Brand new, modern design, nice lobby area patio & restaurant. Quiet rooms, pretty comfy. Saw a few comments referencing The Art as a 5 star in the category of Ritz & Four Seasons... not quite that nice, it's a solid 4 star hotel.
Customer service was amazing - every employee we interacted with was super helpful
Room was clean. The nightclub pounds music until 2am 2 doors down. We had a small infant with us and for some reason the front desk clerk put us on the side of the building closest to the club even after requesting a quiet room....we would've requested to change but by the time we figured out where the music was coming from it was 10pm.
Good breakfast options, walkable to downtown in good weather, staff orders taxis, which arrive quickly. All the many staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. I didn't care for having to walk on outdoor balconies to get to room--Denver is cold this time of year! Heaters are window boxes (like A/C), not very efficient, noisy all night. Room keys get demagnetized too quickly, I kept having to go back thru the cold to the front desk to demagnetized key.
The desk girl. Everything. Never return bad neighbourhood rooms were dirtier then the streets. Paid for my room an left that day to a cleaner more reliable hotel. Not even worth 50 cents a night.
Enjoyed the location! Affordable and great value for what you get! Did not like the fact that they do not except debit cards. Also they make a manager go and expect the room before you can receive your deposit back. May not be the place 2 stay if your a regular business traveler.
It was close to the events I wanted to attend. The bathroom had no ventilation and the shampoos, soaps and lotions had been previously used. They we also very skimpy on the towels. There's a significant homeless population all around the hotel.
Most everything. -Bright lights coming through the windows, with curtains that cannot black it out. -Breakfast selection/layout is fairly lacking.
We picked it because it was affordable for a one night stay in Denver before our morning flight. It is close to downtown so you can walk wherever you need to go. Room was in good condition. It was right next to the 7/11 gas station which consisted of about 6-10 homeless people sitting about 3 feet from our vehicle. We had one come up us asking for money when we were leaving early in the morning. Also the elevator smelled of vomit and/or pee. We proceeded to then only use the stairs.
The staff were friendly and helpful and arranged for me to change rooms when the safe did not work in my room.
Lots of electricity in the air with the concerts going on and the night life That we were there for 4 days wish I could stay longer
The location was great, hotel, for the most part, was clean, and staff was nice. Found a tick in the bed which staff didn't do anything about, shower/tub facet had a leak and wouldn't cut off completely, and the maid service wasn't the best.
The staff were friendly. The location seemed unsafe. Homeless people lingered around the hotel. The room itself wasn't filthy, but I wouldn't consider it terribly clean either.
Nothing Parking lot too small if you have a full sized pick up. Shower broken, towel rack broken, still had garbage in the room, safe didn't work. Noisy area, sirens, people yelling or fighting all night. Appeared to be a few drug deals just outside the parking lot fence. Bum asking for money in the parking lot and then becoming aggressive and police had to be called. Didn't seem like a very good part of town
The history of hotel is great!
Location was pretty good. Staff are friendly. Price! Way too expensive for such a hostel. I'm not sure what the justification is for $30 a night for an 8 dorm room. There must be very low and high seasons. Some really, really stinky patrons. Never smelled so bad and slept so poorly because of certain guests. Maybe that's not at the fault of the hostel, but they should have solutions readily available. The bunk beds were the most basic and extremely cheap. The mattress often slid off the frame. Only 1 shower for an entire floor of dorms. That was more than 50 people sharing 1 shower!
we walked in for a room. quite a scary lobby but I saw it was cheap and we would only be resting until morning. unfortunately my partner lost her ID so we couldn't stay. we never entered the room and only had the key for less than 5 minutes. they were rude and wouldn't return my money.
LITERALLY, NOTHING. ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. SO BAD I SLEPT ELSEWHERE. NOT KIDDING.
It was quiet and nobody bothered me. I had a single room with a toilet-- not the tidiest place, but it wasn't scary either. If you're 20-something, not picky, and traveling cheap, I highly recommend. Definitely not a luxury hotel, but hey, you get what you pay for. I feel like I got full value out of my 60+ dollars/night here. I'm glad I didn't blow $250 down near the convention center. I just needed a safe, quiet place to crash for 5 nights, and I got that. Staff were nice.
Great location, affordable. Ideal for people who want to be downtown and don't need luxury. Definitely more of a hostel than a hotel, although I stayed in a private room. You have to pay $3 for a worn out towel. Clean the bathtub before you use it and bring flip flops if you plan to take a shower (all showers are shared). My mattress was pretty uncomfortable but not the worst. The locks on the door are kinda sketchy. The older white gentleman checking people in blatantly ignored an Asian American woman in order to serve two ditzy white girls first. He also overcharged me but then when I went back and showed a different staff member my voucher I got a refund for the overcharged amount.
The people who work here are most definitely awesome!!! not sure where to eat, where to look around to have fun ask them and they will tell you the best place's to go!!! Not to sure of the people living here feels like they full time live here just some of them but not a bad thing just to keep in mind but I felt 100% safe and I'm sure if any problems they will take care of it. But IV had a great time here and will come back so really can't say anything bad
Cost, cleanliness, and location were all fine. Noisy. Not just the other residents, but the pipes made a lot of noise at night. The plumbing was poor (almost no water pressure in the shower). And even with the curtains drawn, the room leaked a lot of light from the hallway at night, so it never really got dark.
The staff were super friendly and attentive- the first day there was a problem with our bedding, and they changed the sheets right away. Overall, the place was ok, reasonably clean for a hostel (they could stand to clean the common shower area more often, however- hair was clogging the drain). It would be nice to get a few more appliances in the kitchen area so guests could actually use it. The rooms have no A/C and tiny fans that don't do much, which can be a problem during the summer. The beds are hard as a ROCK..I'm 26 and my back was killing me by the time I left. Also, there is a club next door that plays loud club music all hours of the day. Not the hostel's fault, but if you're looking for a good night sleep, I'd suggest requesting a room that doesn't face 11th ave.
Dirty, loud, lots of scary people. Didn't feel safe. Wouldn't stay again.
Nice staff, simple nice room, option for private bathroom, great location. Loved fan and open window instead of air conditioning. Despite it looking very tidy and clean, not as relaxing as staying at a nice hotel. But for the price, totally awesome and good enough for me. I would recommend it.
