General athnosphere, good location. friendly staff Additional cost of breakfast. Breakfast not included in booking price. Breakfast was an additional Eur20.00 per person
its location and the friendly staff also the breakfast buffet was excellent the bedrooms were very hot with no way of controling temperature
The room service staff very really nice and friendly and efficient. The bathroom was not particularly clean upon arrival. Also, the reception staff were not very motivated or friendly.
The room was clean and had all I needed. I liked having the facility to make tea and coffee in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

no critical remarks, indeed
Location, room size. I would stay again, now I know how to find the place. We travelled by car and found it almost impossible to find the entrance. By foot it would have been easy. We were given very many wrong directions. No AC
Hotel was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful at all times resolving a few difficulties I encountered. The bathroom fan came on continuosly during the night. I was transfered to another bedroom and hotel discounted bill by 40%.
The room was excellent.
Basic Hotel, would not deem it luxury
Bar area,nice ambience,relaxing
we requested lowest floor possible and were placed on the ground floor which was excellent. ease of parking below the hotel.good breakfast. our only problems were at breakfast. 1) limited selection of juice. I prefer tomato and only apple/orange offered. 2) the self service toast machine caused a bottleneck.
location to RDS
located close to where I had business. Breakfast not included, €11.00 for a continental breakfast is too much, also I wanted a couple of poached eggs but was told I had to go to another restaurant in the hotel for these as the one I was in did not do hot food!
Location and standard of room Breakfast was very poor standard and selection - Irish Breakfast at €12
it was easily accessable from city one person in restaurant was quite rude to myself and another lady while getting a table for breakfast
Very helpful staff.very clean and comfortable.Nice relaxing atmosphere.Excellent food.
Rooms were standard. Towels in bathroom were grey from over washing instead of white.
The room was spacious and clean. The food served in the bar was excellent and the bar staff were very friendly. The staff at the front desk were not helpful (I tried to get directions to get out of the city and they were most unhelpful and quite rude). The room was nice and spacious, but the extra bedding provided as part of the 'family room' was of very poor standard and very unconfortable. If you stay in this hotel do not accept room 127, it's just beside a can/water machine and main entrance to rooms and it was terribly loud up until 3 or 4 am. Perhaps our experience would have been different if we happened to be in a different room.
Professional staff, fabulous bedroom, beautiful building. That I forgot to book breakfast!
The hotel was absolutely beautiful! Great Staff and so affordable. I am a student traveling and this hotel was awesome and I have pretty high standards :) It was a slight bus ride to the center of town but that was only a pound or so it wasnt that hard at all
The staff were friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. I stayed in the towers and felt that some parts of the room were a little run-down (the shower curtain for example). It was also a little errir walking from the lobby to the tower rooms. So many parts of the hotel are un-used and unlit.
Great location; Large clean rooms; friendly, helpful staff; Good value for money. Very slow albeit friendly service in "The Dubliner Bar"
Hotel staff are extremely helpful. For us the location of the hotel is most pleasing as it is near the city centre for shopping, theatre and such facilities and amenities I do not like the additional charges for example €10.50 per night car parking, charges for internet , this in my view distorts the real charge
Brreakfast was very nice. Information in the guide provided was very helpful as to orientation. Centre of town location allowed us to walk to all of Kilkenny's attractions, shopping and eating district Grounds room and location were excellent. I can't think of any.
Large rooms with comfortable beds , nice bar , deli that served great fresh food and a good sized supermarket within the hotel . Great for stocking up on beers before you go out as its 4 -5 Euros a pint in the City for Guiness and more for Lager . Overall tho a cheap place to stay near Dublin . Hotel is on the large side so its a bit of walk to your room once out of the lift , a fridge in the room would have been good ( we used the bath to keep the beers cold ) , internet is overpriced at 1 Euro for only 8 minutes much cheaper in city for internet . The distance to the city seems more than a mile when you walk it everyday but theres plenty of buses for 1.60 Euro or a taxi is 8-10 Euros . Caught the aircoach from the hotel to the airport for 8 Euros .
very close to city centre, and very reasonable prices the food was terrible
I stayed here with my wife and daughter the night before the Ireland / Argentina rugby international. We booked last minute and got a family room and they looked after us for a baby sitter. The place was busy and had a nice buzz to it. There was always a taxi outside and good on site parking. Breakfast was potentially chaos the next morning but the staff did a great job getting everyone through. Great value for money. Bar was busy but well staffed. It isn't the prettiest of hotels but given the location and value for money, I am not complaining.
