 per day. Resturants are also overpriced. Presentation is beautiful but quality is poor. The $168.00 meal for two at Old Hickory Steakhouse was by far the worst cut of meat we have ever eaten. The side of mushrooms were cold and a hard texture. The wine was the only plus.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and for a great price! Would have liked to see a few more "hot" offering for breakfast and the outlets in our room did not work properly for some of our devices.
The bathroom shower was clogged. When I arrived the TV was on. I turned it off and it would not turn up again. I told this to the manta the check out and he did not say anything.
Very silence, some have kitchen included and thats great ehen your pkanning to stay for a long time. It just have a pool to get fun.
Location was good. Pool was super clean and huge. Beds hard as hell. Carpets sticky and nasty Room smelled horrible
Rooms are clean, location is great 5 bar wifi signal in room. never able to connect for data. staff said was in a "dead zone" for a fee could upgrade my room for wifi. breakfast was bagels and juice/coffee only
Everything was clean the staff super friendly, they gave me complimentary late check out to their already later than average checkout. Mattress were uncomfortable and the continental breakfast only consisted of bagels and beverages but overall a good deal for the price.
When checking in I was charged an additional fee.
The value for the money was quite good. I appreciated the pool area, and it was nice to have breakfast included. The breakfast was nothing special, but at such a low rate you really can't complain. The views from the rooms that face the parking lot are rather depressing.
If you plan to visit Disney World and Universal for whole day and gonna stay here only for night then it is good. Close to eateries and WDW and Universal
Location Feels kind of insecure Breakfast is terrible
Friendliness of front desk staff and cleanliness of the room
Proximity to Disney. If this is the only way for you to go, I guess it's an option, we were just passing through - but I really think staying in this dump would ruin the rest of your Disney experience. Bugs. Smells terrible. Sketchy people. Not enough parking. I think I've seen this place on "COPS"
Close to downtown Disney It was like a leaking sound from the bathroom sink, it was very annoying when you went to bed
The proximity to Disney springs, transportation to Disney parks (every 30 min) which was awesome! Staff was very friendly. The pool was nice, they have a children's play room which was pretty cool. Decorations were nice as well seemed modern. Bath toiletries were all aveda which is better than most hotels where their products are sub par. Do not like that resort fees are not included in daily listed price on kayak, the hotel restaurant is expensive. We had some difficulty with the ac but nothing too bad
Hotel was clean Cleaning staff opened up door and tried to enter room before checkout time while we were still asleep. I do not want to wake up on vacation to see a stranger looking at me while I am in bed.
Loved the cleanliness of the resort. It is a very modern and clean resort that is very convenient to Disney. Every staff person that we encountered were very friendly. We normally stay at a resort across the street as we visit multiple times a year and have wanted to stay here for a while, finally gave it a try and glad we did. N/A
Lobby was pretty Rooms clean Addl $ for parking and resort little deceptive
Nice clean place with good service Bit family oriented since by Disney
Staff was very nice, dinner was good and pool/hot tub was fine. Didn't get a chance to use the spa but looked like it would be wonderful - just off pool and an Aveda one, if you want early time slots need to plan ahead.
The only thing I did not like was the outside floors leading to the hotel were always wet, I was worried for my grandmother and son walking on them, I didn't want them to slip and fall
The staff were truly pleasant at every encounter and the proximity to Disney Springs was awesome! The shower continually made the bathroom floor extremely wet. The shower looked nice, but slip and fall risk was very disappointing.
The hotel was modern and very nice. The staff was professional and really nice. They moved me to a floor and a little bigger room because it was available and I checked in later. The room was very clean and neat. Overall for the price and location it was a great stay. Can't honestly think of anything. I guess parking was a bit pricey but I think that is standard fare these days.
So close to Disney property, across the street from Disney Springs. Very very very clean hotel. In my opinion the most luxury hotel you will find in the Lake Buena Vista area. I have stayed here twice and will definitely stay again in the future as long as the price stays this reasonable.
Staff was helpful, good location The shower head in our room was not mad for people over 5'5. Needs to be higher
Everything! Hotel under construction but it is not inconvenience.
Across the street from Disney Springs. Easy to shop & eat. Very comfortable rooms. Staff was very helpful. Nothing.
Took longer than expected to get into the room.
We went for our anniversary. They went above and beyond to make it the best day for us ever. Nothing. They were almost perfect making it special.
Close to downtown Disney. Within 10 miles of most parks. Free on site parking Ads say they had microwaves in rooms on kayak. Even had picture of the thing on the website. No microwave. Brought food I just had to throw away. $50 per day deposit hold on your card that was not disclosed. Had $250 on my account frozen that I hadn't planned for which can ruin a vaca. Facilities not up to usual Hilton standards but I understand it was under renovation. Overall not pleased, felt misled, and loosing faith in the Hilton brand
I liked that we were walking steps from Disney Springs, what use to be Downtown Disney. They also provide transportation to all the other Disney parks as well. The room was spacious. The smell in the hallways were horrible though. It was a wet moldy smell. They were doing some renovations and building though. The smell leaked into the room as well making it smell like dirty laundry.
The place was clean and updated. Great location to Disney Springs. I booked a king bed. They told me I was out of luck because they were sold out and they finally gave me the king but with attitude.
