The guest relations officer, Ozlem, was particularly attentive. When I became I'll she was exceptionally kind and went out if her way to help. The other staff were also kind. The shower was unable to deliver consistent waterctemperature. Either scolding hot or very cold with tmrw of being just ok.
Great service arrived early after long flight and put straight into room. Fantastic location close to everything. Nothing
location and ease of travel to tourist sites air conditioning unit very noisy and next to useless
wireless connection to internet no tourist map
Great value for money. Unbeatable location. superb view from rooftop restaurant nothing to dislike.
Personalul e amabil, hotelul e curat, locatia e buna Camerele sunt cam mici (am stat la o tripla), masa nu e prea variata pentru un hotel de 4 stele
great location, clean there was a wedding party on saturday night. They appologised for the inconvinience but I couldn't sleep that night.
breakfast, hotel location relatively poor privacy in telephone calls received by the hotel reception.
Wonderfull locationPlease write at least 15 words Taxi cab
Personal care of the staff, the location of the hotel and view from the rooftop are just great
the location the shower leaked all over the floor
The room was very clean and the hotel staffs are very kind.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, immaculate, and nicely decorated.
A great restaurant that prepares Ottoman palace cuisine. The location is amazing! Easy walking distance to all major Sultanahmet landmarks. The staff - they were always cheerful and helpful. My room was a bit small.
Friendly staff. Location was okay but the traffic to the hotel was not allowed. I have walked 5 minutes to the hotel. They sent a guy to help me. Room was too tiny. Small. Bad design. You have to take 10 steps down from the door to the bed. It looked like a grave.
Hotel location is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful, hotel rear terrace charming space. Hard beds, poor bathrooms, patchy house keeping.
Excellent location. Staff very helpful.
very friendly service in the bathroom, the water ran out of the shower, the toiletring wasn't well attached
Excellent location for visiting the main attractions, right next to Hagia Sophia. Friendly staff and decent breakfast Room was pretty small.
The location is excellent, most of the interesting places are within walking distance. The hotel staff were very helpful & polite. The rooms were cleaned regularly every AM, our room was always clean, neat & tidy everytime we returned to hotel after the trips. Nothing
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for sightseeing with everything beingn within walking distance of the hotel.
Great location. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast as well.
Location and hotel had a very welcoming feel.
Tula's a very kind and nice person. A good person for the hotel. The rest of the staff didn't smile at all. I'm used to smiling people in the hospitality sector. All of them go the extra miles for the guests, so they feel welcomed and not as a burden.
location is very good, right in the old city center Some rooms are small some are bigger, depends on luck what you get.
Staff of the hotel and central placement in the old center Can't think of anything
Excellent location, very helpful and friendly staff, fresh breakfast with limited verities, safe family atmosphere. Free internet high-speed service is excellent, but you can only enjoy in in your room, don’t expect the nice and conformable lobby. I booked a suite but unfortunately I couldn’t get it before 2 nights, the reason was a mistake in the booking system allowed bauble booking on the rooms. In return, the hotel management offered to us a complementary dinner for that mistake (it was mentioned in my booking confirmation that there will be a free dinned after Nov. 15th and I was staying up to the 17th , what they did is they gave it a bit earlier) and it was a good dinner.
It is near all historic monuments, tram,Bosfor
i could see the terrace of St. Shophia even from my balcony which means it's really close from this hotel. Breakfast was nice. staff were really kind. When we had a trouble with a taxi driver they came out and deal with it
On the whole the staff were excellent and the hotel is in a superb location. The staff in the breakfast lounge were a bit rude and although breakfast was served till 10am, when we got there at 9am food had run out and was not being replaced by the staff.
staff were helpful location is right on the main street. noisy at night
Clean,good locatıon,frıendly staff, free ınternet
Close to main attractions in İstanbul. Breakfast catered for Europeans. As well it is unacceptable wıth the rates that the hotel charges to be then asked to pay extra for orange juıce and omelettes.
