The staff was extremely friendly. Close to the train station and shopping. The kitchen was a great way to meet new friends. The movie room was very nice. Sometimes it was a little loud outside, but mostly it wasn't.
good mixture of people this is not a hostel; the prices are outrageous and no place that calls itself a hostel should be doing this.
The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The late check out. The staff is awesome! Close to everything. N/A
Urban House is close to all the tourist site and is a short walking distance from the Central Station. The hostel is clean and very modern. Travelers arriving early has no option to check in early. Check in time is 3pm. The hostel has lockers to place your bags if you want to see the city before the 3pm check in. Additionally, breakfast is extra fee.
very good location:right in the center copenhagen, pretty close from Stroget and other shopping streets, less money, but noisy so be ready for crouds of teens and drunk students)
Good hotel for a weekend, the room and the toilet are small but you can survive if you stay few days. Great position near Radhuspladsen.
Friendly staff, free dinner helps travelers to meet people Lockers are of difficult access and expensive.
The hotel is in a very central position and near to the central train station The room was way too small
Lots of fellow travellers. Chilled out place for a beer. Setup perfectly for the no frills backpacker. Rooms were no frills.
good location for travellor problem of cleaning
I liked the atmosphere at the hotel. It was nice to hang out in the coffee place at the hotel. The staff was wonderful. The elevator was awful, small and dirty. Also the bathrooms on the first floor were quite dirty. It could easily be improved.
Location is very good. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good value for money. The elevator was broken when we arrived. But it was fixed the next day.
The hostel is in the center of the city. Only a few minutes walk into the shopping area. In comparisson to other locations the hostel is too expensive.
Excellent downtown location, efficient low budget hostel. If the hotel staff actually has a vacuum cleaner, they do not know how to use it. The rooms were extremely dirty, to the point that we did not want to put anything on the floor. The blankets were gross.
Had a flood on toilet the momment i had first shower. Toilet is 1x2 meters altogether.
It is modern and the staff are very nice It was very expensive for the room after you add it all up.... breakfast, linen, no luggage storage after you check out at 10am.... the cafe was pricey and not reflective of the hosteling environment. The kitchen to prepare your own meals was small, dirty and in the basement.
The location could not be beat, it is a 15 minute walk to the heart of the city.
the design of cafe things could be easily stolen.
The blanket was smelling really bad. I hardly accepted the idea that I had to pay the bed lines and the towels, but it's absolutely ridiculus to pay the hair dryier, the soap..
It was very near the center of Copenhagen. They charge you for bed sheets if you dont have them, wich is strange because nobody takes sheets when it goes to hostel and they its forbidden to use your sleeping bag. In addition you pay some extra money if you dont have some kind of Hostel card which is again stupid. Result is you pay twice more than you have booked :(
The price is reasonable considering the location of the hotel, and the rooms fairly clean. I can recommend the hotel if you just want a good value bed and in need of no other facilities. Service was below par even for a hostel, the first room we got keys to was already occupied. Although paying at arrival they wanted us to pay for the second room again, before realizing their mistake. And finally the staff argued about our late check-out before realizing we had paid extra for this. Don´t forget they charge you an extra "hostel club membership fee" of 35 DKK per bed and night.
The location is good and the room is really nice!!! It charges for EVERYTHING,including the linen and the sheet which is very very unreasonable!!!! And the hostel requires the guest to pay membership fee which is more unreasonable!!!!!
location roommate were too noisy, enter to room late and chat, keep light on. Toilet should be separate with shower room, coz this is 8 beds room, it is always busy
It is modern and has a good location The elevators had long waits during busy times and are not enough to sustain 1000 guests. The Kitchen to prepare your own food was small and in the basement and the furniture was filthy. there is no luggage storage once you check out which is at 10 am sharp. The other services like internet, breakfast, bar and coffee shop were expensive for it being a hostel.
I was in a conference near to the hotel. The location was excellent for this. Poor service, bad value for money
Good rooms, excellent breakfast! Many additional taxes... Real price increases on 10-15 euro.
