State of the art hotel. Sleak design. Large rooms and beds (!!), which meets up to date standards easy. Pleasant professional and international staff.
very efficient staff- rooms very comfortable and surprisungly quiet for location. - bar food excellent. On settling bill on deparure given small bottle water- nice and inexpensive touch; shuttle bus to 02 a big plus for concer goers
I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and they have never disappointed me. Clean, Friendly and handy if travelling from the north of Dublin. Nothing
Good car parking facilities. Fast check-in/out. Breakfast very good value. Room card key malfunctioned. Needed replacement. Room TV remote did not work properly.
Have stayed there a few times and it gets better each time.Really high quality.should b 5 star.everything about it is of the highest quality.full satellite, bath and shower are seperate. staff are extremely friendly unlike many other hotels
Our bathroom looked like it had never been used it was so clean. The room was spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Bar was busy and comfortable. Our remote in the room for the t.v wasnt working,
beds very small. Did not seem to be double
The staff were excellent would recommend it to anyone
room was clean, bed nice, big fact that breakfast wasnt included in the price, €190 for one night a bit steep with nothin included, if you did want breakfast it was €17.50, crazy
Free car park, free wifi, free plug and play internet in the rooms. The rooms were of average size but the beds were one of the best i've slept in and I do a lot of travelling. As I booked an executive room, it came with a free drink at the bar and free movie which I didnt know about when booking so that was nice. Ex rooms had access to the Ex lounge which had all your typical teas and coffees, snacks etc. Good for meeting prep or even informal meetings. Staff were very friendly it has to be said from management right down to the bar staff which is always a good sign. Contential breakfast was included in the price of the room, yet were still offered the full irish at 9.95 extra a head, even though there was a sign saying that the full irish was 9.95 anyway. No reduced prices for an 'upgrade' breakfast. Check in was a bit slow but was busy so cant complain.
Amazing stay. Upgraded to a lovely suite. Service superb.
It was a beautifully designed hotel lack of facilities, the gym itself was terrible, some of the staff were not as friendly as the others.
What a fantastic hotel. it is truly stunning and has a romantic feel. So much to look at, it has a stylish modern look that works well with the original castle. The furnishings are beautiful and comfortable through out. Take a look on line at the photos and that is exactly what you get. Everything is of a good standard. The food is lovely but breakfast was a pre prepared buffet and not over hot. In that respect quite expensive when not being cooked to order. I would recommend the evening restaurant as the food is of a high standard and the Proseco was one of the nicest I have ever had. However, do keep your wits about you when the bill is presented. Check it carefully as mistakes do happen. The staff are friendly, attentive and work very hard. one of my party complained the bed in there room needed upgrading.
Hotel was very good and as depicted on your site, food was superb if the service at first was a bit haphazard, staff kept getting our names wrong- a bit embarrassing for us. Hotel staff not very efficient - had ordered champagne to be in room on arrival - it was not despite reception telling me at check in that it was - had arranged to have guests in for dinner and could not reserve a table in the bar and one other bar was 'reserved for a private function' but was remarkably empty and dark despite the bar being very busy. Newspapers ordered were not delivered and when queried was told that this paper was not available on a Sunday - not true - when pushed they agreed to go out for one, reluctantly.
beautiful building, friendly staff, great dinner although breakfast was a bit disappointing but in all an amazing accomodation, really recommend, IF you can get a good rate package which we did it is a little bit outside of the city centre however good connection by bus available and the benefit of being away from the noice of the night life which is what so many people complained about in other hotel reviews. in all very happy we chose this hotel!
Room at front with a view When we arrived at our room it was cold. the air conditioning was on. we found the "manual" difficult to follow. we had to call a member of staff to change the mode to "heat" and it took quite a while to heat up, bearing in mind that it was really cold outside. during the winter months the room should be warm on arrival to make it more inviting and comfortable. once this was sorted for us, it was great.
Contempory mix of classic charm, modern fittings and great atmosphere in busy bar.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Clontarf Castle!! The rooms were beautiful, the food was exquisite, the services at your hotel were fab!! We are currently living in Moscow, Russia, and this holiday was a perfect "get away" for us!! Your staff was so helpful - We didn't receive our laundry from another castle in Scotland, and your staff helped us retrieve it! Very kind!! We loved everything!
the staff could be more helpful, had to ask for things more than once, which was a bit annoying.
It was beautifully decorated for Xmas which added to the ambience. A really magical place to stay. Although it is out of town the no 130 bus drops you off right on the corner of the hotel. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants so we can't comment on them. Really good value for money if you can get a good deal- I can't wait to go back at easter!!! Only a shower in our room but because we only stayed for one night it wasnt a problem