Handy to city centre, excellent restaurant no room service
Overall a pleasant stay. The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean. The resturant was excellent and the long cold drinks even better. Amongst the reviews for the hotel it was sai that there were no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms, this was not the case. We had a problem with the booking when we arrived, we had asked for a smoking room but none were available. The first room we stayed in had a problem with the room alarm which was set off by steam from the shower. We were moved to a different room (smoking) but unfortunately had the same problem. But all in all these were minor blips, we were pleased with the overall quality of the hotel.
Nice hotel in a quiet residential area. No heat in room - system was not working during our 24 hour stay.
very good value for money 99. euro. in dublin for 99 euro i missed the extra comforts in rooms but what diid i expect for rate...
I was impressed with main reception who checked with the other person I was travelling with prior to letting me into my room.He was courteous and professional and it was very reassuring that you pay this level of attention to detail.I had just come from a paintballing session in Cork and was looking a bit worse for wear :-).Staff were very welcoming.
Rooms were huge, staff was totally on point, the indoor pool was an unexpected benefit. Bar is busy most times, it's fun to hang out at the hotel. Location isn't ideal for tourists. It's a 30-45 walk from most major destinations, and cabs are pricey. Otherwise, stay was perfect.
Outstanding customer service, spacious well appointed but not pretentious interiors The swimming pool is too small and the bath in the rooms is too short.
Room very big, clean, quiet. Nice location Staff were all very nice, but seemed like they needed training, particularly in the restaurant. Often no one attending the lobby, at check in, or concierge. On check out, no-one asked how was the stay, and not even to-go coffee available (which is almost standard expectation these days, even in lower quality hotels). Tried calling room service & was told they would call me back, after 10 mins I called them back to say don't bother. Breakfast is really expensive, supposed to start at 7am .. I wanted an omlette ... Was told by waitress that I needed "to ask the omlette guy" at the buffet , he didn't show up til 720am. I asked him if I could have toast with the omlette, he said "you need to ask the waitress" ... It was more Fawlty Towers than Four Seasons
Wonderful service and beautiful decor. Lovely to be upgraded on arrival as well. Really enjoyed my very relaxing breakfast.
The incredible service and Staff Hospitality. All the staff we cam in to contact with were exceptional and made our stay a memorable occasion. Nothing
staff where very accommodating, always willing to help. Facilities where excellent, location was ideal.
Location Room a little cluttered with furniture, lighting very dull in room
I loved the room...it was large and comfy and so clean...and beautiful! The hotel is very fanciful, like a persian dream meets I dream of genie...wonderful to experience...the restaurant is amazing for dinner and breakfast...just a gourmet delight! I wasn't sure at first about the location, but believe, after sight seeing and shopping, the quiet street in the quiet neighborhood is a blessing!
The surroundings and facilities had a real luxurious feel about them which made the stay special We did have a problem with a smell from the air conditioning. As soon as this was pointed out the staff resolved the issue promply and extremely couteously.
Everyone was very helpful
I liked the opulent furnishings and quiet areas available within i thought the room was quite small and the ensuite did not have sufficient room for toiletries
Really liked this hotel's retro, cool n' cosy factor. Loved the quirky decor, modern but warm, attention to the minutest of detail, even the receptionist uniform black with red sash @ the hip, open a year yet still feels fresh & new. Location-wise city centre within walking distance & RDS the same, handy for us as we had a concert the night of our stay. Breakfast overpriced. Otherwise no complaints.
This hip and edgy boutique hotel makes a boldly stylized statement with its' seemingly "Beetlejuice" inspired modernistic decor (that may not be for everyone), but we found it warm and welcoming. The staff was exceptionally personable and accommodating and went out of their way to make certain we were comfortable. The 3 or 4 story Georgian inspired townhouse row is in a quiet neighborhood that's close enough to most attractions yet not too off the beaten path.
