view I must go away two days before and I must pay for all period. This condition is not correct.
i came to the hotel parking straight from France thanks to my car gps ,the staff at reception was perfect and answer my worries:how can i park safely my car.and sold me tickets for the boat to take us to the Nautica international.i was also advised to a very good traditional restaurant in the vicinity for a nice dinner.100% efficient.thanks. none
Quite expensive but the hotel is lovely, new but very well planned & designed with flair to give a great atmosphere - the location helps of course, being right on the water. Also a lot of little accessories were provided in the room. Unusually, as there is nearly always something to criticise, we could make no criticism of The Jolly - Marina at all.
there is no wide varity in food menu
In Centre City. Near The Aquarium
Very good hotel located into marina. Yachts are all around.Fantastic bar and restaurant with perfect terase.
Great Location, central and easy walking distance to restaurants, marina, aquarium etc
The Hotel is well located but the staff, with rare exceptions, was not helpful at all. We needed a late check out ( around 2 PM ) to catch a plane and the lady at the desk told us she couldn't do it because the hotel was fully booked. However, acessing Booking.com we could easily see that there were, at least, 20 rooms available for the next day. We felt deceived because we were lied to.
Paid for a regular room and got an awesome luxury apartment. Expensive (and full) parking, had to park in the (yet more expensive) Aquarium parking next door.
Location Internet did not work
authenticity of the hotel, atmosfere
nice large room very clean... good breakfast limited dining capability in the evening... arrival difficult with car.....
Good location, nice ambience, greta staircase. No ironing facilities provided after day hours! OK to not have one in the room but a 4* hotel should have somewhere to quickly iron a shirt - and the staff made no effort to think of something. Also dis not advise us there was train strike when we booked a cab to the station - the hotel should know things like this and offer to help.
the valet parking
Breakfast was great! The Liguri pasteries are goregeous! The size of the room was perfect for our family trip. The bathroom was also spacious and included enough room for all the cosmetics to fly around without bothering us really! It was also obvious that the ladies did a great job with the cleaning. It looked impecable every day we were there for 4 days. I loved the heart of the hotel which is the highlight of the place. Beautiful red carpet stairs in an ''accordeon''! The floor is a marvellous wooden floor most likely hand crafted. It would need some referbishment...
The hotel decoration and architecture. It is really nice place, very central and good for some shopping. Still very reasonable speaking about cost and price/quality Very narrow beds, as I was travelling with my son and we have separate single beds, but the size looked like the kid's one. Breakfast is poor.
Location in the very center - good for walking around the city. Very good breakfast. Nice decoration. Free parking at the entrance is always occupied. Most probably you'll be advised to use public parking around the corner. Howewer cost is the same - 20 EUR per night.
Not much Horrible WIFI. Bad coffee and not many healthy choices at breakfast. Terrible parking. Nowhere to unload the car, the parking is slow, Off site and expensive. The Brustol has no door person and this hotel needs one.
building of the hotel is very nice, and it has a good location
Location is very good-- walking distance to areas of the city we wanted to visit. The best part of the experience was that the hotel personnel were able to direct us to local sights and restaurants where we had good experiences. The room itself & especially the bath are first rate.
Beautiful, well-appointed room, very close to the main railway station. Very friendly and helpful staff. No hotel restaurant. Not a big deal, but a hotel purporting to be five star should have one.
The spa facilities were very good The staff were helpfull and friendly There was a good choice for breakfast The parking attendent damaged my car while parking it and then denied it From now on I will park my own car
Good bathroom, comfortable bed, courteous & helpful staff.Breakfast was a good experience and the food and service at the trattoria is excellent.Pity the water shortage meant the spa was shut. The first room:TV and bedside lamp did not work. The second room layout had not been well thought out to enable easy use of the available facilities.
Old-style ambiente, quiet, perfect air conditioning.
