the staff are great, the loby of the hotel was very nice the rooms are not spacious, most of all ,the bed is not comfortable at all.
a very pleasurable stay from checking in to checking out.Outstanding service throughout the hotel nothing
Good staff, excellent facilities. The upgrade to a Junior Suite was welcome. A little bit out of things, although they is an MTR station 5 minutes walk away. The area around the hotel isn't the smartest, although it seems perfectly safe.
Proffessional staff Nothing I didnt like
Extremely comfortable bed Nice room Great staff Great view from 188 Run of the mill things expensive Dinner in 188 on NYE chaotic (no main course still after three hours) which is unacceptable given the price
Concierge staff extremely helpful. Pool very clean. Hotel only open 2 months so everything is new. Hotel blocked 100% of the room charges as security deposit on debit card card payment (phone/minibar!). When I complained, instead of crediting the amount, they debited it again so my card was blocked by the bank. Not amused at all. Front desk resolved problem but at my cost of 30 min phone call to my bank in the UK.
Beautiful panoramic view, tasty food and the stuff was very helpful.
We got an upgrade which was much appreciated. We were able to check in earlier than expected. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to please. Some engaged us in friendly conversation for half an hour or more. A real highlight was the view from the 41st floor - a truly stunning vista that took in both the island and the mainland. We were the first guests ever to order food in this lofty venue and we sampled most of the delicacies - all fabulous. The hotel is situated in an unimposing area - among the motor shops of North Point - but the setting turned out to be propitious. We felt separated from the jostle of the crowds in the more traditional, "touristy" settings. This ultra-smart, ornately designed hotel became a true holiday haven. We had only two minor complaints - when we arrived they seemed surprised, and for a few minutes it appeared as if they hadn't known we were booked in. Secondly, because the hotel is new, there were more staff in attendance than guests. This felt slightly odd and a little unsettling. Everywhere we turned there was a doorman or staff member ready to fawn over us. We'd have preferred feeling less "special" as this would have allowed us to relax more.
the view from the room and the top restaurant is great. very small lobby which does not invite you. The chairs at the main restaurant/breakfast area are very bad.
lobby is spacious not able to check in by 2pm only at 4pm
Hotel was quiet.
Friendly Cheerful Staff Food in Main Cafe needs to improve
The location was great to get around in Hong Kong. Some staff members were not to helpful
I am totally dissatisfied with City Garden Hotel Hong Kong. It is not value the money and should disqualify this is the 3 star only. Staff in facilities are very very impolite and cannot speak English. I shall not recommend my friend to stay here.
The staff were very helpful and happy to help, which was very much appreciated, especially as we were travelling with out twin 3 year olds. Free water & the free extra bed in the room was great.
The facilities are just amazing. Clean, organized. The bathroom really clean! Overall amazing The check in process could be better
I stayed for a week and was pleased overall. Decent room size for a Hong Kong hotel. There was a nice king sized bed and the hotels location was ideal. I will be going back.
North Point location. It is not in the main tourist areas (Causeway Bay or Tsim Sat Tsui) but, for me, it is ideally located and very convenient. Transportation via MTR, tram or bus is just a short walk away and a lot of local restaurants nearby. For the first couple of days there was some construction on our floor and even right next door but only during the day.
It is conveniently located however the lobby area is small and noisy. The room rate is reasonable.
overall an excellent hotel location. it's hard to get a taxi at the hotel
Location Staff attitude and service
It was discreet and all staff were very friendly. It realyy needs a facelift - the sofas were dirty and it needed a good clean.
very nice and comfortable rooms
The location is ideal for city tourism, Breakfast and breakfast-facilities are first class, superb. Humidity smell in the room, which was partially solved by opening the windows.
Good location overall. Close to MTR. Walking distance to a number of restaurants, parks, library. Gym facility was below average and pool was very small.
The staff was very nice and very helpful. Hotel was very clean. The staff upgraded our room because we had a party of three and the room was very spacious for Hong Kong's standard. Best of all this hotel is located across from a MTR across the street.