Great service, cool bar.
The bed is incredibly comfortable and the room was stylishly decorated. The shower was great and the smellies provided were top-quality. Staff were very friendly and chatty. It's very hard to justify paying the expensive price now that value for money can be obtained elsewhere. However if you are treating yourself it is definitely worth it!
the hotel and bar area was first class, very lovely ambience our room was tatty, paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling and dirty marks in the rest of the room, it was a real disappointment for an hotel of this standard
Great staff No bad points for the hotel
had to pay at the bar, for food and in the hotel as not the company
Could'nt find it when searching.
Nothing When we arrived our twin room was not available......broken lock, moved to a double room. No tea making facilities, had to request these three times before a kettle, coffee, and cups arrived. No writing material, no local directory, no room service menu did have 'dog eared' print outs from a web site lying on a table. One bath towel and hand towel, one shampoo and one shower gel.Breakfast was bad
how quiet and calm the hotel was
the staff were very welcoming and nice. the room was very comfortable and warm, the bathroom was up to date and very clean. the breakfast was cooked to order, and was very good.
House was warm staff helpful and breakfast was very good No
We would be hard pressed to find fault with the Ariel House Hotel. Its proximity to the rds (Rod Stewart concert) was our reason for choosing to stay here, and it didn't disappoint. The full Irish breakfast was unusual (as regards the new potatoes), but it was a delicious meal to start the day with. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful if they had tried. I have already recommended the Ariel House Hotel to one other person and I shall most definitely be staying there again and shall put a link to the hotel on my own website at www.sligotown.net
Excellent value, good location, friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Spacious comfortable room. Got parking space but if hotel was full that might be a problem
Excellent service, very polite staff and very good breakfast.
The hotel is in a great location especially if you are going to the Aviva Stadium, it's within walking distance. Beautiful hotel, staff were very friendly. Breakfast was outstanding!!
In every respect all you could possibly want in accomodation for a Dublin holiday plus good location and access to public transport (Dart) Directions on booking confirmation only covered travel from the airport (by bus). Directions for car drivers would have been helpful. Also mentioning Ballsbridge in the address rather than just d4 may have helped pinpoint the location on a map.
The staff—Ceclia, Owen, Tracy, Luisz and others—were friendly and always helpful. The breakfast offerings were wonderful, served with friendly grace and style by Dalva, Lidija, and Allesandra. I’ll be honest: we attended a wedding at the Mount Juliet near Thomastown, and the food was better at Ariel House. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Located in the quiet suburb of Ballsbridge, Ariel House is convenient to the DART and the Aviva Stadium, and there are some nice restaurants nearby, notably the Old Spot and the Lobster Pot. (At the latter, Michael Garlant will serve you with old-world elegance and 21st Century friendliness and wit.) Wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll be back.
All staff extremely helpful and attentive. Gave useful information about visiting Dublin and easiest way to get into the centre from the hotel. Delicious breakfast. Very spacious rooms. None
Large room, good breakfast
Staff v pleasant food v good No 2nd cup in room or flannels - no safe and the staff were under the impression that each room had one !
Excellent location and very helpful staff left us definately considering staying there again. Good Experience.
We were allowed to check in at 9am as a room was free (first come first served basis). We were upgraded to executive. The staff were very helpful. Being overlooking the park was lovely. Very convenient for RDS. Complimentary bottle of water bedside. Bed very comfortable and big. Safe in the room. Minibar fridge in room. Availability of ironing board/iron.. Shoe shine equipment available A tray charge of £6.50 for room service. We were near hallway doors which banged every time they were used which was noisy at night. No tea/coffee making facilities
Very comfortable and relaxing
We loved the brightness and the cleanliness of the whole Hotel. Just one fault and that was the pillows - we both found them very uncomfortable - we like to sink into something soft. I understand some like hard pillows. All in all the Hotel was a very pleasant place to stay in and we will be back pg.
The room was spacious and well-designed. There is no tea and coffee making facility in the rooms which is ridiculous for a 4-star hotel.