Arriving at the airport the car from the hotel didn 't come to meet us, despite of that I had reserved this car already 2 weeks earlier. And when looking at booking.com I reserved the Deluxe room, bur arriving at the hotel we have the standart room, very noisy. And the repair work took place near the hotel.
1)Staff at the reception smily and with intention to be helpful. 2) basic comfort and cleanliness 3) location near old historical neighborhood 1) Description of hotel does not mention all the added extras, when describing having a gym center, a billiard room, a nightclub, which are all charged if used. 2) Be carefull as price in booking.com and on direct website of hotel indicated in euro but on payement the charge in TL so you end up paying more then initially decided. That is mentionned no where, neither on booking.com site nor on hotel site. 3) Breakfast buffet even didn't seem apeeling. 4)no personnal touch or feeling of being at home, which i got from hotel hotellino where i stayed previous two nights, just next door. As conclusion, it is a practical hotel with good location. Don't expect anything else.
The hotel is perfect located in Sultan Ahmad area, near blu mosque and all sight seeing area in European side in Istanbul. Clean hotel with Ok breakfast. Helpful personal.
cleanliness of our room nothing just some minor problems about wireless LAN in rooms
The Excellent staff attention. At every turn they went out of the way to be helpful. The billing charges from Booking.com were not clearly stated to us by booking.com so there were unexpected charges at the end.
The staff were attentive to our every need and friendly without being too effusive. Nothing was too much trouble. When we were kept awake by overnight building work in the building next door (which was beyond their control) they gave us a rebate on our bill. I would have prefered more drawer space for clothes in the room.
Everything. Could not find any fault with the hotel and the service at all. Wish more hotels were like it.
The location near the railway station, Topkapi and Hagia Sofia was really good. The hotel is not the largest (in any sense) but the service was generally impeccable. Breakfast was good and the small baths in the basement section a delight. Nicely done rooms. Our room was quite narrow. The bar in the lobby was not manned but one had to ask bell boy or find a waiter.
The staff were excellent. Everyone was extremely helpful and gracious. The ammenities in the hotel, from breakfast to afternoon tea as well as the facilities, all gratis, are great. If we return to Istanbul, we will be staying here again.
First class from the moment we walked through the door! Any and all requests that we had were immediately fulfilled. The staff working at the hotel are top notch. Since we arrived early our room was not ready, but we were shown two other rooms and chose the second. Great attention to detail from the free Turkish Delight placed in the center of the enormous bed to the hand written note "to our special guests." A wonderful place run by wonderful people with both taste and talent. We did not feel like a number at Sirkeci Konak but rather were given individual attention. Ezgi Kepsutlu gave us special time in laying out the details of how to get to where we wanted to go and answered other questions that we had. We will return!
Fantastic location: within easy walk of the Haggia Sophia, Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and the ferry port. Off the main road on a quiet side road and very close (less than 50 metres) from the nearest tram stop. Wonderful staff and superb Guest Relations staff made us very welcome. Rooms were clean, very comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom was small but perfectly adequate for our needs, was clean and everything worked as expected. The bedrooms are not huge but we had a small balcony where we could stand but not sit outside. Breakfast was fantastic and varied and the complimentary teatime Apple/Turkish tea and rolls were a nice touch as were the delicious Turkish Delight found on arrival and at departure. There was nothing really which troubled us. Some of the walls seemed thin and we could occasionally hear voices but the guests were all well mannered so not really a problem. The taxi driver found it very difficult to find the hotel despite asking several people in Istanbul but not really a fault of the hotel! Take directions if you have them - the taxi drivers are not like those in London who know every street in their city.
Very clean and friendly. Location is quite noisy in the morning.
This hotel is extremely well located. Great staff. Available and always helpful with a smile. Top of our priority list when we go back to Istanbul.
