Excellent and poshy hotel with great location! We enjoyed our stay and the hotel staff was always helpful! Great breakfast! In such a hotel WiFi should be offered free of charge!
Location, helpfulness and politeness of staff, eating opportunities
Room , location and breakfast (food and view)
Service; size of the room; expresso machine;
location convenient; rooms well thought out and laid out; services and staff good.
the location is very central
location, beds v bad shower - always flooded. taps too close to sink & tub. In-room food poor
Location. Superb! Really nice room. A little noisy on a Saturday night... and have to pay for gym facility.
Location, space, facilities The chairs were not comfortable. Not enough towels in bathrooms. Rooms not warm enough. Staff at front desk slow to respond to request. elevator man asked me every evening — every time I approached the elevator — "may I help you?" And planted himself in the wya of the elevator to prevent my ingress. Get someone with better memory that greets guests more warmly
The personal and friendly service
Its location We had serious issues with their housekeeping deaprtment consistently failing to clean our room on time/properly and some of their breakfast serving staff were exceedingly rude to my party.
The location is great and close to the star ferry, MTR, popular eateries and shopping. The bathroom is poorly designed with water going everywhere but the face basin or bath tub. Noise is an issue being in the bars and clubs district. The breakfast is not great, better off saving that money and going to a yumcha place.
This gas to be one of the best hotels I have been fortunate enough to stay in and believe me, I stay in alot all over the world. Yes it doesn't have free wifi or a pool, but for the night owls out there, you couldnt want for a better location in HK 10/10.
Clean and comfortable. Wonderful powerful shower and nice firm bed with good quality bedding. The extractor in the bathroom didn't seem to work resulting in excessive condensation.
Very silent. I had to pay HK$ 100 per day for the internet, which was very often interrupted.
Location is excellent! Good value for money! Suggest they provide computer internet services for hotel guests, now have to go next door and use one computer in a dark corner and have to stand, extremely inconvenient!!!
Relax and comfort
The hotel was very quiet and the bed although hard was very comfortable once we changed to an upgraded and more expensive room. the location was good once we figured out the bus system and where to pick up a bus downtown. the resteraunt that is attatched to the hotel is very unpleasant in the morning and is not well kept. we only ate there once as it didn't look any too clean in the morning. our first room was very old with stained carpets and a really strong smell of smoke. once we paid for an upgrade we were happier by far. the staff was not terribly helpful at this hotel. we are not difficult travellers however there were a number of things we had never seen before such as how to put the key into a slot to turn on the power in the room.
Central location Slow lift
Clean, good value, great with facilities Have a young daughter and the pool is very child friendly on the weekend.
Strategically located in a smart place. Some room , still not renovated.
Although clean, the room was run-down. There was nothing cheery or welcoming about the room - no bedspreads, stained carpet, chipped paint, etc. The room needs to be rennovated.
The hotel is well located, because in a few minutes on reach the HKG botanical and zoological garden. Nice side to relax and enjoy a quiet break. No complaints at all. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Prices however from Monday to Friday reasonable, Saturday and Sunday too high.
The location of the hotel is great. No doubt I did not get a good view room but overall the experience would good. Clean and comfortable. My only request is for your staffs especially those in the front desk to work with more smile and more friendly. They were not rude but it would be good if we see a smile especially in a foreign land.
- Professional staff and service - Great location accessible to the center of Hong Kong: decent neighborhood mid -level - Clean facilities - Good restaurant food - Great value of money - Wish the hotel restaurant can be opened a bit earlier and till later (for now the opening hours is 1130 to 2130)
Can't beat the location and value, Room was clean and the staff was friendly... overall a great experience! Would definitely return. The trick is to show up low expectations and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you're used to staying at the W, then this hotel is not for you. Whoever complains about how small the rooms should not be considered a valid complaint, MINI is in the name of the hotel! Just know that it's perfect for the short stay solo traveler. The only things to note is that maneuvering the shower can be challenging (may have just been specific to my room) and that the bed is very firm. Can hear street noise as with any downtown hotel, but nothing unbearable as long as you're not a light sleeper.
Sadly, apart from the excellent location (very good and Central) and really polite / helpful staff - there wasn't much to like. Rooms are basic (but perhaps about right on the value for money front) while lobby, Wi-Fi is very good The hotel seems to have very poor ventilation & severe humidity issues which requires that air-conditioning is kept on most of the time (even when not in room to prevent condensation). Additionally, sound proofing is very poor and you can hear even the softest of conversations, TV/Audio from adjoining rooms. While room was clean, corridor carpets were stained and dirty. The hotel is also undergoing some kind of repair and upgrade, so I can only hope they get it right soon. Overall, a very uncomfortable two night's sleep.
Rooms were made up promptly each day. Very clean. Rooms are small. Clock did not work. Location is only fair.
Free wireless internet in the room
Smooth check-in; our requests for higher floor and harbourview were met. Extension for dayroom nicely settled for the lower earlier agreed price. Beautiful view due to ceiling-to-floor glass on outside. Location at top of Hong Kong Escalators, brings you easily to outgoing area soho and back. Rest of facilities (gym, pool) not used but were in good order. Room rates may change quite a bit on a daily basis (eg: hkd 570 vs 950 for dayroom extension). The free wifi-reception in the room at times not strong enough, in hallway ok though.
Convenient location, clean modern room, helpful staff, free city shuttle service, value for money The rooms are small but nicely laid out.
Food & Beverage quality in coffee shop very small rooms and bed to small and uncomfortable, no contact from management even though I was a long stay guest
Location and hotel staff help
Central location above business district and restaurant/bars with easy access on Mid Levels escalator. plus bus stop right outside and lots of passing taxis.. Rooms are very small (even the harbour view suite), but all very clean with friendly staff.
Usually reasonable value Massive price fluctuation
the location too small rooms
able to walk to certain tourist areas none