It is an excellent location , clean and friendly, Parking could be an issue to look at as we found it frustrating to get a space, and no manpower on the ground. The parking issue
What i liked about staying in this hotel was the location not far from the city centre or from Dundrum Yes both myself and my partner were very disappointed with the breakfast the food was bland and it wasnt good value for money. Lack of tea / coffee facilites in the room.
Friendly and professional I'm Irish and we like our tea... the one thing it didn't have in the room was tea/coffee making facilities
I liked the comfortable bed. I dint like that there was no iron in the room, and also parking wasn't great.
Very conveniently situated hotel with helpful staff. It was a winter wonderland when the snow fell. Excellent breakfasts. Having to pay to keep the car in the carpark.
Liked the location, accessibility to the city, both walking and taxis, buses etc. Important that noise level of traffic lowered at night.
Location, location, location! Ideally situated beside the dart, and next door to the Aviva stadium. Easy to drive to, ample car parking, and lovely staff.
Good location Staff were not friendly. They provided an adequate service but a smile costs nothing !
Everything was OK but only OK. Some staff really smiley & helpful. For price & situation I would stay again. The rabbit warren of corridors. Uncomfortable & squeaky bed. Some staff not really engaging with their customers.
Hotel room was clean, tidy and well laid out No
Easy access to RDS, rooms nice, great price
Excellent, friendly staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good value for money. Distance from the city centre
Friendly and welcoming staff......extremly clean hotel very under-rated...excellent food.....very comfortable hotel in an excellent central location
we arrived at the hotel very late on sunday night and were delighted to find that the restaurant was still serving food from their extensive menu and not just snacks
pleasant hotel handy for aviva stadium i
Nice location The rooms were tiny (more like a bed & breakfast) and didn't look anything like the rooms advertised on their website.
Friendly Staff & pleasant atmosphere
Staff were friendly and gave us a good Irish welcome. Room was good size and clean, and food was great The bar lacked some atmosphere.
Great location, beautifully adapted old schoolhouse building which has historic interest and architectural merit. Quiet and comfortable room and excellent food. We found the last night very expensive - due to U2 performing locally.
The staff went out of their way to make our visit outstanding in Dublin. The room was much better than expected. The location was central enough to walk to most downtown areas, but out of the way enough to be quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was full service if desired, and had and interesting selection to keep the long stay traveler interested. The "pub" was staffed with a great group of people who took the time to make you feel welcome and to reccommend some great Irish whiskey selections! I found nothing not to like about this hotel. Even when there were small problems, the staff made sure it did not interfer with our plans or time frames.
Not overheated, as so many hotels are. And a very comfortable bed. Nothing.
location to city centre is ideal. Hotel has got charm and very inviting and relaxing.
very helpful staff, most of them local which gave an 'Irish' feel to the place and also lovely breakfasts.
It was very relaxed and comfortable. Different than most hotels small and personal and a really nice place to stay The noise in the pipes when the shower was in use in every room
This hotel is oozing character and thats what makes it so special. From the cozy fires in the bar to the spectacular ceilings of the dining/breakfast room, it really is a different experience to most hotels these days. The bedroom we chose was a delux one and it was extremely spacious and the bed was just enormous. The breakfast served was top class, plenty of choice and beautifully presented. All in all a wonderful experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. My only negative was that the pillows were a little hard.
Very professional, friendly, competent and helpful front desk and great wait staff at the restaurant. Fabulous and generous breakfasts and excellent food for every meal. Comfortable room. Excellent wi-fi. Very small point: could have had more drawer storage.
Excellent food, friendly staff, airport bus stopped outside and easy to get to main attractions.
Handy location to city centre, easy charm and friendly staff. The rooms are well equiped, furnished well and cosy. The bed was large, but the mattress a bit firm for my liking. The food was rustic and plentiful and good value for money. The restaurant was cold and drafty with a 'musty' smell due to the old timbers. There wasn't much of an atmosphere as only a handful of people dined whilst we were there. The breakfast staff were slow and inefficient - tables were not cleared, food not replenished at the buffet table and you had to ask for everything, milk, spoon, toast etc. And it wasn't that busy!
Everything, the hotel is very cosy, all the staff is very nice and friendly, the breakfast is fantastic, they have this home made bread which is delicious, I did like every single thing in that hotel. I would prefer a bigger room, the rooms are small, but good enough for a short stay.