I liked it was directly across the Tin Hua MTR and the tram/trolley was just across too. ( cost 2.3 HKD = 33 cents ) to get around in trolley a good way to see the city. Currency exchange just across the street (offers better rate on money than the hotel does) and the room service was good. Room for 2 people but breakfast buffet was just for 1 person and the choices in buffet not so great especially for vegetarians. The lobby and elevators are way too cold need to turn down the AC. Concierge staff gave me wrong directions Once. And it's $5HKD to print a page if you use the single computer.
Special Glass aka Magic Glass used in the shower. Thumbs up. Huge lcd screen. Thumbs up. Rooms are smaller. Location of hotel a bit out... Please have a sign board to be placed at the side else no one will see it.
the room is clean and the hotel is new. the shower is modern also. the price is also not expensive
the location and the surrounds, being nestled in a neighbouorhood. the room was small n tight especially for family wif kid. or at least the room provided for us. the furnishings' getting old. the reception staff were not too friendly or willing in providing info.
Location is very convenience, close to mtr, easy access to shopping centre. No.
room is comfortable, clean and very bright room. room a bit small especially the bathroom
Hotel staffs were courteous & friendly. Rooms were not too small, it is just HK standard. Convenient location to transportation & lot’s of good restaurants close by. Room to room calls had to go through switch board.
To play game on TV The lobby is quite dark and also in the elevator.
The Metropark is a good hotel for the budget traveller. Close to most things including public transport (The Tin Hau MRT station just across the road). The highlights of the hotel include warm friendly staff, clean adequate rooms and the rooftop pool.
Staff superb - rooms with great views of harbour. Good breakfasts and OK gym. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, trams and much more. Beds hard.
We upgraded to a suite...the best value for money in Hong Kong with amazing views over the harbour.
Central location without being too central (i.e. noisy). Clean, modern. Reserved double or queen bed, was given twin. Contacted reception on arrival in room about changing room, told to wait 10 min. 1/2 hour later rang again, told nothing available & wouldn't be able to help for the following night either.
Very good location - close to MTR so easy to reach all main sites, nice big rooms Reception staff not very informative, though very friendly
to attend a conference , i need to book a hotel, the hotel itself is good and in a good location. but the price is too high maybe for the conference
I got an upgrade to a larger room as a frequent visitor, much appreciated for the space and exceptionally wide harbour views. The hotel is probably best suited for tourists on short stays.
The girl at breakfast restaurant can relate guest and room which seemed professional and surprising Door man not always present at ground floor
Awesome customer service Great view Excellent location Nice hotel
View and location Breakfast!
We stayed here last November. In our review of the hotel, we indicated that we were happy with all aspects of the hotel except the annoying CRT TV and the irritating smoke getting into our non-smoking room through the ventilation system. Well, the management listened. We stayed here again this November. There was a new LCD TV and no smoke in the room. We highly recommend this hotel. None.
Nice room excelent service
We arrived at the hotel at 10am after an overnight 13 hour plane flight and appreciated that our room was immediately available to us. Then on the day of our departure the hotel happily stored our luggage until 4.30pm (at no cost to us). The hotel shuttle bus service that connects with the Airport Express Train made travel between the airport and hotel easy. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the Quarry Bay mtr Station thus allowing fast and easy access to all areas of Hong Kong. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a variety of choice.
The Hong Kong Mwtro's Quarry Bay station was just 5 minutes away. From there, you can travel everywhere in Hong Kong The high Wi-Fi charge and the rude behavior from the staff. They do not make me welcome. Apart from the hotel coffee shop and other food outlets, there were no other restaurants near the hotel.
Easy of travel convenience locally. But it is too far from Airport and it will be a rip off if you go by taxi.
The facilities were all clean; concierge was very helpful. The Internet fees! In this day and age, they should be able to provide free wi-fi!