This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a regular romantic holiday break. The staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival. My husband and I speak various languages, and so they were happy to accommodate, and even teach us some Italian phrases. They also pointed us to various things to do in Genoa and the surrounding areas, such as boat excursions to Camogli-San Fruttuoso-Portofino. The restaurant manager was extremely helpful and welcoming; I felt a bit ill during dinner one night and went down to the room, while he arranged to have my food brought to the room, which was a kind touch. The room is pretty and tastefully decorated. The Spa facilities are excellent, with a sauna, 'tepid room', steam room, hydropool, comfortable lounge chairs, showers, ice dispenser, teas and snacks available. We liked the rooftop jacuzzi - very relaxing. Please note that the following are merely notes that can be built upon: Although this was a fantastic hotel for a regular holiday, I would have expected a little more from management for our honeymoon (we were married the day before). My husband had notified the hotel that this was our honeymoon several months ahead. Given that this was a 5* hotel, I had high expectations for our honeymoon. Upon arrival into our room, however, my first reaction was that the room was a little disappointing as it was rather small and in the corner of the hotel at the back (giving onto an apartment's hanging laundry). My husband had arranged rose petals (lovely touch, spread in hearts on the bed) and champagne on arrival. However, there was no champagne and he had to call Reception to remind them to bring it up, which arrived while he was in the shower, and so I had to sign the bill - which greatly embarrassed my husband. I later learned that the hotel had suggested upgrading our room to a honeymoon suite (100euros extra per night) and that the roses cost 30euros and champagne 80euros. Having traveled extensively to 5* hotels all over the world for two decades, and having made inquiries over that time, I was made aware that honeymooners tend to get complementary 'special treatments' from hotels to make their honeymoon extremely special (for example, complementary/discounted room upgrade, complementary rose petals, fruit baskets, discounted couple's massage etc) and I suppose to retain these customers. I am aware that Grand Hotel Savoia is a business that needs to profit. However, I would suggest that the hotel consider better ways of catering for honeymooners, which would be a good way of retaining these customers. For instance, we would have absolutely loved a complementary/discounted room upgrade to a front-facing room, without having to ask, and simple little extras (like a complimentary small fruit bowl in the room upon arrival). Furthermore, I was a bit surprised about having to pay £30 for the rose petals, and I was disappointed by the above issue with the champagne. Just some notes for future reference. Thanks!
Nice location, very nice staff, excellent breakfast, old but luxurious rooms; good choice...
the rooms and bathrooms are clean I travelled using my car. on my arrival there was no space for my car in the hotel parking (in 5 stars hotel this is!!). only one resturant in the hotel with a limited veraities.
Good breakfast buffet Not flexible about kids access to SPA
Nice old world atmospheric hotel Still renovating. Car Parking inconvenient. Inexperienced staff. Overpriced. Good 4 Star but not nearly up to 5 Star level.
Location is perfect. Staff speaks very good English. Beds very comfortable. None
Within a 15 minute walk from points of interest. Valet parking eliminated all parking hassles. Once grand but now rather outdated. Hallways very unattractive. Very expensive at full room rates and not good value for money. I would rate in-room accomodation as 3-4 star.
Everything was just great.
Clean in beautiful room eksibition
The relation price - quality is fine, but there are some lacks as well! The staff at the reception in general was friendly, but Simona was not at all. She ignored us when we checked-in, got some questions about the city, and at checked-out as well. Moreover, the breakfast was poor: for such big hotel the omelet was cooked just for 2-3 people. Therefore, when we tried to get it, it was all-time finished. The bread was not tasty at all,it seems like it was frozen before and heated at the morning. Then, the location is not so convenient. It's far from the city centre! And last, but not least, at the four star hotel it must be all bathroom stuff! There were just showergel and soap in it! As we booked a four star hotel, we did not take anything with us, and we had to buy toothbrush, toothpaste and so on! ridiculous
I loved the design it was very italian.
Very nice Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent beds, excellant decoration. nice breakfast The location was not very good.