Close to parks (use Uber; it saves tons of time) and really nicely appointed room. Kind staff. Undergoing construction on new pool so we didn't get to use that. Breakfast buffet is pretty pricey so we declined.
I stayed here one night and across the street at the Hilton Disney Springs. This location was of much higher quality and did not have a hidden "resort fee." I'd recommend it to anyone. The construction out front was annoying. Very hard to find the front desk or decent parking. But that's necessary as they are redoing the entrance it seems.
Location was great and the hotel was awesome! The pool is excellent and great accommodations!
The location is amazing. Rooms are nice a big. Staff is very nice and helpful. The shower head was terrible.
Nice employees and decor Noisy. We were on the 12th floor and at 230am we could hear loud people's discussion clearly.
The staff was very friendly. They have a 24 hour shout with a nice selection of food, bakery items, coffee, and snacks for the inbetween hours. They have a shuttle to the Disney resorts available to guest which makes it very convenient if you're not on a schedule. The room felt dirty, especially the bathroom. Outdated but trying to be new and improved.
Great location; really comfortable beds; clean; friendly service; top amenities Just outside of the Disney bubble. We were there for vacation but most seemed to be there for conferences. Rooms a bit dated.
Truly exceptional service whether in the restaurants, bars, convention space, 24 hour convenience store, guest services, or just walking around. The staff are super friendly and they proactively offer assistance. The Italian restaurant has super amazing meatballs - best in a very long time. My room was a good size and clean. Quality toiletries and other amenities. Tip: Ask for a room with a decent view because mine really sucked!
Construction has caused this resort to fail on multiple levels. Wait until it is all done before staying here.
Nice location, most convenient for Disney Springs area; perhaps the only true advantage over other hotels in the area. Average to below for facility, quite dated in the room. about 25% greater than other facilities in the area and parking/cost was an issue... the gate/payment machine was difficult and could not produce a receipt.
Good Disney area vacation location. Good amenities on site. Holiday surcharge and uppricing. Diamond/gold breakfast was very good except for powdered eggs.
The location is fantastic. It's within walking distance to Disney Springs, and has a trail directly to an overhead crosswalk that leads you straight to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique. The hotel has restaurants and a super convenient 24 hr market. The pool was nicely maintained, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Paying to park is a drag, especially considering it was $17 to self-park, and the lot is pretty far from the majority of the rooms.
Staff was friendly. Nice location. Hidden resort fee is a joke. It's in the fine print. They automatically charge you $24 a night for services you may or may not use. Including internet which is average speed at best. Also, they paint it as a high class hotel. The room and facilities are also average at best. Stay across the street at the Hilton Palace instead. Nicer and less expensive. Free parking.
Location is great. Just a few steps away from Disney Springs. The hotel says it is part of the Disney Resorts but it is not. None of the benefits of the Disney resorts are available at this hotel. No extended hours at the theme parks. Self parking charge: 20 per day! Food price. Cleanliness very poor.
Both parking fees and resort fees were high in combination for benefits. The fact that a family member visiting for more than 30 min had to pay $18.11 to park was steep.
Room was good, Bed was comfortable and relaxing for me, though my wife complained about it. Bathroom had two sinks, which was nice. Reception, Concierge, Restaurant, all were professionally managed and was impeccable. The TV was dated. Rather low def. Only showed cable and the remote was hard to operate. It was not interactive so I could not see the hotel charges on the screen.
We were very disappointed with the breakfast buffet. It was very expensive and the food was cold.
Proximity to WDW
It was clean and the bedding was very comfortable Size of room would be a little small for an extended stay.
I loved the location. Great being right across from Disney Springs.
Service Everything was a add on cost..
Nickle & dime too much. Extra for resort fee extra for lousy parking etc
After spending two nights at one of the cheaper Disney properties we booked a room here at a lower price for our last night in Disney World. We stayed in the tower and our room was significantly better in terms of comfort and size than the room we had just left at the Disney hotel. Considering that both properties were at a out the same distance from the parks and that both provided transportation to and from them, the Wyndham was hands down a much better choice. We'll definitely stay here on our next trip.
The room was well designed and clean. I attempted to call guest services multiple times. Mostly from my cell phone, once from the room phone. No one ever answered. Also, the internet connection was to weak to connect. I wasn't able to connect at anytime.
The rooms were amazing, the staff was friendly, and the amenities were amazing!
We got a room on the 18th floor. The view was amazing we where able to watch the fireworks from Epcot, Hollywood studios and some of the magic kingdom (other hotel was blocking some of the view). Also just people watching everyone walking around Disney Springs helped pass the time. Wasn't pleased with being roped into talking with a hotel employee about going to their other hotels for a presentation(guessing it was a timeshare). We did not do it but felt extremely pressured like if we didn't do it we were not welcome in the hotel. Had to spend the rest of our time there avoiding that employee.
Location This is not a Disney hotel yet they wanted to charge us to eat with Disney characters. This was $10 more for breakfast. Staff was rude when we asked about it.. we requested the manager get in touch with us but never did.
I liked everything about the hotel, clean, friendly. I didn't like that the buffet breakfast was around $13.00 to $15.00 every morning, and then when it was the character breakfast it went up. It doesn't really give you a choice to not pay the $26.00+. Especially when you are a guest at the hotel and are expecting to eat at the same restaurant every morning. And the pancakeson the buffet were very rubbery and hard.
Interior was new and updated. Couldn't beat the price for the location and amenities. Perfect for a short stay while visiting the Disney parks!
