I stayed for one night in this dirty motel, and woke up the next morning with about 20 bug bites on my upper torso. They are bed bug bites! Do not stay here! I am traumatized, and am now also worried about inadvertently bringing the bugs into my home. I called the motel and let them know about the bites and bugs, and didn't even get an apology. The person who answered the phone just said, 'ok.'
This place should have been called the Redneck Motel. I stayed during the July 4th holiday. A sign outside says newly remodeled rooms. When? 1970? This place was expensive too. The cost was $ for a 4 nights stay. The beds were old and not comfortable. The carpets were filthy. The curtains and bedspreads were old. They had the Cho Cho bar on the premises. People not from the motel would drink at the bar, use the pool, and barbeque on the grill, then just pack up and leave. Those people were drunk and loud. I did not feel safe their. The only half decent thing was the pool. However it said heated pool and it was cold. So I never got in the pool. It was an absolute waste of time and money. I would never stay their again. I'll spend a little extra and go to a clean and safe motel.
the service was good, and the location to places and events was great
This is a newly renovated motel 6. Rooms are rather Spartan but the decor is attractive - it has kind of a retro 60s feel, albeit with new furnishings. It only has the basics but the basics are remarkably clean and neat; staff is crisp and courteous. Given the price this is remarkably good value. The only bad thing was a very strong cleaning solution odor in the room when I first came in. This dispersed after I left the door open for a few minutes (or maybe I just got used to it).