It's a bit off, not within walking distance from Genoa city
Beautifully decorated and very comfortable suites. Large bathrooms which is not common in Italy. The breakfast was good. Our room had an amazing view of the harbour. The hotel is located near a metro stop however the metro in Genoa only runs until 9pm which is not clearly communicated on the location page. The option of using a taxi is recommended although trying to find a taxi late at night isnt easy.
Nice rooms. Excellent beds. Do not recommend lousy restaurants to your guests. We was recommended the restaurant Pandmonio in the Old City (Via Lommelini). The tuna was overcooked, the pasta was cold and the fish was swimming in olive oil. Service was slow, and air con was non exsistent. I left early...
They checked the room number during the breakfast
Well situated for Harbour and Metro. Very good breakfast.
Nice hotel with very good comfort
The room was modern, comfortable and reasonably quiet and the bed was large with plenty of pillows. The staff at the front desk was unfriendly.
Nice bed breakfast was appaling. no room cleaning on last day/night. I reqested a smoking room but got a non smoking room.
Everything was perfect.
amiable reception staff faulty door lock
Absence of noise from outside and from adjacent rooms Absence of a safe box in the room Poor parking facility for bagage unloading at the main entrance
Great breakfast expensive Wifi
Choice of Pillows and bedlinen. Very comfortable bed too!
Can walk to the train station; good breakfast; comfortable beds - and PILLOWMANIA!! No swimming pool.
The staff was nice, the room was clean, we liked the breakfast and the location of the hotel was very good. Parking was expensive (€20/day) and we were not allowed to leave our car in during our visit downtown after check-out
the service and the receptionist were very good
convenient for transfer to airport
Room service staff were excellent. Very helpful. Low prices for room service.
Staff extremely nice and helpful. Very good breakfast. Location location location no
The location is central so within easy reach . I liked the fresh bed sheets. It looks like they changed them every day.. The breakfast spread was also excellent. Its a pity that the bathroom although quite new proved to have a great disadvantage. Whoever put the toilet in the cramped corner in room 318 should seek psychiatric help. To sit on this toilet and I happen to have a large frame one has to slide and bend between the large marble top hand basin whilst brushing your head on the hairdryer hose above you.. Extreemly awkward and uncomfortable. Yet there is also a bidet. Common sense to change the place of these two with one another.
Breakfast Fittings in the room not well thought out. E.g. basin tap not suited to the basin (too short to use properly), shower too small and dirty, light switches difficullt to find at night.
Clean room, good check-in, relaxing. No evening dinner on a Sunday night and room was small but typically italian after saying that
We got excellent value for money - think we actually upgraded. So had a big room, with a separate entrance and a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It was clean, comfortable, very friendly staff... The breakfast room is about 3 times smaller than it should be for a hotel of this size and every morning there are queues of people waiting in the hallway to get in. There is no room service available and you have to go down to the bar and pay for a cup of tea if you want one. A little tea/coffee tray in the room would be very welcome.
Location was fantastic, close to train station and walking distance to stadio luigi Ferrari for football Everything was good we had no complaints
Cleanliness and convenient location
its handy location we had a pre dinner drink in the bar on saturday night, 2 vodka & 1 coca cola, the charge was e24... even compared to london or new york 5 star hotel prices we felt it was scandelous...
Restaurant. Shower power was weak
Very close to the center and well communicated by bus. Muy cerca del centro y bien comunicado en autobús.
OK in general as a 4 star hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean enough. It was worth for price that I payed to stay with the family I booked two rooms under my name through your web site and confirmed by a mail directly to the hotel too, but it was reserved only one room, at last I was at the reception for a half an hour get the other room
location is smply the best if you're up for historical city centre & shopping, soap/shower gel/shampoo in the room were very good))) staff is mostly unfriendly, and honestly this hotel is not like true 4*, more looks like strong 3*. I stayed in a "superior" room, but it is indeed very tiny yet has modern refurbishment and good stylish bathroom
Great location. Breakfast was good. Both rooms had bathtubs, which is a real plus in Europe! The parking garage was a little hard to get to due to one way streets and center city traffic. However, it was plenty roomy for an SUV.