Bed was comfy, shower hot; very good after a busy day. "Resort fee" not included in room price: annoying.
Nice pools, convenient to everything, restaurant on site Breakfast not included
There's a pool onsite and when we walked into our room, the towels looked extremely clean - bright white. Most of the staff were friendly, except the people in the sub shop there across from reception/registration Thought this hotel was closer to the airport than it actually was, but it was still 20 mins w/o traffic. Chose this one b/c we had an early morning flight and it was $85. You get what you pay for here, but assuming that the $35 hotel would have been the same. Just parking, you see people hanging out in the parking lot after 9pm which made me uncomfortable. Once you enter the building you see how old and run down this place is. Our room was okay, but then we saw the ants in the bathroom and them on the table in the room. I was ready to just get out of there. Thankfully we were there just to sleep and left VERY early. Spent less than 8 hours, which was more than needed. Stay away if you can. There are better hotels in the same price range and I'd pay more not to stay here
Cleanliness of hotel was okay. Could use better upkeep
Beds were comfortable. Not as clean/kept up as I've liked.
If your there for the pool then your going to have a good time and the location is great if your going to the parks.staff was polite. And attentive. . When we got to the room we found mold Growing in the Bathroom walls. Mirror is stained with grey spots. When we wanted to leave for dinner the door would not lock. Had to wait for a tech. To repair the door. So we asked for another room . Once we got in the other room we found a big rust spot inside the tub. I don't think i will stay there again.
The water took forever to get hot in order to shower
Nothing I have baby,There are ants in the toilet And If you delayed you will not find parking
I love the pool and the pool hours I like the forest look that surrounds the outside pool area the bar by the pool was a plus! I just really like their pool area lol I saw a roach crawl out of the wall behind the toilet in the bathroom i didn't like the fact that I had to request for my room to be cleaned I thought if you are staying somewhere for a certain amount of days that room services automatically suppose to come clean the rooms without being asked to do so the Pizza Hut in the deli wasn't That good the meat toppings tasted old the food is overpriced and the drinks are watered down the girl at the front desk with the bang and dark hair she wasn't rude but she did not seem very inviting either
Our room was in great shape and the beds were very comfortable. The pool area is very attractive and it featured a water fall, water slide, and hot tubs. We had to park quite a distance from our room.
Got bit by spiders during the night. Room smelled like mildew. Bathroom mirror needs replaced bathroom door knob did not function properly.
Refrig must have had a leak as the floor was wet infront of it. Bath room mirror was damaged. Rugs were worn. Property needs a serious update.
we were unhappy with cleanliness of bathroom. Cockroaches were found together with droppings under sink unit. This was reported twice but area was left uncleaned. After reporting cockroach in bathroom before going out for the day we returned to find it was still on bathroom wall.We were not happy about paying full rate and were told that the management would contact us.We are still waiting.
Super clean, attentive staff, nice kitchens and bathrooms, huge two story townhomes. Close to shopping and lots of places to eat. Kitchens have most everything you need to eat in all the time if you want. Orlando traffic!
Clean and comfortable Lack of parking. Get back from parks too late, and you will most likely be parking at the next villas over from yours.
When we checked in Tammy at the front desk gave us an early check in and was super nice and knowledgable. Our villa was super clean and had a great feel of home vs just a hotel! Highly recommend! There wasn't sheets on or for the pull out. Had to contact and walk to the front desk to retrieve blankets.
Very comfortable, well equipped, great landscape polite and nice staff execelent location. No internet in the rooms just in the loby. need more housekeeping during the week.
Full kitchen. Not enough towels provided for 6 people in 3-bdrm villa. No daily housekeeping.
Close to our destinations. The lack of fresh towels and cleaning of rooms.
We paid only $80 + a night. That's a great deal. I would not stay here if it were more. The staff was super friendly. The pool wasn't crowded and it wasn't loud. I liked being able to sleep upstairs in quiet while those awake downstairs didn't disturb. Wish I had baby gates for the stairs. (It would be a good option for them to supply) Everything we touched made noises. Floors, stairs, furniture... the water in showers also went to scalding hot out of nowhere a few times and the tub upstairs took 30 mins to drain.
Spacious privacy No free breakfast
Proximity to the parks was convenient, only about a 10-12 min drive depending on traffic. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly! Playground area needs a little more lighting in case kids wanted to play after the sun goes down. Entrance from highway can be a little tricky if you're first time "arrivee"; only can enter from west bound side of highway due to no turn lane on opposite side of the highway.
I enjoy having my space and privacy, especially when traveling. Having multiple floors and multiple bedrooms, ensures I can have my own space if needed. This is my second time staying in a two bedroom suite and I found there is a second shower downstairs! The kitchen is invaluable if you like to prepare your own meals. Everything is clean and well tended to. I enjoyed my second stay immensely and I will definitely be back with more friends. Everyone should know about this hidden gem and its value. The entrance can be a little tricky, especially if you are coming from I4. Also, it would be very cool if a little walking bridge with a gate could be set up over to target. It would definitely be a great convenience.