Friendliness&helpfulness of staff
It is a clean, comfortable and nicely decorated (small) hotel with a very friendly and obliging staff. In addition, although not in the city centre, it is in attractive surroundings and is only 15 or so minutes walk away from the main attractions. The main bus routes are close by and the nearest DART station was two minutes away, giving fast access to the centre and to stations to the south.
The whole ambience of the hotel. The wonderfully friendly staff and in particular Cecilia.
Fantastic place to stay at. made feel very welcome by friendly and very helpful staff. will return again !
Friendliness on staff and the room was fab!
Friendly helpful staff great location.Hotel with real character. We arrived early about two and a half hours before check in time which was no problem they gave us coffee while we waited for our room.
Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Hotel is very nice. We will stay again.
Murray mints and the atmosphere and attention of staff. The room had a design feature where the back of the bed had a yellow canopy behind it but this actually covered a window which at six in the morning became a bright lamp into the room.
This is a wonderful townhouse to stay in for a couple or nights in Dublin. We stayed as we were at a concert nearby and it was ideal. The staff are welcoming from the time you arrive. We were offered complimentary tea/coffee in the drawing room on check in which is a lovely touch. It is in quiet location and you can be relieved that you will not be disturbed by noisy stag/hen parties as in many city hotels! The breakfast is freshly cooked with fresh baking also and the best we have had of many places.I We would highly recommend Butler's.Book it!
Quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown and all the tourist destinations. Big bathroom, updated room Bed was very uncomfortable
the car park at the front of the hotel was a great plus. It was a pleasure to stay here. My room was extremely comfortable and big. The whole hotel was very nicely presented. Free WiFi was good. Only 6 mins drive into Dublin Centre, easily walkable.
great location, friendly staff, very trendy decor, asked for room service breakfast the next morning, we were asked to pay on the spot instead of including it in our overall bill
Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Breakfast was great. No WI FI in rooms. Bar staff not overly friendly.
everything- the bathroom was amazing really luxurious. also the receptionist was superb- especially as my mother fell ill during this time and she could not do enough to help us. I have never experienced service of this standard.
The hotel was the best we have stayed in, the room was just fantastic the staff were very friendly and helpful No complaints
Very friendly staff, good service, nice room
Had a great stay at the hotel, staff were lovely and even had our room ungraded! Only thing, I wouldn't suggest getting breakfast in the hotel, my partner (6'4', big lad) ordered pouched eggs and got one tiny egg and a piece of bacon, definitely not enough to fill him!
It was ideally located, close to the RDS. I was also very good value for money. Not really.
I thought the room was very comfortable, very quiet and very nicely decorated. the service was excellent, staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Nothing.
it was friendly and cosy in a very stylish way.food was good and staff were courteous and welcoming.looking forward to horse show next year when we hope to stay again... no
The staff in reception were very helpful and friendly and the location was in walking distance to the town centre which was good for site seeing. Buses also went right past the door and into the town. The small village nearby had a good range of restaurants and pubs too.
The staff were most polite & helpful . No
the staff were very nice. not so much that we didn't like it, but it didn't seem to have the 'extra touches' one would expect of a four star hotel
Having check in at 1am on Monday morning was a bit of a gamble to get a decent room. But I was actually given a superb room with mezzanine living room. Look like a mini suite to me. Very good room indeed. The breakfast was also very good with choice of omelette made upon request with no extra to pay. maybe the noise of the street. I thought windows could be more isolated from the noise.
The hotel was very convenient for our trip. The rooms were very well presented. I would have liked the price to include breakfast.
location - breakfast - secure parking - qulaity of room & furnishings
Staff was great, food was outstanding and the premises just right I liked everything
Pembroke is a beautiful hotel, we enjoyed our stay there very much, it is prettily decorated, has knowlegable and helpful staff -well, maybe some more than others-, and is very very clean. We recommend it for sure. Ballsbridge is not so close to the center, keep that in mind if you're on foot, it's like 20 mins or more. However,it's a safe area, so there's no need to be afraid to walk, even late at night.
The room was a little small. The TV was very small and stationed high above ontop of the closet. Ice!-for drinks-must be a rare thing in Ireland.