Very good breakfast. Personnels very kind and helpful. It was raining all day :-(
hotel location; comfort and cleanliness of room; helpfulness of staff, quality of breakfast and restaurant lack of internet capability to use my own laptop in room; limnited room service capabilty when we got in at 11:00 PM
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. The room had a bad smell.
Nice reception, clean rooms, good breakfast buffet rooms are small and there was unpleasant smell in the room
Very luxurious suite. Excellent staff service. Very clean. There was even a TV in the bathroom, with a spa bath and separate shower They have the fridge full with minibar items that cant be removed or there is an automatic charge to your bill, and there is no space for your own items. Very annoying but sadly getting more common.
very nice room, large tv, large and plenty of towels, very short bath (impossible to relax), breakfast is served inside (very little sunlight) and the quality of breakfast does not correspond to 5-star hotel (coffee and brioche were disappointing), drinks in bar and room are very expensive, staff is correct but cold and a bit arrogant.
A hotel of style and exquisite taste! Genoa is a delightful blend of the medieval and the modern. Stunning!
The staff could not have been more helpful and the room appointments/facilities etc were superb- Genova is also a wonderful city to visit . The restaurant dinner menu could perhaps benefit from a wider selection , given its 5* aspirations.
Very modern design. Spacious rooms. Good location
Brand new stylish hotel I dropped something in the bathroom and noticed that it was filthy under the wash basin etc
nice room, great bathroom, excellent staff no tea making facilities in the room
The head waiter was very helpful in pointing some interesting place to visit around the area.rooms were acoustically well insulated.mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Signage were not clear for those driving.
Position and quality of hotel
The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. I only stayed at the Bentley for one night but it was a great stay.
The hotel was modern and clean. Our flight arrived late, so it was a good solution until the rental car office opened the following day. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice (with a rain drop shower). Breakfast was decent. The decor in the lobby is a little insipid and the hotel is located in an industrial zone. It is only 5 minutes from the airport.
nicely appointed and good location, breakfast was well done. The room we were given was very small and we had requested an extra bed and there was no way to put one it. So they gave us a bigger room but the window was blocked by a screen from the outside which i guess was put there to obstruct the view of a building and the a/c unit. I think as long as you don't get that room, you'll be fine but the normal double room is quite small.
Great atmosphere, excellent rooms and the antique elevator..beautiful. Very close to harbour, 5 min. drive.
Nostalgic setting and environment with sapcious room that we liked most. Breakfast is good and lots of choices. Location is very convenient to Station Principe, Genova. The windows can hardly be open due to too close to nearby building and no views at all.
So convenient to main station, metro, bus station and maritime station , especially when using 24 hour transport ticket that included shuttle bus from airport to main station. hotel quiet despite proximity to sevices.
Our room was large & very nice. The staff was very pleasant & helpful. Bicycle racing groups took over the hotel & other guests took second place, particularly in restaurant for dinner & breakfast (no other nice restaurants nearby). Neighborhood was a bit questionable (felt a bit uncomfortable walking, even during the daytime) Altho close to the waterfront, the waterfront is all industrial etc. Otherwise, the hotel itself was just fine.
Location is outstanding especially being close to Stazione Principe and great sites such as via Garibaldi. The small and cosy feel to the hotel is attractive; it is not large and impersonal.
Helpful hotel staff
The hotel was comfortable with clean rooms and within a block of the train station. Nice breakfast room. Nothing
very bad internet connection (especially in my room 232). parking service takes too long (we were waiting up to 30 minutes to get our car in the morning)
The buffet breakfast was fit for a queen! There was so much choice of different foods on offer and even included my favourite food, smoked salmon! Also it was convenient to train station and not far to walk to port and other attractions. If you wanted to leave a window open it was quite a busy, noisy area but we wanted to be near train station for convenience.
The decoration and staff, as well the comfort.Good Value
In fact, we chose this hotel because it was close to the highway and we were transiting from Torino to Florence, thru Genova and Pisa; a nice and interesting hotel with large parking, more than decent breakfast – basically, nothing to reproach. A little bit difficult to find if in the night due to an insufficient signalization.