Location is great if you want to be in walking distance of epcot. Rooms were dirty and it seemed like the bedding and pillows were real dirty
Nice hotel but visit left a bad taste on last day with excessive parking fee On our last day...I told the front desk my parents were coming to meet us for breakfast. I was told they could have 30 minutes free parking. I replied the breakfast would take longer than 30 minutes and we might take a walk afterwards to the boardwalk. I was told I could use my room key and have an $18 charge added to my bill. I reluctantly agreed. My parents came and we had breakfast and spent about another hour walking around. $18 for under two hours seems excessive to me. It was a small thing considering everything else at the hotel went so well..but soured the end of our vacation.
I like that the Swann / Dolphin are right by the Boardwalk. I wish the pool had a better slide for the kids.
The hotel looked great for USA. Most USA hotels fall short in comparison to international 4 star hotels. The rooms looked brand new and views were great. Enjoyed food and wine festival. Staff at hotel were extremely friendly. No breakfast included for the price. I'm more disappointed by Kayak and booking.com for the price I paid for the rooms. Thought I was getting the best price but I happenened to ask if I wanted to spend another night on my last night there. I was quoted a price that was $100 less than what I was paying already. The manager started the sentence that his price might be more than booking.com. Boy was I shocked that his price was about $100 less per room.
Renovated rooms in the hotel are very nice,-although a bit small. Location is perfect for Epcot/food and wine guests. Staff attentive and accommodating. Kids pool slide closes at 6. Non-renovated rooms in East wing have a musty smell.
We went for a dance competition but had so much fun in our down time!! We walked boardwalk, swam and enjoyed the fireworks that surrounded us. The palm trees and fountain seemed to be synced to the fireworks and it was amazing! Honestly the only thing that I didn't like was having our stay end
The snacks provided by the hotel during the business conference I attended were good quality however the food at the restaurants was overpriced and underwhelming. There was a huge dead cockroach in one of the bathrooms. In another bathroom I noticed a bunch of ants crawling on the walls. It seemed no one was keeping after the bathrooms since they ran out of toilet paper and soap, and also some of the same motion detectors on the sink were not working for days at a time. To top it off many of the staff at the restaurants seemed to have a chip on their shoulder and did not seem happy to be there.
They upgraded us to a suite since our room was not ready
The bed was very comfortable and it was nice being able to take the boat to and from Epcot. No mention of a $20 parking fee until you get to resort. One person told us it could be fixed when we left, but it was never resolved. Paid extra money for a resort view thinking that meant we would be overlooking Epcot or Hollywood Studios, however according to them, a resort view is a view of the Swan. Overall very upset. Would not have spent so much money if I would have known these things in advance. Not worth the $400+ I spent.
The lobby staff was extremely friendly to our two year old and he loved it. The hotel is within walking distance to Epcot, and the rooms are perfectly clean and acceptable but not as updated as you would imagine at over two hundred a night. The valet wasn't very nice at all when we first arrived, and the parking system at the hotel made it just about impossible for us to enjoy the pool after checking out since we only stayed for one night.
The entire staff with the exception of the cabana people were extremely friendly! We felt so welcomed everywhere we went! The Dolphin cabana people were a bit rude!
They charge extra for a "clean" bed and they make you wait if you want a clean, newer room. They try to upcharge you if you want a good view.Service is non-existent. My 91 year mother fell and no one cared or assisted. The worst experience ever
I liked the lobby and the customer service. The scheduled activities seemed very nice and family friendly. You have good effort in mind. It all seems a good work in progress. The maintanence staff was very friendly and welcoming. One final, thank you, for extending the use of the waterpark after checkout which I have not seen in other places. That was something very appreciated. The waterpark needs more attendants who can be welcoming, dedicated and show a sense of happiness to work there. The rooms definitely need uograde. My TV box had only one channel ,the beds were squeaky and the obscene vocabulary around young children at play can do without. But of course you have no power of others.
Staff was courteous Overpriced!!!! After all fees I paid about $120/night -_- most definitely not worth that much money!! This place is worth about $40/night. The slides need to be serviced/replaced. Only one pool which was small and therefore overcrowded and was not chlorinated correctly. My 9yr old was over the slides/pool after the first day and my 7yr old got sick somehow. I am Hispanic but this place is beyond ethnic in terms of guest population. Maybe its the area??? Kids were running wild.. unattended. We didn't get much sleep with people playing loud music all night and there were people smoking right outside our room door, speaking of rooms, I had a "waterpark view room" on the first floor, which was actually a view of a gate with weeds and bushes LOL. The bed was comfy but pillows are curiously small LOL it was strange. Anyhow, I would rather have stayed at another hotel and paid to go to wet and wild or any other real waterpark. Definitely on my NOT TO DO LIST. Would never waste my money like this again.
I liked the place it gave me pleasure and comfort I asked for toilet paper and got one role
Manager was intoxicated. Argumentative. A dick.
The only person friend its one gira in the receptionist area
Tub did not have jets like described in the room specifications
When we got there they required a $100.00 deposit I wasn't aware of, they were gonna charge $25.00 a day resort fee I had to prove the site said $8.00. The hot tub is located in the waterslide area which closes at 6 PM, so since we actually didn't get to use it. Why would 2 adults with no kids want to pay for water park admission just to use a hot tub that closes at 6 PM. The tiki bar was under construction and closed at 10. Very very limited and expensive menu, prices look fair until they add convience fees to each item you order and they don't offer room service so where is the convience? House keeping took our used towels everyday as expected, but when we got to the room each evening we had to call for towels because they didn't replace them.