Friendly & helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great breakfasts- a great place to stay!
Parking was very safe & staff were most helpful & polite.
I thoroughly enjoyed the location, and the breakfast, great value
The location is fab! Rooms are so luxurious! Huge beds! Bathroom was to die for! Couldn't of asked for better and prices so reasonable!
Construction work on going close to hotel. Noise day and night
Pleasant staff, convenient location, comfortable hotel. Price of breakfast!
location very good room 525 has to be the noisest room i have ever stayed in. like a constant loud air conditioning unit about to blow up
The hotel is (located in a peaceful area and) within walking distance of city center and there's secure private parking for residents and 24hr petrol station directly across the road from the hotel. No airconditioning in the rooms...not usually a problem in Ireland is Irish weather tends to be cold. However, the weekend I stayed, it was very sunny and the lack of aircon was very much noticed!
Convenient location with modern facilities. I did not have breakfast but it was offered at a reasonable rate as was the room itself.
A very convenient location, close to Dublin City centre. Lovely staff. An oversight by housekeeping meant our room wasn't replenished and we almost ran out of loo roll!
large executive suite
It was close to the city centre and close to where the conference was held. Some of the restaurant staff were extremely nice and they offered a personalised service. The food was very good despite being a 3 star hotel. The hotel needs some maintenace in the corridors. The lobby area and restaurant seemed recently done though.
Convenient location. Noisy early morning deliveries from carpark.
Free off street parking, lovely decor and surroundings, good security, great location, very helpful staff, convenient lift, spacious and well-appointed room. Nit-picking, i would have liked a little fridge in the room.
Excellent service, very quiet atmosphere, good breakfast in a very bright breakfast-room, brilliant broadband for free and really good location. Overall, good value for money.
Friendly staff; nice bathroom; The bed wasn't very comfortable
pleasant staff ,close to Aviva stadium for Michael buble concert no restaurant
Comfortable, very nice breakfast with good food and selection. Very convenient to conference at hotel. Good parking. King room could have used additional comfortable seating.
The location was great, in the city centre. Close to all the busyness of town, but at the same time very quiet.
Great Location. Lovely Spacious room. Excellent Irish breakfast included in the nightly rate.
Up for the match and Tipperary won, lucky place!
Ideal location for visting the city- can easily walk to stevens green, RDS 5 mins walk away plus right across from bus route. Owner and staff very friendly, helpful and obliging n/a
Staff was very helpful in allowing us to print our airline boarding passes for the next day's flight. They also were very helpful in recommending local sites and offering directions. They even offered an umbrella to keep us out of the rain Sound from other rooms--plumbing, voices--seemed abnormally loud compared to other B & B's we stayed at during our trip. Not necessarily obnoxious, but enough so we were aware of the activity.
It is a lovely house with lots of charm. Breakfast was outstanding as it was the warmth of the staff. I recommend amply.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, lovely accomodations, comfortable rooms The accomodations were excellent.
Staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was excellent and plentifull.
staff very friendly
Very friendly and helpful staff; Very good breakfast; Very high standard of cleanliness; Hotel has character; Close to railway station Bed pillows were too firm.
Clean relaxed hotel with a very nice decor.
Fantastic customer service. Very friendly and welcoming staff. N/A
Very warm reception from owner, with helpful tips on travel, restaurants etc.. Ideal for travel to centre of town.Very pleasant large rooms.
Staff delightfully friendly, helpful, and efficient. Hotel located in very attractive suburb, with easy access to city.
Lovely breakfast, super comfortable bed, very pleasant and friendly staff. Decor very nice. Tea and biscuits on arrival was great. no bar facilities.
Staff were very disorganised. They didn't appear to be ready for breakfast - ran out of food. Ordered food the night we stayed and had to wait over an hour for 2 caesar salads so cancelled our order
Rooms are big and well kept It is not so close from the center.
Staff very friendly & helpful when required. Enjoyed our breakfasts. Just one small thing....found the room very warm & with the window open (for fresh air) it could at times be noisy from traffic. Air conditioning would be great.
location to Aviva Stadium was excellent
easy check in, good food facilities, parking, no air conditioning in rooms, no face clothes in bathrooms
The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great central location. No quiet residents bar to have a nite cap. The only bar was noisy and busy. The view from the bedroom window was of a dirty untidy back yard loaded with bar rubbish.