Good location to stay near customer facilities. Easy parking. Extenal laundry service available but I'd like to have a simple ironing possibility at hotel.
Proximity to the place I had to go
Staff professional and friendly Shower head broken
excellent excellent excellent !!!
Clean and very comfort hotel. Stayed there as in a transit point during travelling in Italy by car. Will definitely come there again.
services / facilities poor breakfast
Very good room: clean, comfortable and quite. I also had a nice view out of my window: the window looked on a old church and sometimes I heard church bells ringing. Very relaxing and pleasant. Helpful staff. A bus stop was pretty near where a direct bus to the center could be taken. Free mini-bar in the room. Very expensive internet access.
Very nice, clean, modern. Gym equipment was sub-par. Went to work out with my son. Weights and bench were like a poor home garage set.
Especially staff. The price compared to the quality of the staying is very low. Definitely an advice I am going to give when somebody I know goes to Genova.
Cleanliness of room, lots of space, nice bathroom. You need a car to go somewhere, bad location. It should have a pool at the hotel.
Very silent hotel. Spacious room and bathroom with functional furniture, free satellite TV, free mini bar, perfectly functional air-conditioning system (completely silent), helpful and professional staff. No privacy in the bathroom (glass door), no free wi-fi (very expensive rates), no free parking (although it was easy to park outside the hotel). The breakfast could be better for a 4* hotel.
overall very good price performance the hotel is clean, however, some attention to details needs to improve to get an excellent mark (bathroom)
Easy to get it, very clean and comfortable
Nice, professional staff. Good location when travelling by car, hotel is located directly next to corso Europa (main elevated street in Genova). Good breakfast, but the supply of food is not fast enough when a large group of guests wants to eat at the same time.
Public rooms where beautiful and the location of the hotel was good (5 min. walk to the boulevard) ,with good public transportation to the city center (15 min. bus drive, bus stop in front off hotel). Nice beds and shower. Lady at the check in was not very helpfull and did'nt told anything about things such as times of dinner, breakfast etc. Room was not filthy but also not as clean as you would expect (floor was dirty, sink and table had stains). Some towels were laying on the floor in the bathroom and bathrobes and slippers where missing,we asked twice (!) but didn't got them. And as a 'grand finale' ;in the morning we couldn't get to breakfast!! Not even a cup of coffee....o_O And we saw that not even half of the tables were set..,there was plenty off room, but we had to wait in a line of 6 to 8 people! Now we are not very strenuous, but from our point of view, that's not how it should go in a 4 star hotel...? We canceled the second night...,very pitiable.
Professional service, Nice people, Very clean rooms, nice price Not a lot of parking space! Not easy to find
Perfect position for main areas and accessability to others. Staff were very helpful during trouble a) after bagsnatch b) getting transport to airport during strike. Staff Andrea (all) /Marina/Daniel v good.
the hotel was good value, centrally situated with car parking facilities. we had a number of rooms a the hotel four rooms and we intend to use the hotel again as we come to Genova each year having previuosly used the Jolly Hotel nearby,
Excellent location for old town, shopping, and train station for day trips. Room layout could have been designed a bit better, i.e. work desk too close to bed.
comfortable room, excellent location, helpful staff
Excellent staff. Good location. Family Rooms.
Location of the Hotel, and the Hotel's standart. You get what you expect. Charge for parking was over the top.
The hotel was, clean, friendly, secure and private. I didn't care for the choice of jazz music in the breakfast room. Otherwise, a brilliant hotel in a brilliant city.
This hotel is centraly located in the old part of town but it is set back and difficult to find with no view. Typical old hotel everything you would expect from a building of this perioud.
Location. Very nice in the middle of "old town". Very noisy. Rooms were not soundproof at all.