It was clean Even though it was cheap, it was still too expensive for what it was. I got annoyed when I got there and was informed that they sent me an email ( I never recieved) where it said I had to pay extra for bedsheets and for a card to allow me to stay there. Further more, it was a place for poor homeless people in denmark and I did not feel comfortable staying there.
I liked stay at the Danhostel Copenhagen Amager becouse it is pretty cheap and nor far from Copenhagen Airport Kastrup.
Decent distance to metro and airport. 10min walking and 20min train/metro to airport. Many showers. Too expensive for a hostel that's not in the center of things. Extra $7 for linens (no towel) is a bit excessive. Not enough electric outlets in room/next to beds, where you can charge your phone
The rooms and restroom was clean. The place was not crowded and so there was no queuing up for the restrooms! probably because it was winter time and there were not many travellers to copenhagen at that time. It was very close to a metro stop(bella centre) and hence we were well connected to the rest of the city. There were no shops nearby and it was in a kind of isolated area. So better to stock yourselves up with food and groceries before you reach the place. Of course the hostel had some stuff like noodles, bread and other eatables and a decent kitchen, but new travellers may not adjust to it immediately.
I had a roof on my head! I had to pay everything "extra", even a plastic teaspoon. The room was too little. they take 2% extra price when you pay with credit card.
the room was dreadfully smelly
kitchen and utensils provided. spacious with large common area, as well as playground for children. inconvenient location with 15 mins walk from metro. far away from the city centre. no free wifi. if you are not international hostel member, nd to pay for extra 35DKK per night.
Personal was very nice and kind, I was feeling like a home.
Located directly across the street from Copenhagen Central Station, as well as other central activities like Tivoli and walking distance from The Round Tower, Church of Our Savior, Museum of Denmark, etc. Charming commons room with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Free WIFI & plenty of charge ports. Cleanliness was not good.
The personal could speak English. Unfortunately, the hostel does not provide hospitality. Its entire strategy is to rip of customers with in transparent practices. Additional fees are everywhere: i.e. guest card for non-memberships of Danhostel (DKK. 35.00 per person, per night), bed-linen (DKK. 50.00 per set) and credit card payment (3.75%). Even alcoholic drinks are not permitted if not bought at the hostel. In total, our stay was way to expensive compared to what you get offered: very basic room with shared bathroom facilities. I wonder how this place is rated with 3 stars on booking.com. The service is unfriendly and only interested in your money not in the quality of your stay. We will NEVER stay in this location again!
after booking they told us to pay extra for each person i.e Guest card has to be purchased..which was not mentioned while booking the Hostel, this is really unfair..
It's a good hostel: don't expect the service of an hotel, but the service of an hostel. But the price is very good, if you compare it to danish hotels
BE AWARE! This hostel will charge extra for guest card (DKK 35) and there is no free wireless internet, as advertised. Also it got a little bit noisy at night.
nice for wash no
This hostel is one of a kind. The staff is friendly and professional. I was lucky to experience a diningevening and the food was excellent and very cheap. The breakfast was also very good. The room was bright and clean and I really felt welcome. I'm a frequent hostel user, and I know what to be prepared for. I bring my own bedlinnen and are ofcause an International hostel member.
very expensive. spider in room. so far from the city centre
Nothing good only for youth camps not a true hostel or hotel Dirty we had to kill all the spiders before sleeping, difficult to find the address was not accurate. Need to supply your own sheets, sleeping bags not allowed. Renting sheets and towels from them expensive. We ended up paying the same as a four star hotel. Bunkbeds not comfortable at all. A real downer worst I have experienced.
friendly and helpful staff. First time in Europe and they helped me get around. Its like a cafe/hostel. Has a cafe/bar and little performing stage. You can also come in and out at any hours as you please. It is convenient to EVERYTHING in copenhagen. shower smelled a little funky. it was coming from the drain. and i had to go to the 3rd floor for kitchen. nothing to reduce the rating though, maybe just picky on my part.