The hotel upgraded the room to Harbour Club. I must admit that after several times in Hongkong, Harbour Plaza North Point has the biggest room compared to other hotels (4 stars or 5 stars) that I ever stayed in Hongkong. The hotel location is also very convenient, easy access. Bus station and trem station are beside the hotel, and MTR station is only 2 minutes from hotel. Will stay again with family. No complaint
Hotel reasonably well located on HK Island. Swimming pool a bonus in humid weather. Reception staff could learn how to smile!
To many extras, comfort wise other 4 star hotels offer better deals, wouldnt stay there again the price did not reflect the real value of the hotel
Excellent location , 2 min from MTR to Central and 7 min to Central HK, 25 m clean swimming pool, good breakfast and perferct buffet lunch.
Nothing It's beside a casket; no shopping complex nearby.
They upgraded me to a better room and overall the front office staff were some of the most helpful I have experienced Nothing
Excellent location for attending the trade shows. This is my tenth time coming to this hotel and like the hotels service. I would like to see the room rate include internet and breakfast as most hotels do. Internet rates are far to expensive if anything should be complimentary
The room was little bit smaller than my expectation but it was nice. very modern and clean.. And the breakfast was good but i think should add more hot food.. only breads, pasteries and salad.. The transportation convenience was nice just near the Exit,, and not far from central.. Other things are Ok.. i would stay East Hongkong Hotel next time as well.. not at all
Modern, great value and wonderful views of the harbour from some rooms - we were lucky to be upgraded from urban to city views. Great staff. Breakfast not cheap but very good and the bar is just gorgeous - a must. They organised a pick up car for us from the airport which was a good deal considering we were 4 with plenty of luggage. Defintely stay there again.
Modern and original room design, very comfortable room, great views from the bar on the rooftop. Two minutes from the MTR station. the checkin was the longest checkin I've experienced since ages. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but the MTR connection is so good that it wasn't a problem.
FEAST & Sugar rocked! As did the linkage to City Plaza and Tai Koo MTR. The room was cool, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities acceptable. The spa products were luxurious. Service from the receptionist was cold. The pool was okay but it was funny trying to take a dip surrounded by flats. The view from my room was also a bunch of residential flats so I had to keep my blinds closed. The hotel room was a bit pricey.
The hotel was fabulous. Sitting out on the deck overlooking the harbour, sipping wine on dusk was terrific. Staff was very friendly and efficient.
We did not know what it was like when we booked. We were extremely pleased. It was fantastic. Very luxurious and we had a great time.
The hotel staffs and facilities are excellent. The shutter bus driver is asking me for a higher price than what the hotel staff has told me. And want me to pay him directly but can't issue me a receipt. I have to say no. Thereafter the airport staff has issued me a receipt after I paid through the airport staff. The driver should not have try his luck this way for twice. It has bad marks in my good trip.
The hotel location is very good. It is next to one of the best shopping mall in Hong Kong. It can be easily accessed by subway. The hotel is designed with a very modern layout and the room gives you a great open view. The harbor view room gives us an unbeatable excellent view on the Hong Kong harbor. In addition, the hotel has the great gym and pool facilities. It even has couple bicycles that can be taken out for a short ride. What we like most is the shower facilities that are available for guests who can come back on late evening to take the shower before heading to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel for any business and leisure travelers. You won't be disappointed with this hotel.
Hotel designers have taken care of every small details. Fancy design. Rooms are large. the view is good even for urban view. Fancy bar at the top. Directly connected to city metro. Very good value for money.
Rooms were clean, bright, modern, comfortable and spacious - a real luxury considering the size of most hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic, and spoke fluent English. Even though it is some distance from the city centre, it is located right next to a mtr station so commuting is a breeze. I'll definitely use it again for future trips. Highly recommended all round!
We can do our own laundry even though it's a bit more expensive than having a neighborhood cleaner/laundrymat do it. No escalator going down. Have to walk / drag luggages down the stairway. The smell of food (that I can't eat) from the restaurant's cooking below the hotel.
Friendly staff welcomed us. The room is clean and has all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay: . It may be far from the airport, but it is accessible via MTR. The wireless Internet was a bit slow, but I can't complain since it's free. Additional electric outlets would also be nice for travelers like me who carry many gadgets.