The room and the bathroom were fairly small but modern and comfortable The hotel was situated in a fairly rough area which made us feel a uncomfortable about going out on foot at night
very close to the center of the city and the train station Very, very hard to find with GPS and a good sense of direction. Small hotel signage at the end of a busy one way street - with very limited parking. Good if you are walking or taking a cab - nightmare if you are driving.
Have good breakfast *It's hard to find the hotel, the hotel is in the china town and no any sign dirction. *Very high parking price (20% of room price), the hotel didn't tell us about it, we thought it was free.
The front desk staff was friendly, knowledgable and very efficient. The guest rooms were comfortable and very clean. Housekeeping staff is outstanding. Excellent selections available for the continental breakfast. Sorry did not see any egg items available. I suggest that the front lobby and reception areas be upgraded to create a positive impression upon arrival. My first impression upon arrival in the lobby area made me question the status and quality of the guest rooms. Fortunately, my overall experience was very positive.
Very friendly and helpful staff at every point during our stay (3 nights). A couple minute walk to the port, main piazza, and restaurants. A block behind is a small ghetto which you may want to avoid but we never had any problems at all and we were out all points of the day.
away from the centre so nice a quite on a night, also not to far to walk for sightseeing. It is ok for use as a base could do with some new carpets
The hotel location is just great (about 1 minute from the central train station). We booked deluxe room and it was very comfortably designed (two levels).
See previous survey from my stay on October 15 to October 18, 2010
We had a great stay!! The food in the restaurant was delicious, the staff very helpful, the quad room was spacious and even had a balcony. Great location for train travellers
The reception people was very helpful and nice. The room was small and the queen bed was made with two individual mattress, it is uncomfortable because you feel the division
Convenient and pleasant. No air-conditioning in the bedrooms at night
Close to train Genova PP
central location, atmosphere, friendliness, good breakfast bit noisy - windows did not seem to cut out the noise - but added to the atmosphere. car parking expensive - space outside the hotel very difficult to access, it would be better to go straight to the car park!
in the center of the city
By far the best hotel I stayed in during my trip in the Riviera. Excellent Air Conditioning.
Everything but not the location. The location and that you cannot find the hotel we search 2 hours to find the hotel we asked a lot of people and we use GPS at all.
Knowledgeable staff making good recommendations. Cleanliness.Provision of umbrellas--it rained heavily Breakfast room needs textiles--- a rug on floor / curtaining to stop the hard sound echoes due to too many hard surfaces in an enclosed room.
Breakfast not excellent
The location was great. The hotel is easy access to city center and seaside. The staffs were very cooperative especially who names Michaeil was very helpful. Thank you.
We liked that it was close to the port where we were embarking on a cruise(as well as the airport)--also, that we could walk to the aquarium. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The room was small and narrow but clean. They would not use our Visa credit card although it was the card we used to reserve the room. Luckily, we had a different card that worked. We were told the taxi ride from airport to hotel would be about 10-15 euro but we were charged 42!! So, get a price below 20 before getting into a cab!
Staff were really good: helpful and friendly. The location is excellant - right in the old port area.
Nice room and good bathroom, friendly staff. Central location in old city. There some problems with the free WIFI but the staff has done their best to solve it. Neighbourhood can be a bit disquiet at night.
Not so good. 1.Access is not so easy for me (one of foreign amateur car driver). 2.PARKING IS CONVENIENT BUT TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME. 3.RESTAURANT CLOSING TIME IS 1 HOUR AHEAD FROM THEIR GUIDANCE IN ROOM,WHICH THEIR EXPLANATION WAS THEY CAN NOT UPDATE THEMSELVES THE LEAFLET THE FRENCH HEAD OFFICE HAS ISSUED.
NO fuss.We just got on with it The position could have been a little more central
Another good stay at this conveniently located hotel. On good bus routes to many parts of the city. Staff great as always and comfortables rooms. Very good value for money compared to other hotels in the city.