It was kid friendly. Also the schedule of things to do every night. How it wasn't as clean as I like.
what i like the most is that the room was very clean & the staff was really nice. The water park was very fun for the kids. They also had a lot of activities for the kids through out the day as well as a movie night by the pool which was great.
The water park was nicely sized and secure. The staff was friendly. The fees for using the water park. Resort fee didn't cover the water park admission. The restaurant could have had a better menu other than burgers and fries basically.
Everything was great!!!!!
The closeness to Silver Spur arena. Place was like a Red Roof Inn convertered into a 1950s water park. "Water park" closed at 5pm which sucks if you are only there for one night. The tiki bar did not exist. The restaurant was a tiny "cafe". The room could've been cleaner. Jacuzzi was disgusting. Toilet ran all night. My daughter cut her toe on a nail coming out of the dirty carpet. Coffee maker didn't work. Pool water was green.
It was spring break vacations for many people plus st pat celebrations so most if not all of the well known american hotels were extremely overpriced and with no vacancy. After travelling three days to get to Orland my husband and I only needed a spot for two weeks that was near attractions. I read all about the bed bugs and the score people gave the hotel and i was terrified. When i got there i can definetely say people exagerated things. We had an one bedroom villa which it was as big as an apartment, full kitchen, big livingroom, dinner table, washer and dryer worked perfectly, everything was clean. It is not a sheraton or a mariott and yes the place doesnt have the ultimate technology but it is amazing for that price, safe location, no bed bugs, air conditiong worked to perfection and it would be a nice place if you come with family and are looking for something affordable to be able to spend money in attractions. Pool jacuzzi and fitness center worked perfectly. We got the unit with no room service and everytime we called for towels they went fast and without issues. There are some renovated units, and it looks like they are doing various improvements to some buildings. Very quiet no issues at all, satisfied. The tvs are out of date but works perfectly anyways who comes to watch tv. Bring your own pillows since these were really small, i ask for couple more and they brought them for me at no extra charge. If you cant climb staurs make sure you tell them you want a unit with no stairs.
Nothing The staff was nasty housekeeping never cleaned my room and we were there for two weeks without them bringing any wash clothes after i asked sevaral times. They furniture was broke and they knew it.
the place privacy and silence no ham or bananas in the brkfst. almost 8.00
The pool area is the nicest part. Our room had no AC. We informed the staff the night got there and there was nothing they could do. We slept in a 78 degree room and was told it would be looked at the next day. We didn't get back from the park till very late the next day and our room was 80 degrees. They finally said we could move rooms..... Which happened at 1am with 2 kids! The keys for the new room did not work and we had to get them changed twice before someone came and let us in them self. The same thing happened the next day after we were told that would also be fixed. This same night the carpet in front of the bathroom was flooded, but bathroom floor was dry. Meaning, something must have overflown while cleaning was there and they figured it would be dry by the time we got back. Overall.... Very poor experience. I'm still in the process of getting some kind of compensation for this experience.
The stairs, small kids
Size of rooms, had a kitchen Registered at front desk & wasn't informed about the following: washer/dryer not working, toilet was flushing on its own, safes aren't working, TV's weren't working properly. Then when transfered to another room, after staying there 3/4th day room, wasn't smelling, they had put air fresher's around apt. In bathroom there was toilet paper stuck in holes in the bathroom sink, that smelled.
Loved the pool area and the grounds are beautiful. I spent many hours poolside both during the day and in the evening. It was close to the event we were attending. It was great to have a kitchen to make breakfast or snacks. It was amazing to see peacocks on the grounds. Despite the problems, I would probably stay there again. The first room we were given was terrible. The sofa bed was broken, held together with twist ties. The mattress was blood stained and so thin. The washer had no knobs. And we were told this was a renovated room.! We arrived at 1:30am and so did not change rooms at that time. The room we moved to was much better. However, the sleeper sofa was not comfortable open, so I slept on the sofa closed. The washer worked well, but the dryer took forever to dry anything. We were promised a refund for the first night and I am still waiting.
We read the reviews and almost didn't stay here. Apparently, Oak Plantatiion was in need of a renovation. Well, that renovation is well under way and we were some of the first to benefit from it. Our condo was fresh and convenient and we were able to park right outside of our unit. The property is older, but that means it has a lot of charm that newer properties don't. The mature oaks are unlike anything you see at other resorts. They do maid service every day. Most people like this, but I would prefer once a week and a lower price. It's really not necessary in a condo in my opinion.
This is our fa )vorite resort in the Orlando (Kissemme area).
I liked that it was close to the loop and the outlets. & the room was very comfortable. We had the 1 bed and one bath and it was perfect. The amount of money I spent was well worth it. There was little ants in the kitchen. The oven dial was broken. The water didn't get very hot.
I can not just pin point one thing that I liked because everything was AMAZING FROM THE GREAT STAFF ROOM AND ENVIRONMENT. Nothing
I like the country side of it!!! Staff is friendly One of the pool was not open, due to motor broke down, more kitchen items Need to fix the gate
Overall a good value for the money. The room was clean and comfortable. Cafeteria food is surprisingly good. Grounds were well-kept. The rooms are very loud to the outside world, we could hear entire conversations at the pool from the second level. Housekeeping was very inconsistent as far as towels and washrags, both replacing them and where they put them. Which isn't a problem except when you are going to take a shower and all the washrags are at the sink not in the bathroom. Sometimes when I re-hung the towels and washrags they got replaced and sometimes they didn't (to save resources, in most hotels if you hang the linens, it means you will use them again). Sometimes when I left them on the floor or in the tub they got replaced and sometimes they didn't.
clean distance to wald around resort
Fabulous pools, immaculate grounds. Rooms are small, but who cares? We were in the pool the whole time.