Beds were comfortable.Hotel was not located near the City Center. Wifi did not work in our Room. There was no Shuttleto or from Airport - Hotel. There was no Air controls inside our room, our Room was stuffy. Hotel was not near the City Center. V
got to hotel while there was a match on.told there was free parking but all spaces had been taken. had to park on the street ,parking should be reserved for guests after all i had been told there wud be free parking ,that is why i booked the hotel
TV and the CD/MP3 player in the room Very expensive internet connection
The receptionist that checked us in was fantastic-very helpful and mannerly. Room was lovely and couldn't fault it. The service at the breakfast was appalling as the food was slopped on the plate with no thought given to presentation-very off putting to have everything piled high on a plate and then beans poured over it! Staff were very unhelpful during the breakfast-with tea/coffee service and cutlery issues.
Simple room. Much lower price then other hotels in Dublin. A bit far (a lil over a mile) from the city center/things to do, but walkable or quick easy taxi ride.
Nice rooms, well kitted out. Very noisy at night. Too expensine for its level of service
The staff were very welcoming and the location was perfect for me. Very easy to find and the free parking was definitely a plus. I was on a business trip where times was of the essence so it would have been more convenient to have been able to have had room service.
The selection of breakfast was much better than I expected. They gave me a great deal of value for money.
Nice place, lots of plants, silence. I do not like english-style sink with two separate taps. That is not convenient.
All what you need, incl breakfast, nice people Quite expensive for basic room, 30 min. walk from center, no minibar Huge key to carry with you all the time (because of frontdoor)
A smile or two would have been welcome
A 4 star breakfast, excellently served. slight problem with tv freezing programs every now & then....frustrating
Location and room Breafast. No bowls ,no tea cup ,no black pudding , no newspapers
I liked comfort, old-fashioned rooms; feeling like home, buses near, good information booklet found in the room. Some of the hotel staff really kind. I missed a plan of the city, time-table for buses. Food is very old-fashioned (not for healthy eaters), but goes with the traditional style. The hotel is close to the busy road and it's not written. I ,f.ex. would ask for a room not looking at the main road - if I would have known it. On their website it was mentioned that there's an airport transfer, which was not true - also the lady at the airport checked it and saw it and I told it to the hotel staff so that they need to take it off.
Lovely rooms and excellent breakfast n/a
The room was very clean and the sauna a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the breakdast excellent. A very comfortable hotel. There was nothing I didn't like. The room could have been a bit bigger but neverthless it was comfortable and well appointed.
You get a warm welcome to the Roxford Lodge. Staff where exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and well presented. Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, sauna, spa bath TV & DVD player all in room. Nice to see a hotel that has fresh white linen on the bed. Location is very quite and for those up for walking its only 10 mins away from Grafton Street. Would highly recommend this hotel. Please note I think we where the only guests in the hotel, due to "volcanic ash disruption" other guests had cancelled. Perhaps this was why we got such a warm welcome, but I'm not complaining!!!!
Friendly, accommodating staff. Quiet, safe location for independent traveller. Constantly providing tea with a smile!
The hotel was very nice - each room has a sauna and spa tub, as well as gated parking in the back. The Ballsbridge section of Dublin that it is in is lovely - much quieter than center Dublin, but walking distance to pubs, restaurants, tour bus stops and parks. We loved the location and hotel and will definitely stay there again!!
the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.the hotel was kept to a very high standard and the food was excellent.it was in easy walking distance of both the rds arena and the city centre. i do not have anything negative to say about the roxford lodge.
nice surroundings and very clean
Great room, spa baths was an added bonus 30 minute walk to town. Buses aren't frequent enough to town.
excellent friendly professional staff, great location, beautiful breakfast
staff friendly/helpful-room/hotel comfortable, offered complimentary tea or coffey even though facility was also in the room,a selection of dvd's in the room, free parking, bus outside the door brings one to/from city centre in a short time, very good value.
Excellent staff and accomodations. Bathroom was rusty and moldy.