Stay a room Restaurant
Children very welcome Pool did not open until 12.00 and was closed for maintenence when went to use it. We have Children, so this was one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel
Comfortable room Rude/apathetic staff, rude restaurant staff, poor restaurant selection both at dinner and breakfast
internet in the room must be free. More russian TV
Close to cruise port
Very good breakfeast, wonderful room and location near of port. Do not have free wireless internet.
Comfort & rooms cleaning Breakfast timing is too short; to be extended to 11 AM
Helpful and courteous staff; central and convenient location; good value. n/a
Style, size and equipment of the room excellent. Place to work and sleep. -
Great location, really helpful and friendly staff, nice thata good breakfast was included.
nice and comfortable rooms friendly staff ,great breakfast they charge my credit card when i did the reservation (15 days before)
Location Room was tiny for such a high price.
Noisy tiny room!
good value for money
Very welcoming, friendly and efficient staff. Ideal central location. Warm, clean and comfortable No
Yes, very much. I would go again.
The hotel is in the corner of Genoa historical "carungi" triangle. It is very comfortable to go and see all the interesting in the historical center of Genoa. And special thanks to the hotel staff for our laguage, which stayed at the hotel during few hours till our depature to the C. Colombo aeroport. There was some auto`s noise from the street.
Clean, new, nice environment.
Rooms were clean and modern, staff was friendly and spoke pretty good english. Very close to airport. In a very industrial area, not much to do in the area and is quite far from the city center. Was over priced for what it was.
staff was very helpful adn courteous. Marina is in a beautiful setting, great little restaurants righ next door. WE got an upgrade room so it was awsome. shuttle to the airpoet workd well. allin all 5 star. oh spa was not up and going yet when we thought it would be. we wished the spa was working... some sort of remodle going on.. nothing else it was great..
Balcony overlooking the marina with the glass sliding doors no
The hotel has 14 rooms and free parking. Seven of rooms over look the Marina in Genova and the other seven overlook Genova Airport runway. If you like yachts of all sizes the Marina Place Hotle is fantastic. The Marina facing balcony also overlooks the City of Genova. The view is breath taking during the day and at night when the city light come on. All the rooms at the hotel are fantastic however, the rooms overlooking the Genova runway may not be your cup of tee. Make sure you ask for the marina facing room when you book the hotel.
proximity to the airport
Close proximity to the station and airport bus. Some of the rooms in the hotel did not have airconditioning which is contrary to what they have advertised on the webpage. The hotel is still under construction especially in the hall way. The lights were so dim that cleaners were made to vacuum in the dark (makes me wonder how clean the place really is). Showers were not functional and water continued to flood the bathroom. The place therefore had a really damp smell. Noise is badly insulated. Reviews from other guests did not reflect any of the above, which was why I had booked this hotel to begin with. Would have looked for alternate hotels if I had known of the above in advance.
Great hotel. Good location, very close to the train station (Genove P.P not Genove Brignole). Clean rooms, very nice staff just ask them anything. Nothing. Everything was great.
not much... leaky shower, noisy, no breakfast, no internet. I could go on
As we were travelling by train we found the Hotel's location very handy to Termini Railway Station. It was also a relatively quiet area which felt quite safe and was close to several restaurants and a mini mart. It was handy for taking hop-on/hop-off bus trips near the railway station and we also were able to walk from here across town to Tivoli fountain, the Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navona. A fair walk but not too difficult. The breakfast had a good choice of fruit, cereals, cold meats etc. It had a good bathroom and the bedroom was double-glazed and quiet. The bed was rather hard! The small reception area for guests looked nice but seating was not very comfortable.
It's very very close to the train station and royal palace. Hotel has been newly decorated and the breakfast room has not been finished. Although the room is facing the street but the window has great effect for noise isolation. The hotel staff is kind and willing to help. The room foe the shower is really really small and you can not even turn around.
There were no facilities for having breakfast at the hotel - probably a temporary feature.
Lacation not good lighteninh in room
location and friendly staff. new clean bathrooms and bedrooms
Great location. Very gentle staff. Very confortable. Great value for money. The windows don´t isolate very well the noise that came from the street.