Staff was very friendly. Cleanliness was good. Overall a value. The beds are uncomfortable.
You can't beat the location and it's one of the few hotels on Disney property that is affordable. Easy transportation to the parks. The staff was warm and friendly. The accommodations were sparsely decorated, hardly any theming in the rooms. The beds were small and uncomfortable. The front desk did not set up our magic bands correctly and I didn't realize it until I got to the park and tried to pay with it. One of the main reasons we stayed on property was to have the ease of paying with magic bands at the food and wine festival. When I called to correct they said for security reasons I would have to come back to the front desk. Not wanting to waste an hour of park time to take the bus back, I settled for buying and loading a Disney gift card. The breakfast at the hotel was not great. Very bland food, terrible coffee. Anywhere off Disney property a hotel this mediocre and basic would have been priced in the $60 range. Paying $100 more than that is hard to stomach, but a necessary evil if you want to be on Disney property.
Location was great. Pools were wonderful for young kids. Food court had lot of options. No towels for pools. Walls between rooms but thin.
Beautiful hotel! The character dining at Garden Grove restaurant was awesome, have your kids bring their autograph books with them. Staff was friendly and very accommodating to families/kids. We ate dinner at Il Mulino restaurant and despite being more upscale Italian, the waiter was very engaging with our kids and was happy to make them chocolate milk with dinner! The grotto pool was beautiful, large, and poolside food/beverage service was on the ball. Nothing really not to like, just some advice: Prices are expensive but hold value. This isn't a Super 8 but then again they treat you way better than a Super 8. Just remember EVERYTHING at Disney World is expensive. Also this: this hotel is on Disney property but is NOT a Disney hotel. You still get the same perks like early park entry and free shuttles to the parks, but what you don't get is free shuttle from/to the airport on the Disney Magical Express. A Disney rep will tell you to use Mears transportation saying it's cheaper than a taxi but don't. Our taxi, with tip, was cheaper than Mears' fare plus we didn't have to wait the half hour for the Mears shuttle. We were in a taxi in about 5 minutes at the airport.
Location to Epcot is a huge benefit. Great staff. Remodeled bathrooms are great. Older facility is noticed.
The boat ride from the hotel to Epcot, boardwalk, and Hollywood Studio's. Our reservations were for the Swan hotel but when we arrived we were told we were at the Dolphin hotel. We asked why we were there our reservations were for the Dolphin hotel. We were advised we must have read the confirmation wrong. The woman at the Dolphin hotel asked if we had the confirmation. I pulled it up on my phone and she confirmed it showed the Swan. She asked if she could make a phone call. She made the phone call in front of us and advised the person on the other end what I had and what their system showed. She was told we were supposed to be at the Swan and they corrected it in their system. The lady apologized and said that she could check us in but we would have to get our key's from the Swan because their systems were different. When we came back the bellhop that was going to assist us with our bags said very sarcastically, "ladies you are at the wrong hotel. I will tell you very slowly how to get there." We told him that we went to the Dolphin and they found that we were supposed to be at the Swan. He told us he would assist us with our bags once we got our keys. When we turned around he ducked into the back and a different bellhop advised us that he went on break so he would assist us. The room we were in smelt like mildew and we were advised that there were no other rooms available.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. We received a free upgrade to a suite, which was elegant and huge! We loved the swan! Nothing!
The room was fantastic. Updated and positively posh. The 12th floor view was incredible with fireworks shows from two Disney parks. The in-room Starbucks was a nice touch. I found a new favorite Disney hotel. Thanks!
Staff was very friendly and helpful Very pricey for simple things like morning coffees or breakfast for kids.
Location Required 2 night minimum
Closet is too small. With the ironing board in the closet you can't fit anything in there. I understood this room #444, was newly constructed....has anyone tried hanging a suit in this closet? very poor planning. Secondly air conditioning was malfunctioning when I was there. I doubt I'll stay at the Swan again. p.s. Note I didn't mention the bomb scare...that could happen anywhere. The closet is ridiculous.
Hotel was comfortable and clean Our room was next to the elevator so we didnt sleep well from the noise of the motor constantly.
Upon check in we got a free upgrade to a suite no extra charge.
My experience overall was great. It was clean it was spacious and luxurious.
The front desk staff. The breakfast. Everything! The frige in the room.
The check in staff was very welcoming and helpful. The price was a bit high!
Service was exceptional. I was especially pleased to see that the palms on the property were healthy and beautiful. So many hotels butcher them, but these palms had all their green leaves.
Staff was friendly, the rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was great! Loved that they had such a wide variety of breakfast selections and a very large seating area, so even at the busiest points the dining area was spacious enough for everyone to not feel that they were on top of one another. The ONLY bad thing about our stay was that the mattresses were uncomfortable - very hard. Everything else was great though and the location was perfect for anything Disney related. Mattresses were MUCH firmer than most hotels.