The rooms were very modern. The cafe on site was not very good, however many options in the shopping malls around the hotel.
My wife and I like it very much - its location is not central but close to MTR station and other public transport. You can find many different eatries/restaurants at the nearby local shopping arcades at very reasonable(cheap) price. Room size is spacious compare with other Hong Kong city hotels. The staff are very polite and friendly too. Excellent value for money. Nothing really, but the hotel need to provide a information sheet in the room.
The room is spacious and consider pretty clean, the staff is friendly and helpful The light in front of the mirror in the bathroom area is too dark, suggest to have a microwave on each floor by the sink area, as some of us can be on special diet, they may need to have certain food, so they can warm up there instead of running up to 12th floor every single time
(1) Conveniently located next to mtr Station; (2) Good English speaking staffers; (3) s p a c I o u s and clean rooms; (4) Free cabled and WiFi internet access; and (5) very near convenience store (7-Eleven). Nothing. We loved everything there.
Great price for Hong Kong, Large comfortable room with balcony. Shower big enough for two. Friendly and helpful staff who can speak English. Would have preferred a double bed, but given two singles. We never asked to be transferred to a room with double bed, so not sure if it was available. Chan Wai is not a great location to actually do anything. We always had to go somehwere else for leisure purposes.
No frills but good and functional room with WiFi, great value for money if you don't mind the extra 15 minutes on the train Would be good to have a couple of international TV channels
Great value for money especially in Hong Kong. Very clean and nice rooms, great staff. Little bit far from the city center though.
Location is great. Less than 2mins walk from NorthPoint MTR exit A, and direct AirBus from the airport to the interchange just opposite the hotel. 24hrs 7-11 just down the street, and have a few eateries just next to it serving great local food. Room is small (nothing to be surprised in HK actually), but have everything you need for a holiday on a budget. Room is dirty, with thick layers of dust visible on the edges. Carpet seems a little wet during our stay. Walls are too thin, can actually hear the conversation of the next room clearly, especially on a quiet nite. TV only shows Fox News, nothing else. Only 2 lifts to serve 30+ floors, will have to wait quite a while during peak hrs. Definately not suitable if staying with families and kids.
absolutley nothing! oh maybe the fact that north point mtr is close by probably the worst hotel ive ever stayed in! i should have taken pictures of how bad the rooms were and post on trip advisor! from a review i learnt that the hotel had a few floor renovated so at the time of booking, i asked for a refurbed room, at check in i was told that because i booked via booking.com and not direct, direct customers had priority! small 14inch tv, dirty carpets, rust, mould, 5ft beds! the rooms were way too tiny! i can go on but there is no point! avoid at all costs! it was a bad experience which only a refund will sort, but to be fair, that is not going to happen. we stayed out as much as possible as we did not even want to sleep in the room!
Close to MTR; Not too pricy Nothing was bad ; Just a request to have a gymn.
The location is the best spot of my hoilday. The bus terminal, ferry, supermaket, shopping mall all very close by.The service is excellent. If the beakfast can change more varity will be the best.
The space in the room was very inadequate. When you have to climb over your partner to get in or out of the bed it is totally inadeqate. There was barely enough room for our inconsiderable luggage.
The proximity of the hotel to the nearest MTR exit was great. The view was decent and the area went well with what I expected.
location room size
Convenient location, N. Point MTR station is just next to the hotel, an underground train system which leads to everywhere in Hong Kong. Machine running noise at night which comes on for every 20 minutes and lasts for 20 minutes stopping you having a good night sleep. Insulation around the door is so poor, instead shutting the door quietly, it slams.
helpfull staff The room was too small.
Location, budget and basic accommodation make this one a draw. Bus A21 from City Rider is an airport express door to door with minimum stops. MTR, Hong Kong subway is directly underneath that connects to all other destinations. This is a three stars hotel that does not offer free in room local call. Internet access is 20-HKD for 30-minute minimum. You can purchase prepay lump sum minutes but only good for single log-in. There are only two setups in lobby.