Decor was interesting without being over powering. Staff were friendly. Room was secluded enough to get a good nights sleep.
excellent location; excellent staff; great view from top floor room; all rooms with balcony; cleanliness very good
It's beautiful furnitured hotel on a very good location nearby all majors highlights of Istanbul. The breakfast is a disaster, staff is not capable to deliver a breakfast or anticipate on your wishes.
its location, hotel staff are very eager to help, clean rooms the loud music from the pub down, lack of the slippers in room, rooms are a little bit small
The room was new and clean. The air condition was not available. The breakfast was poor and the room was noisy.
The location is good, the hotel is good-looking, the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. First, the hotel is overpriced, like most of what is to be found in Istanbul. Second, the coffee is of very bad quality, which makes having breakfast there a problem. Third, the staff at the Irish Bar - on the first floor of the hotel and owned by the hotel - is very rude, has ways that belong more to a nightclub, and gives the impression that they want one to have his/her drink fast, pay and make room for new clients. This is a real problem when the price of an Irish Whisky at that bar is 10 Euros. My partner and I went to that bar twice, had the same experience twice, and relayed our displeasure to the hotel manager, but nothing was done about it.
Close to attractions. The staff was very helpful. The hotel had a pub open until 1-2am a bit noisey. Smoke filtered up stairs to the room. I had trouble with the ethernet had to go down stairs to get on line
Location, clean rooms Noise outside, no wi-fi, air condition available in summer only, no drinking water, no price list for mini bar, very small rooms
very helpful and friendly staff, very intimate hotel.. the interior is decorated to a very high and unique standard, the room was just a little but very comfortable and clean, nice bathroom :).. fantastic location no
The locations was perfect for seeing old Istanbul. Breakfasts were nice in a top floor room with nice views. Rooms starting to look a bit worn with scratches in walls, holes in sheets, etc. They wouldn't give us more than one room key. Noise from the street would definitely be a problem if you are a light sleeper.
Clean, good location AC not working, 30 degrees in the room during the night. Clean room but very small. Nice Pub at ground floor but extremely expensive. Poor breakfast.,
Hotel resides in the tourist district, a short walk from most of the major sites. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small but very nicely outfitted. The bar downstairs can be a bit noisy for those looking to go to bed early. I felt the breakfast was very spartan; no pancakes or waffles, no omelets, very limited fruit.
i loved the room and the nice staff
Excellent location. Right in the middle of everything and right in front of the tramway station.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Conveniently located and a tram-stop directly outside the hotel was an added bonus. The rooms were slightly cramped.
Hotel did not match exoectatuions as raised by photos and commentry. Room was large enough and bed large and comfortable but room was old, tired and little things that were "rough" or unfinished. Took long to check in (more than an hour as the room was not ready even at 4 pm). We were booked in foir 4 days but checked out after one night. Nothing really wrong but just did not meet expectations or "promiose"
Excellent location with a tram stop right on the doorstop allowing you to vist a wide range of locations in central Istanbul. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and were able to visit most of the tourist and shopping sites without haveing to spend a great deal of time and money on taxis A very small number of items were missing from the room for example there was no printed instructions about how to use the safe, batteries were missing from the remote controls for the TV and air conditioner and there was a leak in the shower unit in the bathroom, These were small but irritable points which could easilty have been checked and rectified prior to the arrival of the guests.
excellent position near the tram station and near the turistic zone. rooms are quite big and comfortable very scarce cleaning of the room and in general of the structure.no comment for the poor breakfast in a hotel tha wants to be international
Clean and comfortable Surly and unhelpful front desk
The location The reception guy, was in stress and he was unpolite answering questions. The rest of the staff was ok.
Location is v good. Off the plane. Bus to Taksim square. Funicular to tram. Tram to front door. Out front door. turn right, turn left, into the sultanamet. Location is v bad. The trams keep coming so back rooms only. Istanbul is the most polluted city I've experienced. The constant con games around were a revelation. I've been to some dives in my time, but they seem seem to coalesce (globally) around taksim. And if you fly in by pegusus, you'll probably have the opportunity to meet a large social club around the lost baggage counter. Never again.
Location was great, only a short walk to Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque and other interesting sights. Very handy to restaurants too. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful in arranging shuttle to the airport on our departure. No problems at all.