Everything was amazing. . The king suites are definitely the way to go.. the whirlpool tub was everything! Be sure to book the exact amount of days you want though. I tried to book an extra day but was told id have to move to another building because someone was checking in behind us. So we just checked out as scheduled. . But other than that.. wonderful. . $10 a day resort fee & not enough parking
Liked the Room and the environment. Liked the daily entertainment. Loved the photographer on site. Loved the Spa treatment on site. If you wanted more towels you had to pay for it. Charging for local calls. Not having an onsite resterant. Did not like that with the couples spa treatment that they seperate the jacuzzi enjoyment for males and females but don't have a co-ed jacuzzi that couples can enjoy together.
I loved everything about the hotel and the stay. There is nothing that I did not like about my stay at star island resort.
We enjoyed the beautiful grounds. Our room was exceptionally designed. Columns around the jacuzzi beautiful bedding, comfortable living room. Large rooms. Excellent place. was pleased with everything.
It was relatively close to the parks and didn't cost a ton. The first thing the staff did was try to get us to visit a time share meal. They acted very annoyed and dismissive when we declined. Our room was fine until we realized our toilet was leaking probably due to a faulty sealing at the base. The staff came the next day to fix it but left all the defiled and dirty towels used to clean and contain the issue in our room as a present for us. When the staff was notified of the remaining filthy towels they were unresponsive. Would not recommend the place.
Great place to stay with a family. We had a 3 room suite - was perfect with 2 kids and newborn. Pools and activities were great for kids. Would definately stay here again! I didn't like the fact that you had to pay to have maid service. Would have been nice if housekeeping came by once during our stay to change our towels.
The pool activities and the Karaoke were the most fun for our family to enjoy together. The facilities were clean, and the staff were courteous. This was my second stay and I rated it as okay. After a long drive into town my room wasn't ready. My family and I had to sit around for over an hour and wait for our room to be available. We went to a presentation for a timeshare and the saleswoman was pushy, rude, and argumentative. We were locked out of our room at one point in our stay. And last but not least, I called for towels at 7 am, and they didn't come until 10. Super slow service. My first experience was great, the second one, not so good.
There were two beautiful pools. My kids loved them. Paying extra to use certain things at the resort, tennis courts and jet skis
Location They have Karaoke four nights per week. My building was probably 1/4 mile from the event. I could hear every singer while laying in bed even though I had ear plugs in. It lasts until midnight. If this would bother you stay away. I saw one review that said the place was quiet. It is on nights without karaoke.
We thought our stay for one night was excellent - clean room with privacy The $100.00 hold on the credit card
the rooms where nice size. location is central to all events. the elevator broke at 430 am and buzzed for 2 hrs out side my bedroom very loud. took staff foever to stop the noise. rooms are not sound proof you here everything. people waiting for elevator talking to the door opening and closing. I had a very poor nights sleep. Then the resort asked if we would be willing to tour facility and buy in to time share, out guide was very nice but the manager of time share division was very rude to us and cocky. I was interested in buying in to this resort till my run in with the manager. He was so rude.
The resort was very clean. the rooms were excellant for adults and kids. the pool area is very nice. a great stay for the price, will stay there again. No.
On Disney property Room not clean. Insect issue. Had to move rooms.
Bus service I was very disappointed with the riverside. I expected Disney service and Disney clean. Not here
Check-in. Check-out, and reservation changes were a nightmare. I booked and pre-paid for 3 nights on Kayak assigned to Travelocity. I called twice in advance to explain that I would check out after 2 nights. When arriving to check in after midnight the line was out the door and only one person was working. After 45 minutes and them not able to program the "key" wristbands, I finally got checked in using 1 key card for 4 people. They told me my reservation was 3 days and to call when I check out early. Day 2 I again waited through a long line to get more keys at which time they again tried to program wristbands with no luck so instead gave me more key cards. When I checked out I called the front desk as instructed. The person told me I had to come to the front desk per protocol to check out early. The room was nice but nothing special and overpriced. I will not stay there again.
The room was very nice, very clean. The Disney feel is amazing. It is very nice getting to and from the airport. The hotel provides a bus called the Disney Express. The bed is lumpy and feels old. You could roll over and keep rolling over because you rolled down the dip in the mattress. The bus system with this hotel is very poor. Our first day, we went to Hollywood Studios, it took 30 mins to get picked up by the bus to go back to the hotel at the end of the day. We saw perhaps every other hotel have 2 or 3 buses go by. The day after, it took almost an hour from the time we left the room, to the time we got to epcot.
Without a doubt the best attribute of this hotel is quiet! We love how spread out and green the grounds are. Staff was great. Disney perks. Pricey.
Quiet & not crowded
Close to Disneyland The breakfast was only white bread, Fruit Loops cereal, and oatmeal. Didn't appreciate the surprise extra "resort fee" of $18 for 2 nights when you arrive. Very run down place (sink knob falls off), no alarm clock.
Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Booking.com very helpful with refund. Checked out a number of rooms, but couldn't stay in any of them...VERY MOLDY, MUSTY ODOR!!!! Our eyes stung just entering the rooms.
The pictures on-line falsely depict the facilities. It's a very dirty place. We checked, went to our room, and then immediately checked out and cancelled our reservations.
