Excellent location, friendly staff, a diverse breakfast menu. No air conditioning, church bells till midnight, small room. Our friends didn't get breakfast with the room and they paid as much as we did. When I booked it was not an option. Breakfast is expensive if you have to add it. The room is furnished in Danish modern. You have to side step between the bed and the wall.
Location of the hotel and the facilities of the hotel
Location location location. By far the best part. Complimentary breakfast was very good. It's more than just cereal and hard-boiled eggs. you get a range of meats, eggs, a good coffee machine, fruits, yogurt, etc. Very nice. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are incredibly small. I guess this is normal for Copenhagen, but still. I had to get a "Double" bed room after the Singles were sold out, paying a decent amount more, and was surprised at how small the room was (can't imagine what a single would be like). Walls are then (but it is an old building) so you hear everything from your neighbor, as well as screams from Trivoli Gardens, as well as the nearby bell tower (kind of nice actually). In my opinion, not a good value for the money.
The proximity of the church bells... every hour, quarter hour, and half hour -at least we knew what time it was! Fortunately it stopped at midnight and re started at 8am. Pity for us we were staying here to lounge in bed all day and sleep/relax after a very long work period with no breaks. Also, there was no room service available, which didn't bode well with our plans of being super lazy. If you were here to sight see and do normal tourist things then it was fine. The hinges on the bathroom door are extremely noisy/squeeky/grinding, the guy at the desk said yes they were aware of the problem but there was nothing that they could do... so we wedged the door open with my shoes.
Location and "laid back" facilities and staff The room would be too small for anything other than one or two nights
Location.. Room quite basic, but clean and relatively quiet. The elevator was only half-reliable and stopped a few times between floors. The keycards for the room were a bit tricky also for the elevator you had to try the key several times to make it work. I stayed one night and changed for a new keycard once, but it did not help much. The room was only available with an evening buffee which I did not really need as I had other plans - the "free" buffee seemed okey though, popular and crowded.
That breakfast and dinner was included and it had a relaxing environment, especially in the lobby area.
Room was very nice, new furniture, excellent breakfast, location - excelent. -------------------------
The breakfast was very good. The bed was excellent and I also liked the design. Very many nice design features throughout the hotel and in the room. A smell of fresh paint in the room. I believe the closet has been recently repainted.
Room was a decent size, good location and staff were helpful Breakfast choice was limited, evening buffet was not to our taste
Hip and trendy designer atmosphere and friendly staff. Good evening buffet is a good alternative to expensive restaurants. The rooms (especially the single rooms) are rather small and hence inconvenient for a stay of more than 2 or 3 days.
The facilities such as free evening buffet and free coffee & Tea all day are very much appreciated as also the fact that Wifi is free of charge in the hotel. Very convenient central location, nice to go out and explore without having to take a taxi or public transport. Despite having booked a double room for single-use, I was clearly given a single room, which is fine for just one night, but a bit cramped for a longer stay. The rooms are fashionably furbished but the depth of the cupboard isn't sufficient; one can't lay a shirt on the plank not in the length and not even in the width.
excellent hotel staff room had no drawer space to unpack; no way to make tea in room
renting a bike directly at the hotel. Breakfast.
Ideal Hotel for discovering Copenhagen. Quaint and adorable - it has that old-world mystique which works to its advantage - it is not an updated hotel but in this case it is a positive as it adds to the charm. Superb location - plus the hotel makes you feel like you are living like a local would - has a lovely look on the outside, cute courtyard, and outdoor terrace at the front on the wide sidewalk. I would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Bonus: free coffee in the morning offered at reception (better than having to make it yourself), complimentary glass of wine in the evening and free wifi in room. Note: I stayed in the standard room, these rooms are part of the hotel with the newer looking facade. Nothing negative to say, but if you are someone who requires a lavish washroom this is not the hotel for you - very tiny, shower is literally next to the toilet and sink - no separation. It worked for me, part of the 'experience'.
Location. Staff. Good breakfast. Carpets are worn, torn and stained.
Great location and clean. Staff were very helpful in finding locations around the city and were always available. Close to good restaurants and shopping. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus! The beds are very very comfortable and there are nice new LCD screen TVs with several channels in English. Fairly pricey for what you get. Just don't be expecting the lap of luxury as this is not a very modern hotel. The "Family Room/Junior Suite" was pretty small comparatively for Continental Hotels but was comfortable enough for a few days. The shower in my friend's double room was just a shower head on the wall next to the toilet with a small door that separated the two on the wall...meaning there was no separation on the floor and it makes the whole bathroom wet.
Good location. Good breakfast Rooms were tiny. Bed was really small. The hotel lobby is updated but the rest of the hotel is old and dirty
Location was good. Breakfast was good. Rates were reasonable. Area too noisy. Rooms were extremely hot and a little musty. Free WI-FI didn't work most of the time. Elevator only holds 2 people.
Great location! Friendly staff. Cute little rooms with all the basics you need. Wine hour from 5-6 pm was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious! Highly recommended. The shower is a typical European size and format which always turns into a wet mess, but that's probably more my fault because I'm not used to it.
Very central an close to everything, nice free happy hour and staff was young and friendly but lack a little more experience The bathroom is extremely small, very common in Europe... but the water from the shower runs out of the bathroom and into the carpet. Not good. You are stepping into wet floor all the time.
location was great and so was the breakfast room was very tiny
Cheap (for copenhagen) basic and clean, tourist hotspots within 20 walk. Room was small but then we did realise this before we booked.
Loved the view from our corner room. Carpet was old.
I liked the atmosphere at the hotel. It was nice to hang out in the coffee place at the hotel. The staff was wonderful. The elevator was awful, small and dirty. Also the bathrooms on the first floor were quite dirty. It could easily be improved.
Excellent downtown location, efficient low budget hostel. If the hotel staff actually has a vacuum cleaner, they do not know how to use it. The rooms were extremely dirty, to the point that we did not want to put anything on the floor. The blankets were gross.
Good hotel for a weekend, the room and the toilet are small but you can survive if you stay few days. Great position near Radhuspladsen.
Location is very good. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good value for money. The elevator was broken when we arrived. But it was fixed the next day.
Had a flood on toilet the momment i had first shower. Toilet is 1x2 meters altogether.
The hostel is in the center of the city. Only a few minutes walk into the shopping area. In comparisson to other locations the hostel is too expensive.
good location for travellor problem of cleaning
The hotel is in a very central position and near to the central train station The room was way too small
Lots of fellow travellers. Chilled out place for a beer. Setup perfectly for the no frills backpacker. Rooms were no frills.
Friendly staff, free dinner helps travelers to meet people Lockers are of difficult access and expensive.
very good location:right in the center copenhagen, pretty close from Stroget and other shopping streets, less money, but noisy so be ready for crouds of teens and drunk students)