The strength of this boutique hotel lies in its staff led by Sener and Artan, they manage a wonderful group of people that friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Every request is greeted with a hearty smile and genuine care and a great sense of humor. The hotel is across the road from the Topkaki Walls, central to all the Sultanhamet sights and across from the tram stop, very conveniently situated
The stuff are really friendly and keen to a good impression to their guests and the location is perfect and close from almost everything with a walking distance to the metro station, ferry port and other transport (microbus) The rooms are very small but good if you are planning to enjoy the Istanbul not the hotel, also if you do not like noise make sure you will take a room far from the main street (bad view but quiet).
the hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly, treat you as a part of their familly. Many choices for the breakfast. it was in the old city, walking distance from many touristic sites and the tramway was just infront of the hotel. Excellent stay and I would come back if I visit Istanbul again. just no elevator, so it will be difficult for the elderly, especially that the breakfast hall was on the terrace (3rd floor), however, the staff help you with the luggages.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Extremely well located hotel in regards to the Historical center (very close to Saint Sophie). Breakfast was very diverse, fresh and in quantity (breakfast can be taken on a terrace). Bedrooms cleaned every day. It can be noisy if the room is on the street side due mainly to the tram (after asking, staff easily moved us to a quiet room).
Great location good amenities very helpful staff good breakfasts Our room was at the very front of the hotel, one level up, and was therefore very noisy
Room was clean, cozy, breakfast was also very good. The staffs were kind and devoted in service. My room was so quite due to being located opposite to main street. I was all-right, but my father's back was in agony due to the bed.
Best value for money. Location is excellent. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Very nice breakfast in the beautiful terrace located on the roof.
Very friendly staff and great location in the heart of the city. Excellent quality / price ratio. Room is very small and dark.
Proximity to Sultanahmet, specifically the two Mosques
Excellent Location, The very friendly staff, cleanliness, good price. Rooms are bit small, but comfortable nonetheless. The stairs to the second and third floor are a bit steep so they're not fit for travelers who are elderly or cannot climb stairs, but again, these comments apply only in particular circumstances. Overall impression is: Excellent Clean Friendly Budget Hotel.
Everything was good, hotel is very comfortable and good situated, staff is very friendly.
Very friendly and helpful, excellent location
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Zeynep Sultan. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they really made our stay. The only small downside is that the rooms are not completely quiet (some water noise) but for the price it can't be beat and we would definitely stay there again.
Very nice location, very hospitable staff. small bathroom as in all hotels in the area though!
Best location ever,,, we could walk to all the locations wanted to see Friendly, super helpful staff... an amazing value..
Perfect location, very close to the Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. Quiet (with the exception of the public prayer from the Minarett which is right next to the hotel). Breakfast is ok, however every day the same. Very nice terrace for breakfast or relaxation. Internet access free, when the one computer is not occupied.
superb location. the owner is very friendly always with original recommendations & lot's of patience breakfast a bit dull
nice a well designed modern room and interiores, excellent and young style restaurant and a very kind and helpful staff, a big bottle of mineral water gratis every day in the room. there should be at least one computer available for the guests in the lounge, The staff however was so kind to let at guests' disposal the reception computer,
The hotel staff was very warm and helpful. The rooms are impecable and pretty large in size. The placement of the hotel is outstandingly close to many tourist attractions + the tram station is about 30 seconds of walking. Also the view from the room is something worth looking at. The only downside to this hotel is the breakfast - it could be more diversified.
The Faros Hotel is new, clean and convenient for everything to be seen in the centre of Istanbul. It is a straightforward hotel that is perfect for a city break. The staff spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful.
The hotel is very new and has very nice design! The best part of the hotel are the people who run it!
Modern hotel, clean and big rooms, nice view from the room. Good breakfast (big variety). Great service and very friendly staff on the Faros Restaurant.
Perfect location, very friendly service, clean and modern rooms
Staff v friendly. Great location. Restaurant good and inexpensive. V modern and clean.