When I booked the resort there were not to be any additional fees. Upon arriving, the hotel said they don't even do business with Kayak and that I have to pay an additional $8.99/day. The place was very run down and the guests were allowed to just blare their music out by the pool which was filled with profanity and highly inappropriate for kids (which were present). The pool was extremely dirty and the breakfast is a joke. Toast and waffles and juice - all carbs. We also witnessed another guess getting arrested for keeping a pet in the vehicle where someone had to break the window. Two days later the resort still hadn't cleaned up the broken glass in the parking lot.
The price Rooms smelled like wet carpet really bad
Was next to OLD Town The fact that we just checked in room had a light bulb not workingcalled front desk they said would send some one right away that was at 3pm. Left return at 9:3pm no body came to fix it, called again then some one came. The room smelled when you first walked in like wet rug.
Staff /Wifi The first room was very outdated and smelled of mildew .Very nosiy you could hear the workings running their carts in the morning, people talking outside your room ..No outlet ,no fig, no microwave, sink was falling out of the wall. BEWARE OF BUG-THE ROOM WAS FULL OF THEM!!!! WE FELT LIKE WE HAD BUGS ALL OVER OUR BODY'S. We ask to be changed to a different room which really wasn't any Bette!!!. Definitely needs some upgrading.
What you would expect for the amount you will be spending carpet dirty
Facilities were kind of grody but our rooms were perfectly acceptable. The restaurant was convenient, even if it wasn't good. Was definitely only a 10 minute drive from Disney World. Spent an entire day with a door lock that didn't work and had to go to the front desk 4 different times to get somebody to let us in to the room. Restaurant was terrible. Facility was grody. Our bathroom light was busted and shodily put back into place, so that when I woke up to go to the bathroom one night it had fallen onto the bathroom floor. This would all be acceptable if the price was lower, but these rooms were actually not that cheap. Never booking here again.
The staff is extremely friendly There are obvious signs all over the place that this Resort is dated. Just small things all over the place including the fact that the cable TV was not quality. You could barely see the channels and it was hooked up with a standard cable like back in the nineties and eighties
The carpet and bed was terrible. The bathroom has never been repaired. Curtains were broken. It was smelly, etc. The carpet and bed was terrible. The bathroom has never been repaired. Curtains were broken. It was smelly, etc.
This is the second time we've been to the resort and we love it! Great location and nice grounds. This will be resort of choice for our Disney vacations. Great value! Food at the Breeze's was not good.
Loved the layout of the villa. Very nicely decorated and we were close to one of the smaller pools. The week we stayed there were no crowds to speak of so no issues there. We spent most of our time at Disney but it was great to be able to cook an spread out while in the room. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and perfect for a family. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are huge! When I stay there again, I would definitely try to use more of the features available. There is an upcharge to use the area with slides and some of the features. The staff checking us in (we encountered anyway) although very professional, was not especially friendly. One of the women at the reception desk would not smile no matter how hard we tried! Maybe she was just having bad day. We had a split stay so we actually stayed in two different rooms. The second one had a musty smell in the bathroom. All of this is rather picky because the place is actually really beautiful and comfortable. But it kept me from giving the 5 stars.
Pool was nice. Room was fine. Probably would have been OK to visit as a family but as a couple with some friends it was not ideal. Front desk extremely nice and helpful. Had to pay to use a float at the pool even if you found one just floating around. Couldn't have your drink in a plastic cup at the edge of the pool. Horrible housekeeping staff knocked on our door before 9am and basically told us to leave. No extra towels as I had requested. Had to call 2 times to get them as well as the sheets for couch bed. Breezes restaurant on site had horribly slow service. Misinformed server. Very difficult to find our room.
Loved the lazy river but had to rent the rubes to use in it. Many activities but had to pay for everything. Checked in and SOMEONE WAS IN OUR ROOM! Reported it and was told it was house keeping taking their break! Awful customer service, handled it poorly. No follow up from hotel yet and we checked out yesterday.
the location of my apartment was perfect. My children loved the placeI We loved the king bed very comfortable. Decoration is excellent good taste! I stayed for only two nights I have no complaints
Nice large pools near reception area Lazy river very overcrowded and inconvenient bracelet requirement. Nickel and dime policy
We stayed there two different times in one week. We were heading to Key West so we stayed there on Saturday just to take a break from driving. The place was very nice fast check in. We stayed in the building were you checked in. Studio Suite I forget the room number, but when we all got up in the morning we notice roaches in and around water areas like the sink and showers. My father, and I told the staff right away. We had to leave that morning for the Keys so to make sure we did not have any bugs in are stuff we had to go get everything washed. I would have like the staff to do something for else, but all they did was to ensure us that someone was going to look at the room. The Two Bedroom Villa was much better. We would stay in that room Bugs in are room.
Lazy river pool for children Lots of good recreational opportunities for young children Villas well equipped and peasant for family living Staff very responsive Facilities well maintained children's programmes often cancelled or not good paying $ 5 to see a Gatorland promotion high sales orientation after you left the front desk.
We loved the room, swimming pool, staff we just enjoyed everything
Love holiday Inn very inclusive, great atmosphere for kids and adults it's a resort you can grow into we just got married and had a wonderful honeymoon we didnt ever want to leave and are coming back for my birthday! How shallow the lazy river is
I loved every thing about this place! Best value for your money hands down!
I really like the hotel with all the facilities they have we really enjoyed it I stayed there for a week but they didn't offer housekeeping when I asked for it they told me it's gonna cost you $60 this is really upset am not paying a cheab price fir the hotel to charge mr extra for housekeeping
