FRONT DESK EXTREMELY HELPFUL
Reception staff were charming and so were the transfer porters/drivers. The room was very large, clean and luxurious as was the bathroom. It is very convenient for the airport being attached to the terminal building. The restaurant was closed at 11pm and the bar staff were 'cheeky' and we returned to our room instead where mini-bar prices were the same as the bar. At breakfast the waiters hardly acknowledged us. Coffee and tea were cold but head waiter did get us some hot coffee. The selection on the buffet was good but no offer of fresh eggs though chefs were walking around. There was no menu.
excellent big room, new furniture, excellent bathroom, clean, helpful english speaking staff
the fact i couldnt open any windows
The bell boy and receptionist were exceptionally helpful on arrival. The shuttle bus to take me back to the airport was unavailable when I checked out.
The friendliness of the staff was extraordinary. They addressed every person by the name.
Location and hotel/room facilities Poor knowledge of english language of house keeping staff
The gym and spa facilities at this hotel are particularly good. The rude woman at reception
all all good
free parking and free internet
i like the Gym ,Room (there is alot things missing at the room), and the Sea view .. No one can understand any language beside the turkish , even the room service staff, and i had a problem with that , it is 5 star hotel without english , how it could be !!!!!!! and they take long time to response , specially the room service ....
hotel personnel is so nice and polite. room service is quick. prices are reasoable. such a nice, peaceful hotel. i highly recommend. the entrance of the hotel should be directed more conveniently for the guests.
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, good location for the shops in the evening. Road noise when window is open as airconditioning does not operate in the winter period. TV reception was poor at times. No daily supply of tissues in room. Desk lamp did not work on my last visit.
location near airport is very convinient pool was cold and they charge USD 15 for a head cap that is obligatory but in reality it is worth USD 2
The quality of the room. The sewrvice in the restauraunt was very poor.
The room was lovely - huge, comfortable bed. Two showers, one with full bath. Comfy robe, big TV. The staff were cordial but not especially helpful or friendly. The hours posted were not adhered to (for the pool and for breakfast). The location is very convenient for the Istanbul SAW airport, but don't choose this hotel if you are visiting Istanbul as a tourist.
The room size and comfort of bed. The swimming pool could only be used if wearing swimming cap which would have been an additional charge to purchase, at quite a large charge. Hence we didnt use the pool facitility
The bed was very good. The staff were stuffy and a bit fascist. Asking for your room number wherever you went in the hotel.
We like Divan Istanbul Asia very much. Everything is excellent. Nothing. We wish we could stay there longer.
The hotel staff were very professional and courteous at all times.
Staff and hotel facilities Nothing
The spacious bedroom and luxurious bathroom Everything was first class
cleaning and wiev vas really good. receptionist forgot to wake me up early in the morning even i had pleased before.
Great staff, huge and very clean modern room. Far away from downtown and shopping streets. Not much to do around the hotel
Rooms are extremely large, comfortable and fully equipped. Main estaurant is pretty good. Roof bar is ok. The hotel is too far from downtown. Due to the heavy traffic, it takes minimum 1 hour to get from the hotel to the city centre.
Good only if you arrive in saw
the room was clean and nice
Leaving. This hotel is on the internet at a Luxury "business" hotel. The reality is that it is a run down building with no facilities and no near-by facilities unless you want to walk down to the Green Park Hotel. We would never have stayed there if we had known and had not arrived at night in a dark neighborhood with nothing around. To get to any sign of life the next day, we had to cross the railway track looking for trains coming both ways and hope we didn't fall crossing the track. Shame on you for not being honest that this is a ghetto hotel in not a very nice location. It almost spoiled out great trip to Turkey.
Clean room No evening food. Frozen brekfast.
It calls itself a residence, but there is no kettle in the room only a fridge that doesn't work too well. The staff were friendly and helpful though.
Hotel has curious architecture but appears well run. Clean spacious room with good beds and free Wifi connection. Assuming that one can get a taxi, the hotel is convenient for Sabiha Gocken airport. It was hard to find in an outer suburb of Istanbul with no local amenities. Even local taxi drivers had not heard of it. The hotel backs on to a major railway line. The air conditioning did not work.
room nice size first it is not a Hotel, other than beakfast there are no food or drink facilities staff not very helpful nearest shop to buy food is a mile away through a field up a hill and across a railway track, not sure who is idealy suited to the hotel not families, not buisness people maybe people ariving late at night and leaving early next day
The staff at reception were fluent in English and very helpful to the point of allowing us to leave our luggage at the hotel's storage facility for a few days while we toured nearby areas in Istambul. The swimming pool is lovely, not crowded and of sufficient length (approx. 20-25 m) to do some decent swimming. The rooms were clean and included a fully kitted out kitchen and living room, which made home cooking easy. There are shops nearby (5 min walk) where one can buy all the food necessary. There is no safe storage for bicycles. At night, youngsters from the neighbourhood can roam around the hotel facilities and may even jump the fence. The night receptionist and security guard do not seem particularly interested in doing their job. Other hotels in town offer free airport transport even with a van that can carry bicycles. The Marmara Pendik Residence lacks this facility and relies on local taxi services that can be expensive (we paid 35 Turkish Lira for a taxi to Sabiha Gokcen airport, which was a bit of a high surcharge for carrying our two bicycles).
Nothing! The room was smelly and there was a main line train track fifty mtrs from our room which meant we did not get much sleep also the breakfast was poor and expencive.
I liked the comfort of the room & the room facilities. And Pendik centre was within walking distance.I would suggest the internet connection should be wireless or provide a longer lead to connect a laptop to. It would then be possible to use your laptop in the living area.
Close to Airport, Room was good. Bed location, attitude of staff was not good
Hotel upgrade the room type Breakfast is below par
very nice rooms and friendly staff
We were upgraded to a suite which was great but prevents me from answering as a 'normal' traveler. The hotel is very convenient for Sabiha Gokcen Airport (10m max) and has a courtesy connection. The lack of other dining guests in the evening was a bit strange but otherwise nothing to dislike.
The very best thing about this hotel it's location close to Sabiha Gokcen Airport & the viaport shopping centre.not to forget the cleanless of the rooms and the big room space provedid, also the stuff were nice. Just having to climb the stairs to enter the hotel since it's in the upper level of a shopping centre, and the stray dogs around their.
The staff spoke enough English, and they were very friendly and welcoming. It is close to stores and restaurants, which was very convenient. The staff were very helpful in regard to a checkout at 4 a.m. and getting us a taxi. There is no elevator in the building, and thus it is not for those who have bad knees. The staff helped us with the luggage though.
